I did not end up purchasing a car here but the service was stellar and it was nice to get some transparency out of a car dealer for a change. Thanks to both Ashley and Dan for keeping me informed and doing what they could to make the process easy on me.
My old Subaru was recently totalled in an accident. And I needed a new car fast. Budd Baer had the Crosstrek I needed to replace my old one. The buying experience was smooth and fast.
Great customer service, easy to navigate website, and very friendly staff. I worked with Chrissy and she was wonderful. Despite being a few team members down at the time of my visit, everyone worked hard and were very kind. The new car and trade in was a good deal, too. Will return again when its time for the next car.

I went with older friend, Ms. Bond as she uses your auto butler. Ive gone with her probably 4 times. We usually go to the Washington Crown Ctr to shop a little while waiting thru the shuttle service. There isnt much there, so usually Marshalls and maybe eat so Id say maybe 2 hrs. Today appt at 10:30, we were there, front of line. 1-1/2 hr later we called to be picked up as my friends back hurting a lot. Told Beth dropped off at Marshalls so wed be there. Went to wait, no benches. Called twice more to find out shuttle (different vehicle/person) at different area of mall. We do appreciate the shuttle service that gives us something to do while waiting, and the men who do it, but someone didnt listen to our directions today. Then, we get back to Budd Baer to find out her vehicle not done, an hour to go. Never has it taken that long. Ms. Bond very disappointed in Budd Baer.

I was looking for a great deal on a 2020 WRX STI so I contacted multiple dealerships, and Budd Baer knocked all of the other dealer offers out of the park. Budd Baer was almost a 3 hour trip for me, but it was well worth the drive. I was expecting to get the typical snotty, all in your face dealership experience when arriving there especially since I am a younger customer, but man was I wrong. When I got there they knew who I was, greeted me, had the car detailed and ready to go, the numbers were exactly what we discussed, no BS and right out the door with my new ride. Very well done. I would definitely do business with them again. Shout out to Steven and his team. I am loving the car so far!

I had an emergency of sorts with a recall item and called Bud Beare services dept. The service stated that they could not get me in for at least two weeks. I restated my issue and was put on hold for a few minutes, he returned and said if I could get my suv there they would try to fit me and they did. The Bud Beare Subaru service dept and personnel (Washington Pa) are the absolute best I have ever encountered... TrueType dedicated professional people.
I visited this dealership many times during the past 3 months just to lease a Subaru SUV. I asked a lot of questions to make sure that I could trust this dealership. I highly recommend Chrissy because of her honesty and straightforward communication style. She helped me get the best deal and I completely trust her professionalism with my Subaru lease and will definitely go back to her again when this one is up.

My vehicle broke down while I was out of town and had it towed to this dealer only because of distance issues. My vehicle broke down due to a faulty MAF sensor which I had assumed was the issue. Once I was able to speak with someone at dealership, I told them my suspicions and they got right on it. It was confirmed only a few hours later and I received my quote of 787$. The breakdown was 125$ for “requested services” and 710$ for “related requests”. That brought the total to 835$ for a sensor that takes 15 minutes to replace. I called other dealerships to get a quote on the sensor because 710$ seemed a bit steep. After chatting with a few others, I came to the conclusion that this sensor costs 350$. I spoke with this dealership asking for a breakdown of the price and they explained that the sensor would cost 480$, 130$ MORE than every other dealership around. They price matched me and said they would waive the 125$ fee bringing my total to 540$. The quote included a car wash and an inspection, my car was not washed. They also unplugged/wiped my memory from my dash cam while my vehicle was there. All in all, do not trust these guys. They tried to price gouge a part, they didn’t do everything they said they would, and are untrustworthy for disconnecting my camera.
I am treated well with always a discount. A state inspection with an oil change in less than an hour at a good price. What more could anyone ask?

I had a great car buying experience. My salesman, Jan, was so helpful and patient as I explored the various models available. And he was super helpful and friendly towards my toddler who also wanted to explore the cars; but not the same care that I was looking at. I walked into the dealership on a spur-of-the-moment and walked out with a new vehicle. It was much easier and faster than other times in the past.Thanks for a really great car buying experience.

Have not had a very positive experience. Annual inspection was to be done in 2 hours and when I went to pick up car, they had not started. I got a coupon for $10 off detailing so called to see how much it would be. Was told $225.00! I can go anywhere in town for less than half that price. My car is 1 year old with 3000 miles on it. Cant require too much. I will never buy another.

I was in the market for a new car and Budd Baer was able to give me the best price in the entire greater Pittsburgh area by at least a grand on my new car. Beth was great and very responsive. When I made my decision, she handed me over to Chrissy and Chris was also great- she was friendly and efficient, getting me out the door in my car in 2 hours. No one was pushy, and every person I dealt with with buying my new car was a woman as well- it was really nice to work with all women as I’ve had negative experiences buying from men in the past. When I’m in the market for a new car again I’ll definitely go back.

