I made the mistake of referring my dad to Atlantic to have his new boat (27 hours) winterized and shrink wrapped. When we picked up the boat this season, the boat was running a bit rough. We assumed it was due to their winterization process or fogging the engine etc. After 6 hours of rough run time we finally brought the boat back to them to diagnose the issue. Come to find out they left a coil pack unplugged and also had to replace a few O-rings, replace a hose, reconnect a fuel hose, and reconnect a power trim harness. The engine had 27 hours on it when it was dropped off. The service department accused us of creating the issues and had the audacity to say that these issues would have been addressed if they had been paid to commission the boat. Beware of the service department as other reviewers have also warned on here.
Caught the trailer guy on his “off day”. One of the most rude experiences of my life. Tried to sell me into a yacht trailer for my little center console. Lied to me on the phone said that’s all he had but came out in conversation he had the one I wanted but wouldn’t sell me. They just lost a sale. But if you like piña colada’s and being ripped off, Atlantic Boats is the way to go!
Brought boat in for steering problem which was mid-diagnosed and was charged for service and parts. Still had same problem after picking up boat Atlantic didn’t was to take any responsibility for their screw-up
Super knowledgeable staff made an extreme effort to help me get my older boat back in the water. They were smart enough to recommend parts on hand to fix my problems without a bunch of internet searches and quizzical looks. It’s everything a boat dealer should be. Lots of stock, lots of knowledgeable help and the ability to get you back on the water quickly. Great prices too. Thanks very much.
Part selection 5Costumers service 3No all the customers looking for part are professional boat mechanic.Little help goes long way, especially in the water.
If you are looking to purchase a boat or service a boat, I would highly recommend Atlantic Boats! We have purchased two engines (years ago) and most recently a used boat from them. Will (in sales) is very knowledgable and honest. He did all the paperwork for us, kept us informed of the process, and got us out on the water this season even through the Covid closure. If you are looking to buy a boat, I would suggest checking out Atlantic Boat first because they make the process so easy from their knowledge of different types of boats, registering and financing, and getting you out on the water. They also have a great service department with competitive pricing and they do quality work. Thank you Atlantic Boats for another great experience!
I called to have them work on my engine. They are a Suzuki dealer. They said bring it down. After the service writer made me wait because her car was being dropped off, they took a 30 second look And said they will not work on an engine older than 2005. Can you imagine a mechanic telling you they wouldn’t work on your 15 year old car? I called another dealer nearby and they said even though they were really busy and the engine is older, they would gladly take a look. I took it to Ryder’s Cove Boat Yard. Like all yards, they are very busy. They found the problem in less than 10 minutes and it was a simple fix. I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but Atlantic Boat’s unprofessional demeanor and inability to service products they sell means Atlantic Boats will never get my business again. I highly recommend Ryders Cove. Very professional.
Extremely knowledgeable staff. Youll learn something every time. Great prices too
Good customer service
My fiance and I met with William yesterday to look at a boat, after discussing options and Williams own experiences with those same options, we ended up purchasing a boat along with the options we discussed.Thank you William for being a good listener, and knowing the details of the product you sell.Lifelong customers,Jeff & Linda
If youre looking for parts for the lines of Outboards that they carry then this is the only place you will probably need to go. Everyone in the parts department was very friendly and helpful. Sometimes there are long lines but it is totally worth the wait.
Will is awesome!
Good Marine store. Fair prices. Can get you just about anything you need for your boat. If they dont have the accessories you need they can usually get them for the next day. Engine parts typically take longer but thats true for most boat yards.
Less than a year ago we purchased two brand new Yamaha 9.9 outboard engines for our sailboat. Through out the sales process we worked with Will and that was quite enjoyable. This August we had an issue with getting one engine started and called for a diagnosis - the engines are still under warranty and Atlantic boats is a 10 min drive. Two gentleman came out spent 10-15 min at the boat helped fix the problem and left. Weeks later we received a bill for $175!!!! When I called to discuss this bill the service woman was rude accusatory and ended the call by hanging up on me! They charge 110 for their service reps just to leave the shop! And another $55 for labor! And $10 for an unknown unlisted fee. None of these charges were disclosed when calling prior to reps coming out. Beware of the service department here!
Very knowledgeable and helpful. Glad I stopped in.
I have used Atlantic for service and also have purchased 2 lightly used boats from them . They are a top notch facility, their service / parts & sales dept, are all very good . They cater to people that want problem free boating and that type of service comes at a premium . Overall they are a much better value then most marine shops .
Called looking for part said they would call me that was over week ago called marina marina in. SC and they responded and ordered the part right away because of good customer service
Great staff!
Great parts department very helpful staff
Atlantic Boats provides a great experiance, from the time of the purchase of your boat, to top service, and a great Marina in Onset. These folks are truly like family. As long as I am on the water these are the people that will take care of my boat. Can hardly wait to splash date.
Great place to deal with. I ordered the wrong part (my mistake) and they helped make it right without complaining at all. Thank you for the help !
Excellent customer service in the ships store. Very friendly and willing to help.To the woman who left negative reviews regarding the service dept: Most shops charge a flat rate for diagnosis to cover themselves. With so many DIYrs (like myself) out there who have no troubleshooting experience or equipment, it would be too easy to lose money running a repair business. What rock have you been living under? You just sound angry and unreasonable. To the guy who says Buyer Beware:So, you bought a used boat and motor and didnt anticipate regular maintenance and repair? LOL. What cave have you been living in?I dont work for the company and have no loyalty to them. I just find these reviews entertaining and misguided. Seems like common sense situations that have been blown way out of proportion, to me.
Very professional shop. Good service and fair pricing.
Buyer Beware!!!!! The Salesman Will was deceptive with the amount of hours on an engine. He insisted there was no reason to run a scan of the engine because he had first hand knowledge of its accuracy. Come to find out, the engine he was selling with 450 hours on it actually had over 1600 hours on it.
Sale man have no respect
My husband is a boat surveyor and he stresses that everyone should have there boat surveyed. Sometimes not even the dealer or the owner selling the boat are aware of any problems. A good surveyor looks for whats wrong with the boat, buyers have stars in there eyes causing them to miss items then feel they have to blame someone. There are also bad surveyors out there so use the ones that have continuing education requirements. Like SAMS and NAMS.
Service and prices
Had work done it was fast and awesome service, you get what you pay for great work.
Staff is great. They are always helpful.
Buyer beware. This place ripped me off. Bought my first boat from them (used) and they took advantage of me. They never disclosed the problems the motor had, gave me compression tests showing everything ran well, and when i tried to get a water test and outside opinion, they gave me the run-around and claimed all these additional charges. Also claimed it had never been in saltwater which i came to find out was a lie. Cost me thousands and a few summers until the problem was fully diagnosed and fixed. Yes, buyer beware and my fault for trusting them, but they took advantage of me and were blatantly dishonest. Best to save yourself the troubles and avoid this dealer at all costs. If only negative 5 stars was an option.
Atlantic Boats rocks! Love my new Yamaha F30. They have been taking care of me for the last 20 years and there service is awesome!
