I called AAA a couple of days ago and when I saw it was Durable answering the tow call I became anxious. Id dealt with them several times in the past (various vehicles) and it wasnt a good experience. When the driver arrived, I held my breath waiting for the drama to begin. Instead I met Bernie. He went above and beyond, trying to figure out why my trailblazer gave up on me. He is a married man with a family and it shows, he didnt just drop my vehicle at the first empty spot and leave. He told me he was the first on shift that night and I was the first call at that. I was beyond stressed, because my vehicle was half in and out the lane and the cops were already being Jerks. I couldnt have asked for a better person to answer my call. He told me he figured the fuel pump went ( I heard the clicking days before and didnt make the connection- go figure). He definitely deserves a raise or promotion. He is a wonderful representation of the new ownership at Durable. Thankyou again Bernie, for making sure not only my vehicle was left in a safe place but that I got home too. All the best to the Mrs. Shes doing it right!!!!!

Bernie was the driver I believe maybe Ernie but he helped me with my Hyundai tow ans this guy went so far above And beyond what he was required - he was amazing, wonderful man., wouldn’t not rest Unit I was taken care of and believe me we kept having issues after issues — this dude needs a promotion a raise and ans or to train other tow guys the right way to perform customers device he was absolutely a pleasure and really helped me they a tough situation — ans for nothing but his own time— I’d u need a tow — call these fGuys and ask specifically for Bernie!

I had what appeared to be a minor fender bender, with an iron fence, on a dark, rainy night. The fence wasn’t even scratched, but it looked like someone had taken a can opener to my right front fender. GEICO, my insurer, directed me to this shop. The shop arranged for me to drop off my car at my convenience, arranged to have a rental car waiting for me when I arrived, and had my car ready for pick-up a day ahead of schedule! They provided regular updates on the progress of the repairs, and did outstanding repair work. My car was better than new! Should the need arise again - and I hope it won’t - I would definitely return to Durable Radiator & Auto Body, Inc., and I will definitely recommend them to others. Their staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and their bodywork is outstanding!

Went to Durable on a recommendation, after my car was hit from behind. I am happy I too the recommendation, for these people did not disappoint. From start to finish. I was updated daily on my my vehicles process as they were clear on what the process was. I didnt have to do anything but drop my car off, oh i didnt mention that they have their very own Enterprise car rental franchise on the premises. I just picked up my 2006 Chrysler 300 after only 1 week of body shop servicing and I cannot be happier with the result! Unfortunately.... I cant say the same for the auto shop. Before I came to pick it up I was told that the car had a battery/alternator issue and that I should put in a new battery first before I check the alternator. I knew my battery was kind of on the older side so I spent $182 for a new battery. Come to find out, their tests showed that my problem was actually with the alternator and not entirely the battery. To fix the alternator Id have to spend upwards of $1,000 worst case scenario. All they could tell me was that The car wont make it to the end of this street in its condition and that I had no choice. Well, I dont have an extra grand lying around.. So I took my chances and drove it home. I figured that before hand I never had a problem, and it even has a new battery in it now. So 20 minutes and 12 miles later, I made it home safely without a problem! No lights, no sounds, absolutely zero problems! To be sure, I waited about an hour and started the car back up and it runs perfectly fine, and even drives better than I remember it driving before I had the bodywork on it. Granted, I know sometime in the near future Ill need to have the alternator repaired. Bottom line: The body shop did an amazing job, and Id give them 10 out of 5 stars if I could. However, Id give the autoshop a 1 out of 5 simply because they made it sound like such a dramatic situation when in reality, it never was, and the car still runs fine. All in all I give them 4 out of 5 mostly because of this amazing bodywork. Nice job!

From the moment we first connected it was professional and seamless! They treated us like royalty and did an excellent and quick repair to our Nissan Frontier. The face that they are a Geico preferred repair shop made it even that much better! Everything was taken care if for us - from the rental car to the insurance claim - they surpassed all expectations! Dave ( owner ) and his staff provided me the best service experience Ive ever received, from any service company. My truck that was hit with only 1k on the odometer means the world to me. My truck was repaired and refinished to the highest standards, MINE. If I cant find a flaw on my own vehicle, trust you can send your car or truck to Durable, they will exceed your expectations. On a scale of 1-10, Durable goes to 11. Many thanks to Dave and his staff. Id also like to thank the adjuster from Geico who also made that side of the process, painless.

