Zero stars I hope this review helps someone to not go there and waste your valuable time. This is a horrible store to sell any of your baby items. I brought in many baby boy clothing items and it is hard to find baby boy clothes and I was only offered $20 for well over ten items. They stole from me. They mixed my items up with someone else or just completely stole from me. I just don’t understand. I was not given a break down of what they took and how much each item was because they stole from me! I will never sell here ever again. Not worth the 45 minute plus wait time or any time at that.To your response I wasn’t given the option to go over the items before I cashed out and you all took more than sleepers do not lie. You all didn’t even give me 5% of what those sleepers were worth. You all took so many items. And on top of that I wasn’t given the option to get my items back. When buying from people you all need to go over your rules throughly and not mix up clothing items with other sellers. I will not be returning to your so called convenient store to be stolen from.

Ill start off by saying the store is well organized, seemed to be decently clean. But I am fairly disappointed. I went in with the intentions to sell the 200+ items that I had from my son ranging from NB to 3 months and purchasing ones in his size. All in VERY good condition. Some still brand new that he never wore, they just didn’t have the tags because I wash all of my kids clothes before they wear them. The associates took 30 items out of the lot I had and refused the rest due to “staining”. I couldn’t help but laugh because they didn’t take any items that were brand new.. there couldn’t possibly be any stains. I honestly feel like they didn’t go through the items and were being lazy. And when I walked the store I saw clothes that were in ugly condition. Lint balls and stains on pajamas etc. I drove from out of town 45 minutes to have this experience. Will NEVER go here again.

I enjoy the lower prices but you better make sure that you save all the tags when you purchase just in case you return the itemI bought clothing for my grandson there and the jeans and shoes were just a bit smallso I returned with the reciept but had removed the tags as I had to clean the shoes before giving them . . . .I picked out a size larger and when I got to thge counter was told they could not exchange even with the reciept . . . . . so they gave me pennies on the dollar for what I had paid . . . . .I would have saved money by going to a name brand storeso . . . . from this day forward will do just that . . . .I will never enter that store again . . . .

These ladies are so polite and honest and respectful.,I have met sum really great people in here.I believe I even meet an Baylor University Student here once before. My favorite is the Boss Lady and Ms. Angelina Diaz there awesome reasonable and always keep it clean and smelling good. Want nice things for your babies with friendly pleasant smiles,then this is the place to be!

I love OUAC, I love that I can sell the clothes my little out grows and replace them all at the same time. I have always been given great prices for the stuff I sell, and they stuff they didnt take they have always explained why. The point system is the best and as far as I know they are the only ones that do the point system that 20-25% comes in handy. :) I ABSOLUTELY love that they sell the Boutique section and the highest I have ever paid for their boutique clothes was $8.50 (compared to retail at $30-$50.00) that is a great deal especially when your babies grow so fast and only get to wear somethings maybe once or twice before they out grow it. Your baby can still look stylish and for a great price. I have always gotten great shoes there as well. I love the selection they have. I do however agree that some of the younger girls working there can be rude, but I just chalk it up to their age. i will say that out of all the times I have been in bought/and sold in the last year and a half I have only had maybe 3 bad experiences. Not everyone has the best of days and sometimes they might not even notice that they are coming across the way that you are taking it.. Anyways, I loved everyone that I have ever dealt with as far as selling goes and I also understand the fact that they only buy what they can sell, what sense does it make for them to buy items that doesnt make them money in return? I always recommend my friends with babies and toddlers to go here!

My FAVORITE place to go for 4 of my kids needs! I’ve been coming here since they opened and I love Ally and Myra. I save tons of money and I love to skip a bag for the extra points. I wish they sold junior sizes cause my oldest that’s 12 doesn’t like Plato’s closet their stuff is kind of expensive and not worth the buy. I’m currently pregnant now and I’m here 2/3 times every month! Thanks Jennifer for having an amazing team and a great store! You guys will be expanding soon and I can’t wait!

They may not take everything but they do have really good clearances or sale events that go on throughout the year. You can also buy new stuff when people bring clothes or other items with brand new tags still attached. Ive enjoyed buying my kids clothes here since kids grow super fast. So its pretty convenient that way.

