The gentleman who handled my order was friendly and knowledgeable, and the installation tech was just great. Everything went off without a hitch and I am very happy with the experience. Edited to reduce to one star from two stars because of the inadequate and defensive response below from the company after the owner attempted to call me on a Friday evening over two months after I complained to the salesperson about the issues with my install. I guarantee that if I hadnt written this review he would never have followed up. To respond to his inaccurate comments, I was only consulted on the hood placement at the bottom because I made a big deal out of it, not on how high up the extra insert for the hood would go, something I hadnt even thought about until after they left. He likely didnt bother to consult me because he didnt have a ladder or any other way of getting it higher. As I told the salesperson, no thanks to sending the same unmasked, unprepared person to adjust the hood height high enough to actually use more than three inches of the additional insert I paid extra for. Also, its standard practice for all deliveries and service people to call or text when on the way. I shouldnt have to request this as something special.Original review:Three and a half stars for the sales staff, one star for the installers. They strongly recommended I pay extra for someone to come and look at my existing hood before ordering a new hood. The earliest available time to do this was three weeks out. The guy spent two minutes looking at stuff I could have sent pictures of and literally told me that any hood I wanted was fine but that he had to be the one to install it.I placed my order and then waited another three-ish weeks for delivery/install. Install day came and there was no communication in advance of arrival. They showed up within the window given but I would have appreciated a were on our way text or call. They came into my apartment building and arrived at my door without masks, despite the mayors order requiring them in common areas of apartment buildings and the sign on the front door. They reluctantly put them on to enter my apartment when I asked.The actual install went fine for the fridge and range, but despite having come a few weeks before to do an inspection for my hood and knowing that my ceilings are 12 feet tall so I ordered a hood extension, they did not bring a ladder. When installing the hood he did not consult me on how high to put the extension and instead put it at the lowest point possible (which he could only reach using my small step ladder) rather than extending it up higher for a nicer look. He also left fingerprints all over the top of the hood so my beautiful new hood is super ugly looking. I cant reach that high to clean it, so I have to wait until the next time I have a repair person come in with a ladder.When I emailed the sales person for a receipt that I could use for the energy rebate (which he hadnt told me about and I thankfully learned about on my own), I shared this information. He offered to have the same guy come back again to fix the hood height. No thank you. I have no interest in having him come back to my apartment maskless with a bad attitude to just leave another mess (literal and figurative) for me to clean up.Next time I need to buy appliances I will most definitely go elsewhere. I encourage you to do the same.

Don’t waste your time even visiting this place. If this is how they treat prospective customers, I don’t even want to think about how they treat you once they have your money. Totally rude and unfriendly environment where we felt like we were annoying the staff by entering the store. We got ten times better service at the Home Depot which is sad because we really wanted to support a small business.

I recently purchased a refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher from M&M for my home which was being sold. Germaine was absolutely wonderful in helping me find appliances that were in the warehouse so that I did not have to wait as many items were backordered due to Covid delays. Unfortunately, my refrigerator was delivered without the hardware for the handles. Even though it took a little over two months to get the hardware (after I sold the house, too), Germaine did his level best to ensure the problem would be resolved. I truly appreciate all of his help.