Took my subaru in for a valve spring recall. They had my car for a week, got Subaru to approve an additional fix that was needed due to the recalled part. So get car back in evening, takes lot attendant 30mins to bring my car to me(due to a dead battery) doesnt say anything to me. Car running when I get in, drive 15mins down road to eat dinner with my daughter. Come out to leave, car is dead as can be. After getting a jump an getting car to my personal mechanics house, we notice intake hose not on an clamp not tight at all. Push pins an bolts missing 3 total. Take car back to budd Baer for them to fix right an replace parts an pieces they decided didnt need go back on my car. Asked 1 the advisors (vicki) y none my fluids were topped off with the oil change I paid for while they had my car. Got nothing but attitude from her. For the next 7 days I continuously had to put antifreeze in car. Come to find out a hose had a slit in it causing the spewing of antifreeze. I try get hold dealership an service manager just to be ignored. Before when I went back to dealership manager offered me a free oil change for all the inconvience an hassle of his certified ase techs totally screwing my car up. Avoid at all costs going to budd Baer. U will get ur car back in lot worse condition it was in b4 u took it in.

I have been fighting buying a new car and have looked at several. I finally bought a Subaru Forrester. Steve Whitlatch @ Budd Baer was the only salesperson that I found that actually knew his product. He didnt need to refer to a book, computer, or lie to make the sale. I have driven the car about 170 miles and I am very satisfied thus far. I hope my experiences in the service department are as favorable .12/17/18 Today I attended my new car class with Brandon. Brandon was very informative and I found features that I didnt know I had . Its hard to believe that a car dealer would do this so I can learn about the features of my new car. So far my experience with Budd Baer Subaru has been very favourable .3/27/19 I took my car in for the first service today and my service consultant Vickie was extremely pleasant, smiled, seemed to enjoy her job, was very knowledgeable and was very professional. She is a true asset to the Budd Baer Subaru service department .11/21/19 My Forrester is a few days short of being one year old and it hasnt had any issues. Vickie and Diana have both been excellent to work with on my service needs and always seems to have a smile on their faces. They have both answered many questions about the technical stuff that Subaru has put into their cars. My old cars didnt have all of the safety bells and whistles . My service work has mainly been oil changes, tire rotations, and a state inspection. Every one has been a pleasure to work with.

I bought the most awsome car from Carlo Di at Budd Baer Subaru, with low miles to boot! The staff and sevice were both above average. The price of the car was a little higher then I wanted to go but the car was well worth it! Mr Di worked the numbers and came as close as he could! This would be Zero stars if possible.I found a car on their website, I emailed and asked if it had been modified or if it was 100% stock. I was assured that there were no modifications and that it would be a certified pre-owned Subaru. After a couple of days of negotiation, I decide to buy the car and make the 2 1/2 hour drive. As I am driving to the dealership, I receive a call and I am told that the car has an after-market exhaust (modification) and can not be certified. But that they would lower the price. Since I was already on the way, I said ok and I would decide once I got there.I arrived at the dealership and was introduced to the service manager which put me to ease about the mods done to the car and felt comfortable with it. Though I was originally told the car was mod free.I then find out that a Cobb Tuner would be needed to make the car perform as intended. Which they were quickly able to remedy. I was also told that all title and license plate work would be done for me and my plates would be sent to me. Which I found out later was not the case.All in all I feel I got a decent car at a decent price. Though being lied to from the start made me a little concerned about their integrity.Fast forward one week, I receive my “out of state” title and check for my taxes. I proceed to my local title agency to get my title and plates. Budd Baer sent the wrong amount on the tax check, title agency would not accept a check for over the amount owned. So I had to go to my bank, withdraw cash, go back to the title agency, pay for the taxes and proceed to get my plates.I called Budd Baer Subaru when I leave to explain what happened. I was told that my options were to drive back to the dealership and have a new check made. 9-5 Monday through Friday. Also, a 2.5 hour drive one way, or send it to them and they will reissue the check. Assuming it makes it back to them, and they have any clue of what to do with it when they receive it.The car I bought is not easy to find, and is exactly what I was looking for. But as for as Budd Baer goes as a dealership, I will NEVER recommend or purchase another car from them. They lied to me from the beginning, and a week later I have to deal with them again. They could have easily stopped payment on their incorrect check and overnighted me a new check. Instead, I get to be completely inconvenienced to make their life easier.UPDATE:They did agree to send me a check to fix their mistake. However, I need to send them the incorrect check because it costs $35 to stop payment on a check. Margins must be pretty tight there! $35,000 on a used car and they can’t afford $35?Also, the generic response from the owner to my review is laughable. Didn’t spell my name correctly, and why would I call?!? You have my info call me, or just post a generic response and pretend I didn’t write the review.