I am a frequent shopper at OUAC Waco. Every time I go in the store I am greeted by the friendly staff. The store is very organized making it easy to find just what I’m looking for. My favorite part about the store is the cleanliness! I have been in many resale shops and I can say it’s rare to find one that’s clean & smells nice. You won’t be disappointed!

A friend told me about this place and said I had to check it out. I had some time to kill one day in between jobs, so I checked it out. I fell in love. I now go in at least once a week, and never leave empty handed or without a bargain find. The staff are great, so helpful! And they always have great merchandise at a great price. I shopped throughout my pregnancy and was able to get almost everything I needed for my new baby here. I also was able to outfit my 11 and 2 year old children. Cant say enough how much I love this place and all the staff! If you want to get quality clothing and accessories, from helpful staff and at a great price you this is the only place you will need to shop! Love it! You will feel like family once you walk in the door!

I have shopped and sold here for over 3 years. The staff is usually nice and helpful. Selection for clothes is good though sometimes theres not much in toddler sizes which is understandable since they have more wear and tear. Prices are fair and smaller infant sizes have a good selection of clearance. We shop here before we ever look in retail

Little high to me for clothes that people sell but good quality clothes. Staff helpful and friendly . Hours that open I am not to keen on. Dont open till 11 on weekends open at 10 on rest of week. Can sign up for email events and collect points to use in store

I traded clothes and got a 10% discount towards my purchase. One of the jeans I bought my daughter didnt fit so I returned them for another pair of jeans that were the EXACT same price as the original ones. The lady told me I owed 70 cents. Umm no. You kept the clothes I traded so why dont I get to keep my discount towards an EXCHANGE. I told her to give me my money back and Id go to The Childrens Place for a pair of brand new jeans cheaper than what I paid at their store. Craziness.

So I just moved to Waco, tx and we have a similar store in California Santa Clarita to be exact and to be honest this store here is way over prized! The products are not the best you can get new stuff for the same price at old navy or target. California the store had more quality items and is way less expensive it’s sad to see that people are taken advantage off with these extremely high prices

I love shopping and selling here! The employees are very nice about items that they are unable to take and I feel like I get a good deal on the items that they do take. My kids love to shop with me while we wait! I recently signed up for their loyalty program and receive coupons making the deals even better. Definitely my favorite baby/ kid store!

This store is amazing! Its very organized and neat which makes shopping so much easier. The selections available are almost overwhelming and the clearance deals can not be overlooked. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. I will definitely be back!!

This is the only place I shop for my toddlers clothes because theres no point in buying them new clothes its expensive and they grow it out in months!!This place is awesome I love how they got little shopping carts this is soooooo helpful for my little kids so I can shop at ease without running around the store chasing them.They have great clothes great prices and great staff!!

I LOVE THIS STORE! When I found out I was having a little girl I was so excited. But was worried that I would end up spending a fortune on baby clothes! Then I found Once Upon A Child. I literally shop there like twice a week. They always have super cute, super affordable clothes and everytime I go there are new items. They also buy clothes and other baby items. And its nice to sell items to the store, like clothes she has grown out of and then use that money to buy bigger sized clothes and other items we need! Its a store that is catered to a growing child! I seriously love it!

Buyer/Seller be warned, we had just went in to sell a stroller that was given to us and we didnt need. We went in and the lady that greeted us was nice but the person who did the look over on the stroller was straight rude and had an attitude about the whole thing, only to end up declining us and telling us they do not clean anything they put on the floor. Them saying that makes me not want to buy anything from their store as it makes it seem disgusting. Who knows what my child could get from their store if they do not clean their items.

This place is garbage! Me and my wife went in 1pm with a huge laundry basket FULL of little girls clothes in great condition and some miscellaneous toys, they told us to fill out some paperwork and drop it off, so we went and walked the mall. Well 4pm rolled around and we drove back so we wouldnt just lose all of it. They offered us $7.90 for THREE outfits and a small toy. They made us wait for three hours for that? I hope they go out of business.

Cheap and great deals. But theyve really gone downhill lately. They used to accept every brand but now they wont accept Gerber or Garanimals which is like half my sons wardrobe. I tried to return a huge bag of clothes (90% never worn by my son and still with the OUAC tags attached) and they wouldnt even accept half. I asked her why she wouldnt buy back the Carters that still had the her stores tag on it and she said because the seam was coming loose a little. Thats how I bought it from them! So they accepted it from somebody at some point. They paid me so little that I couldnt afford to turn around and get my son any more clothes. Really upsetting.

