My husband and I come in here a lot since summer started. The drinks are tasty, the boba is fantastic, the workers are super friendly, and theyre fast. The location is also clean. So I recommend coming here, its a good place for drinks!π§However my biggest complaint is that theyre consistently very stingy with the milk cap at this location. Even when you ask for it thick, or extra or double (and pay extra) the milk cap is almost always meager. Not sure if this is because of management or if they just dont make enough to serve a lot, but for comparison, I have a picture of a milk cap from this location and from the Louisiana St. location. (The Bellaire location serves their milk cap similar to the Louisiana one, its also very thick, especially when you say extra.) and often the drinks here arent filled to the top. Like I said, I suspect its a management-being-frugal kind of thing, but its a bummer to an otherwise great place.
The workers are always so friendly and sweet! I come in a few times a week and they always greet me with smiles and waves, itβs nice to feel welcomed. The shop is overall very clean and so cute! I was so excited to find a place with boba close to my home and Iβm so glad this place was the first one I tried. When I came in the first time, I wasnβt sure what to get and they were so helpful to help me pick out something and now I have a new favorite drink! Iβve definitely already become a regular and I hope anyone else that comes in enjoys it just as much as I do! π
Ive been to other Kung Fu Teas and they are not nearly as stingy as this place. I usually get no ice since I dont like watering down my drinks and this place fills the cup only halfway, just showing how much ice they expect to put in each drink and how little drink. I get you want a consistent formula but the profit margins are already great given I pay like $5 for a cup of tea and milk/sugar with some tapioca, so filling it up only halfway seems like theyre slighting me for no reason. Other Kung Fu Teas and boba places dont do this, just this location because I assume the ownership is stingy.
Normally have great experiences with this place. If I order for delivery, they generally call to let me know theyre out of something I ordered so we can arrange for a sub. Lately, however, has been frustratingly bad. One order just never arrived--thats a GrubHub issue, the worst of the delivery services, but that is a rant for another time. This time, both drinks in my order had something wrong and thats on this location. One drink was completely wrong leading me to believe that they mixed up the drinks in someone elses order. The other drink was made incorrectly with different toppings added. If this was an issue with being out of things, then call, as they have done in the past. But this time they just threw some toppings in and called it a day. I would have rather no toppings and miss out on the 50 cent surcharge than this abominable mix of toppings they added. Ill give them one more try, because theyre normally pretty great, but will definitely not be using for delivery until they drop GrubHub.
Tasty milk teas. I like that they have a smaller Medium size when I just need a little caffeine pick-me-up; the smallest size at most other bubble tea places is way more than I need. The slushies and smoothies are great for the kids.
The girl who took my order is friendly. Even they kinda out of everything but thats fine. Drink came out really fast. Great to to start new day with their amazing drinks and cute staffs.
Its a hit or a miss kind of place. Drinks are inconsistent. Sometimes too sweet. Sometimes too much tea. Thick today, other times runny. Boba hard now, boba soft another day. All for the same drink each time, itβs never the same. Youβre always taking a chance when you come here. The drinks should be consistently made the same no matter what.
Great Boba! I try to get something different everytime I go and I am never disappointed. There arent many boba places in the area so Im glad to have a good one near by.
Mango Snow from Kung Fu Tea is absolutely amazing, as is their brown sugar boba. Staff is always so friendly too!
I ordered coco cream from Uber Eats the boba is too tough to chew. Itβs can not even to bite. I called they let me bring the drink back to the store, why would I order on Uber Eats If Iβm available to go out? They said the only way to get refund is bring the drink back to the store, that they can check the problem of the boba. Never back.
Good experience today. Taro Slushie was well prepared. Interior is minimal but I like that. Comfortable place to sit and focus for a while.
The honey lemonade was yummy, was happy they were open later then others around.
