Logan hardware is a great little store, locally owned. Good selection of things for apartment living, though only a small garden section and practically nonexistent for lumber and such.
One of my favorite places. Great location helpful staff and quick. Pricier but thats true of all their stores.
We are so lucky to have Logan Hardware in our neighborhood! The owner always seems to have in stock whatever I need, the staff is helpful and polite, and the atmosphere of the store is consistently welcoming to everyone. Plus, they are dog-friendly, too!
I have never shopped at a hardware store for over an hour in my life. I went there to buy a hammer and nails and left 90 minutes later with a whole lot more. They have all kinds of hardware but so much more for the home. Many items are also one-of-a-kind type items that make great gifts at a very good price. Great gifts can be found there for office workers who need to find something cheap, yet unique for a co-worker or for your own home. There are also an array of items for people who enjoy gardening and even some toys for kids. I particularly liked some wooden painted spoons that were maybe from Thailand or Bangladesh I dont remember, but they were delightful. I will definitely be back to re-examine some items in this store in the near future.
Friendly staff, excellent selection, and convenient hours. 10/10, will go again.
Always well stocked with friendly, attentive employees.
Jorge is incredible, he was such a great help. He went above and beyond the call of duty, we truly appreciate him. Clone him, he’s awesome!!!
Very helpful staff. Key copying is not expensive and reliable.
Great business. A wonderful local resource for a nearby purchase. Locally owned by a delightful couple. GREAT SERVICE!
Phenomenal customer service. Kind and helpful staff.
I rarely write reviews, but Ive had (three!) wonderful experiences at this Ace location in the past week. In the process of tackling an ambitious DIY project, Ive received excellent customer service from the lumber, paint and hardware departments. I have to single out Geoff, who on my third visit took the time to talk through some issues I was having with my project, offering both encouragement and expertise. In addition to exceptional customer service and advice, this location is well stocked, and I was pleased with the range of services (e.g. lumber, paint) offered right in the thick of downtown. Definitely lives up to the Ace jingle!
I dont think people appreciate how Ace Hardwares co-op model really preserves the Local Hardware Store feel of places like Logan Hardware while still giving you the prices and selection of a megasized corporate chain.Logan Hardware has amazing and helpful employees. Clean, well organized and appropriately stocked shelves. Its also got a cozy neighborhood vibe that makes shipping in the heart of the city feel like youre in a friendly small town.
Its more of a hardware store than a Target, and more of a Target than a hardware store. I needed a 2x4 and they had it, but it was $10. It was straight. I recommend the root beer.
Twice I took my locks to get re-keyed after calling beforehand. Twice I was unable to get them re-keyed because the person wasnt available. Good place if you need to buy some hardware, but would go elsewhere for services
While Ace is a chain hardware store, Logan Hardware makes you feel like you are in a neighborhood hardware store. They are helpful and courteous... something rare these days.
Great store in a lively part of the city. They put a LOT of merchandise in every square foot. If this place was sitting in my town right next to a big box store, the big box would never see me except for an occasional sheet of plywood.
Pretty much everything you need in a hardware store ••Quick service 👍Thanks 4 the delivery 🚚
Small, and compact but has everything Ive needed plus the staff is knowledgeable about eventory
Friendly and helpful staff. Their massive selection has helped me on a number of occasions without breaking the bank when a random home issue has popped up and requires immediate response. If you can’t find it, ask, because it’s probably there!
The Logan Hardware ( Ace ) had good product and customer service .
Best ACE in DC!
Great store, good inventory, helpful staff, and reasonable prices.
Helpful and friendly staff that take the extra step to help
First time here. This is a very popular place! There was a line outside. Probably a pandemic thing, and it was a Saturday too. There was someone outside letting people in. I went to buy a rake and the employees were very helpful which was great because its a bit of a maze. The store aisles are narrow and I had a backpack so it was awkward at times. That combined with Covid shopping rules (not store rules as far as Im aware) of getting what you need quickly and getting out was a shame because there are two floors to browse in there. So much more than hardware! Next year, hopefully.
Awesome store! So many cool things and really friendly staff!
Came in right before they closed and Dale still took the time to make sure I got everything I needed. It’s unusual these days to find someone who takes pride in their work. Dude needs a raise
OMG.. this place is like Amazon.. If Logans doesnt have it..it doesnt exist!!Love it!! They even had PEZ candy!
Jorge helped me so much! he loaded 600 pounds of sand in my car
Deceptively huge! Resist your introverted tendencies and ask for help finding things, its almost Labyrinthian. You remind me of the babe...
