On a short vacation. Stopped in. Wide selection of long guns and pistols as well as ammo. All reasonably priced. Staff was nice and did not hang over you.

They have no competition so they up there prices the same thing at Bass Pro is $50 to $100 cheaper there. Cashiers need a class in public relations

The Browns are very knowledgeable... Cecil, Chad and Jennifer went above and beyond to help us with what we wanted. And they didn’t have it in stock so they ordered it. Very pleasant to work with. We will always do our gun business with them.

I see a lot of bad reviews on here. Honestly though, I came in first time to buy an AR style 45 carbine. I brought my son in with me who has ADHD and touches everything. They were busy at the time. They were kind to my son, even though he was touching everything in sight, and were willing to help me and answer all my questions about guns. On top of that they gave me a great cash discount. I was in and out in 30 minutes, despite the fact that they were busy. I think theyre pretty good business. Ill be back to buy my semi-automatic shotgun, 308, and the next pistol to add to my collection. They have a really good selection even though they had been kind of bought out they still had a lot. I like this place.

Have done business here several times and never had a problem. Will do so again in the near future. Good people and family owned and operated. Good to Law Enforcement.

Was in the store over vacation bought 10-22 from the store will be back next year to maybe buy another gun.

Selection is good, prices are high, service is miserable. Bought a part for an AR build and was told try it, if it doesnt fit bring it back. Returned the part and was told no money back only exchange. Would have been nice to know that... I will consider the money spent as cost in knowing who to not shop with. Will just buy online in the future.

I saw good reviews for this place. I went in. I guess when you aint from here you get treated differently. I found the prices inflated, and the service poor. So i took my money elsewhere.Then a Family member goes in there and gets sold a used POS that wont fire straight for $50 more than they sell for new. refused to trade up. I know its buyer beware. Especially with these clowns. They will take advantage of a naive customer. Much better service just a block away.

Very rude, couldn’t even finish my sentence before I was interrupted by the old woman who met me at the door that wasn’t interested in customers. Wanted info on gun repair and ammo.

Chad and Cecil gave conflicting information about returning a gun to the manufacturer and caused me alot of logistical headache simply because they refused to do their job as a Browning dealer to facilitate the process. I will avoid this gun shop in the future because these guys are too lazy to give any basic customer service.

Friendly folks. They have a huge inventory of used guns too which is nice for a gun shop. Too many shops have new firearms but very few used ones. They also have all parts and pieces to build your own custom AR. The only knock against them are they are a bit pricey. Aside from that if you are looking for it they probably have it.

Awesome gun shop! I ordered 2 browning pistols from a gun shop in bethel, after waiting for 6 weeks for them to come in, I got a refund and went to Hazelwood Gun & Tactical. I had the 2 pistols in my hand in 4 days! Ive purchased other guns at Hazelwood Gun & Tactical and have never had a problem! I will continue to do business here!

Great gun shop with reloading supplies, ammo, cleaning supplies, and of course GUNS....lots of them. A large store for a small town. I had people greet me as I walked in and were very helpful. I bought some powder and primers and looking to put a shotgun on layaway. Glad they are in business here in town. Prices were reasonable too. Just went there today Friday 8/22/2014

This is not a review for the customer service, just the quality of work. I wanted a front sight on a Glock removed and they were kind enough to do it for free. My issue is they didnt use a hex tool to remove it but probably used a pair of needle nose pliers. It ended up scratching the inside of my slide. Not a huge deal but it doesnt leave me with a good impression. They are incredibly kind people and have a fantastic store. Just make sure they have the required equipment.

Guys at the shop are awesome, and will get you the best deal possible. Lots of inventory.

I can not seem to be able to respond to a review. But this review is in response to the recent review made my LEAH. Sir you are very rude to say they are lazy. Chad was on the phone with you for a long time trying to make you understand the process. You called Browning to report the issue/Recall, Browning issued YOU the call tag not Hazelwood Gun. Since the call tag was in your name then you needed to be the person to send the gun back to Browning and in return Browning would send your gun back to you. The gun call tag was and still is not in Hazelwood Guns name ATF rules states that if a gun is purchased and has left a store and transferred into the purchasers name its no longer logged into inventory then a FFL transfer would need to be purchased. You and your wife were offered a FFL transfer that would have been $25.00 (cost and insurance of postage) . Sorry we were trying to save you $25-$50 dollars. I understand the frustration with all of this but next time you have an issue why dont you come back to the shop and confront everyone about it instead of being LAZY and making an internet reviewI know it may seem like Im partial to Hazelwood I am, My husbands family works day and night trying to make sure their shop has a little of everything to make people happy. We are human, we get grumpy, tired, frustrated and a million different emotions. If we have taken any of this out on any of our customers we are very sorry. Next time you are near the shop stop in and say hello.Thank you all for being our customers for over 30 years!

Local gun shop to me, has a decent selection of ammo and firearms, however the staff could use a lesson in customer service. Ive been in this store several times, and NEVER had one person working there ask if they could help me or even acknowledge I came into their store. Sorry, but I was raised to be more polite and courtesy especially to those you mean to do business with. Recommend shopping on-line with Midway or someone else.

They have a huge inventory and if they dont have it, they can get it. I have bought several firearms from them, both in stock items and special order. Their prices beat the on line auction sites and seemed fair to me (below MSRP) plus I find the folks there easy to work with and friendly. They also have great supply of ammo in many less common calibers.