Recommended by my car insurance Geico. Customer service very polite and professional from start to finish. I was told they received the wrong bumper twice, hence it took a little longer than estimated. But at the end the car came out like brand new. Very happy about that.

This is my second time at Durable for body damage. I came back a second time because they did a wonderful job the first time. I’m really leaving this review because their customer service is amazing. They were extremely patient with me as I waited 3 MONTHS to receive a check to cover the repairs to my vehicle. They called to check up and remind me I had contacted them, because it had been so long, but they never made me feel badly about anything. (Even though I did anyway because it shouldn’t have taken that long to begin with). Once they got my car in, the bumper repairs only took 2 days even though they originally told me it would take 4 and that was after they found additional damage internally and still had to order more parts to fix it.I absolutely recommend them for body repairs! Everyone I dealt with over the phone or in person was very professional, understanding and kind. Please consider them next time you have body damage.

My truck is on 33s, and it is very difficult to find a place that can switch out the tires without damaging my wheels. They did an amazing job. Not a single scratch on any of my wheels! The poor technician was sweating like crazy (it’s 97 degrees out today) but he managed them and quickly too! The staff were all very polite and friendly to me, and I will definitely be back for my next set of tires. It’s hard to find a quality place to do work these days.My tires are Crosswind 33x12.50R20 10 ply mud terrain tires and I have moto metal wheels. Not an easy job at all!

Did a phenomenal job patching up my car ahead of schedule after a fender bender. Their a geico trusted work facility and the reason why shows. They do quality work and are extremely sociable. Car came back better than the accident. It was magical!

Do not go here they will rip you off and take advantage of you. They charged me an arm and a leg and would not let AAA tow my car to my own house! They are in cahoots and do not care about anything but money. Right after getting my car the muffler was hanging off. Go to any other repair shop. Dont give these con artists any more business they dont deserve it.

I was referred to Durable by Geico. I was hesitant at first because it was not my insurance company handling the repairs. I was immediately welcomed & the front desk representative expressed her true concern for my accident and recognized the imposition it had caused. They were quick to write up the estimate, arranged a rental car for me and sent me text alerts throughout the entire process. I was very impressed with the customer service & strongly recommend this company for auto repairs and service

The driver of tow company decided to rummage through the glove insisting that the vehicle wasnt registered even though my tags are up to date. The driver and dispatch was rude, complained to Bob Russo and he lied to AAA to try to cause me problems, even tried to say there wasnt a plate on the truck. Call someone else, dont let AAA give you this company.

This is my second time dealing with Durable through AAA, and my experience this time is as good if not better than the last time a couple of years ago. Eric is extremely friendly and considerate, and while Im not happy that Im putting in a new alternator exactly one year after I paid Meineke of Waterbury $600 to drop a new one in, Im positive that my alternator was dead so no surprise there. I just wish that, a year ago, Id gone straight to Durable instead of Meineke: they warranty the part for 12 months whereas Meineke, when I asked, they haltingly said about a year. Unfortunately I dont have that in writing, and Id never go back there, anyway: lesson learned.From now on Im taking my vehicles to Durable because trust is everything to me, and Durable has a proven record of trustworthy service. Im a AAA member and I had an amazing experience this week with Durable. I live 2 hours away in NY and I called the same day to see if by any chance they could do a quick look over of a used car I was thinking of buying from a dealer. They not only got me right in at the time I asked for, but did a full inspection, put it up on the lift to check the undercarriage, and hooked it up to the diagnostic scanner as well. Ended up saving me from spending all my savings on a car that looked great but they found actually needed a ton of work. And they did it all for free! Such a great help and a relief!! Im so grateful!

Reasonable rates but some of the drivers really mishandle your vehicle if you use AAA. Wait time is also very long unless you pay cash. 1000x better than the wtby towing & recovery crooks.

