This Starbucks is great... located around back of Trump Hotel it is tucked away with a group of workers that are kind and considerate. I had a bad experience at Starbucks Union Station and this Starbucks total redeemed my feelings. I would recommend this Starbucks to everyone. I ordered the Black Tea Lemonade and wow it hit the spot.
Super central location and fast service. There’s a large central table with able 12 seats and smaller tables along the sides. It’s inside of the hotel, but also desperate because you don’t have to go through the main hotel lobby. It looks like they used an old hotel office to build this Starbucks because they left some old mailboxes on one of the walls which give it a pretty cool vibe.
I come to DC once a year in January, but this was my first time to stop at this Starbucks. It was amazing!! It was a very busy day and yet all the employees were friendly and efficient. The sweetest, most friendly was Chance at the register! I had watched him take order after order with the most beautiful smile on his face! That is great customer service from a genuinely wonderful person. I told him so when it came to my turn. We visited quickly, took a great photo and I will absolutely be back next year on my visit back to the city!! Keep hiring young men like him!!!!! Let him know my Mary The Queen Starbucks cup will sit on my desk at work!
Went here around 3pm on April 1st, the staff must have been fooling around on purpose because everyone (and I mean everyone) was waiting at least 20 minutes to get their orders screwed up, it was not busy either. The staff was very disrespectful and rude, I think they mustve been on something. It was shocking that they were employed by Starbucks at such a good location. Ordered my beverage at 3pm and got it 20min later.
I hope the employees see this who were there when I visited. couple weeks back, they were one of the few places open with a restroom in DC because of Covid. My wife and i went in to use the bathroom, and of course for me that means also making a purchase. When we came in they had no expectation of making a purchase and directed us to the restrooms when we asked. As I was checking out the employees were outstandingly friendly and kind. They got along with each-other great creating a very fun atmosphere. The lady helping me gave me great tips on things that were open in DC of which we ended up exploring (the Bible Museum which was mind-blowing and covid precocious. The dining was average starbucks, but the vibe of the place that the staff gave was incredible.
Sweetest, kindest people who care so much about their employees. Thank you all for being so thoughtful and caring!!
The entire staff here is incredibly kind and friendly! By far the best Starbucks in the city.
Service was quick! Well organized and staff was friendly enough. Tables were clean, and had a warm charming feeling. Location was busy, however felt they had enough staff to accommodate. Drinks were good as expected!
Visited 3 times during our trip due to proximity to our hotel. Each time the staff was different but all were cheerful, polite and helpful in offering tourist suggestions or making small talk.
This location is very clean, has a great atmosphere, and is conveniently close to many museums. The employees were very kind, positive, and super friendly! Zay, was very kind went above and beyond to make our experience great!
Spoke to Chance and he was so sweet. Service was great!
This Starbucks is the best one Ive ever been to. It was so relaxing to sit inside after a long day, and Breezie the store manager is one of the kindest, most pleasant people Ive met in D.C. We really enjoyed talking to her, and the coffee was great too!
The employees were absolutely precious!! They were so sweet! Abu was the best employee I’ve ever met!! Would definitely go again!
Great building it looks so cool! It is a old building (looks really sick!) I’m rating 4 stars just cause I ordered a sandwich and asked NO CHEESE but.... even on the label...... they still put it. That’s fine tho still great.
Great place. 10/10
This location is on the street level, south side of Trumps hotel. It not in the hotel itself. Its clean, bright and modern with seating for 20 or so. Typical Starbucks drinks, fare & prices.
Found a new favorite drink. Strawberry acai with lemonade. Delicious
Horrible customer service, we went 20min before closing. They already started closing everything, the employee had his ear buds in and was talking to someone while trying to take our order. We end up not getting what we ordered, music was playing very loud, we didn’t have a pleasant experience at all.
Staff is always nice and greets me with a smile. Not sure why the bad reviews. Customers come in with bad attitudes.. 5 stars for them having the abilities to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with not so pleasent customers.P.S.Find happiness in self not a cup...
This Starbucks is located in the Trump International hotel. I am not a Trump fan but the Starbucks show was really neat. It is an old building so you can see the old mailboxes that were there long ago. Starbucks also has a welcome nook that a customer can leave a message on a post it note to say where you are from...
The employees are really amazing very much welcoming and exhibit positive energy definately my preferred Starbucks in the whole of DC
Staff is great here. Friendly and welcoming. Coffee is hot and served just how I like it. Food selection is regular Starbucks variety, breakfast sandwiches, pastry, etc. No nitro though. Like the mailboxes on the wall, ode to the old post office building. Next to the old post office museum tour entrance on the backside of Trump Hotel.
Needed the serenity (and the caffeine) after looking in the Trump shop...
We stopped in for a quick eat - and ordered to go. It wasn’t busy when we arrived. No line...does that even happen in a Starbucks. We ordered and 3 full orders - (meaning 12-15 minutes) behind our order were filled before ours was completed - we ordered pastries that had to be bagged and handed out at the front end...to go not even coffee or drinks?!!! It took three tries before they finished our order and in fairness they said the order tickets to pull didn’t print but still....we bought over $40 of pastries to go.It was the lack of consideration for the time waisted and lack of apology when we inquired three times as to what was going on with the order that earned them three stars.
