There is a reason this store is getting horrible reviews. Some of the worst customer service you can ever experience. Rude people working there, and a rude owner based on previous interactions, and their snide and sarcastic replies to all of the bad reviews here. It is unfortunate that they cannot see that losing customers is more expensive than tape. If they are so concerned with the cost of tape making or breaking their business, then charge a reasonable fee for it.You are a packing and shipping company. You should probably have an easy process in place for the many people that come into your business needing to close up a box. You do have the tools and ability to do it, just not the desire to do so. You would rather lose customers, and have one of the lowest overall online review scores around I guess. Before anyone thinks this is just about tape, it is not. I have had other instances of poor customer service here over the years as well. Not being able to locate tracking numbers, not honoring insurance by making it difficult to submit a claim, giving different quotes for the same shipping depending on what employee you happen to get.Horrible policies in place here for a bad customer experience. Attitude and customer service flow from the top down.
This store has the worse customer service ever. I went to the location twice in the last two years and both times were horrible. The owners say one thing on the phone, but then tell you they didnt when you show up in person. Also, when trying to clarify your understanding based on UPS wording on receipts, instead of politely explaining their points, they reactive in defensiveness, which comes across rude, arrogantly, and the lack of inter personal skills.Looking at their replies to others that have expressed their poor experience with them on this forum, seem to be examples of such behavior. The reviews of this UPS location speak volumes. They have 78 reviews on this forum, giving them an average star rating of 2.2.After analyzing the reviews and my own experience, I am thinking the owners take no accountability for their customer service, they just blame the customer or provide excuses. Not sure how so many customers, who dont know each other, could have similar experiences, and nothing seems to have changed. They might be the only UPS franchise in Washington, MO, but there are other options for shipping, who would be happy to take our money and provide good customer service in return. I am curious what the license agreement with UPS says and how UPS may eventually handle the situation as they are representing the UPS name.
Absolutely awesome customer service. Girl at the counter greeted EVERYONE who came in, acknowledged them and let them know, well be with you as soon as we can, and they were super busy as it as lunchtime. She was super fast, courteous and efficient! 5 star performance!
This store will not release the package to my signer! They called the police on my signer for referring to the tracking number while he had me on the speaker phone with them too. I called earlier today and was told that they asked the owner, and that I could have someone pick the package up in my absence since I am out of state for a few more days. They threatened sending my package back. They said they will ship the package back to the sender on Saturday even thiugh I can’t be there until Tuesday and refused to hold it even though I paid eight dollars to have it held. The customer service was very poor and I am not satisfied with UPS For not holding up to their own policy of all these packages whfor not holding up to their own policy of releasing packages when it clearly says that someone else can pick the package up if they have the tracking number. What am I supposed to do? I needed my package!
Fast, efficient, knowledgeable service! Thanks so much!
Employees make of break a location like this. The girls have always been friendly and get me in/out quickly. There is an older guy that works there though (and I hate to call someone out), but the dude should not be working there. He never knows whats going on. Hes painfully slow at his job. The worst part is in the morning they sometimes have him working by himself and the line will literally go outside and into the parking lot. If hes working - forget it. Just go somewhere else.Price-wise I think UPS rates have gone up more. They used to be cheaper for larger packages, but now USPS is cheaper for literally. The UPS system takes a bit of time to get a price quote too, so if youre on the fence, USPS is more budget friendly.Update: Dropped another star, because of the rude reply by the owner. :)I dont consider 8:30am a, historically busy time. I think you just need to be more conscious choosing who you hire.
I was in UPS on 6/07 around 2:20pm.Returning a package to Amazon, I am 71 years old with a heart condition.I have never been treated so rude ever in my life. Not just the man who waited on me but the woman that owns the place.A young lady in line told me to go to Kohls, but my package had to go to ups.She said she wouldnt be at UPS if she didnt have too. Another young lady in line offered to help me.I had Amazon on the phone, UPS kepting asking for a code. That I or Amazon rep.couldnt find.I was in the UPS store for close to a hour. Finally a young man, named Ryan helped me he was polite and helpful. The owner and the older man were horrible people.