Please do not talk to these guys on their lunch break or touch any gun, it is highly frowned upon. Just find another gun store

Drove in all away from Cullowhee On recommendations to this place was looking to trade in my G30 to get something else a little bit of a boss make sure you call if youre looking to sell or trade ignon because obviously is only one person that can do that and unfortunately for me because I didnt call the person that does that wont be available until tomorrow sometime so I was an absolute waste a trip very disappointed!!

Tried to bring my family into the store to get them interested in guns. The staff was very rude, with profanity laced remarks. Ive tried this store three times and had the same results.... shame. Not to mention they had a hand gun (used) on display for $320 and brand new is $290 and any other gun store.

I have bought many firearms and accessories from Cecil. However the last time I was there, I ran into an old officer friend and started chatting in the parking lot. Needless to say, Cecil told me that I needed to move my vehicle because his spaces are for customers even though I just bought a holster for my vp9 that same visit. He then continued to wait until I moved my vehicle.Piss poor business and I will never return. You lost a very loyal customer.

Prices are high. Staff have to be asked to give information. Accused me of trying to steal a catalog that had no price on it . One staff member was helpful but the rest sat around doing nothing.

These folks consider customers a necessary inconvenience. Please dont interrupt them if theyre eating behind the counter when you walk in, theyll effectively make you regret the day you became interested in guns. If you walk in fanning your face with $100 bills you may get a dispassionate greeting, but dont ask too many questions. Ideally a customer at this location will walk in, present a cake or pie on the counter with an expensive bottle of wine, then proceed to make several purchases without requiring help from the family. They all drive the same type of car, just different colors, so if you happen to own one such vehicle you may make a connection and receive a friendly goodbye on your way out. But make no mistake about it, next time you walk in, all the previous rules apply. Ive not been back here since I made a purchase and was lied to when I asked to use the restroom and the dad said they didnt have a restroom at the same time the mom said it was out of order (followed by an awkward blank stare at each other), during all this, ironically enough, I heard the toilet flush and a patron walks out of a door towards the back. I helped myself to this mysterious restroom that didnt exist and exited the gun shop never to return.

Reached out to them via Facebook messaging, they read my message with no response. Sent a 2nd message hours later, which was also read without response. Ive since gone with the gun shop in Clyde. Much better customer service.

I bought my 2nd firearm from them today. The pistol was much too expensive in the case. I was talking to the owner about making an online transfer and he gave me a price that beat the price online plus the transfer fee. The man really did me right on price and I took the pistol home today. I found zero rudeness from anyone there. The shotgun I bought there was the same. They killed everyone else on price. I cant be more pleased with this shop.

Visited store, not helpful, rude, unfriendly, and down right jerks. It seemed if you didnt appear to look malicious in appearance, then you dont deserve to be in their store. To bad I was looking to purchase, but I prefer the good ole boy gun shops. Their selection was heavy with Ruger for pistols, rifles, and assaults, few glocks, couple Kimber, shotgun selection not impressive, few Berettas, no brownings, nothing impressive. I would recommend going down the street to their competitor. They may ask how you are doing and what brings you to the store? Me and 2 of my friends went here looking for several specific firearms. We had been before and made several purchases despite shoddy customer service. We found 2 of the firearms we were looking for, a ruger sp101 Wiley Clapp edition and a stoeger double defense side by side. We decided to look further but after 5 minutes one of the owners sons who is supposed to pass for a sales associate let us know he didnt mind us looking but we didnt need to handle every firearm we looked at. So apparently he expects us to pay their high prices without even handling the firearm first. So not only did we not continue looking but his attitude cost their location the $1200 we already intended to spend. Also, beware their return policy. Tried that before as well and got burned. I highly recommend looking elsewhere unless you feel like spending $1000 on a wasr 10 and being talked down to while youre being ripped off.

I went here trying to find a way to mount my scope. The gentleman who helped me found a cheap and quality fix and zeroed it too.

High prices and a dishonest used car salesman attitude. Bought a new 10/22 takedown from them on layaway. After I paid in full for the rifle, they brought it out and the stock was damaged. It still had the new price tag on, and I pointed out the damage. Even though they did not put it back in the packaging, they insisted it was impossible it got damaged by them and was like that when I first put money down. I disagreed, and they said they would order a new one from their distributer. A week later I called and they had done nothing, saying the shop had been closed while they were on vacation and would get back to me. They called back saying they wouldnt get a new one, and I could have it as is or they would send it back to Ruger to be repaired. They sent it back, and a month later it was returned with a new, but completely different color scheme stock. When I pointed this out, and said its not the same as the one I bought. Cecil the owner, agreed it was a different stock, but was the same serial number so its the same gun and I would have to take the issue up with Ruger. Cecil told me he was done with it, that it was my gun. When I disapproved, he told me to get out of the store.I have bought many firearms and have never experienced anything like this level of dishonesty and rudeness before. Last year I purchased a new lever gun from On Target in Asheville. It arrived with minor damage on the stock, similar to the 10/22. On Targets owner, Jeff, apologized, immediately ordered a new one, and put the damaged one back on their shelves at a discount, with a tag stating it was blemished.Hazelwood Tactical and Cecil just want your money. Their prices are higher than On Target and Prices Creek, worse they cant be trusted to do right by their customers.

Great gun selection and good prices.

Most gun stores only carry low end crap. Iwalked in thinking nothing for me. walked out with a Sig 516, and an Acog. This is not your average gun store they have the real stuff at a reasonable price nice job.

Decent selection of firearms and parts, but some staff act like youre just wasting their time. Other staff are friendly.

Walked in, was ignored, walked out. I’ll stick with On Target.
