I have not enjoyed purchasing a new vehicle from a dealership for many years. My buying experiences have lacked professionalism and a reason to trust what I was hearing. My opinion changed in May 2021 when I visited Rice Ford.Tony Blanchard was our salesperson. He has very good listening skills and eye contact. His communication skills are excellent. He never cut me off in a conversation, which made us feel quite comfortable.Tony would ask us questions to make sure we were able to purchase the features we desired. I soon recognized that his selling style was built on relationship building and service. I asked him why his approach was different. I liked his answer. He said he treats people the way that he wants to be treated. I bought a new Ford F150 Off Road Package.Have Tony explain the electronic device utilized for rust prevention. The Canadian Government has tested the device and the results were outstanding.Good job Rice Ford Team!
Service department sucks! Made appointment and not found left me hanging.. not cool. I won’t be buying trucks at this dealership..
Tony Blanchard was THE BEST! His informative non-aggressive approach was exactly what we were looking for and found! Would highly recommend Tony and the Rice Ford team to help you with your used or new vehicle needs!
We had our blower motor repaired by the service dept and after approx a month it started coming on intermediately as it was before the repair. We returned the vehicle to be looked at and was charged a diagnostic fee of $150.00. They stated the service tech used pin point testing this time and found additional issues with the blower controls. The motor runs the same as it did before the original repair by Rice. We were warned the service dept is notorious for charging the diagnostic fee on their own work if a part etc fails. I guess we trusted it would not happen to us.
After being plagued with car issues - it was time for a new car. I worked with Tony Blanchard, giving him my list of must haves and would like to have. I let him know what time I would be getting to Rice - and waiting for me was the perfect car with everything I never knew I wanted. The main concern - was getting a vehicle that would fit in my garage. I showed up with all my financial information and took the Nautilus home to make sure the final requirement was met. While I was gone - my financing was completed. Within an hour, I was done with everything necessary to have my first ever brand new car. Tony was awesome to work with and made sure I had the Lincoln App on my phone and knew all the benefits. I WILL be a repeat customer of Rice Lincoln and WILL work with Tony for all my future purchases.
Had recall on HCU valve. They did an inspection; which I failed and now I wait for the part to come in. I am a bit disappointed it couldnt be done all in one trip but, I do understand they have to weed out people who really dont need that valve. Tom in service department was very helpful. Ill keep you updated....
Geoff was excellent to work with. The deal was fair, quick and easy. Highly recommended!
The Sales manager was helpful and found what I needed at my price point.
They were a very easy place to deal with the salesmen were not pushy at all and they allow you to think without being pushed into a sale. They seemed down to earth and understood that this would be the last truck my dad buys hopefully, so they made sure it was there for when we could make it there.
We had the best experience working with this dealership. So easy and absolutely no hassle. The guys were great and very accommodating. We called about a vehicle we saw online and they answered our questions with honesty. Would definitely buy from them again! And recommend them to anyone!
Had the best experience working with the staff and our salesman Geoff Patrick. Would recommend Rice Ford and Geoff 100%. No hassle buying. Thanks to Geoff we are now the proud owners of a 2021 Ford Bronco.
Service department job well done.
This was service visit. They were able to work me in without an appointment on the same day.
This place is friendly and well run. We have bought several cars/SUVs and have had excellent service. General Manager can be crabby sometimes..just kidding.
Customer service could be better. Standard small town dealership.
Oh...my...goodness!!!! Walked onto the lot to look for a better car payment and gas mileage for a used car. Left the lot in a brand new car with a fantastic payment! The service was great! Tony went above and beyond to get us into a better vehicle and a better situation. I highly recommend them!! This was our first interaction with them and they hit it out of the park. Thank you so much Tony!