I’m from WV and everything used they had to offer was very over priced. I’m a full time college student and did not have the money to purchase a new vehicle. Budd Baer was excellent and didn’t treat me like someone too “poor” to bother working with. Carlo was my salesman and worked very hard to find used vehicles in my price range. The car I chose, while still a very fair price, was still a little too much for me but he didn’t give up and helped negotiate a fantastic deal. For that I will be back in the future to purchase more vehicles as long as they are in business.

Ive had my car for over a year and a half and still love it. The salesmen was great and I was happy with everything. What Im not happy with is the Auto Butler I purchased. I have to follow up every 6 months or so because I have yet to get a card in the mail. They also didnt mention that weekend appointments are hard to come by and you have to schedule weeks in advance. I asked for a refund because its more trouble then anything. They dont give refunds for it. I recommend the dealership, just not the Auto Butler.

Had a coolant issue as we were headed out of town for vacation and called on our way through. Service team confirmed an appointment for 1pm (less than an hour from when we called) but encouraged us to come ahead over and be patient as they fit us in. We arrived and were immediately directed to pull in for service and the team had the issue fixed and our family back on the road in under an hour (ahead of our appointment time even). Service was prompt, courteous, and thorough. We appreciated the snacks and waiting space for our children as well. Dianna and Derrick were especially helpful. My husband put it best saying, “They saved vacation!” We’d definitely recommend them and return again if needed! Thank you!!

Ive been very impressed with the service here the last couple of times that Ive gone. They do everything in there control to ensure it is a quick service and down correctly. Im most impressed by Samantha who has handled my express service the last couple of times. Not only was she courteous and prompt with my service but I was also impressed with how she handled all of the clients around me with represent, knowledge and professionalism.

I bought my first new car here back in 2007. It was a blue 2007 Pontiac G5. I believe I got a fair price, and got the car serviced there for the first two or three years. Service was prompt, the shuttle was convenient since I worked in town. Prices werent terrible, except on tires. They could have handled the tire warranty better, but things might have gotten better since.
Make an appointment and dont worry, they give you a call or text to remind you! Very friendly staff, answer all my questions. Recommend it highly to anyone looking at a car purchase or lease. Especially Subaru, theyre awsome. On our 5th one!

I recommended that my son buy his 1st car here. They seemed to be a good place to buy a used Subaru. My husband and my son went together to look at the car and purchased the car. Its a great car thats not the problem. We have had what you would think was a minor issue and called the dealer within a couple of days. We have gotten nothing but a run around for months now. Its a shame they claim to be the honest dealer. They have not returned our calls just leave a voice mail to a person who doesnt ever call back. I am considering buying a new Subaru myself but not from these guys! They have taught my son a valuable lesson also about who you do business with and what they claim to be is not always true. Thanks. So they are definitely used car sales men. At least the product is good. Try a different dealer if you want to get a Subaru. Make sure they give you 2 keys to the car dont leave without them or theyre going to tell you it $400+ to get the 2nd key!!! I can’t say enough good things about my experience purchasing my very first Subaru vehicle from Budd Baer, and give all the credit to the Sales associate I worked with. I dealt with Chrissy Marks throughout the entire vehicle purchasing process, and she was an absolute rock star. Chrissy was extremely thorough, making sure to take her time with me and answer all of my questions. I appreciated how patient she was as well. Buying a new vehicle is a huge decision, and working with someone who understands that, and allows you to move at your own pace is priceless. I at no point felt rushed or pressured, which we all know can be common with most car shopping experiences. Her knowledge, professionalism, and customer service were unparalleled, and it was by far the most pleasant experience. Were still negotiating on a used car, but very likely to buy here because of our excellent, helpful salesperson. Even after I purchased the vehicle they are still helping me with any questions or concerns I have. Due to them I have purchased the vehicle of my dreams a Yukon!!! I had an accident right after I purchased the vehicle, I was not able to pick up the Yukon for a few weeks and they were great and worked with me until I could have someone go pick it up. If you want a different type of dealership and one that cares they are the ones to choose. I have purchased other vehicles and the sales man was professional and most of all caring, I have never seen so much willingness to please a customer.
Excellent customer service. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I couldnt have made a better car choice or a better dealer choice. Budd Baer is truly the best dealer around!
Update... We bought a vehicle. I have another review. But were content. Theres a couple things that Should have been addressed. Like Windshield Wipers. The Battery for the remote key pod should of been replaced, there was plenty of time. Over all it was a decent experience beyond being there for about 7 hours. I Would recommend it. Dont buy a Nissan There, They Cant Service it and John sisson Nissans Service Dept, Has Much to be Desired!
Their advertised 30 minute express service is consistently 60 to 90 minutes in reality. This latest time I called before driving down to inquire about the wait and was told that they were running on time. When I pulled in 7 minutes later I was told that the 30 minute express service might actually take 1-2 hours. In addition to falsely advertising services, this is just poor customer service. Ill be purchasing and servicing my next vehicle elsewhere.
