Small ace hardware store tucked away in the parking garage, but good for a quick in and out for specific items. Not going to have the largest selection, but thats probably not why you are headed here anyway!Edit: updating my review here as per the response below. They expanded the store a LOT - its maybe 33% to 50% larger now which has a lot more stock.

Found exactly what I needed except that it took me a walk around the block with GPS and finally asking for directions at street level to find out that its actually at the garage level. The large blue logo is visible from the street but it should also say Garage Level somewhere! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Id go again now that I know where the entrance is!

Very helpful staff. Good variety of tools for your home. I bought adjustable wrench and pliers. The wrench didnt fit and I returned without any problem. Youll find good quality tools for reasonable price.

This is the second time I’ve made a purchase online but when I arrive to pick up the already paid for products they say they aren’t available at the store. This seems like a system issue. Employees are always nice just wish the system allowed them to meet the needs of the customers.

Store is kind of in an odd location, but they have good size staff and were able to direct me to the stuff I needed.

Paint section is a little disorganized (compare with the paint section at the Adams Morgan Ace).Edited to add: I just mean that the paint swatches arent organized as well as they could be. The staff is extremely helpful and patient.

Ace hardware is my neighborhood hardware shop. This time I had all my knives sharpened! I highly recommend this service!

Difficult to get to, but attendants are very helpful snd is well stocked.

Within the most recent of visits for my first time at this location, I have been assisted when spotted and have been able to obtain all that I was looking for. As for the few they did not possess, I was advised a nearby location that could fulfill the need. I would recommend this location due to the performance while also due to the multitude of local convenience within walking distance.

They have almost everything from toilet plungers to led lights. They are your standard hardware store with multiple outlets.

The inventory at this location is great, but the customer service is always courteous and helpful. Great place to get Chanukah and Christmas decorations as well.

The employees here are the highlight and if they do not know an answer they will look it up.The store however does not price match, does not carry a wide breadth of materials, and generally is not the first place Id look for anything except when time is of the essence. (No poison refills for the rodent traps they sell, spray paint is almost 3x as expensive as home Depot, and the keys made here only work about half the time.)So, generally a fine store but a victim of their footprint and the ace franchise.

I like this hardware store. It has almost all the smaller items I need. But best of all, the employees have the knowledge to help you find just what you need. This time, it was all the different light bulbs for fixtures and appliances in the house. Items can be a bit more expensive but often worth it. One hour free parking with validation, in the underground lot.

Staff is super, I called ahead to make sure what I needed was in stock, and when I walked in the door some 11 minutes later I was greeted as if he knew me ! In and out although I did park on the curb and ride the stairs down due to my work truck not fitting in the parking garage, PS, the stamp your ticket so ya dont pay for parking here!

Delivery to target I give them zero they said apt but they are not every body show up in the morning my apt was 8:00am but the drive way is full already very narrow entry on river Rd there is small road I remember the name u will got it there but u have to go thru.. and make U-tune and come back and they will keep u hours I miss my day ...

Overheard some rather rude comments about a patrons body odor from the staff and their disdain for them. Saying comments like they should wear deodorant or how one said they wish they could burn it down.

The most important thing about this hardware store is the fact that it has some place for you to park. (It has a underground lot.) Because this store is in the middle of the city with limited parking spaces. Once in the hardware store I think youll find just about everything youre looking for for me its high quality Benjamin Moore paint and other Hardware items I need to fix things in my daily handyman business.

Very friendly staff. Store seems to be well stocked and current(no dusty merchandise). The aisles are bit close, which makes it tough to get what you want when someone approaches from the other end. All in all, a fine store!

Lawrence and Melissa were amazing. Thank you thank you thank you!! I don’t have a lot of tools at home so they took the time to help me cut and measure everything in the store that I needed. On top of that they were super friendly and funny, and chatted like we were old friends. The prices were a bit higher than Home Depot but I didn’t have to search for help like you do there.

It can only be accessed through the lower level garage, or the escalator and elevator from the main level. Of you dont know where it is, its easy to miss. The service has most certainly improved over the years. The staff are very helpful and the stores stock has slowly expanded to included key-copying and limited lumber options in the back.

Its 10:30 a.m. on May 22nd 2020 & whomever the lady is answering the phone has an extremely nasty attitude. Were in the middle of a pandemic & you have to deal with someone elses attitude because she doesnt wanna be at work. She kept cutting my husband off & even hung up on him without saying anything. Called Glover Park & got EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. They looked for the items we needed with zero attitude, had it in stock & we are otw to do pick it up. Definitely lost a customer

Tucked away in the basement by the Tenleytown Metro station, this is a surprisingly well stocked hardware store. Theyve managed to utilize every inch of an odd shaped space! Parking right outside the doors in the underground garage is very convenient.

Friendly and very helpful staff. You are usually immediately greeted and asked if you need assistance finding an item. Great quality in some items that you wont find anywhere else.

