This business has been around for years. Large store with plenty to choose from. If you are looking for your first firearm the gentlemen working the counter can be a great help. Store also has used firearms and will buy since they are a pawnshop as well. Tools, stereos, speakers, guitars and lots of things to shop for.

Im a long time customer. Ive bought several guns some tools and a bit of jewelry and never had a bad experience, everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful, would definitely recommend.

They have a nice selection of guns at a slightly higher price than other places. Layaway is good though. Two stars because the guy wouldnt let me take some GI style hand guards off of a used AR-15 to check what kind of barrel it had. He told me it took a special tool. LOL!Ill shop somewhere else from now on.

The entire staff is knowledgeable about their inventory. The owner is always eager to come out to greet customers and assist in the sale if at all possible. I have rifle on layaway. A great program. What I enjoy the most is that a person can handle any rifle or shotgun without asssistance. The older workers there far outweigh in knowledge, and in customer service, than the few younger ones. Just how it is today. More ammunition would make it a perfect small shop. :)

Was just in Praco, for about 30 minutes looking at their guns and not one of the people there acknowledged me or ask if I needed help, but others who came in after me. They were being greeted and assisted without an issue. Seeing as I was planning on purchasing a weapon today, they just lost my buisness.

I usually only review restaurants, but man did I have an experience hereIve been to Prego a few times over the years, very nice to look around, the problem is when buying or sellingI was checking out a guitar amp that I had a very high interest in buying, I turned it on to about 3 volume and was playing a little before an employee came and told me I was bothering the other patrons, but this was no large amp, this was a 15 watt 1x12 set on three volume, not to mention THE STORE WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY, I believe it was a Tuesday at around 3 pm, and the store was completely barren, this completely turned me off, the are actively stopping me, the only customer in the store, from making a purchase, I left the store empty handedIve also had issues when selling stuff, when it comes to places like Cash America and other chains, when looking at music equipment, the employees have no problem admitting they dont know about the item. The employees at Praco have the biggest ego problem Ive ever seen, I seriously cannot begin to explain. They make up nonsensical reasons about why they cant take your stuff, for real, just tell me you dont know, a little bit of honestly goes a long way, I dont want to hear about how youre unsure of the exact year model, and theres aftermarket modifications, we can always tell when you have no idea what youre talking about, so stop trying to make stuff up so you can seem superior over the customerTLDR; high ego employees who do everything in their power to make sure you dont interrupt their entire shift-long breakAvoid this place like the plague, seriously, Id sooner reccomend EZ Pawn

About 4 years ago Jody waited on me when I bought a handgun - service excellent!About 6 months later I returned to buy .30 cal rifle (had cash in pocket) and found that Jody left. The man behind the counter began to speak with me until a good-looking gal came up. His attention went to her when I hesitated to ask another question. I stepped back somewhat annoyed and listened to their conversation. She wasnt buying for herself but wanted to look at some handguns. It was obvious that the counter-man wanted to spend time on a no-sale. I walked out and never returned.I found a smaller gun store - family run. At this small gun store I bought my rifle, two shotguns, and two more hand guns.

I visit Praco often. Jody used to be my service guy, but Craig has been lately. I think their guns are price well lower than Ive seen on other sights, and Ive bought about six guns and two rifles there. Thanks, Craig.

This was the go to pawn shop when it was in the old location. I visited a few days ago around closing time just to browse. I was not asked if i needed help with anything and there was not one P-MAG for my m4. What kind of place that has that many modern sporting rifles for sale doesnt keep stocked up on pmags. They have a dedicated section for ar15 configurations and accessories but no pmags. They also had no selection whatsoever for rifle ammo. I believe there was american eagle .223 ammo for 10$ a box for 20. Thats it. Ridiculous and theyre prices on everything else are offensively high. I will never return.

Best place to buy a gun in Waco. My family has bought dozens of guns from Praco. Ive heard competitors negative remarks but I havent experienced any issues. My wife took the Annie Oakley class from Debra & she learned alot. If they dont have, they will order it. 6 months interest free layaway. CANT BEAT THEM BY FAR

Business is FFL licensed, I shipped a shotgun from NC to TX for my nephew. Upon shipment, they informed my nephew that they would have to hold it for 21 days and that it would cost $100.00. Well I buy and ship several shotguns and the cost is $25.00 to transfer. I called another FFL licensed business in Waco, TX when I found this out and they found this ridiculous. They suggested I have it transferred to them. When I called them to do this they stated it would cost $100.00, then I suggested mailing it back to me for I already knew how much that cost, but they would only do it for $100.00. So to make a long story short, they were going to make $100.00 regardless. This is a ripoff place....DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM....they will take your money!