I just love everything about this store. Its America with a roof and stairs- great products and SUPER STAFF hats off to these ladies and gentlemen for their pride and know how. They have literally saved the day many many times....
Always a positive experience at Logan Hardware. Nice to have such a nice and well stocked store in DC.
Love this place; great spot with helpful staff and a wide range of products.
Always friendly service.
There is a craftsman there that helped me fix my car window!!! 🏎Lonté was the main reason my experience was so great! He works in the back and really knows his stuff. He has a lot of experience in the hardware store industry so I thought he might have been a store owner in the past.If you ever stop by this place definitely ask for Lonté as he’ll make sure that you get taken care of and can help with nearly any of your projects.
What a disappointment. I go to Logan Hardware because I value the personal service and the attention I can get from the store staff. However today I didnt get the level of service you expect from a proximity store. I bought some fuses, and when I arrived home I realized they were the wrong amperage. I quickly went back and I found their door shut at 7:01(they close at 7pm). There was still people inside finishing shopping and I asked through the window to an employee if they could just please exchange the fuses for me. I didnt even need to go inside the store, the fuses were the same price, they could have just easily get the right ones and hand them over to me. However, she and her colleagues refused to do me the favor. They even refused to listen to me and they kept making aggressive signs through the window to make me go. I understand that employees want to go home, even that there is no way to ring anyone after the store is closed, I get all of that. Here I was asking for a simple favor, something that would have taken them the same amount of time they took just to curse me out through the window. I would have not been surprised if I had gotten that service in a big-box store, but thats not what I expect from a neighborhood store that I patronize often and that I consider a member of our community. I am disappointed, I though of Logan Hardware as a nice neighbor, now I see that they are just no different than any other soul-less business.
This is a neighborhood gem, with a little bit of everything. You should support it!
Logan Hardward has a bit of everything along its multiple levels. They are my go-to plant spot. Ive gotten a few houseplants there during this pandemic we are still in. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Found what I was looking for, service was very good.
I love this store, location is perfect for me,cause I love NW,and the store ha everything I need, customer service is awesome, the employees work with u to find exactly what u looking for,I just love it
Great service! It was a little cramped, but they had the random items that I needed.
Coolest place ever.
Helpful staff, useful stuff
Love our local hardware/all purpose store in the neighborhood.Always friendly. Great customer service. Knowledgeable and always well stocked.
Small hardware store (expected in an urban setting), so a bit tight . . . Had most everything you would need. Were out of stock on some bolts but no biggie . . . Got a longer bolt. Friendly staff.
So glad to have this in-the-neighborhood store! Good staff and amazing content considering the square footage
Well-stocked hardware shop that generally has everything you need to style up or fix your house. From paints, cookware, plumbing, electrical items to gardening material.
The owner and everyone who works there is always extremely nice
Great store and great service from the young lady who assisted me with my plants and my repotting of the plants that I purchased. Great attitude and she was able to handle me in an easy fashion. Thank you for having an amazing store relatively close to my residence.
They went out of their way to help me find a replacement fill-valve seal for my toilet. And it would have been only a 75-cent sale!
Very helpful and friendly staff
Great, helpful customer service. They pack a lot into this urban store
Get the memebership you won’t regret it
Wonderful spot! Always super helpful staff, things are always clean and clearly maintained. Wed be lost without you guys, thank you!
My neighborhood go-to for home repair/DIY equipment and housewares. Staff are always very friendly and helpful (answering questions about products, etc.).
Alway have what I need. The staff is so friendly and very knowledgeable.
Customer service is great store is always clean and they have what you want
Woman at the cash register was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Manager was worse. I bought a mask that did mot have a price on it, and then after I paid for it and saw my receipt I realized that it was much more expensive that what I had thought and wanted to return it. The person at the register and her manager insisted that I cannot return the mask based on their policy, even though I literally purchased it 2 minutes earlier. 2 MINUTES!!!I get the policy, but come on!! If they were nice about maybe I wouldn’t have cared, but they were so incredibly rude and arrogant. I am a local neighbor and will never go back to this store. NEVER.
Great neighborhood hardware store that is gay friendly and helps the community.
Good selection but crowded.
Was able to find surgical mask and disposable gloves. Staff is very helpful. They are a great neighborhood hardware store.
Most of the Ace Hardware locations in the area have had remarkably friendly and helpful employees when I stop through. Logan Hardware just happens to be the closest one to me. Can usually find what Im looking for on one of their two floors (so larger than most in the area too). Great selection of everything for the inside and outside of your house. Its also dog friendly.