We will never go back! We’ll drive to Eureka instead. What a shame they are so rude! And to the owners response to my review above ... apparently by all the bad reviews you are the ones with a hard time showing kindness. Didn’t have a problem with Eureka store. Have a good day.
Guy that helped me was ok but there were 2 men in the back telling wildly inappropriate/offensive jokes with no regard for the customer inside.
Worst UPS store I have ever visited. They are having an influx of ATT returns and ATT isn’t doing their part, I agree they are having a hard time. This does not excuse attitudes or how they are treating the customers. Absolutely terrible attitudes from both employees who helped me. I will drive to another town before I revisit this location. Awful, awful hateful people.
If I were as miserable as the people in this place of business I’d just JUMP.
Dont expect a receipt for an Amazon return. They dont provide one. Also dont expect to track you package after its dropped off there. Two items I dropped off there never showed up in UPS tracking. 1 item I got a refund from Amazon after a week, the 2nd one took months. Today I was going to drop off another return and I requested a receipt. The first guy deflected me to the other guy and he said I should take a picture. Really, thats proof that my item would actually leave the store in a ups truck? He said if I didnt like that, I could take it somewhere else. What a joke. Read the other reviews about their customer service. Im surprised this store is still in business.
Everyone who bashes this store is wrong. This is the best UPS store I’ve been to. Sherri, Brian, and their employees have always been accommodating to me when shipping my water samples. The process is simple people. If you need to ship something you walk into the store, you pay for the service you need, they print a receipt, and it’s done. How do you mess that up? How do you get so worked up? Because they charge for tape? These things cost money. Running a business isn’t cheap. They don’t get the tape for free. Why should you? These are great people who run this store. Stop complaining and being entitled.
Not the first time Ive been in this facility, and each time, the woman in there was extremely rude and had an off-putting attitude. Further, multiple times Ive been refused because were too full. Fix it. If youre too full, then move to where you have more space or something. At the very least, dont be so dang rude when you tell people that, and fail to offer any time at which you might be accepting packages. That same woman is incredibly awful, and should be replaced with a more friendly face. At least the fact that you dont have any room might then be more palatable. Awful. Ill drive somewhere else next time just to avoid the condescending customer service.
This is THE WORST Ups store. The red headed gal is EXTREMELY RUDE and she wasn’t even the one “helping” me. The man that was helping had no clue what he was doing and told me they couldn’t package my painting because he couldn’t find the size dimensions on his laminated price sheet. I asked if they made there own boxes and that’s when the gal jumped down my throat to let me know “ the owner” is the only one who can do this and he would have to call me to see if he could even do it. Getting an estimate on anything is a challenge, for packing or shipping. They will tell you a price and then charge you premium price. The staff is not trained nor helpful.
I’ve dropped off many Amazon return items here. Staff has been nothing short of accommodating. Even during busy periods when there was a line out the door, they treated each of us with respect and ensured every package detail was addressed.
Can see why the have such a poor rating.Bottom shelf customer service.Asked for a simple piece of cardboard scrap for an overnight document shipment, so the labels I was shipping wouldnt fold. Nope, not a chance. Wouldnt even bother looking. Said they didnt have any. No cardboard in a UPS store.. ya right..
I know there are a lot of bad reviews for this store but I had no issues. I read my Amazon return requirements and had no issues on the return. 2 people were ahead of me and the guy working there was polite. I walked up, he asked what he could do for me and I gave him my phone scan code which he scanned and said I was good to go. Took less than a minute. 12/31/2020. Around 9:30 am.
Its a decent store if you want to ship something. But if you call and ask for help. Dont bother they are merely there to collect a check
This store does not provide a drop-off receipt for UPS packages, even when one is requested, as the store has created their own policy to save costs.I will choose somewhere else to drop off future packages, because if the package gets lost, there will be no proof that the package was ever dropped off!
