I heard great things about this place, and I gotta say that they certainly didnt disappoint. I prepared for a stage 2 tune for over 2 years, I bought and installed the parts over this period. After all my personal work with my car was done, I emailed and scheduled a tune with JR. Due to Covid-19 regulations scheduling is tight and the wait time for me was approximately 2 weeks. Though the wait was worth it and my Legacy GT feels peppy and responsive. Im very impressed with JRs custom tune my power band feels great. I was also surprised when I got mustang dyno results and my car made more power than I anticipated. They also answer my questions after the tune in great detail, and I most certainly learned a lot from the information they given me. Overall, I highly recommend them for your Subaru parts and tuning needs.

Came here 2 times to get my 2020 WRX stage 1 dyno tuned. First time I came in with an OTS Maperformance tune and intake. They recommended that I switch to Cobb to lower my intake air temperatures for better results. 2nd time around they installed the new intake, tgv & EGR deletes, and my short shift plate, then retuned.They were completely honest with me, and I trusted their expertise. The result was fantastic. The engine rarely ever pulls timing anymore, the tune is incredibly smooth, and the intake temperatures on all sensors are significantly lower. To top everything off, I even get better gas mileage.These guys know what theyre doing, theyre honest about everything, and they produce some awesome results.I dont think anyone has these guys beat when it comes to anything revolving around Subarus. If theyre not the place taking care of your subie, youre doing yourself a disservice.

First off, I want to thank prime motoring and Nav. I went here for a full rebuild of my motor for my 2005 Sti. They did an absolute great job from beginning to end. He told me the things I should upgrade and helped me through the whole process. Even if I am a bit annoying they answered the phone and always told me what was going on and how far along they were. They kept me up to date and sent me frequent emails. Nav goes above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied the entire build. I was expecting the motor to take longer to finish but they had it done ahead of time. I also want to give a thumbs up to Jrtuned, dudes an absolute beast tuner. Thanks again guys!

Great place to get any after market job done especially if you are a Subaru owner! I on the hand had a Lexus that needed a Invidia cat back exhaust installed and these guys did it with no problems. Also this shop has great prices! If i can give them 10 stars if i could!

Posting this because I am a long time customer who did a 600hp build with Prime two years ago and have used them to maintain my vehicle since. I felt the need to comment because I saw the negative review left by previous guy and wanted to let everyone know I was there this past Saturday to witness what went on and have a new found level of respect for the prime guys considering what they need to deal with on a day to day basis. This man showed up with his father who and both where heavily under the influence and with zero regard to anyone or anything trying to start trouble of what I understood was a non existent issue that prime ultimately refunded in full even though he was not in any mental state to acknowledge what they we’re doing or saying. I had gone to the restroom after him and they had trashed their restroom with used catheters and had left the entire place covered in urine and used papers. These guys at prime are nothing short of amazing not only for their work but their knowledge and customer support. I’d never go anywhere else and I salute them for dealing with people like the last guy

I had my car tuned by JR and I couldn’t be happier. My car feels great and I know the tune is safe. These guys have a wealth of knowledge and can answer or guide you in your tunning experience. There is a lot of info out there but these guys know what they are doing. You can trust they will do right by you and your car.

I have many online interactions with this company. They always have timely responses, provide in-depth knowledge, and great customer service. I purchased a handful of used aftermarket Subaru parts from them. When I ran into issues/complications, they were very responsive and helpful by answering my questions and walking me through correct install procedures. They even helped me out by sending me a complimentary piece that was missing from one of the parts I purchased from them. Nothing but high praises here. Building the fastest Subarus in the US. My personal car has went from 500hp to 1200+ hp through work performed at this shop.I met these guys in Texas at tx2k13. Shared our love for Subaru and hatched a plan to go to the top. First stop was to be the first running a 9 second quarter mile on a stock longblock. We accomplished this goal in 2015. Since that moment only one goal was left, to be #1. We have been working on this goal for the past 6 years and currently sitting at #2 fastest stick shift Subaru ever. It is only a matter of time until we reach the top and continue to push the platform even farther. From the owner of the shop to the newest team member at Prime Motoring these guys pour their heart and soul into these cars and will go the extra mile to take care of their customers.

I spent over 14 grand at this shop, but when they changed my oil.pan and other things the car started leaking oil. Phil a so called customer service representative refused even the possibility that the shop messed up, instead he escalated the situation with lie after lie. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced,after I got a partial refund and was told not to come back. DO NOT GO HERE THEY RUIN YOUR CAR AND TAKE YOUR MONEY. They are a stain of a company ran by punk kids and have 0 professionalism. Look at the response by Phil pretending to be the owner below, now they are name slandering. Just a punk kid. DO NOT GO HERE!