We just had a really terrible experience with M&M Appliance. The washer and dryer that we purchased recently are malfunctioning badly. When I called M&M, they told me that I had to go through LG for warranty work. They gave me the name and number of the contact person in our area that does LG warranty repair. When that person finally called me back (a week after I initially called and only after I made a second call), he told me that he is NOT a warranty repair person for LG and was confused about why M&M was giving his name out to customers. I then called LG and they were on the phone with me for 45 minutes diagnosing the problem and then told me that they would make an appointment for a repair person to come to our house. I asked for information about the person coming to the house, and they said they could not give me any information about the person or the company -- such as where they are located. I then asked whether they could dispatch my service to an LG service company located near my house (that gets good reviews on the web), and they declined to make the referral and wouldnt tell me why. While I was speaking to the LG rep, the washing machine began to seriously malfunction in front of me (almost flooded the basement). After all of this, I called M&M to tell them that I had no confidence in the LG repair service or the machines and I wanted to return the machines. The sales person (Todd) told me that once a machine is installed, M&M has nothing more to do with it (unless the problem is an installation problem). They will not accept a return of the machines and will not do anything to help me negotiate with LG. We usually buy our appliances from Bray & Scarff which has always had impeccable service. I only tried M&M because I read a strong recommendation for these particular LG machines from the NYTimes and Bray & Scarff doesnt carry them. What a mistake. The worst part of all of this is that M&M seems to take no responsibility for the products they are selling. Do yourselves a favor and buy your appliances from Bray & Scarff. I will never stray again.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. I am very disappointed with M and M, a company that I was so happy with in the past that I referred them to my friends and family. When I contacted them I already knew the issue with my microwave was that the two door hinge/springs were broken. The secretary/receptionist looked up the parts and told me to order them and come out to my house to replace then it would cost $350. I knew this would be expensive so I agreed to pay that amount. I gave her my credit card I was charged $350 over the phone for the two hinges and what I thought was the fee to come out and replace them. Instead, after the repair was completed, without notifying me that additional charges were due, another $200 was charged to my credit card for the labor. I was sent a new invoice reflecting the $550 charge and a receipt reflecting that it was paid in full. I ended up paying $550 to replace to hinges! I emailed back asking for a manager to contact me. The secretary//receptionist emailed me an explanation of the charges and said she would have the manager contact me. I never heard back from her so I emailed again. I received a call back from the manager who listened to my complaint but refused to do anything about the charges. I will not use this company again and I will make sure to tell friends and family about this experience. Dont waste your money!!!

My experience of buying a washer and dryer from M & M Appliance was a great experience. I had visited and read the less than stellar reviews of Home Depot and looked for a better option. The reviews for M & M were excellent and I could not agree more. The website was informative and I began an on-line chat with Todd. Todd was knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The customer service was exceptional from start to finish and top-notch. The delivery and installation was flawless. I was so impressed I am writing my first review. You cant go wrong with M & M Appliance.

I went with M&M because I live in DC, wanted to support a small businesses and I seriously regret it. I dont know about the whole operation but My experience with their service department has been nothing short of maddening.Now thanks to that it has been 2 months since we have been without a working washing machine. They do not communicate effectively, Ive had to call to get updates on parts they are waiting for, several times getting opposite statements and they really do not care about their customers and how it is affecting you.So save your money, your sanity and avoid this place. I wish I did that from the get go, now I am at Lowes...My mistake was not checking their reviews; it is not surprising most of their recents ones are also horrible; fits the pattern! Poor service...

I had a great experience replacing my old laundry center with a new compact washer and dryer. The staff was knowledgeable and worked with me to get the appliances installed quickly. Furthermore, the first washing machine they installed was defective from the factory (these things happen), and they came out the next day on Saturday morning to replace it. If you need new appliances and want to support a local business, look no further. Ask for Clayton.

Awesome brand selection and service. I bought a set of Miele washer and dryer unit from M&M Appliance to be installed to my apartment. Chris helped me with the selection and quote, over phones and emails during COVID-19 lock-down. He answered all my questions and was quick to give me various options.The washer and dryer were procured and delivered on time and without any issues. The installation crew were very professional and proficient. They even thought me how to use it and what to watch out for next time when I move. After the installation, the crew ensured all surroundings were restored to original condition, zero scratches on the walls or the units. Basically, a perfect buying experience.

Unfortunately this was right during the Covid-19 pandemic and everyone was working diligently to get their jobs done with the new restrictions. M&M was able to meet our builders deadline and work through any issues they faced due to Covid-19. A very frustrating experience trying to purchase a suite of appliances here on the recommendation of my contractor. The sales rep I tried to work with was essentially non-responsive. I know there are many delays and backlogs now due to COVID but it was nearly impossible to get any information or to find suitable alternatives. I found a very responsive sales rep at Lowes who helped me locate the appliances I wanted or to find reasonable alternatives. Disappointed I wasted time trying to work with this company.

