We randomly found Heritage Creamery on Google last night while craving ice cream and decided to try it on our way home from San Antonio- what a good choice! The homemade waffle cones are absolutely deliciously flakey and the ice cream flavors are unique. The Mexican cola float is refreshing (and comes in a compostable cup- bonus!!). Love the decor and also appreciated the patience with our asking what each flavor entailed. Will definitely be back again when we are in Waco. Dont miss this stop!

Absolutely, by far, the best local homemade ice cream Ive ever had. I am not an ice cream eater, and my daughter got one but didnt finish it, so I tried it. I am officially now an ice cream eater. The homemade cones are so amazing, and the chocolate covered banana ice cream is fabulous.

Top notch ice cream!! Highly recommend this sweet little shop! I got a freshly rolled cone, yum. The cones are incredibly thin so require a delicate grip but was perfect on texture and flavor impact! The Cowboy Coffee was alright, a little less coffee-y than I expected... The salted Texas caramel was scrumptious!! As it was my first time, I was also gifted a small dollop of the salty vanilla bean since they arent doing samples at this location... I wish I had gotten that instead of the coffee. Service was impeccable, kind and fun young guys that made me and my friend feel so welcome...! Will definitely be going again after my stomach settles, its honestly worth the trouble for me even if I have a sensitivity, haha!

Such a jewel here in Waco it was suggested to stop by before we left town and we are so glad we did this place was very busy but we were taken care quickly and politely the unique flavors were awesome I had cookie crumble and chocolate with the most perfect cone my wife had coconut strac..... Something lol but it was delicious thanks for a wonderful memory

Friendly atmosphere. & I love trying local spots but this place was not good. My husband got the strawberry balsamic in a waffle cone, you couldn’t taste the strawberry & the cone was so fragile. I got a banana covered in chocolate flavored ice cream and you couldn’t taste the banana at all, I got it with a chocolate chip cookie sandwich & not even the cookie was tasty.

Great little shop with great ice cream! We got the blueberry and chocolate ice cream and both were delicious. Everything is very clean and the girls working were very friendly. Would definitely go here over any other ice cream place I’ve been to.

Disappointing. My hubby and I went here tonight and were hoping for some tasty ice cream. From the reviews I expecting good ice cream. I ordered a scoop of mint and a scoop of dark chocolate, and my husband got dark chocolate and the staff favorite salted caramel. The mint was so subtle if I didnt know it was mint I would have missed the flavor altogether, and the dark chocolate tasted very weak as well. I tried my husbands caramel and mind you I do not like caramel, and was such a weak tasting caramel I could have eaten it. If I buy flavored ice cream, I expect it to actually taste like the flavor I ordered. Benefit of the doubt...maybe the person mixing the flavors needs to be re trained?I gave two stars because the counter people were nice and it was a cute place.

Unique and delicious ice cream flavors! Very refreshing, as it almost has an icy aftertaste, but it completely works. My favorite is honey lavender. The cones are great as well. Environment is trendy and beautiful. Definitely worth a visit!

I cannot say enough about this quaint ice creamery! Great for studying and not super pricey for a homemade ice cream place. We brought our 3 year old and it was even a good place for her. Try the Texas Butter Pecan in a crispy homemade waffle cone for a mindblowing experience. (Pick up a cup and spoon though, the cones are thin and WILL break).

The staff is really friendly and respectful. You can request samples of the ice cream flavors and there are various menu options.The overall aesthetic of the place is really pretty. Theres a vintage truck in front of the shop and multiple picture worthy spots.I got the dark chocolate and the chai pie flavored icecreams and they were SO good. I didnt get to try one, but the cookies also looked amazing.

