Well stocked, reasonably priced neighborhood art shop. Owner was very welcoming and spent time talking with us about my 12 year old daughters interests in art. We could have easily spent more time (and money 😉) than we did and will definitely be back!

Cute little art store, located in a converted house. Quite a bit of professional art supplies packed in a small layout. Nice owners who were happy to assist with questions.

Cool to buy art supplies from somewhere other than Michaels and hobby lobby, having some Bob Ross liquid white is a nice touch. My wife really enjoyed it because pottery materials were available.

I had met Aaron a year or so back at an event at the Phoenix, but never been to the store itself. I told my husband that I wanted a “big girl” set of watercolors for Christmas, and luckily he remembered this place (we made the attempt to shop local this year wherever possible). Aaron walked him through the various options and helped him choose an excellent new set for me.I love my new set! Cant wait to come by for more supplies as I get deeper into my exploration.

MC Art Supplies has to be the most wonderful place on earth to do business. It certainly is unsurpassed in Waco, and in my considerable experience. The owners greet me at the door, by name. They stock the brands and the products I like. If they dont have it on hand, it appears within a couple of days. They schedule workshops by product reps. A rare artistic gem! I was so surprised by the quality and quantity of art supplies they carry. To top it off they are knowledgeable about each item as well! A friendly creative haven for any level of artist or hobbyist!

I’m really glad me and my wife stumbled upon MC Art Supplies!Every few months we come here to the VA Hospital and try to make the most of the long drive by shopping the bigger Goodwill, ReStore, etc. So imagine our excitement when when we found a locally run, dedicated Art Store here to add to our list.Here at BCS where we live, we only have the big Retail Hobby and Craft Stores and while the one does have a somewhat decent selection, they’re still not a Dedicated Art Store and like they’re name says focus more on the Hobby/Craft stuff like, scrapbooking, t-shirt making, knitting, sewing, plastic flower arrangements? So it’s nice to go in a place that is just Art Focused.They of course have Acrylic, Oil, Watercolors, lots of Mediums for mixing and a Huge selection of Soft Pastels (Retail these are usually only in Box sets) They also have all your Pencils for sketching and coloring, just a really great overall selection.Plus, the Absolute Best part about an Art Store like this is the Atmosphere and Friendly, Knowledgeable Staff.Seriously, big Retail Hobby Stores will literally hire anyone regardless if they’ve even held a paint brush. So Beginners asking questions usually get no answer or lots of questionably right ones. Then they lack most supplies Novice Artist are looking for, focusing on cheaper low quality products and kits.But, you come to a Art Store like this and your not going to have to search for someone to help you and then they more then likely will actually be able to do so. Plus, they have Workshops to help beginners grow or even advanced can do for fun and stress relief. Not to mention the bigger selection of more advanced Art supplies.For sure 5 Stars,I highly recommend checking it out and we can’t wait to go back ourselves!

Went for my first visit. I love this store! Very organized and friendly staff. As soon as I walked in I got greeted by Sienna (kitty) she is so precious. They have everything you will need. I will end with this. I definitely appreciate they have affordable paint brushes and they are in excellent condition. Thank you definitely will be a lifetime customer and thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Absolutely amazing!! I was going to go to hobby lobby but found this place last minute and saw that it was closer to me. I like to support local businesses when I can do this was great. I was asked if I needed assistance as soon as I walked in and I found exactly what I needed and was out in less than five minutes, but if I’m honest I could have spent hours there. The guy who helped me was super nice (I didn’t catch his name). Super cute store with lots of options. Everything I purchased is great quality! 10/10Highly recommend!! I will be going back.❤️

What a find!! This is a proper art supply shop in the heart of Waco. Not a crafts store. Aaron is very attentive and knowledgeable. I won’t be going anywhere else if I don’t have to.

Went to the store for first time today. Was worried it was so small. Super packed with all kinds of great goodies you cant get from big box stores. Very nice and friendly. I will absolutely go back again.

Wonderful family owned business. Aaron was friendly. His mother-in-law and wife were nice too. My husband and I prefer family owned business. Maybe, one day Arron and family will consider donating some Art supplies to the Waco VA Arts and Crafts Clinic (OT). This clinic is a form of therapy for the Women and men veterans.

One of the best artist supplies I have ever visited!!.I have been a artist for 30 years and have works in several galleries. As having limited time I needed a Christmas gift for my wife.it was the last minute,could not find theses special pens .I called but was in a bad coverage area and aron called me right back.I told him the situation I was in and they took the best care of me they got the pens in a record time.I was so impressed!!!some of the nicest people you will meet !!!!!! I highly recommend M C Art Supplies!!!!!!

I just discovered this place today and it will be my new go-to stop for art supplies! They have a fantastic inventory of professional grade paints and brushes. I stopped in for some Gamblin Oils and was very pleased to find that they carry all of the harder to find colors! The owners are super nice and wonderful to talk to. It was a great shopping experience and I will definitely be back!

Ive been in twice, and had a great experience both times. the selection of supplies may not be the largest, but its all quality and they always seem to have what I need as an oil painter. Ive bought paint, brushes and an easel from them so far. I will be going back whenever I need anything.

Ive been purchasing supplies from Mrs Rose & her husband for 25 years. You definitely get excellent service with a smile. The sweetest couple and the cutest shop. They always have what I need and their professional knowledge is outstanding. Not sure what Waco will do without them❤️

They have a great selection of everything. It is perfect for art students since they have the art classes supplies already set up in a pack. The couple who owns it is very kind. Once when I rode my bike in the heat there the lady offered to take me back with my bike in her car.

I love MC’s so much. Anything from oil paints to block printing materials, fine art pens and pencils to film photography essentials—they’ve got you covered. I have always found exactly what I needed at MC’s. And the owners are the coolest! Sienna the cat will befriend you immediately when you walk in. Great place, great business!
