I can only speculate on how the service was inside. I was too unclean to enter their temple. The rent-a-cop shoved a mask in my face without saying much and I said I wasnt into that. He fired up thoes braincells and muttered that I had to. So I went to AT&T. No issues there. Real classy GCI. No personal beef with the rent-a-cop though. Even the Schutzstaffel were just average people doing their job. Id consider such a comparison dramatic if it were an isolated incident. I get it though. Party loyalty must be demonstrated.
I wish business were forced to be honest. I am tired of extremely limited actual service for home and away. Most of the time theres no phone, texting, or internet. Calling customer service was over 200 people in front of me every time!!! After waiting for hours to get either tech help or what ever help for the issue, it comes down to businesses uses excuse after excuse for explaining how long I wont have service for. Its been six months and no improvement. I have been paying$237.00 a month for hardly any service. Because of a 2 year contract, I cant hope for better service. Going in the store is the best option for customer service, but they can only help with allowing you to use their internet in their store. They promise it will be better when the five g towers are installed, but I feel like a refund for 80 percent of total cost would be the honest approach.

Ive been using GCI for a long time, and what I will say is they are better than ACS or MTC, but be careful if youre getting a lifeline phone or a new phone right now because I bought one and it was refurbished not new and Ive been having some problems with it.
Do not suggest, bad customer service, rude employees.Went here yesterday with my friend and her mother. ( 7/18/21) the store was completely empty, the employee who helped us, Scott, was very rude and the other employee was on her phone the whole time. My friends mom was asking questions about getting a new phone because hers was old and she just wanted to understand how to use it properly and how to switch over the information from her old phone. Scott kept saying things like “ ma’am i can’t help you all day, there are other customers. “The store was empty and we had only been there for maybe 10 minutes as he was saying this. He kept telling her to calm down( she was just talking about the fact that she’s glad to get a new phone) and he kept pushing her to purchase things that she stated she didn’t want to purchase. Scott then proceeded to be rude, and continued to talk down to them as if they were stupid, and kept giving up on helping her buy a new phone. It’s their job to help customers buy things and answer questions they have about the products. Why talk down when they’re simple questions.
Do not go with these guys. Mta found out why my Internet was not working faster then they could 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and now gci wont even come out and fix their mess up. They disconnected my internet when they were locating the line for mta so mta would dig it up and the didnt hook it back up after the did so for mta and now I still have no Internet. But they are telling me they are to busy to come fix what the messed up. Great company you have here 🙃🤣
Fast, efficient service. Got my cable Internet moved to my new address. Took 10 min to do what would have taken 3+ hrs on the phone. Btw, selection of new phones at this store is limited to Samsung Android and Apple iOS phones ONLY (pass on both).
Scott K. Was awesome, patient and knowledgeable. Loved his customer service. We just switched to GCI from Verizon because we needed internet at the apartment, and are getting a great combined deal now for phone and internet. The added bonus? Used to be lucky to have two service bars while sitting on my couch. Now its four.

I’d give a zero if they would let me, they won’t answer phones, and they haven’t let me in a building to deal with the issues in person in over a year, I medically can’t wear masks and even with a dr note denied me access to customer service. All I want now is to be able to close my account..

Inquired about my bill, in June, I was told that my bill was paid up into mid August and a couple of days ago, I received a text message stating that gci was missing my payment and since it was still July, wondered why it wasmissing. I understood that I had a payment due in August just fine but never got an answer on why July had me receiving text notifications for past due. I let it go because of the frustrating distance from the person who was assisting me, it just felt tougher to actually explain what I was trying to get the answer about.

Not the worst customer service Ive had, but that doesnt mean its anywhere near good. My main issue is with the company itself and how they seem to enjoy ripping people off. Switched to Cricket and have been much happier!

I am so grateful for the lifeline program that gives low income individuals the opportunity to have a phone every month 😊I pay $6 a month and I have 4GB of data on the 10th of every month. The best part about it is I even have a smart phone not a button phone. Awe, too good too be true I tell ya what.
Find a new cell service. This one has unlimited nothing it slows to daily up speed after a lil while
Great service! When youre paying through the nose for cell service, you may expect that the company would care about satisfaction, and the people at this store absolutely do. Everyone is so courteous and motivated to make your visit a pleasant experience. Maybe they know that we hate having to go in there, so they throw in some compassionate care with taking care of business.
These people are HORRIBLE and have the worst service I have ever experienced!! They are out right rude and foul over the phone!
Getting tired of sitting on hold for hour
We had been faithful GCI customers ever since GCI bought out ACS, and before that, we were faithful ACS customers ever since ACS bought out the company we first started with some 15+ years ago...All that ended when I went to buy my wife a new phone for a birthday present at the Wasilla branch a couple days ago and was refused in store service because we dont wear masks. My only option was to call it in and wait for them to mail everything out. If GCI wants to discriminate based on the personal convictions and/or medical/health concerns of their clientele, I guess thats their right, but I cant afford to do business with a company where I cant get service when I need it without sacrificing my ability to live and breathe freely as God intended.My own personal beliefs on the irrationality of some of the steps being taken aside, I am exceedingly disappointed in GCIs FULLY VOLUNTARY mask restrictions, Im disgusted by their refusal to recognize anyones personal reasons for not wearing a mask, and Im really disturbed by the fact theyve opted to invest in a SECURITY GUARD greeter instead of in a way to help people outside or at the door as so many other companies have.After many years of faithful patronage we made the tough decision to take our business elsewhere.

Very quick to resolve a billing issue. I have never had to wait long, though that could be my timing. Helpful people but you should do your own product research if purchasing anything like phones and tablets.

I go for turbozone internet usually. Because its fast. The whole reason Im with GCI is because of their customer service. You called their number and speak to a person right away. At all the other carriers their main goal is to prevent you from speaking with somebody. Call GCI and you select either tech support or customer service, and no matter which one you chose youre going to get an Alaskan on the phone right after that

The new store layout is very confusing. Why would the copy their competitors layout. Doesnt seem very GCI any more. Entrance has slight ramp causing tripping and says EXIT on the enter side. Why dont they copy their competitors and put in an self serve pay station???

Update- 2019- we signed up for cable in July and we’ve had nothing but issues ever cents they came out in July and August having to reset and connect the cable box to the Internet and after they leave two weeks later after what they had loaded up the menu your menu guide would disappear your on-demand would disappear. I called the tech-support in September with the same complaint as the previous two months. now the previous times I called everybody was wonderful on the phone they were patient they troubleshoot it with me they made the appointment. But this call I made in September… He was so rude and unhelpful he told me that they would not come out for a third time that this is not their issue and that it was an Internet issue which we have through MTA by the way. Because it’s cheaper and better. He said 3 to 4 times during a conversation that there was nothing he could do and that I should get the GCI Wi-Fi I felt like he was a salesman instead of the tech support. I was frustrated I voiced my concerns and the conversation went no where. I called MTA told them the whole issue they sent somebody out even though when we troubleshoot it my signal was great they drilled a hole in the floor dropped an ethernet cord down plugged it into the cable box and directly into the router so we didn’t have to worry about the Wi-Fi signal anymore.Or so I thought. This is not an MTA Wi-Fi issue this is a GCI cable issue that I felt has been left unresolved. We have been without cable for over 45 days yet they still bill us I am actively looking on the Internet for alternatives.I hope that they see this report and somebody higher up reaches out to fix this because prior to the last four months We have been happy with our services at GCI my previous review was over two years ago and I gave it five stars maybe they’re under different management and that’s the issue.2017- so friendly n helpful. under 10 min wait