I needed an air filter, they had it, polite knowledgeable, I was in and out quickly. I was a hero at home with the new filter!
It was a pleasant experience, customer service was the best in the store and over the phoneAce hardware has always been my go to hardware store.Keep up the good work.
Always have what you need when your on the go
Commute time: 5 blocks walking.Shopping time: 10 min (1 drill bit)Checking out wait time: 34 minThis is typical. I have regretted giving them chance after chance. Adams-Morgan Ace forevermore.
Love this place. The staff are lovely, they have everything you need at a reasonable price, they are amazing with pups, the owners are wonderful... What more could you want?
Didnt have what I wanted but the customer service was nice and he was very patient with me
So much more than just hardware. You walk in to find Hugh Jackman, shirtless, reprising his role in Logan, the gritty finale to the Wolverine series. When hes not helping you compare paint swatches, he puts sharp-edged (and fairly-priced) tools between his fingers and spins around for a while. Very neat. Sometimes he gets confused and breaks into one of his musical roles, but hey the guy has a nice singing voice. Would recommend a visit for your hardware needs
Gr8 •• and had purchase delivered •
Helpful/knowledgeable employees
Great place, very customer happy
Perfect ❤️
Super useful to have in the middle of the city. Has all the tools and services you need, and friendly employees
Best customer service. Love this place.
Awesome place
Friendly service, had what I needed
Its a hardware store. Not much else to write.
Looks like a small store from the outside but they have just about anything you could need for your city apartment. The staff knows every inch of this store and can easily help you find the nuts and bolts (lol) of what you need for your project. Also, this place houses an underrated selection of plants upstairs! Make sure to swing by check it out. Almost all the plants I’ve bought there have been well cared for and are still living now. I’ll hopefully be back to buy more plants soon.
Close by. And good stock.
Well stock and helpful staff.
Great plant selection. You have to go upstairs to find it. Pretty reasonably priced and wide variety.
Great service
Friendly people and they have everything for reasonable prices.
I hope the the employees of Logan Hardware read this. THANK YOU FOR EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Especially the gentleman at the register. His personality and disposition was sooooo pleasant and inviting. He was a breath of fresh air, even though it was raining outside, it was sunny in Logan Hardware.
Now employee owned.
Where is the six star option? I have lived in the neighborhood for quite some time now and cant believe I hadnt been here sooner. Everyone working here is incredibly friendly and the service is exceptional. They have almost everything home repair related and even have a nice small plant selection upstairs.
Dog friendly, helpful staff, AMAZING selection
Logan Ace Hardware is a modern equivalent of your neighborhood hardware store. Cheery, attentive sales folks with knowledge of the stuff in their department and others. I walk farther to go to Logan even though there are closer Ace stores. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic. Everything and anything you could possibly want, conveniently located and with pleasant and knowledgeable service. Somehow a better and more reliable inventory than the big home improvement stores.
The people at Logan Hardware are incredibly helpful and kind when youre trying to find things and with two floors the store offers a truly wide variety of products. They also have some really cool socks there for some reason and I love it.
An enormous selection of products, fairly priced, right at your fingertips – all this in the middle of the city. Logan Hardware is bigger than you think with multiple floors of hardware, gardening supplies, kitchen utensils, and everything else you might need to run your home/apartment. On top of that, the staff are courteous, knowledgeable, kind, helpful and invariably cheery. Logan Hardware helps make 14th St not just a place to live, but a true neighborhood.
Very friendly and helpful service, they offered advice and pointed me in the right direction even in passing while busy with other customers. I highly recommend checking with them for any of your hardware needs.
This store seems to have issues with the prices not being correctly indicated. When I brought up the discrepancy at checkout, the response from the cashier was uninterested and rude. I wont be returning.
Very good
Marvin is awesome. I came in knowing nothing about using wall anchors to hang curtains, and he helped me choose the right ones along with the right screws.
Good, helpful, people
Tight aisles but has the necessities for home improvements and projects
They consistently have just about everything I look for in stock. Plus their staff is always helpful knowledgeable and friendly. It should not be understated how convenient it is to have a hardware store in such an urban neighborhood.
Since we lost our Ace at 5th & L, this is the closest hardware store to us. The layout is a bit funky but the staff on the floor are very helpful and they do have a decent stock. I was very impressed that they had 3 cashiers available and attentive but I did have some difficulty understanding the cashier I was interacting with.