Love this place and we have always brought our 2 kids here and we spend about $20 each time considering it’s about $5 per item.My waffle cone cracked on me as I was going to sit down on the couch and it fell on the floor, then I asked to get help cleaned up and she helped.I proceeded to the counter thinking they would make me another one since the cone cracked on me before I could even get into it. Lady began to ring me up for another and I asked if I could just get another one to replace my waffle cone that just broke and she replied rudely “it’s not our obligation to replace your cone” even though it literally just fell apart in my hand.Such a good place and everything there is delicious but if you can’t replace my $5 or the give me replacement cone than I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

SO... we happened to find this shop after googling cant miss stops in Waco and boy were we glad we did! Everything is made in store and was delicious! The salted caramel icecream was some of the best and creamiest I have ever had. My friend and I both agreed we were sad we dont have any Heritage Cremeries in Missouri! If we are ever in Waco again, will go back 100%! Stop in if you get a chance, you will be glad you did!

The handmade ice cream, waffle cones and gourmet cookies are everything youve been looking for in decadence. On a whim, I invited my daughter to meet me for a shake. When we entered, the smell of fresh baked goods overtook all my senses. It was just amazing and the bustling of customers was a happy site. I forgot about a shake ( although the shakes here looked enormous) and decided on a chocolate chip ice cream sandwich on chocolate chunk cookies. My daughter got a cola float. Both were just wonderful. Well definitely be meeting up here for treats again!

Highlight of our trip to Waco. Its the best ice cream Ive had in a long time.My favorite was probably the duck far caramel.Also really liked the flavor of the browned butter pecan but the fat separated in the batch I tried which created a weird texture. Flavor was so good I didnt care though.We also tried the chocolate and strawberry. All were delicious.

My family’s all time favorite ice cream place! It’s the only ice cream place where my kids will finish their own ice cream by themselves. So crazy they can tell a difference in the quality ingredients. My favorite is the Salted Texas Pecan with chocolate chip cookies! Can’t top it anywhere else.

I asked for scoops in a bowl but was ignored and given a cone where the ice cream was almost falling off. An entire scoop just slip off the cone as soon as she handed it to me. Didn’t even offer to give me another scoop, BUT she said and I quote “our counters are clean, you can pick it up if you want”I’m sorry… what??? Needless to say customer service was very unsatisfactory. Ice cream itself was a 6/10.

Amazing ice cream, super delicious and creamy. We had Honey Lavender, Mint Stracciatella, Brown Butter Texas Pecan and Duck Fat Caramel. All these flavors were absolutely delicious. Honey lavender was good the right balance of sweetness and floral notes which was refreshing. Brown Butter Texas Pecan has this nice toasty flavor which was very delicious. Mint Stracciatella the mint wasnt overpowering at all and with the chocolate shavings in it there was this perfect balance which was quite refreshing. Duck Fat Caramel was simply divine, very creamy and delicious. Definitely recommend anyone stopping by Waco to check out this Ice Cream shop next to Baylor University!

I was not aware that Brown Butter Pecan was a flavor of ice cream that I needed to try...let alone LOVE. The girl who took our order was super nice and patient. Oh, and that chocolate chip cookie was BOMB. Heritage for the dub.Update due to a 2nd visit: BEST COFFEE ICE CREAM IVE EVER HAD.

Local organic ingredients and delicious flavors. I recoomend this to anyone and everyone coming to or living in waco. The salty vanilla bean is still my favorite constant flavor but they so create some very intersting and unique delicious flavors. Try an organic root beer while your there!

Today was a horrible day for me first off, but I felt getting ice cream was going to make me feel better, and heritage was the first place that came to mind, so I had to beg my friend to give me a ride. On getting to the store, I saw of the male workers inside, and one was even staking inside the store, and as soon as they saw my friend and me, they acted like they didn’t see us and turned off the store lights. I understand that the last thing you want to be in America is black and female, but come on... I felt insignificant and small. I hope you guys do better next time to other people. Yall need to update your opening hours btw.

This is an amazing historic experience. I have visited twice now and both times were true experiences that I shall never forget. The staff is amazing and anything you would pick to try out of the ice cream case is out of this world. If you’re in Waco and you do not stop at Heritage Creamery, you are missing out!