They were unable to take my package as they are unable to place a pre-printed label on a box. After I went home, taped on my own label and came back, I placed the package on the scale. I waited and after a while, they asked what I need. I asked for a receipt that I dropped off this package. They said, we do not have a printer and chose not to be able to provide receipts for packages for our customers. I though I was in the twilight zone. Fed-ex, here I come.
People running this facility are rude, and need to take a course in customer service. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. Sad that they are the only facility around. I doubt they even care about these reviews because Im not the first or the only one to have problems with them. Ridiculous how slow they were too.
The culture of mutual respect between staff and customers is ingrained in this store. I have witnessed first hand the knowledgeable customer service provided by the staff and owners. Keep up the good work!
Went to this store #1889 on 10-12-20 and not one Employee was wearing any form of mask to prevent Covid spread furthermore there wasnt any form of hand sanitizer of general disinfecting products. On the UPS web site and in the owners own quote below 3 months ago they say they are being very careful to protect their self and visitors but i did see any form of that... Please have you facility stand by you words. Will be going to USPS until i see changes. Thanks(Response from the owner3 months agoIn the Covid pandemic we are being very careful to protect ourselves and our visitors from transmitting or contracting the disease. )
Fast and friendly
Employee at the store refused to provide a receipt. My package never made it to UPS. DO NOT USE THIS STORE.
Terrible customer service at this store today. Arrived 12:25 (store closes at 12:30), lady greeted us at the door with “This better be a drop off because we are closing”. All they needed to do was print 2 pre-paid labels (amazon returns). They were large packages and they didn’t know if they could take them, had to look up the max dimensions. Once they figured out that they could then labels were printed in a matter of seconds. The lady then told me to, “grab your phone because we are locking you out”. Told her thanks and as we were walking out she had to get the last word in by saying “yea thanks for waiting until the last minute.” We were out of the store by 12:32, and actually would have been out sooner if they knew what their max dimensions for shipment were (not my problem it took them awhile to look up their own policy). I have never been treated this poorly as a customer, anywhere.
I dropped off a package for a return and they forgot to scan it. They refused to even double check for the package.
Absolutely the worst Ive dealt with... Can you say reality called said put your big head back in the cage? Severely overcharged me... Are the prices set by the owners not a standardized amount?
I have never seen a owner so will to not do the right thing. I use ups stores all the time. This store owner has refused to accept packages the last to times from a corporate account be cause is is clueless as how to process the paper work. His responce is how Im I going to get paid, not how can I help the customer. I feel sorry for anyone in the Washington mo area that has to deal this this owner that the ONLY thing he cares about is getting his money not helping customers.Do yourself a favor use fedx!!
Reading the review responses here from the owner and having interacted with him once or twice, I guess I shouldnt be surprised, but I brought in a package with a prepaid label and they refused to give a drop off receipt, stating they do not give those at this location.UPS needs to start compensating these franchisees for prepaid labels because they treat you like you have the plague when you go in there with one, totally unacceptable.UPS needs to start treating these franchisees owners better or getting rid of them because its almost always an unpleasant interaction at all of the locations! I avoid them at all cost and use FedEx anytime I can, at least at fedex they usually act like real employees.UPDATE: This stores poor handling of issues has nothing to do with COVID-19. Also Green is great when it is a choice, but I did not choose it and require a receipt for which an email generated to the company that generated the label is of no use to me, I need the physical receipt.
The old hag with glasses is rude. That lady was no help and ignorant. Never had this much trouble at my local stores in COMO. Go to USPS.
Needed a menu printed and was not happy with our old printer. Bryan could not have been more helpful and Sherry was extremely pleasant. Printing came in on time and looked Awesome, plus the price was right. As a small business owner I need people I can count on and these guys are it. THANK YOU!!!