We were told it would be about 20 minutes since we only had 1 item. We waited for 40 minutes and finally had to walk up and ask them how much longer, only then did they take one look at the swing and say they couldn’t take it because a strap was missing that we hadn’t noticed. This whole process should have taken 5 minutes not almost an hour.Edit: I’m not upset that they wouldn’t take it, I understand it’s a safety issue. I’m upset that what should have taken 5 minutes, took almost an hour.

Bought my grandson some clothes and a pair of shoes. Very clean and organized. The people are friendly. The return process is very simple.

Usually a good place for a bargain sometimes you have to wait and come back to see if anything new has come in. I went for a specific size in toddler girls and it had barely any selection in that size but a lot of clothes in my other kids sizes, just my luck lol. Very organized, they even color code it in there🙂

Bought almost nothing that I brought them. In my opinion they should advertise that they buy new clothes only. But it is wonderful to be able to buy discounted clothes.

This is the one stop shop for everything I need when it comes to the kids! Lose a pair of shoes? They have it covered. Break a pair of flip-flops, they have another pair in the bin. One of the girls needs a top to match her skirt? They have it! The kids explore the toys (which they also have a fantastic selection of) and they cost just enough that they can spend their allowance on them. Potty emergency? They have a bathroom. Clothes didnt fit your baby? They have a great return policy. And to top it all off, they offer REWARDS for shopping! The customers service is excellent as well, Im always greeted when I come in and they dont bat an eye when my toddler has a melt down because they understand. :DIf you havent started shopping here yet, I suggest that you try it once because you will be hooked! -Whitney du Menil

Ive had the worst experience in this store, the employees quote you a time, but would rather sit around joking and talking instead of doing their job. Not even worth going into because of how unprofessional the employees are. And no I did not cuss out the employees, I was having a private conversation that had nothing to do with them.

The more I go in here to sell stuff seems the less I receive for my items. A pair of Oakley toddler flip flops old navy toddler jeans a toddler ride on toy and other clothes n they said was just going to give 6.00bucks for. Not coming back.AND turned down my pack n play. They said was stained. They had one they did accept behind the counter that had more stains than mine. 😒

I love shopping here. I always find something for my son for a reasonable price and everything is in great condition. I go almost every week.

Brought in a truck load of stuff and they only bought 18 items. A whole $24. Said it was out of style. Mind you clothes are only 2 yrs old. They were also very judgemental. Will not be coming back and dont recommend them to buy your stuff.

Horrible experience. Do not waste your time. Had a car full of baby stuff in very good condition and they accepted one box. Would not let me see ticket when I asked what they accepted and how much they gave me for the items. Was really hoping to have found a great place to trade clothes and baby items as my children grew. No luck, will never return.

I took in maybe 100 to 150 items of NB to 6 months.. Some if which still had price tags on them.. They gave me $1.60 for 5 items out of everything I took in.. Didnt even cover gas to take them in.. I believe its because they didnt want to go through them.. When I went they had a 2 hour wait so if course someone who doesnt want to do their job isnt going to go through the clothes.. Of course they gave an excuse of it doesnt do forg in this market!!!!!! I will never go there again!!!!!!!!

I love this store I always find stuff for my baby ! I just went this week and bought a few pairs of shoes I couldnt help myself because its affordable! And there is a bit of everything. They also have an Instagram page which I think is really cool because they post often . By far my favorite baby store because they have everything from clothes to shoes, toys, bottles, strollers etc and employees are nice they greet you as you come in (entering for the gift card, my IG is always_rosy) everything I said is still true I recommend this store

I love this store! Whenever I am having problems finding specific items they always seem to have what I am looking for (cleats, specific color ties, baseball pants, Easter outfits etc.) .I have learned to just start there when looking for my kids clothes!