Brought my vehicle in for service in August 2020. Complained of front end noises (humming, howling sound). Service tech performed a quick test drive and told me they could not find anything wrong with it. I was treated like I knew nothing and that I was wasting their time. The noise continued (of course). Took it to another service department to find out that both of the front hub / wheel bearing assemblies need replaced. The vehicle was within warranty when visiting Rice Ford and now it is no longer within warranty, now costing me out the pocket. When called Rice Ford to see if there was anything they could do to remedy the situation, I was only given the customer complaint line for Ford. The lack of customer care, respect or even just pain common courtesy is lacking with this dealerships service department, and I highly recommend taking your vehicle for service needs ANYWHERE else.UPDATE TO OWNER REPLY :Yes, the vehicle was brought in only 1 time, thats what happens when you move areas and have to find a new dealership. I apparently made the wrong choice of choosing Rice Ford. It only took that 1 time, to regret that decision and never return. I (a customer) brought a complaint to you, of a front end noise and a possible hard transmission shift, I did not bring the vehicle in for free warranty work. You are correct I had 31 miles until my warranty expired, but does that matter to how you perform your job? (Also it can not be planned when an issue occurs to a vehicle, 500, 5 or 5,000 miles) I did not ask for a extended warranty, I asked for you to diagnose my vehicle and the issues I had a concern with. I asked for a noise to be investigated and it was not. Nothing was found with my transmission concerns, great but that was only 1/2 of my concerns. You found the recall and completed that at your volition, I never asked for any recall work to be completed nor did I set my appointment for that purpose. Congratulations on completing work that Ford compensates you for and the customer did not request. If the front end noise was investigated the wheel bearing / hub issues would have been found and corrected. Just because I brought it in with a suspicion of a issue, does not mean that was the issue. (Hence, why I brought it to certified mechanics, and did not Youtube DIY). You are correct, I wasnt charged anything, because nothing was done. I brought it in with a complaint, the complaint shouldve been looked it to at its fullest. Why didnt you do a full vehicle inspection? I brought it in for an issue, do a full inspection to resolve the customer concern, seems pretty reasonable to me to alleviate future customer complaints. Furth more, I dont care that you are able to say we didnt charge you anything for your visit, that is not what I asked for, I asked for a diagnosis of my truck and wouldve paid accordingly for that.Judging from condescending and arrogant reply to my post and other posts, for your dealership staff to perform with the best customer service or any customer service at that, the customer needs to bring their vehicle for repeat service and sales at your dealership only? If we bring it there one time, and are dissatisfied or treated with disrespect, then you try to discredit the the customer? You realize your work in the customer service industry correct?Thank you for the offer to bring my vehicle in for other problems, however I would much rather entrust that to a real customer service driven Ford dealership. We take pride in taking care of our customers... Clearly this was typed by accident.
Very polite helpful fast service
Inquire on some prices for some things i need for my excursion.
Too bad the salesman couldnt find a way to get us a car. We were able to find help at another dealership and bought a car that day.
Great service
Very friendly. Nice people answered my question.
My dad traveled from Colorado and stopped here in Indiana on his way back to Virginia. He needed an oil change, and asked me where the nearest Ford dealership was as he is a loyal Ford guy and wouldnt take his F350 to just anyone. I took him to Rice and the guy rudely told him that the soonest they could get him in for a basic oil change was 6 DAYS from today on Monday! No exceptions! Wow. So much for the accuracy of this statement provided on their website: At Rice Ford Lincoln Inc., our highly qualified technicians are here to provide exceptional service in a timely manner. From oil changes to transmission replacements, we are dedicated to maintaining top tier customer service, for both new and pre-owned car buyers! Allow our staff to demonstrate our commitment to excellence. 6 days wait on an oil change is neither timely nor representative of top tier customer service!
Quick reliable and friendly staff!
Brought car in to be fixed but it was going to take all day. They bent over backwards to get me where I needed to go and even were kind enough to give me a loaner car so I could go home for the day. They earned my praise today!
Bought my very first new car at the age of 74. A great experience and a wonderful place to do business. Love my new Ecosport!
My husband and I had been looking for a used Chevy HHR for a few weeks. We saw one listed at Rice Ford and decided to give them a try in spite of some poor reviews we saw on Google. The car was as nice as the description on their website said it was. After driving the car we made a very fair deal on the purchase. Salesman Paul Berry was polite, professional and a pleasure to do business with. We would highly recommend this dealer!
Got my Escape here. Great people to work with.1 Year later, went in for my first service and was not impressed.Hard to get an appointment and then did not get the service I wanted.Went from 5 stars to 3.
Had a great experience at Rice Ford! Tony was wonderful and very helpful.Thank you for all your help Tony!
Service department needs cleaned out. No personality and rude to deal with. Zero customer “service”
I have just purchased my 6th Ford from Rice Ford in Warsaw, IN in the past dozen years. I bought a new F150 and am delighted with it. My sales person, Jim Adams, was knowledgeable and helpful and met my every need in ordering just the truck I wanted. Bob was on top of things in the financial end. I recommended a friend there recently who bought a Lincoln. I like their service department and have had zero complaints in the years I have been using Rice Ford. Good job, fellows!!
I would have to ditto the comments from the unhelpful and rude service department. I walked in with a few questions and it was like pulling teeth to get any response from the Service Advisor Tom. (I got a business card only because I ask if I could have one and his response was to point to them in from of my daughter and said there they are.) I did finally schedule an appointment with him for the following week but canceled it about 15 minutes after leaving the building. Upon calling back, the receptionist said the service department was closed and I would either need to call back or she could leave them a message. I left a message with her to cancel and she only said thanks and hung up. I called right back and she answered again. I said would you like to know why I am canceling? Her response was well, ok. So I told her a very brief explanation only to get a response of ok and hung up the phone again. Very poor customer relations if you ask me. I would give them NO stars but you cant post without giving at least one.
Great service and got car fixed sooner then said...
Experienced horrible service at Rice Ford. Came in yesterday 2 hours prior to closing for a minor repair. Ford employee was rude in verbally and body language. We close at 5:30, dont have time for you today. Come back tomorrow and not between 12-1, lunch. So i returned today at 1:20pm, stated my issue and he simply proceed to make an appointment. WHY THE HELL DID YOU NOT OFFER THIS YESTERDAY. Wasted my time to drive to shop just to be told come back morning.