Ive been using this shop for a few years now and Ive never had a issue or a negative thing to say. I have had all my personal vehicles serviced and all my Subaru built and dyno tuned here as well. The staff (Nav and Phil) have been always responsive and helpful with all questions and concerns Ive had. Meanwhile the techs performed fantastic work on my cars and pointed out any issues I had or would have if certain items werent replaced or fixed. I was even able to come in on a Saturday when my radiator started leaking and the car was being sold that day. I had the buyer come with me to Prime Motoring and they were able to not only source the radiator but also have it installed same day !!! Buyer was SUPER happy and so was I that the sale went through. And to top it off pricing here is better than other shops around and you know for a fact that the work will be performed as it should. I even had a lot of my friends switch shops because of how well the work is done here. If you are looking for a GREAT shop to bring your car in I wouldnt hesitate. I have learned A LOT from this place and all of my cars are in top notch condition thanks to their help!

I just began Modifying my car and at first it was daunting because I dont really know where to start or what direction to go. All my concerns were addressed with a well informed and real answer. Jr tuned my car and its been 8k miles, running beautifully well. They installed all the parts I needed and even ordered a bunch for me to make it easy. I strongly recommend this shop if your even within a few hours driving distance, its worth it. Had an awesome experience with prime motoring. Had a prime built motor for my 06 sti which made 594 hp on e55 and 476 on 93 with a fp black turbo today which was exactly what I was hoping for. JR did an amazing job tuning. They are knowledgeable people and very professional about how they do their business. Navendra (Naven) is the man! Out of the millions of emails I’ve sent him regarding my build, he answered every single one. Demetrius did a great job explaining things during the tune session. Most importantly they stand behind the work they do. I would highly recommend looking into Prime if your thinking about getting any work done to your car.

I emailed Phil about 4 weeks ago needing a pro tune and the mods listed below. I asked Phil to order the parts and they even gave me a discount! So not only did they install the parts I got them cheaper having them order them! They were able to install AND Dyno tune THE SAME DAY! My car was running a Cobb OTS tune and you cannot compare to the pro tune. NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I will be bringing my car here for anything else in the future I decide to do. I love Prime Motoring!! Demetri and his entire team are amazing. They knocked out my entire build in under a month!! I shipped my car to them from Chi, IL. When my car was done I jumped on a plane to go pick my 13 STi. I hung out with the Prime team for the day and around closing time I got in car and drove it 830 miles home. I didnt consume a drop of oil on the drive home from NJ to IL and the car was flawless. Now 13k miles later at 569whp/577wtq the car is still amazing. I beat on it daily and the it never misses a beat. I drive it 260 miles a week just for work. If I am willing travel 800 plus miles for them to do my build/tune I think that speaks volumes about Demetri, Jr and the entire Prime team.I plan on going back to Prime in a few years when my cars paid off for rotated setup and to make over 700whp.

Great shop. I have been there twice now and they have shown themselves to be very knowledgeable about the cars and my WRX. I love this shop because it is the only one that I know of that will give you an honest recommendation on what parts to buy or not to buy. On a few instances I was told not to buy parts because it would be a waste of money, not right for the car, or it would not give me the gain I was looking for. This was shocking to me because I feel like most shops would have let me waste tons of money just to make a profit, leaving me feeling disappointed with my investment. But that is not how Prime works, I always listen to their opinions and trust their recommendations and I will definitely be going back there in the near future.

I have a 2016 wrx I got my car tuned by jr at prime last year and they did an awsome job ! Proffesional service and awsome employees that will go out of their way to help you out. I went this Friday for my flex fuel tune and walnut blast and these guys knocked it out of the park the car is an animal now I recomend these guys for anything performance or maintenance!!

Prime rocks.They did a whole JDM STI swap into my 04 wagon and did an amazing job. Even managed to fit a 13:1 rack. Nav and the rest of the guys were very helpful in guiding me on how to plan the build and deciding what parts to buy or what I didnt actually need.Communication on certain things could be better - several times theyve promised to get back to me on various things and ended up not getting to it (still never received my dyno sheet) - these guys are usually slammed with work because they are absolutely the best around (and people know it). I dont expect them to always get back to me on every small request but it can be mildly frustrating to have to ask for the same thing multiple times. That said, they almost never miss a call or email, and will always find the time to help you figure out what you want to do with your car, and how to do it right.10/10, and will be continuing to return to Prime for the next steps with my Subaru.