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCEBefore selling my house I needed to replace a dishwasher, oven and hood. Rather than going with a Home Depot or Lowes I wanted to go with a smaller store which I thought would provide better service. Unfortunately this was not the case and I paid a hefty price in terms of wasted time, imperfect appliances and terrible service.We purchased the appliances on the condition that they would be delivered and installed within 12 days which is when the house was to be photographed. Two days before the house was to be photographed I was told that only the oven would be delivered but no dishwasher and no matching hood for the oven. When I asked why the sales rep said that the dishwasher and hood were on back-order. He could not give me any estimate of when they would even be delivered to the store. So why did the sales rep not mention this when the appliances were first ordered?I then went with plan B which was to select used floor models in the store showroom so that they would at least be delivered and installed soon. Because they were floor samples they had imperfections but I had no choice. On the day of the delivery of the dishwasher and hood I was informed that only the hood would be delivered as somebody forgot to load the dishwasher in the truck and that they could not go back to the store to pick it up.I probably made at least 20-30 phone calls and the sales rep refused to provide me with the contact information of the manager or owner. Throughout the entire process the sale rep didn’t seem to care at all that the products were never ordered or delivered and it was always “somebody else’s” fault. Taking 3 days off of work to be home for multiple deliveries and to receive imperfect items not delivered on time was a terrible customer experience. I would take your business elsewhere to avoid a disaster like I had. I will be sending this complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well.

The reviews seem pretty consistent. Great place to deal with. I find the Alexandria sales staff especially good although I get delivery to DC. I have use M&M numerous times for rental properties and have referred family and friends to use them at home. Everyone has been very satisfied. Just try getting this kind of personal service from a big box store and their nightmare (lack of) customer service. There is simply no comparison, the deliver staff backs up the sales staff and it makes all the difference in the world.

Never going to a big box store for appliances again!! M&M appliance was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Several of the stoves are actually hooked up and employees use them, so they really know how to make recommendations. They also have smaller sizes that are unavailable at Home Depot/Lowes.BEST OF ALL: They arent more expensive!!! I thought for sure a small mom and pop shop would cost an arm and leg, but they found ways to SAVE me money.There was no up-sell. I initially wanted to spend a few hundred dollars more for a 42 decibel dishwasher and the sales person recommended a save my money because its almost impossible to tell the difference between the 44 decibel and the 42. He was right. My 44 decibel dishwasher is SO quiet a light illuminates to tell me its running because I cant hear it.NEXT BEST: The install was a breeze. Folks knew what they were doing. They arrived on time. They were speedy. I have had so many friends go weeks-months without appliances waiting for Home Depot to get their act together. Either the appliance is broken, or the the person who delivered the appliance doesnt know how to install the new appliance. There was zero headache with M&M.Honestly, I cant say enough good things. I recommend M&M to all my friends.

Great local store! Clayton helped me buy a suite of appliances for a kitchen remodel. Used their website extensively to search since I needed very specific dimensions to fit the space. Fair price and delivered to my 2nd floor walk up condo without damage. When my contractor botched the installation of the washer/dryer, M&M came out and promptly diagnosed and fixed it. Highly recommended over big box stores especially for compact urban-living sized appliances.

After several failed attempts (with another vendor), we called in the experts at M&M. Eric was amazing; came out to our house, measured our space, gave us options, and helped us make a good decision. Best products, best staff and outstanding prices. You can buy appliances in many places. You cannot find staff that really know the ins and outs of each and every brand. They also have access to the Euro products that are incredible but not generally available.Then there are talented people to set up delivery, work with you when there is an issue. Install team is fantastic. They really pay attention to proper install and make sure the product is working before they leave. No rushing, real care.

Customer service and repair followup is poor. Once a tech is scheduled and arrives though - all is well. Seems to be a central office management issue.Was told by Viking that M&M was a poor service provider. After 20 years of faithful service, my refrigerator gave up the ghost. So my needs were for quality, price, and immediate delivery. After a depressing search through the big box stores I found M&M and experienced the finest buying experience of my life. From beginning to end - from sales to installation and cleanup - every step was five star. Curt matched the big box price, arranged for immediate delivery and installation, and oversaw the entire process to make sure that I was satisfied every step of the way. **UPDATE**I received the part numbers I requested. It took more effort then I would have liked but M&M did respond to my concern, for that they deserve credit. My expectations have been met.Initial Post:Im pretty dissatisfied with the service I received from M&M. I hired them to provide a diagnosis of my stove. the diagnosis was in the form of an informal phone call with a technician stating that I needed to buy new parts. Later I received a call from a sales rep who informed me of the cost for M&M to order the parts and do the work. When I asked for the part numbers, a description of the work and receipt, I was sent a “back of the envelope” description of the work and was told that they can not provide a part number. Im dissatisfied because the diagnosis cost me $106 (other companies on Thumbtack quoted diagnostics in the $40 -$60 range). I was expecting a premium quality service and received chicken scratch. Plus, I am left clueless on whether the prices M&M quoted me for the parts are legit or not.Lastly, the customer service reps do not appear to care about my issue. Their response has been “Well…our vendors don’t give us part numbers”. Really? Then how does the vendor even know that the part they’re sending you is correct? If M&M returns a part, how does the vendor catalog it to determine where it is stored? In general, how can you run a business with huge inventory and not relay part numbers to clients? The whole situation is ridiculous and I feel like I’ve been scammed for $106. This is my first time ordering a service from M&M so this could be a one-off situation, but as it stands, I do not recommend purchasing M&M appliances services.

