I really like this grocery store. It always has whats on sale. The meat Dept. Is always well stocked and the prices are reasonable. They have added to the produce section with fresh fruits and vegetables. I plan to shop here at least once a week.

Store needs carts, but save a lot has hand basket now I find very helpful. Staff is always kind so GREAT JOB to them

What can i say about Save a lot well for 1 it was unorganized and if only they had 3 or more registers open people would be out the door.

Store not clean..wont shop again

Decided to shop here on Sunday morning since the stores in the same plaza as Save A Lot didnt open until 10AM. Place was fairly clean but I was disappointed in prices. Prices are a huge driver for grocery store shopping. I didnt find much that I couldnt get at a Aldis or Walmart for less. The best pricing they had was on the meat and poultry per lb. The rest wasnt going to save me lot. I will say that I like their options of Spanish food in the frozen section which is why I give them more than 2 stars.

My constitutional right to buy essential goods were violated by this particular store in Waterbury CT on union ave. They then tried to extort me into buying there overpriced mask. This is not a corporate policy and I will have a good lawyer look into this matter. Don’t go here if u don’t want your constitutional right To buy essential goods violated buy this corporation.

Wow. I just went to save a lot by the mall and the said I couldn’t by my kids some milk, juice, and water because I didn’t have a mask. Then I was basically forced into spending money I didn’t have on a mask. I was then turned away and had to drive to a store that respects people constitutional right to buy essential goods for his family. I feel absolutely violated and discriminated against. I’ll never go to save a lot again in my life!!

This is a store set up like an Aldis. Good for vegatbles, canned goods, breads, snacks,and eggs and milk.

Great low prices. Ample parking. Next to restaurants and shopping stores.

I just moved to Waterbury and I was happy to see the city has a save a lot. The options were great, as some stores are limited. It was also very clean, organized and produce was fresh. The gentleman at the register was so sweet. I wish I remembered his name but all I can add was he had a bit of an adorable southern accent. 😊😊😊

I would recommend looking at the meat thoroughly before purchasing it someone posted a picture on fb there was maggots in the chicken i never get the meat but I do have a positive opinion of their produce and other things

Nobody there acknowledged me when walking in even though I passed by 2 people stocking produce and a 3rd watching them. No one is following the “Would I Buy It” model as the tomatoes in the front were all bruised and mushy. The meats along the back wall are not stacked properly and are out of cold chain and discolored. Store itself is dirty and disorganized. OSHA violation, powered pallet jack with empty pallet on the floor and key still on the jack. Not a good look whether it’s discounted or not. Not sure what the Store or District Manager are doing but regardless of it being in Waterbury, they need to show better attention and take proper care.

This place always has a line because they only have 1 cashier. The produce isnt fresh and some of them have mold on it. Only good thing here is the milk but beware of the expiratory date

The Waterbury save a lot the people here are friendly kind and be willing to help you including the security guy we like our security guard because he was an ex-police officer and hes a real nice guy he helps people when you when you cant reach something he also will get a get someone to if they need you need to stock from the back I think the manager should keep him on because he is a good hes a good security guard I mean like him cuz he also treat us with dignity honor and respect

With everything thats going to in the world today, people just dont know how to act like adults. Even the people at work. Help your fellow man if he need help at the register.

Decent prices/fair selection of meat

Fresh tomatoes had mold growing on them. Yogurts were expired by a week. Meat was starting to turn color from being bad. Some milk was going sour and few were outdated. Maybe a call to the health department will be in order. Check all the dates in that store. Never going back there ..

Mid size supermarket its part of brass Hil mall I miss the low carb 🍇 but it so so lol need a bigger organic section

Its convenient to go to the grocery store because Im on the bus line. One thing I dont like about this grocery store is that their carts are all broken or they lock the wheels on purpose and people fight over cards to get into this grocery store

Save a lot has improved somewhat in appearance and professionalism so Ill continue to shop there and I recommend people give save a lot your business.

They have good name brand products, most of the stuff is cheap and they have most of the things you need. I recommend going there for a fast cheap shopping for your food and household things

Most of the time the produce is rotten, soft, and mushy. The store is dirty, but then again it is in Waterbury so its to be expected I guess. One of the worst Ive been to. The Hamden, CT location isnt any better unfortunately.

This place was disappointing. Only 1 cashier and the card system shut down.

Ghetto staff, rude and unattentive. The guy riming me out did not greet me. Then he proceeded to have a conversation with the other cashier about the Muary show. Then after I swiped my card he turns and says you need to swipe your card...I say I did swipe my card, this fool looks at his screen and goes oh keeps having his conversation with the other cashier, hands me my receipt from behind him while continued his conversation. Unprofessional and ignorant. Never again.