Second visit to the store, first was pleasant and great customer service. Owners were not present. Go ahead two days and owners and original worker present. Wanted to print some items from email to have motorized which I did at least once a month at my previous UPS store. Always played them for printing and notary (no appointment needed ). I made an appointment for between 10:45 and 11. Showed up in between those times. This store wont allow u to email them from my phone and print and instead charges .59 a min to do it from the stores computer. Says it has to do with viruses to his system. I am in IT and that is bogus, just a money grab. Went to office store to print for less than two dollars. Came back to get notary and was told I was late for my appointment and they were not gonna notarize my two items that would have taken 5 min. I see from comments this is how the choose to run the business and then bad mouth customers when they try to explain the customer service is horrible. Owners need to learn they only make money because of customers. I will look elsewhere for my office in a building needs.
The thought that a ups store in any city would be priced the same as another in the same region even would be a terrible assumption to make i have discovered. This store might as well be skimming your electronic payments and pilfering your packages while they are at it. To treat a retired ups employee as if they are a fool is a slap in the face to not only us but the corporation as a whole... UPS SHAME ON YOU FOR ALLOWING THIS STORE TO SHAME YOUR NAME
I just stopped in the The UPS Store l was getting some cards laminated and the manager was helping me and he was so friendly and polite. He did my cards very good . The staff was friendly and very helpful to others in the store. I will go there for now on and l will tell other people to go there.
Had to have a package sent here because it required signature at drop off and I wasn’t going to be home. UPS will take it straight to you door for no fee but have to pick it up instead it’ll cost you $15. Luckily, the company I purchased from was willing to reimburse me for this fee, so long as I had a receipt. Well the lady they had working that day- she was as sweet as can be- but had no clue how to use the register, so I received a receipt that didn’t actually say what I had paid for.Went back to drop off a package for returns and they refuse to give me a receipt as proof I’d dropped it off. There is literally no reason they shouldn’t be able to give me a receipt, considering they are a UPS STORE and places that just have drop-offs are able to give me a receipt.I think next time I’ll just risk not being home to sign.
I had a great experience at this store. The second I walked through the door I was greeted by a smiling young brunette girl. I had a few glasses that needed to be packed and shipped out. She took great care of the items. I watched as she carefully moved them to the scale to weigh them. I could tell she wanted no harm to come to my glasses. She also made conversation with me about the glasses. The service was great! The package has arrived exactly where it needed to go, and my family even complimented the packing job on it!As for the other reviews, I would give this store a chance for yourself. For starters, anybody who ships anything knows that nobody gives out free tape. FedEx doesn’t, and neither does USPS. (Atleast in my experiences). Second of all, I received outstanding service! Thank you to this UPS Store.
Brought Amazon order to be returned. I came in with my hand sanitizer and had my mask on. The two workers in the store didnt have mask on. In order to return items scan code had to come off my phone. She scanned and got all done but two. I was trying to find the correct code for her. She stepped away from the counter and then about 12 to 15 ft from me. A man came up front with no mask on to step away from the counter because he didnt want me making them sick. I told him that i worked need to be closer so my phone could be scanned. He tells me that it can be scanned from back there. So I find one. When she tries to scan it guess what I had ri conver closer like before. While she is waiting on me another man comes in. He walks to the counter and stands as close as I was at first and the guys waits on him and not once asked him to move away from the counter. As I said I was the only one who had a mask on. Then to top it all off. I get home and my daughter in law said I shouldnt had to figure out which dress when to which scan. That was the worker job all I do is give then the items. She could have scan the bar code and I went on my way. I wont be back to your place of business and I will pass my dissatisfaction on to other people. Bad customer service. I started reading various comments and the owners comments back. When are running a business, do you realize that your customers are the ones who keep you in business. When you piss one customer they gonna tell more people. If by chance they do try you and they get the same poor service they gonna tell more people. Eventually you will have no customers which mean no business. Take you downfalls and improve the service next time as for me I wont be back and Im definitely telling people. No one deserves to be treated like that. Im done won not be reading your comment back to me cause Im sure yout will have one. SAD JUST SAD.