We ordered a range hood that we were told was going to be delivered in a week. When the delivery day arrived, we called the store for an update on when we could pick it up. My husband called through the day about 3-4 times to speak to the sales rep. After leaving a message for a call back with someone else in the store, we waited with still no response. By the end of the day we were finally able to reach the rep who then states he never received any messages or saw any missed calls from us and is hearing from us for the first time that day. Apparently, the hood was back-ordered for another few weeks and the rep couldnt be bothered to give us a call with that update earlier in the week or even that day.We are currently renovating our kitchen and the timing of when the hood would be received was very important. We feel this lack of communication is rather disrespectful to the customer. After calling the following Monday, we are told the hood is suddenly back in stock and will be delivered the following Friday. Not sure how reliable the information/status is but I am not impressed by the customer service we have received.

Great that senior management is active in the company and focused on resolving customer issues. Wish that it was not necessary, but happy to report that my issues were satisfactorily resolved.I very much wanted to support a local appliance store, but after my purchase I cant even get a call back regarding issues with my new fridge. I was told that because I bought a floor model everything was as-is, which I understand, but all I wanted was someone to help me order the damaged door handle (which was NOT on the fridge in the store) and give me some guidance on how to stop the very loud noise from the fan motor. I get it, I bought a floor model, but I am not looking for a hand out...just some customer service. After 3 calls (and 3 business days) where I was promised a call back, I am still waiting...

After a couple of negative experiences with box box chain stores, I found M & M appliances on the web and thought perhaps an individually owned store would yield more humane service and it sure did, winning my family and me as customers for future service: the sales guy, Clayton Lugo, double checked to see if the microwave Id chosen was readily available in the city, carefully scheduled the delivery around some surgery I had to undergo, had me called the day before delivery to let me know that the item had arrived and was ready. Then the service guy did a beautiful and clean installation and removed the old unit. Kudos to this fine small business/

The store has a lot of appliances to choose from and the sale reps are pretty knowledgeable about brands and/ or items. Now when it comes to delivery and installation, the service is very different and contrasts sadly with the great store. We have to wait 3 (!!) weeks to get our stove delivered and installed. So be aware that if you are in a rush and need your appliance right now, this may not be the best store for you.

