Really great place to have breakfest. The place is small but worth trying their food . The food is very consistent so you know you getting a tasty plate. We moved here from New York and were looking for that favorite place and I think we found it. ❤👍

If you want quick, delicious, classic luncheonette fare with excellent service, dont skip East Gate. Never had a bad plate. Weekend mornings get busy after 930am.

Prices are very reasonable and breakfast came out quick. Moved to area from NY about 10 months ago and have quickly made this my once a week breakfast spot. Eggs are always cooked perfectly. Bacon was thick. I will return

I had a great experience here. Rosey was my server and was fantastic. This is one of those hidden gem hole in the wall breakfast /lunch places that you should try if your in the area. Very affordable, super friendly staff, cozy, and clean. The owner is from Italy and is very friendly.

As always.... excellent customer service from staff. Even on busy, busy weekends with the place packed and its standing room only .... The ladies have their excellent customer service game face on and tables are cleaned and bussed immediately by a friendly short clean cut, dark haired gentleman. The waitress we had the previous visit even remembered to inquire if I got the job I had interviewed for the last time she waited on Bill and I. I told her I did, and she SINCERELY congratulated me! On Sunday, 4/14/19 around 11am or so Bill and I visited. Our order was taken correctly, food brought shortly thereafter, food was GOOD, and we were checked on often. Ive been coming here for years. I love the owner Jerry and his wife very humble people. As of lately the new waitresses have been horrible though. We had Katie as a waitress her service was terrible so full of attitude and not very friendly so fake. I still will come back but hopefully wont get her!

The atmosphere is nothing special, but their breakfast is good for the price and can be as cheap as $3.50 a person, which is reasonable for the area. It has been a known staple in the area for more than 20 years, which should be an inidication of their business. Just be mindful of the time you go on the weekends, because on weekends, between 9am and 10am, you could be in for a wait.

Awesome is the first word that comes to mind after finishing up a GREAT meal at this gem of a restaurant. I found this place by asking another shop owner in the plaza for a recommendation for a quick lunch. I ordered the pattymelt deluxe and was it good loaded with fresh grilled onions bacon and lots of American cheese. My nephew who dined with me had 2 eggs toast and homefries all for under $5.00. I will definitely make the drive back to Waterbury just for another meal from here. Oh did I forget how fast the service was. We had drinks within 2 minutes of sitting down and the food was to our table within 5 minutes of ordering. Again this is a great place for an unbelievable price.