I love buying here. Me and my kids come here way too muchπ
They are often out of things but the drinks are consistently well made with love. The baristas are all such nice people as well, even when its busy and overwhelming theyre so calm and collected and treat everyone with much kindness π
The tea is delicious! And not too pricey. They also close around 10pm which is good for some of us who are trying to relax with a cup of camomile tea before bed. Nice place to relax with friends. Great choice of venue for both daytime and nighttime hangouts!
Just like the make them in taiwan! Delicious
Love this boba shop. Tapioca is always fresh and warm
Really nice place i went there for the first time and i loved their selection of teas. It is a very relaxing and aesthetic place to sit and drink your boba.
Kung Fu milk tea is my favorite. No issues on taste. Itβs always consistent. However this location made me feel uncomfortable because there were piles of dust collecting on the fan blades and vents of the hvac system. Management please address this issue ASAP!
Ive been to the other Kung Fu locations but this is by far the worst one Ive been to. The other locations are always great, but everytime I come to this location its not a good experience. The employees always seem mad or have an attitude with you and the lid is not sealed all the way most of the time so it spills all over. I love kung fu and I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but too many occurances has made it become unbearable where I just had to leave a review. I hope management gets these things resolved.
Best taro bubble tea Ive had in a long time
They use powder and water basically to make tea. Thereβs no jasmine or earl gray tea. Boba is tough. Not worth the price at all. This would be a great tea place if you like just want sugar water. There are so many other tea places that have better flavor, options and put effort into making a real tea drink. Staff was great.
MY FAVORITE!!!!! I always go there all the time!!!! I love the Taro milk tea with boba!!!! When Iβm old enough I wanna work there. π
When Me and my family ordered the Oreo Wow and the lady that made it for us did not make it right at all ! No ice and it was warm when it should have been cold. It didnβt have any Oreos in it and when we drank it we had more bobba than Drink . Apparently she did not like her Job or whatever the issue was. I wouldnβt go to this place again, I should have went to the one on Louisiana instead .
Worst experience ever at a Kung Fu Tea! The barista yelled at me for not speaking clear enough. I rather get my boba from somewhere else!
Great selection of teas and other drinks if youβre tagging along but not much of a tea drinker. Classic green/black/oolong teas, Milk teas, Punch, Slushies, lactose free options, and coffee options. I havenβt tried many other drinks straying fromClassic and Milk tea options, but the yogurt orange and grapefruit are both pleasantly tart and refreshing and something to switch things up with. You can alter the sugar, ice, and add on levels as well to customize your drinks.I love the brown sugar ginger hot. So good. Thai tea, coconut milk tea, matcha sesame milk strike. I donβt think Iβve ever been disappointed unless the boba is hard which in my personal experience is rare. You can also use the app for order ahead and use your email to opt in for βbubblesβ or credits to rack up discounts or free drinks. I think once or twice what I ordered wasnβt available once I got there but fortunately Iβm not fussy and like everything. They would have refunded me if not. They have a few tables for hanging out and some board games available. They have taken COVID safety procedures seriously as well.I was originally turned on to Kung Fu at the Mason Park location and am happy to have one close to home now.
Got 3 different items, all tasted the same and every time they are out of Boba. Bad customer service. RIP OFF!!. Not going again.
Good Bobba tea
Employees looks miserable everytime, be it they are kids. But really, 0 customer service skills at this location. Owner is at fault.
My first boba tea. I went with the taro milk boba and I wasnt disappointed. Its a fun drink, certainly differentfrom my usual Texas style iced teas. Staff was helpful and professional. Facility looked clean.
The tea and service is great. I highly recommend if you need a refreshment.
My sister and I went here for the first time today. We bought two drinks each, its a bit of a drive for just one drink, and we loved our drinks. I cant remember what my sister had but I bought the oolong milk tea and orange yogurt drink. They both were amazing! And the service was quick so we were in and out in less than 5 minutes.
Favorite place to get bubble tea from! The only complaint Ive had is that their sugar levels vary and are inconsistent. I ask for 30% sugar for all my drinks and sometimes feel like they put in 50% of sugar.