I bought a wall oven at M&M Appliances and its been an ordeal. So I will spell out what happened. This is long so I will have to divide it into two parts.11/17/2019 (Sun) - We went to M&M Appliances. We were greeted by Mr.Noah Bennerson. I explained to him what I was looking for. My choices had been narrowed down to Kitchen Aid (KOSE500ESS), Bosch (HBL8451UC), and GE Cafe (CTS90FP2MS1). My main concern was the brightness of the display, the depth of the french door in case of GE Cafe, and how bright the blue interior was of Kitchen Aid. After checking my concerns, I decided to go with Kitchen Aid. Mainly because of its ranking in the Consumer Report and bad reviews of Bosch customer service I had just read (my Bosch dish washer door broke and it falls down freely and need a repair)Mr. Bennerson wrote me the sales order--- Oven ($1,799), haulaway ($20), delivery ($89), installation ($125) and field measure ($89 minus $44). I had a concern about field measure, totaling $2,185.94. I had a concern about the field measurement. I showed him the cut out size of the existing oven from the manual (GE PT9200SLSS) and we compared it to the cut out size of Kitchen Aid. The only difference between the two was the cutout height --- GE 275/16 vs Kitchen Aid 28. Although the difference seemed negligible, Mr Bennerson strongly suggested that Id buy the service because if it didnt fit. Id have to pay for the restocking fee. So we scheduled the field measurement date (12/3) and delivery (12/5). Mr. Bennerson said he would call me on Monday (11/18) to confirm me of the field measurement/delivery dates after speaking to the delivery man. He confirmed that they didnt have KOSE500ESS in stock at that time, but new shipment with five of them were arriving the following week.11/18/2019 (Mon) --- No call from Mr. Bennerson but I wasnt bothered because it was extremely rare a retail sales person would follow through with the promise of call back.12/03/2019 (Tue) --- after a confirmation call on Monday, Mr. Joe Kuhnke came in the morning and did the field measurement. However, he just measured the width of the existing oven externally. He didnt take out the oven to measure the existing cut out size. I asked him whatd happen if the measurement didnt match because one of the dimensions of the cut out size was different in the manual. He assured me that he had enough experience and knew how to work on it. If anything went wrong, M&M Appliances was just a few blocks away and he could get any necessary material. After he left, I couldnt help thinking did I pay $45 for that?12/05/2019 (Thu) --- I got a confirmation call in the afternoon of 12/04 and was informed that delivery would be made the following day between 9 am and 4 pm. I took a day off to wait for the delivery. Nothing happened, so I called M&M Appliances to ask for the status around 4:00 PM. I was told that a wrong oven (a double oven) had been delivered and there would be no delivery that day. So why no one called me? The lady on the phone said that the sales agent (Mr. Bennerson) wasnt at the store and he was informed about it and he would contact me as soon as possible.12/06/2019 (Fri) --- Later in the afternoon after 5:00 PM, I got a call from Mr. Bennerson. He explained that he had ordered a wrong oven (Kitchen Aid KODE500SEE). That wouldnt have been a big issue if (1) the new delivery could be immediately scheduled, (2) he didnt lie that he had spoken with me on 11/28 and (3) he didnt remember seeing the cut out pictures from the installation manual and comparing them. Rather irritated, I asked him what he could do about it. He said he wouldnt charge the second delivery fee --- WTF? there was no delivery to begin with, so why would they claim that they could kindly waiver the second delivery charge? Why did he have to order a new oven if the shipment was coming --- So the new shipment of five new ovens coming the next week was a lie? Besides, Mr. Bennerson was totally flippant (Everybody makes mistakes) and was not apologetic at all.

After a failed attempt to purchase appliances from Lowes (they lost my delivery?), a friend recommended this local place as an alternative. We went by and browsed through their showroom and I found a stove and microwave that randomly and perfectly matched my existing refrigerator! The salesman who helped me out was great and found me an even less expensive version of one of the models that they had in their warehouse. Delivery was in the time window theyd confirmed with me, and installation was perfect and done at a very reasonable cost (Lowes would have charged way more). I definitely should have started here. Recommending M&M to everyone I know now - I feel like I figured out a great local secret.

Im using another gmail address to finish what I started.12/06/2019 --- When Mr. Bennerson called, I asked him how soon he could arrange a delivery. He said that hed have to order the oven and it wouldnt be before the following Friday (12/13/2019). I had a conference schedule on that Friday, so I knew that the delivery would have to be after December 16th.12/09/2019 (Mon) --- I got a call from Mike, the owner of M&M Appliance. He sounded sincere and wanted to do right by me. He said that the Kitchen Aid oven was in stock and he could deliver it either Tuesday or Wednesday (if they had it in stock, why did Mr. Bennerson tell me that he had to order a new one and the delivery would be after 12/13?). I agreed to Wednesday delivery provided that it would be made the first thing in the morning (I had a meeting scheduled from 11:00 AM. He also agreed to refund the field measurement fee and waive the delivery charge.12/11/2019 (Wed) --- Delivery arrived just before 8:30 AM and finished before 9:30 AM. So I was able to get to work on time for the meeting.12/12/2019 (Thu) --- a refund of $154 was made to my credit card.Oven is working fine --- I havent used it much and am still getting used to the functions. So far so good.A couple of disconcerting things transpired from my conversation with Mike on 12/09/2019. First, unbeknownst to me, I had been charged the difference between the single oven ($1,799) and the double oven ($3.336) when Mr. Bennerson incorrectly ordered the double oven. Of course the charge was cancelled but no one calls me to tell me what they are doing when a store charges my credit card over $1,000?Second, my credit card was compromised and I had to get a replacement card. I dont know what really happened --- however, the last place I used the card was at M&M Appliance before my credit card was used by someone else on 11/22. Mike emphatically denies that the breach took place at M&M because he has spent a lot of money for the internet security. Nonetheless, I just could not shake off the suspicion --- just because it was the last place I had used the card before it had been stolen.I revised this review and gave the store three star (previously I gave one star right after I had wasted a precious annual leave day for nothing). I wish I could give a better review. Here are my assessment:Pros of shopping at M&M Appliance are:1. They have a wide range of higher end appliances --- - MIele, Viking, Dacor, Thermador, to name a few. You wont get those at Big Box stores.2. Store is local and the owner will try to make up for any mistakes. Mikes sincere effort to make up for the errors is appreciated.3. They dont contract out delivery and service --- so you are dealing with one stop shop --- unlike Home Depot or Lowes where delivery, repair, field measurement are contracted out to local suppliers and you have to deal with them individually.Cons:1. One sales rep who is dealing with you handles everything. If he or she screws up, you are left at his/her mercy --- Mr. Noah Bennenson didnt learn about his mistake until the day after and no body was there to contact me. It seems like each sales rep is working in a silo and does not communicate with others --- this could happen at any Big Box stores but you could at least talk to the store managers.I felt a little sorry for the owner, Mike, as just one sale reps error and flippant attitude could leave unpleasant after-taste in the mouth. To me, a wasted leave day and idle waiting time can never be recovered. This tells me the importance of staff training and employee human capital should I start my own business.