I went to Prime in the wake of an often dreaded check engine light seeking expert diagnosis and repair. The experience, from the beginning, was nothing short of exceptional. Sure, Naven and the guys made a prompt diagnosis and repair. But importantly, they stayed in constant communication throughout the process, explaining the potentialities, their process, the outcomes, and quelling my concerns. Their patience, customer service, and technical knowledge is truly second to none.In realizing that I was dealing with true professionals, I elected to also have them address some desires while the vehicle was onsite. Specifically, they installed an AOS and performed some needed maintenance (fluids and such). They continued to provide the same prompt and direct customer experience and honest recommendations - one of which resulted in me delaying an upgrade for which they would have made some money (but needed to be delayed).JR tuned the car. I don’t know what I was expecting but it most certainly wasn’t close to how good the vehicle feels now. The power is consistent and available, the idle is steadier, the AF learning drops causing stutter are gone, the entire thing just feels solid with the engine seemingly doing less work to perform better. The vehicle even sounds better!On pick up, Naven even spent a significant amount of time outside in the cold with me going over each detail.Look, I could rant about my experience all day. But the simple fact is this: in my 20 years or so of modifying automobiles I have found that sincere concern, commitment, and passion such as exhibited at Prime is rare. They’ve earned a customer for life. I would highly suggest those on the fence pull the trigger and work with these guys. You won’t be disappointed.

I contacted Prime after spending a month or two searching for a WRX or STI hatch to buy, but finding nothing good and being hesitant to buy something used from a random stranger.They asked me for everything I was looking for in the car, and took their time sourcing the perfect STI making sure it was just what I wanted. They then built it completely to my specs and within my budget, installing a new IAG block (covered under 2 year 24k mile warranty, which they match in labor) along with a few extras and the tune by JR.Awesome customer service, exceptional work, and overall the best experience I’ve ever had at a shop. My experience at prime motoring was a absolute NIGHTMAREIt all started when I was looking to purchase a 2005 sti, I found one for sale locally and the seller told me he had $6,000 in work done in the past 1,000 miles with receipts from prime.We settled on a price only to have him tell me that prime said he was selling the car to cheap and its the cleanest one they’ve seen. I ended up paying the extra money because I really liked the car. Once I bring in the car to prime they tell me the motor isn’t original because it was spray painted gray? Why they didn’t tell that to the previous owner I’m not sure, anyways...After a few days of owning it I decided I wanted to do fuel pump, top feed injectors and TGV deletes. I decided to go with prime since they’ve done all the work on the car in the past.I bring them the car after driving it 30 miles to there shop and they tell me I need to give them a deposit for the parts, no big deal if I was not leaving them my car. They wouldn’t take no for an answer so I ended up having to drive all the way home and back again to bring them the deposit.A day later I received a call saying the intake manifold bolts broke inside the head and its not there fault and the only possible way to fix it is to pull the motor out of the car and have it taken to a machine shop. I asked just for a rough estimate to do all that and they said it could be upwards of 4500+When I arrived at the shop Naved who I was dealing with when I first dropped off the car never came out to talk to me and when he did come out he didnt even make eye contact with me. Philip was the only one who helped and was very understanding of the situation.I then had the car towed to Rich & Mello at Precision Tuning in Spotswood,NJ. When the car arrived to his shop it was in pieces from prime. He took one look at the car and assured me not to worry, when I spoke to him the next day he said he had the bolts that were snapped inside the head out within a hour and only charged me $200. Something Prime said can’t be done!Since I picked up the car from Precision it’s been running so much better and I can’t see letting anyone else besides them touch my car. I’m so happy I found Precision tuning and I was able to learn something new, DONT GO TO PRIME.

Honestly. The claims of having to spend Big Money and poor customer service are totally off base.Demetri and crew have given me absolute top notch service. From simple gauge installs to squeezing me in at moments notice for a mystery rattle they have taken the best care of my car.This has been an incredibly difficult transition for me, I recently moved to NYC and no longer have a garage or the space to work on my car myself. Aside from a crappy shop that swindled a foolish 18 year old almost 13 years ago, Prime has been the only shop to do any work to my car and will continue to be the only shop I trust with my car.Theyre one of the few shops of true enthusiast Ive come across.Heres to seeing how deep into the 10s well be able to send my car next year.