My incident happened a few weeks ago, and initially I was just going to let this go... But when I found myself today with a rare couple hours to myself, and three new foster placements in my home in need of clothes, and I simply. could. not. bring myself to go to Once Upon a Child -- even though it was open during the hours I needed, and my now-preferred Smarty Pants was not -- I realized I was very much not letting this go after all. But a few weeks ago, I went in to the store to return a pair of shoes that were the wrong size for another FD of mine. Had the receipt, handed everything over, expected to be in and out with my $5 back (which I very likely would have used right then to buy something else because I normally cant ever resist their clothing racks) within minutes. But when the cashier went to scan the sticker on the shoes (after a plenty long wait, mind you), she told me that their system showed that item had never been sold. Pointing out where the receipt said I bought the pair of shoes for $5, the same price listed on the sticker I had never removed on the shoe sole, meant nothing to her. And when she called the manager to say what was going on to see if she should give me a refund or not, her repeated comment of They might have just jumped in the bag, when talking left me embarrassed and furious. You want to imply I stole these shoes, which are blatently on the receipt, when it would have been one of your faults for somehow messing things up when you checked me out, and tell me theres nothing you can do about it because the computer says those are still yalls shoes anyway? And then when Im exasperated, and I say Fine, can I sell them to yall? and Im told that I can, but technically youre doing it as a favor because the computer says they are ours anyway... and let your sentence trail off as if you think... What? That I should otherwise let yall just keep the shoes you accuse me of having jump in my bag? I dont think so. Ill take my petty $2.50 I can get, and all my future business as a mom with five kids, and head over to literally any shop but this one.

I went in the store today and went to purchase a shirt and the girl said hold on a minute walked off and whispered to another employee then came back and said I am sorry we mis tagged this item and it’s not $2.50 it’s at least $5.50 sorry about that. That’s our mistake would you like to still purchase the item... no I would not like to purchase the item not that $5.50 is a big deal it’s the way that it was handled you can’t tag a item for one price and then when I go to buy you come back and tell me it’s more than doubled what it was marked..

I like buying there because its not so expensive. But will not sell my items to them anymore took alot of baby clothes that some were used one time only and they say there were worn out really? They got maybe @8 dresses from me only some with tags and got 16$ back just for that. I think if they have too many clothes they should not accept til they get rid of shome.

Great place to shop though there are clothes that are brand new with tags still yet they try to up the price. But usually a good place to shop. As for them buying clothes from individual. I feel that the workers are lazy. Not just from observing and seeing first hand the I dont wanna do this attitude but hearing say out loud Im so tired of buying clothes from people I wish they would just stop brining them in. Being told it will be a 30 to 40 minute wait for them to go through what you bring in yet they only go through the first 13 items on the top part of the basket and say Im done and never call your name or call your phone. Their reasoning for not buying the rest of the items in they really stained or they are fading yet I go through the basket when I get home and the brand new clothes my baby never got to wear with tags on them still were never taken hmmm..... seems like just lazy employees making up excuses. Fading and staining isnt in this basket either any faded or stand clothes were taken out prior to going to sell. And again the items they bought were the first 13 that were on top and I know this cause I got to see what they bought.

Went in today to return some clothes that didnt fit my child...brought in all required receipts...left tags on clothes like asked...but because I had my wife run in and buy with her card they refused to do return claiming that the receipt and clothes might not be mine since our debit cards didnt match....any other business would want to make the customer happy since they are essentially in the customer service business...all I got to say is Platos closet or the other kid buyback store in Waco wouldnt have given me as much as a hassle...now I get to drive 50 miles back home to get a very specific card...thanks once upon a child...if I could give 0 stars I would

Found cheap prices on very good clothes

When they first opened the workers were a little older and seemed to be women with children. Most of the clothing I took in, Carters, Childrens PLace, etc, no stains, mostly all worn once, were all accepted. Lately, there are more younger girls that do not really know what baby style is, I took in a basket of clothing, osh gosh, old navy, carter, etc.. all super, no stains, no tears, no fading. Nice, expensive popular clothes. My babies are always told how ice they look. Well 80% of the basket were turned away because, they didnt think people would want them. I went home & sold them all with in an hour on fb. I was going to use the money there but I looked & their clothes are not so great anymore, we looed through the shoes & couldnt find a decent pair of size 5 shoes. Looked through 2T pants, all really worn out looking. I guess my babies clothes arent what they were looking for. Thank Goodness. Too bad they have gone down so fast. I thought they would be great.

Horrible. The selection wasnt great, the clothes looked worn, and the music playing was too loud and completely inappropriate for a childrens store. It was extremely abrasive and unpleasant to be in the store because of the music. Staff was rude.