I bought a brand new Ford Fusion last week. The LCD display locked up and the radio and the screen will not turn off. I stopped at Rice Ford’s service department to get help resetting it. When I pulled up an employee was outside smoking. I don’t have an issue with that. I will explain. When I went in the smoker returned to the service desk. I explained to him my issue and he asked if I had an appointment. I didn’t. He told me he COULDN’T help me for 3 weeks. I asked what I should do in the meantime while my battery keeps draining. He said that I should unhook the battery for 5 mins and that should fix it. I asked if there was anyone who could take 5 mins to help me. He said not without an appointment. He didn’t have 5 mins to help a customer but he has time for a smoke break. I went to the lobby or sales floor to discuss it with a manager and I couldn’t find anyone. Meanwhile my radio is still on and could result in a dead battery on a car with 600 miles on it. Terrible service department.
Talking to the regular salesmen and women are pleasant. Going to parts and service is a waste of time usually. Employees are rude and dont seem to care at all with their role or job.
DO NOT BUY HERE!!! The General Manager was very rude to me. Horrible experience. Bought a $50,000 mustang here soon after I got it in 2014, I had issues with the USB port it fell into the middle console when I tried to plug it in. I took it in for repair in 2014, they said they fixed it, it was covered under my bumper to bumper. Got it back plugged in my USB, it worked so I didnt think much of it, left USB plugged in didnt really touch it until this year (2019). Same thing happened. Took it in again in June 2019 they said they re-attached it but the bezel is cracked so it will probably fall out again, (no longer under bumper to bumper) said it will cost me $300.00 to fix. I asked them if it was that way the first time I brought it in and they just didnt fix it but re-attached it like they did this time. They said they couldnt tell me but did say all that was done was re-attach the first time, they didnt fix anything. I talked to the General Manager, VERY RUDE!!! He kept interrupting me and wouldnt even let me explain the situation. After I finally got it explained he said he would check the initial service and get back to me. A week later he still hadnt responded, so I called back and talked to him again, same thing VERY RUDE kept interrupting me. Finally he said, I cant help you and hung up on me. HORRIBLE.
Tried to get reimbursed for a recall that was repaired elsewhere. Ford told me to contact a nearby dealer to get reimbursed because it’s be faster. The dealer told me to contact Ford. Seemed as if they didn’t want to deal with it and sent me to Ford company.
This place is the best place to take your mustang they got my car running like a champ
From my experience helpful staff clean building very busy establishment. Ford products very expensive.
Rice ford is the absolute worst ford dealer around. I bought an Edge from them in 2010 and I had multiple issues with them updating my sync system. I ended up having to take it to rice Toyota (next door) to use their internet to update because the guys at rice ford said it couldnt be done.Multiple times i had one of the guys in the service area be rude to me.I now own a 2014 Explorer which I bought from Oliver Ford.In March of 2016 i got to work, in Warsaw with a flat tire. I took it to Rice around 9 AM to get fixed and I was told that they wouldnt be able to get to it until later afternoon and they just made excuses saying they were completely booked for the day and they had multiple guys off and leaving early. I am a Ford customer with a warranty and it would take what... 30 minutes to plug a tire? Speaking of warranty the service guy proceeded to tell me that my warranty wouldnt be covered at rice because I didnt buy it there. Really? If I blew a tire in Florida my warranty would be covered at a Ford dealer. So, since they wouldnt even look at my car I took it to Monteith Tire in Warsaw and they got to it right away and had it fixed before 11 AM. I will never again buy another vehicle from Rice ford or take any of my vehicles there for service. NEVER AGAIN!UPDATED 5/13/16My uncle tried to trade in a vehicle there and they would not take his business because of the review I left. Yet another reason why our family will not do anymore business with them.
Great service great staff great prices.
After one of my headlights stopped working, I took my car in to have it replaced. Less than a month later, I found out that the plastic casing that held the light in place cracked and fell out of place. When I took it back in, they said that the broken piece wasnt their fault and that Id have to pay them an extra 500$ to fix and replace the piece on top of the 90$ I paid to have the replace the lightbulb. Do not go here if you can avoid it. They wont own up to their mistakes.
Took my mustang in for a recall, scratched my dash up to point of no repair.
Friendly staff very willing to help with your vehicle needs.
We love our new ford explorer that we leased from them. Even through the short time to get it all taken care of.
They treat me well, are very friendly and Hometown. When they made a mistake did they did not make me pay for it.
Worst service department ever. They tried to charge me double, but when I told them no. They ended up charging me $61 for the estimate. Do not go here. Tried to charge me $1200 and I left and went to smith tire and got it done for $150. Huge scam they got going on there.
The Service department is friendly and helpful. I trust them with my Ford Escape.
Very helpful and I was impressed with the repairs
Great service
Awesome prices with great selection
Great place to do business..
Was working on a car to buy. Told salesman i was on my way only to have it being test driven and sold while i was there. Not happy.
Took our 2014 Ford escape that we bought July 3 2017 and had trouble with the wipers slamming ... Took it to rice Ford
I really dont think service manager knows a engine from a tire
Agree with comments below. Service people are so rude, unfriendly, and don’t seem to care. Will not go again!