We arrived 30 minutes before closing on Saturday and were told we had to set up an appointment for a simple Notary action. They said that they had numerous restrictions, scheduling limits, FedEx packages to unload, etc. We went to the Bank of Washington and got it done in less than 5 minutes. I will never use this location. Where is the customer service???
Atrocious experience. Avoid this UPS store at all costs - FedEx and USPS are likely cheaper, or just go to a different UPS store.
I should have read the reviews before I went into the store. Big Mistake! Very rude! As you can tell by reading their response to the reviews that they do not think they are in the wrong! WELL IT IS NOT OK TO BE RUDE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! Here is a lesson in business 101- Give the customer what they want when they want it, be polite and treat your customers the way you would want to be treated! There is definitely an issue when the ratings that have 1 star out weigh the rest of the reviews! I am sorry I don’t know Katelyn so I can’t tell her hi for you!
Make sure you dont need anything when you go to this store because when I recently went there to ship a package and needed a small piece of tape, I was told that tape was $4.34/roll.I emailed UPS customer service and informed them of my experience, and their reply was that each of the stores are individually owned and that they could not control how they treat customers.I drive past several UPS stores in my way to work and will use one of them instead in the future, unless they want to charge me for a piece of tape.I do not recommend this store.Voting with my wallet and my feet and will not spend money or go back to this store for future shipping needs.
Store #1889 Washington MO. I dont know if they try to disappoint customers rudely or if they are naturals at it. new employees seem to be nicer than others and I think their hands are tied by the owners. My complaint is they lie about services and what they can and cannot do - they make excuses for cutting cost stating UPS doesnt allow us -- or thats against policy or Amazon wont allow us. If you are returning an Amazon item - they are to pack it and ship it for you - Amazon pays them to do this and they are to give you a shipping receipt. They will lie to you and say the product has to be packed and taped and cannot print a receipt (guess what - the store in Eureka has no problem and even boast about doing it for you). The environment of this store is just negative -You can drop off at Michaels in town - the UPS shipping center in Union is a great place - go out of town to another UPS store - use FEDEX and go to Office Depot - plenty of other options. Just know that if you go to UPS Store 1889 you will be met with poor customer service, excuses, lies and the list goes on.
Owner just ran me out of store because I needed to have an idea of cost. She had none of the materials required to ship my painting even though the fellow on the phone assured me they would. The owner needs to calm down and really be of service to customers.Whole experience sucked!Run, go anywhere’s else!!!
I had a small Amazon package I left open in case they needed to put something in it. They would not put tape on it. I needed to purchase tape. What ever happened to customer service?!
Professional, helpful, courteous. Helped me to accomplish a project which will help to grow our business. Great thanks to Bryan, Sherry and Danielle.
Wouldnt recommend this UPS store. They didnt seem to be understaffed, just busy. I went to drop off a package and they couldnt give me a receipt or any confirmation that I actually dropped off the package. The guy I was talking with was very unprofessional and rude, then he told me he was the owner. Not a great way to conduct business. I would recommend going to USPS or FedEx, instead of using this particular UPS store.
I dont usually write bad reviews, but as christmas is quickly approaching I feel it important to share my experience Today at this particular UPS store. I needed to return a tv to the manufacturer. I hadnt printed the label but I did have the tracking number and a link to the label. They said they couldnt print it and gave me two different stories about why they couldnt. After a drawn out tedious but polite conversation I was told they couldnt help me print, package or ship the tv. I had to take my tv and leave to get my problem solved elsewhere. I was floored and so upset I wanted to cry after all the trouble I had gone to to get the manufacturer to even take it back. so take the negative reviews seriously. if you have special shipping needs dont go to this store. drive to a different location or ship your items through good old usps.
Place was clean. The women at counter nice, helpful. Needed Notary, waited 25 min for him to arrive . He was nice enough at first but before we could get paper work done he started on on a political rant about how the #metoo movement was a joke, and boys and men are no longer safe. That they should wear straight jackets to the prom.