While were waiting for kids to get their teeth cleaned next door, we decided to go grub a drink. We had Kung Fu tea from Montrose area and Bellaire, so we were familiar. I got a plaine black tea, which is super strong (loved it) and my husband got taro milk tea with boba. He said it was okay. I have to say other locations did make tea slightly better. Still I would definitely come back.
I enjoy the atmosphere, its a good place to study and drink the great teas with the great service.
Great and unique tea we really enjoyed ourselves
I love it! I always get the Kung Fu Milk Tea when I come.
I recently visited this location and as a person with 5-star customer service experience, the customer service I recieved was well below good. I called to place a to-go order and the girls tone of voice was not pleasant and sounded rather annoyed at my call. I placed my order about 30-35mins before I came in. When I did arrive to pick up the order, I received no greeting or recognition that I came in. And after I said I was there to pick up my order, she then started to make the drinks. I had to repeat my question several times about how to get points, to which she blatantly replied, you have to have the app, in a slightly less annoyed voice than before. There were no other guests in the cafe. I am upset that I called well in advance, but had to wait for my 4 drinks when I got there. The couple that came in after me also did not recieve recognition and had to ask the girl behind the counter for her attention to place the order. They were awkwardly standing for a few solid minutes. I understand that most people are working on their customer service, but this girl and her coworker did not show any sort of wanting to even be there. However, she did give me a smile when I thanked her. Hopefully the customer service will improve the next time I come back to Webster.
Get the cocoa cream wow with milk cap. The tapioca pearls taste chocolatey!!!
I just tried this place out for the first time a few weeks ago with my sister when they were having a FF promotional drink. I was very impressed with the drink! Its not something I myself would have chosen to drink but it was really good. Its a great little place to come in and relax or chat. I really like the atmosphere. Will have to try them out again
Edit: I want to thank the owner for reaching out to me. I went back and asked for less ice, and as always the service and the drinks are great. They have some of the nicest, most sweet and chewy tapioca around. Great variety!Old post: Although the service is great and the tea is great quality, the price for a medium is about the same as you could pay for a large in other tapioca places in Chinatown or some other places in Houston for the same quality. It was about $5 including tapioca and the tip for the servers. It is clear to see that half of the cup was ice cubes after I finished the pitifully small amount of drink in about a minute. Not worth it for the price and felt ripped off.
Love this place and we come here a lot but during the corona outbreak I came in one day and the A/C was out, so the entire staff wasnt wearing masks or gloves? When a woman made my drink she SNEEZED into her elbow right over my open drink. It was already her second time remaking it so I took it and threw it away outside. I get that the A/C was out but... just close for a day while you get it fixed instead of risking infecting all your customers.
Normally not bad, although we love their drinks, the opening girl this morning was a bit rude. It was 11:01 and me and my son were waiting in the cold rain, we could see her back there doing dishes or something and she would not come unlock door. I knocked on window, she still didnt come. We walked back to car, then she came. She then acted mad at us and had an attitude because we made her do her job.
So, the only reason I went to this shop was because its next to my dentist. I walked in and was surprised at how nice the staff was and how much variety there was on the menu. I didnt really know what to order so I asked the cashier and she asked me what I wanted. They have iced tea, milk tea, specialty tea, slushes, and more. I decided to try the coconut milk tea and it was pretty good. I especially enjoyed the tapioca balls that you can add to the bottom of your drink because that made it that much more enjoyable. There wasnt much of a wait and the place has a nice atmosphere so I got my drink and sat down. I recommend coming here because the drinks are pretty good and its not that expensive.
Great tea! The menu has lots of choices. There is something for everyone here. I got an oolong honey black tea with milk cap. It was so good! I will return.
All around good experience
The person working there was rude. She didnβt even welcome us in and it made it seem like she didnβt even want us there. The drink and tapioca was good.Just wish I had felt more welcome.
