I brought in my 1994 XJ RHD Cherokee, that was used for mail delivery. with a busted transmission. Michael and the staff brought my Jeep back to life! I have FULL confidence in their transmission work and Michael was exceptional with advice and offering me a tremendous extended warranty. Very thankful of the shop getting my Jeep back to me without any issues whatsoever, I’m now three weeks in of using the Jeep every day. Highly recommend their work.

Great customer service and communication. After initial repairs on my 2012 2500 Silverado the transmission started to overheat due to a faulty part from the manufacture. Michael was very transparent and took care of the repairs as they were covered by the warranty. Truck is driving and hauling like a champ again. Anytime before doing anything that was going to cost they would reach out for consent and elaborate on why. I find some of the negative reviews to be highly unlikely considering my experience.Its hard to find an honest mechanic. They couldve easily raked me over the coals when i bought my truck back in for overheating, but they DIDNT.I would gladly recommend them for transmission repairs.

Friendly fast and good work communication is good

DO NOT use this company. They stole my sons truck, his identity also to pay themselves for their services. 2 years he has been trying to find his truck. Have hired lawyers but they or the law arent doing anything. My son has 3 kids and had to get another vehicle and still has not gotten his back. They claim they dont know where it is. Cant even give a rating. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE RIP OFF COMPANY!! KELLER location included!!

Awesome shop! We were traveling across country and were having transmission issue we thought. Tow truck driver recommended this shop and glad they did. Looked at car immediately and gave us advise and did not make repairs not needed. Would recommend highly if you are looking for an honest shop!

We took our 2012 manual transmission vehicle in because 3rd gear was popping out. Mike and his team were very diligent in finding and correcting the elusive problem. Mike’s professionalism and courtesy made the frustrating situation more bearable. We would recommend this business.

I used American Transmissions in Weatherford, Texas. Although, my experience with them is ongoing, I must say that Rusty that manages it is absolutely awesome. He is personable, easy to work with, works with your every need & request, & just gets things done. I am pleased with his service & would recommend dealing & working with Rusty when contacting & using this business.

Rusty is super friendly. It was time for my 60,000 mile service and I was a little concerned about cost and being taken advantage of since the Lexus dealership made a joke about changing my blinker fluid. Rusty explained everything that needed to be done on my Lexus IS 250. He was very polite. You should really check this place out, they work on everything from big trucks to little sports car. Five stars all the way!!!

This is my first review but felt very strongly about getting on here and giving a big thumbs up to Rusty and American Transmissions for their outstanding work and caring attitude. After taking my own vehicle to American just after they opened several months ago to have my truck transmission rebuilt, I have sent 3 other family and friends to them for various auto repairs. This week I sent my daughter to Rusty. Unfortunately she had a seized motor in a value poor car. Rusty went above and beyond in his creativity to get her back on the road with a college girl budget.So give this company and young man a chance. I assure you it will become a lifetime relationship like mine has.

I came in with a really bad attitude because of the situation with my vehicle. Then a gentleman (Tech) named Dustin saw my mother and i and was very nice and took us to our vehicle and really kept us in the loop. Even went out of his way to ask our thoughts. He was very informative amd pateint with us. This gentleman alone made my experience one that i wont forget and I would go as far as to say it was enjoyable. If your reading this thanks brother i appreciate you.

I just had my transmission rebuilt by these guys, and i absolutely recommend them if you want to get yours rebuilt. my trans works like a dream, i will definitely use these guys again if i need to.

Horrible place Horrible owner! Joe King ripped me off for nearly $6000 when he refused to honor the warranty that came with my engine rebuild. Parts were missing from my vehicle which he held hostage & lied to the finance company about for nearly a year. He never fixed my car after his initial rebuild failed. He tried to Blame me for the failure & lied outright about when he got the car. His other shops are just as crooked & deceitful but never fear he is always rebranding erasing his name from the shops so you think he no longer owns them but he does. Hes tried pinning this all on his own son who was his former shop manager. Do NOT go to this place unless you want to end up worse off than when you walked in. Id leave a negative star for this place if it was allowed.

After I had an awful experience with another local shop I stopped by American Transmission late on a Friday afternoon. Rusty and James were able to look at my truck and make it so I could get through the weekend. I made an appointment for the following Monday morning.When I dropped it off Monday I was offered a ride home and I was told that theyd look at it and call me with a diagnosis and estimate. They,called me within an hour and informed me.of what repairs needed to be done and how long it would take. They were right on with their time line and even stayed late on Friday afternoon to complete the repairs so that I could have my truck for the weekend. Rusty is a good guy and will bend over backwards to get you taken care of. Its nice to have a honest local mechanic. Ill be going back for all of my future repairs and Ill be sending my friends there too.

I recently had my oil changed and was told i had a rear main gasket seal leaking transmission oil or some other seal. I called American transmission at closing time and the owner joe still took the time to discuss this with me. Told me to bring it in and they will take a look at it for free, I end up sending my wife due to the fact that Im working. She tells me that as soon as she got there she talked with one of the workers and the owner joe had taken notes of our conversation so that they knew exactly what to do. Come to find out I didnt have no gaskets that needed to be replaced and that it was just a loose hose. Joe and his business are as honest as you can get. I mean they could have told me that a gasket needed replacing charged me 900$ and me the no wiser. I recommend these people !!!!!!!

Before any business is done here ask to speak with the owner...just see what is said. That should answer any questions you have about if its a honest shop. If you have an owner hiding from Customers what does that say about the company? American trans in keller and weatherford both had the same words. I dont know who the owner is? Well god bless him.