Really bad customer service! Dont waste your time.
Service is terrible. Tried to rip me off on tape. Walked out. Notice how their ratings are low and they argue with every review? Shows what kind of people they are.Response to owner response: I went into the UPS store at Eureka Pointe today - they had no issues providing tape, and in fact said that since people can drop off things at a UPS store now without a box, that theres provided materials. Lying to cover your terrible service wont work.
I recently went to the UPS store in Washington MO to drop off two packages . The company that I was returning these packages to had only sent me one return label. I do not return very many items and was not aware that I needed two labels, one for each package. Ok now while Im in the store I call the company that will receive these packages to email me an additional shipping label. I get it right away. Now I ask one of the three people working at the UPS store if he could now print off the label needed to my second package shipped . He told me he could not do that . His words were I do not have time to print off labels for everybody that walks in this place. So I asked really you dont have time. Now mind you there were three people working there at the time and I was the only customer in there at that point. He then said you can rent the PC over in the corner for .58 cents a minute. Now here is a PC that I have never seen plus I will be honest that Im not all that good on computers. You do the math. Im not sure what this one shipping label would have cost me to print off in a UPS store, for UPS, to ship a package through UPS . Now thats a mouth full. So now I asked where is your customer service. Because so far I have not seen any. I tell the guy at the store just give me my package back, I will find another store. He brought the package back and then he said, here you go BOSS. Now Im getting pissed. I drove 23 miles to this store. I tell him thanks for your help. Good service. So now Im walking out with the last package and the lady at the door says what kind of service do you expect. Wow the whole place is on the same page there. I would like to give this store NO stars, but one is the lowest that the review will allow. I recommend that if UPS wants to be the toughest ship in the shipping business they take a hard look at their store in Washington MO. I do not see myself going there again. I will have to drive 46 miles now. Maybe this store has employees that take care of their customers. Duane H.
They take real good care of their customers. Im very happy with all they do for me.
If I could give zero stars for not opening when supposed to open.
Ive been there several times and never had anything but great service. They are quick to come to counter, fast with their service, etc. Im going there tomorrow to ship something out and expect the same performance Ive had several times before.
On Google it says its open on Saturday, it is not!
Not good, thats all.#sad
Arrived at this UPS Store at 12:30 they were already closed the lady inside would not help me because by the time she got to the front door it was 12:32Horrible customer service apparently this franchise owner doesnt care about the customers
Every, I mean Everything I order and is delivered to me is damaged boxes. If I didnt know better, I would swear they just rip, punch, tear and jump up and down on all of My deliveries. Tcs, smashed screen, expresso machine, crumpled box with two holes, Infrared heater, two large gouges in box. Car side view mirror, gigantic holes with mirror hanging outside of box. Can never catch delivery man. He drops products at door and takes off. Never even knocks. Live rural. What can be done? So, so unfair. I wonder how they would feel if this was a regular occurring nightmare for them. I wish this upon my ups driver. I hope he gets a piece of the Hell they are putting is through out here. Inconsiderate, incompetent, unprofessional jerks.
I was in and out in less than 3 min. The staff was very friendly.
Brian was incredibly inappropriate, rude, and ignorant. When I tried to question him about a delivery, he hung up on me! I am shocked UPS tolerates such behavior. I suppose he was not qualified to work anywhere else!!!
Deceptive, dishonest and rude. Make sure you don’t work with Brian. He over-billed me AND completely dropped the ball. As a result, I caught hell from my customers and was not refunded the $65 that my receipt clearly says was for next day air.
Nice people, good service.
Well apparently so busy they can notarize three some documents. We were the only ones in the store!!!! Stear clear of this place
The worst UPS store experience I have had. The staff told me I needed to buy tape for a package and then told me they could not tape it up. The only UPS store that can only ship packages and nothing else.
Employees were nice
No significant matters.