Wide variety of drink options. I got taro with a green tea base, regular sweetness and tapioca. It was excellent!
Oh man the teas are good! I forgot the one I got but it was good and seemed natural so thumbs up to that! Also their boba is sweet so itβs good and more point to them from me!
So delicious!! My husband was recommended the Kung Fu milk tea and it was perfect! I myself got the Caribbean Breeze, it was amazing. Couldnt put it down. The service was on point and the people were friendly and helpful! Cant wait to go back
First time trying the place. My daughter likes bubble tea and I like trying new places so thatβs how we got around to this place. Music is nice, modern and upbeat. The menu has a good variety although my daughter thought her coconut milk tea was βjust okβ. I ordered the matcha slush with red beans and tapioca, no complaints was good. Customer service was good. Place was small but clean. Itβs a cute spot that I would visit again. Our medium order came out to 11.40 with a tip. Reasonable priced for the area. ππΏ
Best teas around! Try the milk cap it is so addicting! Great place to sit and chill with friends.
First time visiting with my daughter fantastic drinks awesome customer service I am definitely returning
It was good. I never had anything like it before, but I liked it. I would certainly try it again.
Love the mango slushie with the mango juice balls. Its a very nice place.
I AM IN LOVE THIS THIS PLACE! I COME IN EVERY DAY AND IT ALWAYS GET BETTER! It is my dream job to work there! The staff is amazing and the tea is better! I really want to work here!!
The drinks were great except when the worker sneezed on her hand and didnβt bother to wash I had to literally tell her to please wash her hands !! And of course she did because I told her.. common people wake up we donβt want to catching anything especially the virus going around .. common sense you donβt sneeze on your hand not wash period !!!!
I absolutely love the drinks. So delicious. But the customer service could definitely use some work. Almost every time I go in, the kids working the register are just on their phones. Itβs very awkward trying to order your drink while they text in front of you.
This place is one of the better bubble tea places in the clear lake area! One of the workers, Crystal, is awesome & always so helpful! However, I am disappointed they no longer sell Thai Tea.
She got my order wrong. She was too busy to listen to any orders after mine because of the guy that was sitting behind the counter with her just talking. I wouldve thought he was working there but I guess not seeing that she ended up having a line and he didnt help but continued to talk to the girl. Rude too when I told her my order was wrong.
Extremely rude customer service. I came there after lunch time and was told that the slushees, most jellies, AND boba believe it or not (because itβs a boba tea place) were all out. They said that if we wanted boba we would have to wait at least 20 minutes, and I was on a tight schedule. It took a moment for me to figure out what I wanted, and the cashier seemed to be losing patience with us, so after a normal time of about 30 seconds, I let the person behind me just go, and when I figured out what I wanted (taro milk tea), the lady seemed curt and was trying to finish up my order before I could say less sugar or light ice. She skimped on the milk cap too. Theyβre tea is really good such as their original milk tea and taro milk tea, their boba is big and soft, their milk cap is delicious, but customer service was not friendly. I recommend calling ahead to see if they have your order in stock.
Lady got our order wrong and was really rude. Honestly this place is hit or miss. She got the number of teas wrong and mixed up our add-ons. All our teas were too sweet.
This place is absolutely amazing! The staff and management are extremely kind and their drinks are always on point! I will say though that they use lactaid milk and dairy free powered milk so if you stomach canβt handle that I suggest getting something that isnβt milk based. I donβt have that issue but I have seen people comment about it in the past from other locations. Just a heads up :)
Flavors are always consistent and menu lets you adjust elements of the drink according to ones personal tastes.
Great drinks
I have a mission to try (over time) every drink on their menu. Anyway this place is good though. They never pronounce my name right, but Ill give them a pass on that since its an ethnic name anyway.
3rd location of this chain Ive been too. Same quality and experience in both. This location has some different options, but everything else is the same.