Friendly people! Finally found a coffee shop to call a regular! Received my service dog and I very nicely. Back soon.
Excellent location! Messsge for Vegans: check out the cinnamon raisin bagel (vegan) and add the avocado spread. Sounds like an interesting combination but its very tasty. Also, the baristas provide exceptional customer service!
The young man was very helpful, but the older lady Michelle was horrible. She had an attitude when we walked in and after I told her our order she glares at me and says Im waiting! I said I just told you our order and she says no you didnt. She definitely knew the order that I told her because when we added a coffee right after Michelle said you only said 5 hot chocolates. We will never return or recommend this place.
I am so glad there is a Starbucks within a short walk to my office, but the service here is so bad that I am starting to think this is a training store. This store is not part of the hotel, because you get to it from a basement entrance and there is no direct access to the hotel. I would suggest trying some of the other options in this area, because the service is much better and faster.
Some dont like that this Starbucks because it is in the same building as the Trump Hotel (as is the Clock Tower Museum). However, I have no idea about the relationship between the hotel and the coffee shop-- or the museum. I do know that the atmosphere is very comfortable, the coffee is good, and the staff great.
This is a coffee shop but more than half of the time I am here they are out of coffee, creamer, milk, and sugars. They literally have one job: to make coffee, so how are they always out?? This is close to my office so my coworkers and I often come here after lunch, which IS NOT EVEN RUSH HOUR, and this is usually the time when they are OUT OF COFFEE. How? The service is SLOWWWW and sometimes there is only one worker who has to make the coffee AND take orders, but even when there are 2 employees, it is still unbearably slow. However the coffee is better priced and tastes better than Timgads dirt water so I keep coming here.
Friendly staff, nice amenities (power plugs EVERYWHERE)
This is inside trump hotel, the baristas are super friendly and warm
Very beautiful store, love the sticky notes. plenty of seats, would recommend
Super delicious Ice caramel macchiato, and friendly environment ! I love it ❤
A wonderful Starbucks with a efficient staff and clean area to sit and have a relaxing cup of coffee or tea.
Located in or connected to the Trump Hotel. Very friendly staff and quick service.
One of the starbucks spots in dc. Spacious, clean and the drinks are always just right. Its a four star because the hours arent of my like.
Nice people. But very unprofessional. No uniform. Dont know recipes. Very slow. Do they care?
Beautiful shop but probably the messiest Starbucks ive been in. Bins were overflowing, tables never wiped down once the 30 min we ate and relaxed there. Hope they get a custodian.
Is a nice Starbucks, is right under one of Trumps Hotel, you have to really pay attention to the signs to see it.
Very nice and cozy place. Neat and clean, friendly staff. Great coffee. Not crowded.
This one i s re ally good when it had its regular staff and if not then walk to F. Street. They both ared very good wit h regular staff.
Friendly staff, great space, one of my fav Starbucks in DC!
The coffee was great and service was service.But......Both my phone and my friends phone died, and I’m assuming the workers at this Starbucks pay for the electric bill of the place.I kindly asked if they could charge my phone in the back while I sit here. The barista working the cash register told me they have chargers available for us behind couches and under neath couches, and we jumped with joy. What he meant was “ we have plugs “ because when we checked exactly where the chargers should be, that’s what was there. Simply a plug.I than asked the other barista and apologized and said I think the other barista miss understood me, we need to just charge our phones, ( both dead )And I’m just simply asking for a favor, the other barista told me they don’t have chargers.I’m suppose to believe that? Both very young baristas don’t have chargers? I used to work at Starbucks and I know the type of people who get hired there. So I figured hey, we can just go to Starbucks and ask nicely.I mean maybe they really didn’t have chargers, but plugs aren’t chargers, and I feel like I was simply told that to just get an answer and go.Anyways, coffee was amazing! I got it with a smile! The service was great. I totally would come back, but next time I won’t ask for misc. tasks that just make Starbucks a better place.
Not just for college kids..My first time here GREAT
Actually quite nice despite being in same building as Trump Hotel. Post Office history showcased
I go here EVERYDAY, and 1 out of 5 days, is when my drinks made WRONG. Poor Management, high employment turnover, and the wait is RIDICULOUS...but its convenient 🙁☹️😱😵
Im visiting from atlanta ga. Came here the cashier was chilling on her phone. Usually no biggie but it took her a minute. When she realized I was there, I ordered a medicine ball. She seemed confused about how to Ringgit in something about not being able to find it so I clarified the Jade mint Citrus tea as she said yes I know just we have to bring it up a different way. A tall gentleman came from the back and seemed confused about the drink as well, so she just told him its the one with the steamed lemonade. I confirmed with them again that I want the medicine ball with the Jade citrus mint and they said yes sir we got it. As I sat together my drink, he set in front of me that drink labeled Citrus Defender and said heres your citrus Defender and I said no I ordered Jade mint citrus and he said oh Im sorry thats what it is my apologies thats what it is I said are you sure he said yes yes. I was walking down for about a mile trying to let it cool off tasted it realized it wasnt that and so I walked back and confronted him. He proceeds to ask what actually is in the medicine ball? I asked for my money back and the acting manager said because I paid cash I have to take a store credit that I cannot get my cash back. You can check and see that I review places from time to time I also working in the restaurant industry. I try to be understanding and leave things be but this is about as bad as it gets. This is a rare 1 star for me. I dont want free. Lying to my face is the issue.
