I am truly pleased with this place. After three visits for various reasons, I can safely say that I trust their expertise and I believe their prices are fair. This is the kind of place where you can get to know the staff and develop a long-term customer/auto service relationship. Its like choosing a doctor, but for your car. This is a good choice!
I have owned Volvo’s since 1978 and I love the car. I bought my used ‘91 Volvo in 2017 and it had so many problems. Other shops didn’t do the job right and I was so discouraged until...Stuart at Advanced Automotive started working on Otto. They have been so patient with me and Otto...and it is running so much better. It is a big relief and Thank you Stuart, Rachel and Kim for keeping this old car running and me independent and happy.
I was very impressed with the professionalism/great work I received from Stewart at Advanced Automotive. Rachael was also very helpful and quick to respond when I had a question about my vehicle. Great people! Definitely recommend using this company!
2 stars because i usually try not to come in with a bad attitude but my belt broke leaving oreillys next door. I asked the store clerks to rent a ratchet/breaker bar because someone was already using them ay OReillys but NO TOOL RENTAL!! I only needed to put my belt on...the only 3/8 size they had was an ratch with 100 positions for almost 50 bucks!! Never again...not if i have a choice...
Dealing with this shop has been a complete nightmare! Took a 2000 Jaguar in June 6 (was told it would take 2 weeks) they called October 7 said the car was finally ready! Picked car up drove two blocks car broke down! Kyle the manager tried to explain that because the car was old and had sat for years new problems would occur! This was after paying them $10,500 to fix the car! Problem was something they had supposedly fixed!! They word their invoices so it puts the burden on the customer for their inability to fix your car! Rachael is very dishonest! I honestly believe their technicians are incompetent! Several parts “fell apart” in their hands! I was charged twice for an oil change! They claim to have rotated tires knowing I was taking car for new tires! They broke the console which they claimed “fell apart” as well! Please do NOT use this shop! I find peace in knowing KARMA always finds her way to wicked and dishonest people! Advanced Automative is the worst shop in town! They could take a lesson from Jessie Britt! I only used Advanced because Jessie Britt don’t do the electrical work on this car!!
They did an amazing job on my 06 Benz
Diagnosed and fixed a problem another local automotive place had not been able to determine for a YEAR! Car runs as well as l got it in 2012! Only praise...and nice people!
I have no clue if the mechanics there do good work or not. Couldn’t make it past their receptionist poor communication skills. She stated first come first serve for a diagnostic test and then go from there. We dropped off the car at 8:30 and didn’t get a call the whole day. The next morning called to see what was going on if anything and got told that it was still being checked. Called again in the after noon and got told the same thing and also got requested not to call again until they called us. That’s when we just went ahead and pick up our car to take it somewhere else.
Worst shop Ive been to in a long time. Got charged 600 for belts and they didnt even do a diagnosis, just tossed the parts on there and hoped for the best now have to go to another shop to fix their mistake cause they cant even put a belt on right. What a waste.
Amazing, friendly service...
Melvin showed up on time got truck dropped off at the shop great company
Very nice staff
I have taken several vehicles to Advanced Automotive as there arent many shops around Waco that work on older German and British cars. I was pleased with their work at first, but now, am anything but.My first incident arose when I dropped off a car with functioning windows and sunroof only to pick up a car with rear windows and a sunroof that no longer functioned. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and moved on.Next, I dropped off a Land Rover for a new transfer case. Upon picking up the truck, I immediately noticed a loud rattling sound. I returned the truck. Advanced Automotive diagnosed the issue as a broken catalytic converter (the baffles came apart inside) and refused to address the issue. Despite the fact that a truck was dropped off with a catalytic converter intact, that catalytic converter was then removed to install a transfer case, reinstalled, and then the truck was delivered to me; Advanced Automotive refuses to back their work or mend the damage they caused to my truck.Advanced Automotive may save you a bit in labor, but in the end, youll end up paying for it in additional repairs. I would steer clear and pick one of the other shops in the area.

Fair and reasonable prices. Great technicians
My cars oil light came on every time I got an oil change, they charged me $200 to check it. A month later, after they took everything apart, my car completely broke down. I called them and they said it might be sludge bit it would be at least $100 just to check it. I went somewhere else and they told me it should be sold for scrap metal. On the way home my car died and we had to push it, and eventually sold it to a junkyard. Every time I got an oil change there something went wrong, but it was $100 because they said I needed a special additive. I think the first time, they put regular oil in when my car had synthetic, then tried to cover their tracks. TLDR: my car died going to them and they just wanted more money.
They told me they could repair my car. After a bill for over $300.00, they came back and told me they could not repair my car. A month later, I called them and asked how much to replace a window regulator and motor and the window. They told me it would cost over $420.00 in labor. I did the job myself in 3 hours. Their labor cost is around $50.00 an hour. I used to take all of my cars there that were out of warranty. I will be taking my cars somewhere else from now on.