Love the place! Drinks are awesome! They make it the way I like it! I love any drinks with jelly! Kung Fu kick @ss! Definitely come back!
I am so happy that we have a legitimate Tapioca/Tea place in the SE quadrant. They arent official open yet, but came by their training session. Their honey milk tea was solid! The owner recommended for me to try their Taro, for all the times, Ive been to Kung Fu, I never had that one before. It was actually very good, so now my wife have a new flavor to add into the rotation. Their bobba was perfectly cooked! They will be seeing me on a regular basis, especially now that the teahouse down the street has closed down too.
The girl at the front counter wasnt even looking at us while taking our order. She mumbled so much we didnt know half of what we ordered. Would reccomend if they had sample days but other than that I dont see myself going again.
Nice place, whoevers playlist was on had some nice jams. I reccomend the strawberry lemonade or the winter melon milk cap.
Very loud music. They would receive much more business if they didnt play trap music so loud. Also, the sound of the second-rate blenders tear into your eardrums. Great boba doe.
Each time iβve been theyβve had a decent menu selection, iβm always meet with smiling bubbly people, i havenβt waited for longer than maybe 5 minutes max, and the establishment is very cute and seems dry sanitary. to top all of this my favorite drink, the winter melon milk green tea, is very yummy!
Great Tea! I love Thai tea Boba sad that this place is going to discontinue this.
Loved the taro milk tea
This place was amazing especially the coconut bobba tea
Good bubble tea.
While the drink itself was good, I have to say that the customer service was very lacking. We were not acknowledged when we walked up the counter and were initially ignored when asking questions, the staff was busy on their phones. After repeating our questions, we were finally met with mumbled, irritated responses by the staff.I would still go here, if I was in the area, but I hope the service would be imporved.
The drinks are dry yummy and the customer service is amazing. Thank you Marisah for your help on selecting drinks.
Really neat spot with fast and courteous service. I love the drinks! So delicious.
The boba is okay, but when you ask for less ice or no ice itβs very very clear on how much they skimp you by. I usually get less/no ice because I donβt like watered down drinks. When I got no ice here, they clearly fill the cup only halfway. Every other kung fu tea and boba shop Iβve been to normally just fills it up or pretty close to the top. Not this one!
The cashier treated me like a burdened while I was there when only one other person was in the building. The product was alright and more expensive than other tea places. She threw my change on the counter instead of handing it to me. The other person waiting in the building was there before me and she forgot about him...
Love it so much!! Such a big menu with great variety. Im in love with the Rosehip Lemonade w boba- it tastes like the red part of a sour trolling gummi worm~~β‘ my husband got the piΓ±a colada w boba, but it kinda had a chalky after taste. so not our fave, but well be back to try more flavors! I wish it was a bit more decorated too. Its kinda flat looking on the inside.
Come here all the time, the tea is so flavorful, to me much better than Teahouse.
My daughter loves their tea.
Cant get enough of their slushies & boba!! The taro sushi and so sweet and buttery. Theirs is different than any taro boba I have had.
Love the variety, and I havent tasted one yet that I didnt like! Were big fans of the Taro Milk Green Tea with tapioca, and the Passionfruit slush with mango jelly.
Drinks were tasty, environment is quite loud. Nothing on the walls so it echos pretty badly paired with loud music and mixers.
The tea always delicious, the services is always great and the people are friendly and wonderful! Iβm just grateful they nearby my house and church :3
Lots of variety and helpful staff. Will definitely return next time Im in the area.
I love it here but when I last went the girls were so rude. Very blunt. Didnβt show good service.
One of our favorite bubble tea places in the area. They have a decent selection of flavors and beverage styles and a few board games too.
Im a regular here and Ive always had great, friendly service. Their drinks never disappoint! The kung fu milk tea and winter melon milk green tea are some of my favorites. The boba is always cooked perfectly as well. So grateful to have this location in the area :D
The best Thai-Tea you can find. Very clean environment and friendly staff. Loved it.