Great experience at the Trump hotel, parking and all in all experience was great but the Starbucks itself was very dirty was not kept up at all very disappointed to see a Starbucks that dirty at such a prestigious hotel
Friendly staff! Clean environment.
Starbucks as a whole is known for their overprice, overcooked coffee, however I went during their happy hour and got their half priced drink making it a reasonable purchase. It came out slowly due to high traffic and made overly sweet, but the location and venue was about as good as you can ask for.
Appreciate the attention the barista portrayed to get my drink correct
Good seats for sitting outside, but they did not had most of their coffe types flavours available and only one guy Working on 20 peoples coffees. Had to wait forever.
Great cozy area with friendly staff that greet you with a smile
Worst starbucks ever. Literally waited 40 minutes. The line was kind of long so I expected to wait 10-15 minutes. They werent understaffed, just had a poor staff. We even heard them joking about how slow they were working, and that theyll probably get bad reviews. Well, here you go, since its so funny. Unbelievable, what ever happened to people taking pride in their work.
Quality fine. Staff horrible. Lady yelled at our group member for their mistake..
Quick service, a little hidden away, but great atmosphere.
This is the SLOWEST Starbucks I have ever been to in my life! I have been standing in line for 30 minutes. AWFUL!!
Ambience is nice, but the chai latte was terrible. It was watered down.
Severely understaffed and poorly located within Trump Tower this Starbucks falls short of the brands popular promise for speed and quality. With a poorly stocked pastry selection and slow service Id say its best to go with a different location.
Good and clean rooms, stayed here for two weeks. I only had a problem in them changing all the sheets, not just the blankets. Long story short they fixed the problem fast.
Love the location of this Starbucks as we will be staying at the Trump Hotel during upcoming visit to our favorite hotel chain.
Nice employees. They deserve the five stars ✨
Very nice Starbucks, excellent location, and service was great.
Very long lines, but it showed how good the service actually was because it moved very quickly.
This was the worst Starbucks Ive ever been to. The service was despicable and the staff were extremely slow. Ive never had to wait 20 minutes for an order before, but unfortunately, theres a first for everything. There was a gentleman that ordered a coffee, and the barista basically took off and said hes done his shift. He wont be passing on the order to the next barista. He just didnt care to finish his job, yet he had no problem making his own drink to go. That barista mustve had urgent Easter plans. It was unbelievable. Ive never seen such unprofessionalism and slow service at a Starbucks before.
Pricey but delicious
I love the refills for 55 cents, the WiFi, the outlets, the interior and the view of the street.
Starbucks at Trump International Hotel needs to keep their employees in check! Rude and arrogant is a poor description for the barista who serve me and my sister this morning. Absolutely horrific service
Behind the counter team was slow and unorganized and didnt care. Poorest Starbucks experience!!! Waited over 30 min. For 4 drinks.
Good service for being crowded all the time.
I orderd same coffee from other branches in other states and other country but the coffee here taste just not as good.
Only coffee shop open late into the evening and on weekends in the museum stretch. The place is under staffed so expect long wait times. While its located in the Trump international hotel building, the entrance is in the back, off the 12th Street, opposite the metro station.
Super busy Starbucks. The staff were entertaining though which made the wait not so bad.
Terribly slow service. Messy and poorly mixed drinks.
This is one of the best Starbucks around
Great place for coffee and small business meetings.
Very busy but efficient staff.
So. Slow. So. Subpar. This is a disappointing one. Took forever to get a simple coffee.
Its Starbucks. You can find cheaper coffee!
Make the trek up to the Starbucks at National Place. Better service and quality of drinks.
Its a Starbucks. A good one.
This was my first time I went to a Starbucks in my 25 years of life and I won’t ever go back to another STARBUCKS again specially this one the employees are the worst they didn’t have most of the stuff wanted they are really loud and they have such foul language like never again in my life if I could give y’all negative stars I would.
Loved the little post boxes on the wall here, but was somewhat saddened to realise that most of them were fake :(
Good service. As usual Starbucks coffee is meh.
Amazing staff, very friendly
The typical fast and friendly service as expected.
Drive threw friendly service
Worse service ever! Deserves no stars.
The people was nice
This place was very understaffed and slow. Also very messy with trash on floor and counters
Just what we needed on a cold evening of sightseeing!
They closed 20 min prior to their official closing time...