I had a tire blow out on my way home from Boston to Pennsylvania, it was pouring rain and I found I didnt have a spare. Luckily Ben at Durable and the rest of the team were able to offer incredible service even late at night. The situation was incredibly stressful for my family but this piece to the puzzle went incredibly smoothe, that is something I will always be grateful for years down the line when I look back on this trip. Thanks Durable, for doing the right thing!

How the hell does this business have such good reviews?! Not only did they f#*% up my car so bad that I had to bring it to another auto body place but the owner is beyond rude and unprofessional. Please save yourself the headache and find another reputable place to take your business.

ZERO STARS, these people are crooks. I bought them the heater core from my old Toyota. Its no longer available so I asked for the full rebuild. A full check, pressure test and flush at least. Also asked them to solder a gasket connection for reliability. I picked it up and paid $120. They didnt recore it, they said it was fine. That they had pressure tested,flushed and soldered it. And I was ready to go. I got it home and looked closer at the sloppy soldering job and a bunch of rusty water came out. It was never flushed at all. Really the whole reason I brought it down. I decided to pressure test it myself, it turned out ok. I complained 3 times and was refunded $25 of my $125. I reinstalled and the heat worked fine. 2 weeks later and the thing is leaking into the floor mat again. So now Im in for 10+ hrs of dash removal and installation, plus the the cost of another core because they are lazy and dont take the small jobs seriously. So I paid 125 for some guy to sweat a dirty pipe while he smoked a cigarette. Thanks guys!

Car broke down and I had a truck to me in 20 minutes. Driver, I think his name was Dan, was very helpful in figuring out what was wrong with my car and he was an excellent driver. I havent had any towing experiences that were better!

Worst experience I ever had i brought my car in because it was damaged due to an accident not to major. When I go back to pick my car up. I had all scratches on all four windows of my car. Spoke to the manager David Geremia. He is a really rude sarcastic person. I don’t advise anyone going there

OK short and to the point. I ran over a huge branch and when my car would not start and was towed to durable they replaced the battery and told me it had nothing to do with hitting the branch. This caused further damage to my car and getting stuck again on Tues and wed and having the car towed back to durable on thurs. Now they see a problem. The engine now needs to be replaced. But I have a new battery! By the way durables reviews (at least 3 of them) are from Durable employees and one from the wife of an employee. Also reviews are nonspecific vague and many are related to tows and tires purchased.

My car caught on fire on 84 in Waterbury. A state trooper escorted me off the closest exit so I could call for a tow truck... I was devastated...I was on the verge of crying when the tow truck arrived to assist me with getting to South Windsor. To top everything off, this was all happening during rush hour. Not only did he arrive quickly, (approximately 15 minutes) but the driver was pleasant and made the ride back to South Windsor enjoyable.By the time we arrived at my destination I was laughing and not feeling as terrible about my car breaking down. He made my horrible day not seem so bad. I could have given him a huge kiss for saving the day but, I kept it PG and sent him a mental hug instead.

Came here to get a quote to repair my bumper but the owner and manger was a complete jerk and paid no mind to me or my business and took over a week to respond to my emails with an gave me an attitude when I questioned some pricing. Stay FAR FAR away from here look elsewhere.

First off the drive was nice and had nothing to do with my issue. We were driving home and he realized that the gear to lift and drop your car wasnt working so when we FINALLY got home after waiting over an hour for them, we got back to my house and long behold the flat bed was broke and wouldnt go down So he looks under the hood and had a blown fuse and this is the second time that is happend to this guy.... ON his second day for this company.... Soo Ill stop rambling we get to my house an hes asking me for tools and extra fuses and of course they got paid already. So I call there office and was like since he used my tools and TOOk my fuse I asked if I could get 10-20$ back for a discount... The manager then says to me no cant you help someone in need .... uhmm... I believe I was just in need and I still got charged. So this is a fair warning dont use this company theylll tell you 30-45 min then show up 1 1/2 hours later with a broken truck know less... FAIRWARNING