We started off on the wrong foot. I wanted to buy several appliances but had terrible communication problems with the sales staff and was totally put off. I wrote several angry emails. Michael, the owner, stepped in and sorted everything out. He genuinely wanted to deliver excellent customer service and he did. M & M is also able to match most prices on appliances anywhere else but with much better after care and installation services. I do not hesitate to recommend this company.

After trying to buy a washer/dryer at Sears, and having it be one of the worst customer service experiences of my life, I opted to go for a locally owned company, thinking I would probably have to pay more, but that it would be worth it. Not only did I pay about the same as I would have Sears, it was a 180 degree in the service that was provided. I was very pleased with both the sales representative to the delivery team and would 100% recommend their services to others.

Rating Update: Though it has still taken over 60 days to fix my refrigerator, Mike, M&Ms owner, took the time to track me down from my excoriating review of his back office service department. Previously he had not been aware of the issues surrounding my service debacle. He called me personally to apologize for the poor service, and was genuine in his offer to make it right for me.Hopefully, he can work things out with his service department to make them more efficient, accurate, and interactive with the customer when things dont go as planned.We expect to continue our purchase and service relationship with M&M, because of how hard he worked to track me down and make his customer happy.I will provide one last update after my refrigerator is finally fully operational.

Found M&M after seeing such bad reviews for the big chains in DC in search of replacing our broken dishwasher. So glad we decided to come to M&M instead, we were immediately greeted by AJ Hardy, who was very knowledgeable, professional, and personable.We found what we needed and were in and out of the store, with delivery and installation scheduled, within 30 minutes. AJ gave us the direct number if any problems arise on the day of delivery. Prices very competitive with Home Depot and Lowe’s - our whole Saturday was better after having such a seamless morning. M&M charged us $500, and they still havent fixed our dryer. Instead of standing by the repair work they performed, their solution was to charge us for more work. There is no customer service, no ownership of the work performed, and no accountability. It felt like a scam in which every scenario justified paying them more. It gives me no pleasure to write vindictive reviews and I never have before, but this felt like a scam plain and simple.***Update: Based on the response, from Mr. Greenwald I went back and checked our invoice, and my wife was the customer of record. We stand by this review.

The technicians were very polite and efficient. They did the install relatively quickly. They had good communication skills. I believe in their experience and knowledge. I told them that the dishwasher I bought has been reported to cause fires if the installation is done by people that arent familiar with this dishwasher and run the hoses and electricity wrong. I believe they were able to correctly install the unit to mitigate risk of fire.There was a hiccup with the scheduling, but I received a call from the company owner to rectify the situation and they were able to make me completely happy and work around the hiccup. The technicians were able to accommodate my time constraint. They arrived ahead of previously scheduled time and completed the install quickly. I was able to still make my scheduled appointment that afternoon.

