This is my favorite store, they are open until midnight and i always find the lowest prices, you wont be disappointed, if you want to buy milk cheese and jam to make some delicious quesadillas this is where you do buy all of that stuff, they also have good deals on sodas and mineral water, i recommend this store to all low income families, you will get more for under $100 dollars.

Great prices. Always stocked. Restrooms and theyre clean. My only complaint is they shut down the U-Scan way too early at night.

My first reaction of walking into the produce department of the store was that it was super neat and clean. I love seeing this especially for the produce departments because it says a lot about how they value the delivery of their products & their customers! The associate Maria was lovely! She went out of her way to check the back for me for a product I was seeking. That is excellent customer service right on!!

I believe your company would do a lot better if your cashier, customer service is put into better use.Maybe greet someone or just be kind and at least smile. The mean looks are very intimidating. Makes me nervous just wanting to say hi. But other than that I like the makeover inside.. Very nicely done..

Need more cashiers at night. They only have 1 Cashiers at night. it takes almost 45 minutes to buy just1 item. They also need to open the self sevice for people that has 10 or less item This way the line wont get to crowded.

Always 2 lanes open with at least 13 people in line in each one. They close their self check outs to early.

Its a great place, clean and cheap

They should fix their shopping carts. The carts are littered with trash left inside of them and half dont work. If you make it pass this part they do have hand sanitizer available at the entrance of the store. The store itself is clean, with wide aisles and a variety of foods.

This is my go to store. They have great prices and friendly staff. Had to give only the 4 stars because unfortunately the lines are not the best. They need more cashiers. Other than that, its one of my fav places to shop for grocery items.

Its good for quick grocery trips, and is the biggest grocery store in town. The selection varies. My biggest complaints are that the workers are rude when you ask for help, and Im constantly finding expired food.

Never a crowd when I go there.

Came by to buy produce and some dairy items. No wait in line and mask and social distance enforced. They didnt have any desinfectant wipes as they used to, only a roll of paper with a spray bottle with some type of water and bleach mix. Anyway, on my way out, I picked up a six of beer which was about $2.00 cheaper than other stores. I used the self checkout and found out you cannot purchase alcoholic beverages at self checkout registers. Even after I showed my ID I still wasnt allowed to buy it. Kuddos to the manager for enforcing the rule. Also, please make sure you take what you need as there are no returns allowed. I picked up a bunch of asparagus and it turned out to be $5.99!! Didnt check my receipt until I had paid. I tried to return but no go. The return policy was displayed so its my fault for not checking.

BEST prices hands down!! Produce quality isnt always the greatest, but the prices always are. As for the customer service, not the greatest either. Employees are not the friendliest and rarely crack a genuine smile. However, tonight I went shopping and there was a new cashier face. Regretfully, I didnt catch his name tag, but he was super friendly, helpful and chatty. He had great customer service.

I do not shop here regularly although I wish I did just not as convenient location wise as I am on the other side of town. But the prices for family items are just incredible and they are every day prices. All your pantry staples fruits and veggies always have a great price. To top it off a customer service rep by the name of Christa was super helpful and nice.

Had a bad smell, did not seem that it was in compliance with Covid restrictions. Selves were empty.

Visited for a few items. Easy enough to find as I am familiar with the store layout.Good prices on most grocery items. Produce selection is good and sale prices are better than many produce stands.Lines are always long. Self checkout area was closed. Not a very welcoming store. Restroom is locked which is a secure way to maintain, but it was very messy and had not been cleaned. Surprising since its access is via employee opening only.Layout can be more welcoming and some produce should be kept in water to preserve, like the asparagus was dry and wilting.Better cashier service, especially when lines are long.

The sale prices here are some of the best I have seen. That is FoodMaxs focus. The customers are many, the check out lanes long, the help is few and over worked, and many of the displays are less tidy than in other supermarkets. But there prices are excellent.

I live in fresno and i got to admit this place is nice and clean.The service is way better.They actually have more then 2 people working @ the check out stands.I like that i was in and out and they were busy at the time.Two thumbs up for the service.

Most employees are great. They need more people on the registers. Super long lines. They really I mean really need to fix the water machines. Its a jokes. Almost a year and the same deal. Thats embarrassing. Prices are good. The carts need work. Please fix them. Every other one has a wheel or something not working. Please management take more care of this store. The nicer the more customers you will get.

The store is a good store to shop. But parking is hard to find and today we could not shop because the system was down. The winds were too hard.

We go here to save a few dollars on basic groceries. Registers are understaffed so tend to have lines for the checkout.

A large variety of items. Shelves were fairly stocked, but I did go late in the afternoon. The only thing that prevented me from giving it 5 stars would be the customer service from cashiers. The past couple of times Ive gone, each cashier has had a tone and body language that shows poor interest in being there

The staff is helpful. The prices are good. The produce is suspect. You have to be very careful with the produce.

I like food max I dont go there very often its a little bit further from my apartment then the first store but they do have some good prices and they have some very nice people I went there to buy some meat and I really needed to use the restroom first that was my only problem it was a little bit difficult getting someone to unlock the door for me to the restroom but all in all FoodMaxx is a good store

Its not a bad store, and there are plenty of decent-amazing deals to be found here. Honestly though, and Im not quite sure how it is during the day, but in the evening check out lines can be a painstakingly long wait, and very crowded. Unfortunately they only ever have one, maybe two every so often, register clerk/cashier checking out items for everyone. Especially inconvenient due to the fact they do close down the self check out fairly early in the evening sadly. Still, in general, its really not that bad and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. :)

Great deals and quality. Minus a star for long lines, never enough clerks on register. As long as they been open they should be able to forecast better scheduling during peak hours.

Pros:This is a good place to get your general groceries. Most of the pricing is fair. There is lots of space for getting around with your shopping cart.Vond:The carts can get annoying. The lines can take awhile to pay.

Have been shopping here for over 3 years now... and the people here are rude! One thing is for sure about this city is that there are a lot of rude people.... especially if you dont fit the description. Lots of racism in this place. Chipper up town mates..... diversity is the key to all happiness. Its okay to accept other types of people. FoodMaxx is a diverse company so the employees should have some training in that there in Watsonville. Its just really rude and unprofessional how you all run that place. Smile some damn time and stop being so upitty!

Great you can find just about everything.

Way too crowded here. Their baked goods were mediocre. The chocolate banana cream pie was way too sweet and heavy, and their cupcakes were just alright.

No lines at 8:30....fast and pain free
