Local grocery store with a good selection of options including grab and go lunches. A good option if you are trying to not shop at large chain stores.

I like to go down there and check out their meat selection. Its very high quality. I think they buy from local farms.

This is where I do all of my grocery shopping! They always have a great selection, at fair prices, and the location is perfect. The staff are always friendly and helpful and if they dont have something you want, they will do their best to get it ordered for you. Love this store!

It’s a nice little grocery store very convenient located in Waterbury downtown. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The products are very high quality my favorite are the produce, meat and dairy section.

Not bad, produce can be iffy and sometimes the shelves are not stalked, but could be due to covid. Some of the staff are great thou and go above and beyond

Nice selections, clean store, little pricey

Nice grocery store, impressive selection. Had a free sample of cotton candy grapes which Id never seen before. Sure enough, they tasted like cotton candy! Had to buy a bag, they were that good.

Village market is the best grocery store in the Waterbury area. The selection of local quality goods is quite amazing and the prices are reasonable. The beer selection has a nice local variety which is a big plus. The staff is very friendly and provides any help if you just ask. Every time I go there I find new products to try to cooks with which makes cooking an enjoyment again.

Prices are q little higher than a chain grocery store, but better quality products. I love their bulk section and little mini carts for my daughter to push all her goodies in.

Many issues with this business. For starters; Very poor service. Run by delinquent teenagers. Discriminatory staff members refusing sales to those with disabilities. Will be contacting legal authorities. The produce is not kept up with and consistently contains mold. Sanitation of self serve areas is non existent, cross contamination is a severe problem that can lead to severe health hazards. Store products are not well maintained. Damaged and or dust covered. Will not be returning.

You would think, living in a small town and with the name VILLAGE (even smaller than a small town) MARKET, that there would be little more than what a convenience store might carry. But WOW! You would be so wrong! This Market has a wonderful selection... actually, its got more than the bigger stores have! Really, I checked...lol, they really do. It is just one pleasant surprise after another in this store! Firstly, when you walk in, your breath is taken away because of how beautiful it looks. I know, that sounds odd for a grocery store but I challenge anyone to prove me wrong. The setup is amazing and though I could never describe why, its just very... well, Vermont. Its very Vermont-like in both its presentation and the products. The produce selection is great. It is good -sized and full of just-off-the-farm fresh fruits and vegetables! And the selection of non-alcoholic drinks is incredible! I still havent tried them all. But best of all? Best of all is that they support our beautiful state like almost no other. The number of Vermont made products that Village Market has is just awesome. You have to go to this store! Come by for lunch and try the salad bar. You will not regret it.

One of the best home town grocery stores in VT. With a mix of Organic spcialties and more affordable goods. Great Beer selection and an amazing staff in the produce and meat departments. They will special order you anything and all of their meat and fish is fresh and stored extremely well to ensure an enjoyable meal.

Open jar spices and grains like they have in food co-ops

Such a good grocery store for the size, literally everything I need in one place. However, if you are used to a big gorgeous produce sections moderate your expectations a little, smaller grocery stores do not seem to be able to provide that in the same way as a giant wegmans can :)

A good selection - Ill give them that.We traveled all way from Stowe after reading the (questionable) reviews on Google, in order to get some fresh vegetables. I bought cucumbers and some red pepper, both turned out to be rotten from the inside. Something really bad is going on with their veggies department.

A favorite grocery in VT, the staff is especially kind and helpful. Worth getting off I89 to pick stuff up on your way home.

Surprising amout of local and organic food amongst the conventional selection at this little place. Easier to park and shop and leave than the local big grocers.

Im really surprised by the reviews here, and would like to point out that a lot of them are probably fake. Just look at Michaels tone and comments, especially the statement at the end to Come on by and try the salad bar. Thats abuse of the google review system, man. I have shopped here about 20 times over the past 3 years and consistently find a long wait at the register (this is my main gripe, and it is literally always at least a 5 minute wait). Their health food selection is about 1/3 of what you would find at Shaws down the road, and go-to foods for me like guacamole and hummus are always at least 30% more expensive than I see anywhere. My guess is that they are only still in business because they are the sole grocer in the downtown area