I picked up two bottles of 70 percent alcohol and the cashier told me $8 and change. Walmart, Target and the Giant sell the same bottle for $1 and change or maybe $2 at the most. Its ridiculous how so many retailers and people are using this pandemic to try and take advantage of people. I do believe that some prices have to rise but only for certain things.

Located below Target. Not a big hardware store, but has decent selection. I consider this to be a hardware section of Target.

They have most everything one needs with reasonable prices and a friendly, helpful staff. Only problems are the claustrophobic feel (it is small and basement level) and there almost always is a line to check out.

The staff here was exceptionally friend and I always find what I need. Parking garage is tricky to locate because the signage is quite small. ACE will vailidate the parking if you make a purchase. This ACE had a great selection of indoor plants.

Both times I went there I experienced very helpful staff who volunteered to help me without my needing to even ask. They also had a sale on plant pots 50% off which is a spectacular sale.Parking: parking for an hour is validated, the entrance for parking is on the side street.

Best little hardware store. Emphasis on little, as in its not a Lowes or Home Depot. But they should have whatever you need for small repair and even craft projects. The people are so nice and friendly. Some ACE hardwares are cramped but this one is not roomy so much as not a closet. Also theres validated parking and a Target and Container Store upstairs so theres a chance your trip will not be for naught even if this place doesnt have it. Making it extra appealing IMO.

Convenient location, helpful friendly staff, has most of my home maintenance needs. Cant compete with Home Depot or Lowes on big stuff like youd want for a major renovation, but I dont have to drive 45 minutes to get a furnace filter or replacement toilet valve either. And unlike the bigger guys, the staff knows what they carry and where to find it!

We went here to buy a 5 x 7 foot tarp. Inside, there were a selection of sizes to choose, including 10 x 20 and smaller. At the register, there were business cards for home remodeling and equipment rentals. There is also tech stuff, including router signal boosters and mesh add-ons that did the same thing. Parking was ample, underground.

Used it as my go-to place for hardware and supplies. Staff is helpful. Check out lines are minimal. Some items are more expensive than I would have thought and more expensive than big box, but this is so easy for a quick item that the difference is worth not having to drive to the burbs.

Even though its tucked away on the lower level of a parking garage at Tenleytown metro station, it has the customer service and vibe of an old school small town hardware store. No matter what crazy question or request I throw at the knowledgeable staff, they find a way to help me or direct me to someone who can.

In the parking level of a multi-use building this is compressed with narrow tall aisles and a wider stock than space and location suggest. Staff have been very helpful on multiple visits.

Theyve got just about everything you could want in a hardware store. Prices are good, staff is really helpful and service is fast. Ive been coming here for years and Ive never had an issue

Cant help but notice the great customer service! I got immediate attention and found the paint and small dolly/carrier I needed. I also got tipped that you can rent a dolly for ~10 a day. I wonder what else you can rent... Anyway, the aisles are well stocked and bright.

Very positive experience here! We walked in looking for someway to attach our new DC plate to a car we inherited from PA (where only the back plate is required). We found Jeanette, who was EXTREMELY helpful for us. We explained our needs, and she took out a license plate frame from the package to see if it would fit. After we found that it did not work, she took our license plate in the back and drilled some extra holes in it so that it would fit. We only paid for the screws and fasteners that we ultimately needed to attach the plate. Truly is The Helpful Place!

I came here and got terrific customer service from Shane. The store seemed to have a lot of knowledgeable employees available to help. They had everything we needed, and its a very convenient location outside the Tenley metro station.

Was a little hard to find .... You take the basement and look to your right..... You ask yourself..... Is this a being john Malkovich kind of store where you are on the 7 and a half floor? Then you see the entrance and the bubble bursts...just another well stocked Ace hardware.

Stacy Adams was so incredibly helpful! She looked for my flat sash rod. When your store didnt carry it, she went online to see where I might be able to find /order it and gave me some suggestions of older stores that might carry it as well! This reminds me of Miracle On 34th Street when Macys went above and beyond to help customers find Christmas items . THANK YOU, Stacy! I wish more clerks were as genuinely committed to customer service the way Stacy is!

Dont come here to get your keys copied! Asked for 2 copies of my original and neither of them worked when I tried them. Came back within the hour to get them redone, and neither copied still worked when I got home!

Well stocked hardware with very knowledgeable.staff located undet yhe Contaoner Store. I call this the subterranean hardware store. Dont be put off by its location. There is free parking in the undetground ramp for Ace customers If the person who waits on you doesnt know the answer or cant find what you need, he or she will find someone who does.

This place is a treasure, an oasis of practical solutions.

Wish the store was open for a little longer, but you cant ask for more from people who have to work in a basement all day. Limited store space, so its a 50/50 if they will have what you are looking for unless its very common. Ive only received bad advice once, but their return policy is pretty good at fixing those kinds of issues.

The store is small and is adequate for small home projects. The staff could be a bit more knowledgeable.