I was so very excited when I found a distributor for a range I was looking at. I live in Northern Virginia, and the nearest distributor was in Annapolis Md before I discovered M & M Appliance. I was looking at purchasing a dual fuel Ilve range, mostly because I had a peculiar size to fill in my kitchen from my previous range. I needed a range that was 40 inches and I wanted to go from electric to gas, and it could be purchased for LP hook up. After almost a year of debating on spending the money on this range, we decided to bite the bullet and purchase the range. I thought we would have to wait to get it because it is an Italian company not sure where they are made. I called Ilve and they said M & M Appliance was a distributor. So I made the phone call, I spoke with Eric, super nice, found a range exactly what we wanted and it was in NY so he had to get it which took a bit. I didnt negotiate price at all, so paid over $6000 and made arrangements to get it delivered. Well that starts the craziness! The people deliver the range. No legs on it, nothing put together and I guess my husband and I are suppose to figure it out, like what all the knobs are for, put the legs on, put the stove together! They literally took it out of a crate and brought it into the house. I called Eric, he had them put the legs on and they left. I emailed Eric several times, asking how I was suppose to put it together, or how the stove functions all the bells and whistles. He said he would have Joe call me and gave me Joes number. I called Joe, left a message, never heard back. I emailed Eric and he said he would have Joe call me, nope Joe never called. My husband called Joe, and he said he would let him know when he would come. NOPE, nothing. We started all of this on May 8th, paid shortly after that and delivery was June 5th. Now please keep in mind, we havent had a range since before the delivery. Okay now we are July 9th, and still no help from anyone. Not sure if it is so busy and our business doesnt matter. Eric was quick to sell me the range, but the follow through is terrible. So please be sure to ask what the delivery entails. Maybe we are too far from the store; we live 28 miles away; Dumfries area. I am not sure what you need to pay to get a appliance set up and ready to go. I have purchased many appliances in my life, matter in fact I just purchased a refrigerator from a local appliance store; (if they could have sold me the Ilve I would have bought from them) I didnt have to ask to have it put together and water attached, they just did it. So good luck with your after purchase service!I have to add to my review and change the rating, I will tell you after posting this review, the owner called me, not recognizing the number I let it go to VM, he left me a very professional and comforting message, and asked me to call back. I didnt listen to the message until late that evening, was going to call him back the next day, but before I had a chance he called me and he was nothing but kind. I appreciate the fact that he listened to my frustrations. I used my oven for the first time last night. I had to do the break in and if you read reviews about the Ilve ranges, the instructions are a little hard to follow, as it is an Italian company and the language differences may have something to do with that. I do have questions that I havent found the answer to, and I will definitely reach out to Michael when I have a chance, once I use the range a few times. It has been so long since I had a range that I forgot how much fun cooking was. I made an entire meal last night and my husband loved it, have been grilling everything because of not having the stove. I loved cooking on the burners, and cleanup was a breeze.So thank you Michael for the great phone call, and I look forward to the extra rack for the small oven, and I will call you in the future for some information, and will contact you personally when ready to make another appliance purchase.

I never write reviews but this was too terrible not to. I do not recommend them coming to fix appliances. Terrible customer service. They came to fix my refrigerator under warranty. It took 3 weeks to get on the schedule.. they came and told its not working we have to come back again, took another two weeks to be put on the schedule.. came and fixed it and it now has a new similar issue 2 days later. I called and they said I had to set up a new service request with the refrigidaire. Refrigidaire was great. I set up a new request and they said they couldnt come out for another 3 weeks. They had a terrible attitude the whole time. I wouldnt use them again.

Ridiculously bad, half-assed workmanship. They were supposed to deliver and install a fridge with ice maker. Ice never worked. two service visits and weeks later, they replaced the ice maker, still no ice. Waiting around for hours for a third call that may or may not happen at the very end of the window - 9am-3pm. Probably will end up sending the whole thing back. DEFINITELY never doing business with these folks again. Unresponsive, terrible workmanship, nonexistent customer service.

These guys are worthless. My refrigerator was not defrosting so I called them. The tech they sent came out, and without using any tools or even opening the appliance, determined by sight only that my refrigerator needed a new defroster board. He left without touching the refrigerator and charged $104, advising that someone would call with an estimate. They called, and quoted an additional $450 to fix. I got a second opinion, and my refrigerator is now working perfectly after replacing the $35 heater harness. Save your money. Call someone else.
