Dr Tran is an excellent doctor and prevented hearing loss in my left ear by giving me the right prescription at the right time I would highly recommend him being without insurance I find the prices very high but for what they did for me it was well worth it I have no complaints and I would highly recommend this place also my condition was such that I had to be seen right away and instead of making me wait weeks like most of the other doctors I contacted in the area he took me in the very same day that probably helped to save my hearing.

Went in Thursday Dr Trans was great! I do highly suggest him. I initially went in on 01/28 Thursday for lump in throat Ive had for 10 months he is pretty sure it is silent reflux said he would call in prescriptions today is Tuesday the 2nd after 6 days still no prescription got called in. Ive called in multiple times and left messages Im not getting any answers. One nurse called me back yesterday the 1st to ask me what medicine I should be taking!? that was the entire question I was trying to figure out what medicine, what time, and what dosage. So communication needs to be fixed it shouldnt take 6 days to get a prescription called in or even an answer if or what dosage to get over the counter since nobody called prescription. Finally received call back with correct info shouldnt have taken that long so I fixed my review since they at least finally communicated back with me. I will def be keeping this review updated.

Dr. Christopher Tran is tops in my book. He now has my voice back to normal. This has been a long journey with a lot of other doctors. I cannot praise Dr. Tran enough. Our Pediatrician gave us a list of ENT Doctors that she recommended and I am glad we chose Bay Area ENT. Dr. Tran was AMAZING!! From the time of our first visit he made my 6yr old son feel comfortable. Dr. Tran became his favorite vacuum Dr as he calls the device used to clean inside his ear, and looked forward to sitting in Dr. Trans transformer chair. Dr. Tran spoke to my son, made sure he had no questions and made my son feel important. The day of surgery my son was allowed to take his Black Panther stuffed toy into surgery with him, after surgery we noticed Black Panther had a cotton ball and band-aid on his right ear as well and made my son so happy as he thought Dr.Tran really worked on him too! That was amazing to even think of that detail. I would highly recommend Dr. Tran to anyone especially kids. Lets not leave out his amazing nurse, she was just as awesome!

I began seeing Dr. Miller and her PA in 2015 after years of searching for answers for chronic sinus and allergy issues. Each one of the staff is efficient, caring and easy to talk to. They really care about each patient, want to make a difference and explain everything very well. Dr. Miller suggested surgery for me and after nearly 8 months post surgery I can say it was life changing and I am very thankful to her and her team for a job well done. It’s been 10 years since Dr. Strunk did reconstructive surgery on my face. There isn’t a doubt in my mind that he saved my life but even more, my quality of life has been amazing ever since also. Being able to breathe and do it well is completely under rated. Thank you, Dr. Strunk, for all you have done in your life to make mine and others a better one. I have a cold right now, which is why I had to write because I can still breathe despite it.

I was very impressed with the physician we saw, Dr. Miller. Unfortunately, the nurses we encountered were not up to the same standard of professionalism. They seemed distracted and brusque almost to the point of being rude. The nurse that took my daughters medical history was incredibly unprofessional. She was chewing gum during the intake discussion, yelled questions at us, and asked open ended questions that seemed odd and were hard to answer. Rather than running through a list of conditions (we had already filled out a medical history questionnaire) she asked us (while smacking her gum) to tell her every medical condition my daughter had...ever. Literally. Her questioning was loud and aggressive enough that both my daughter and I were extremely put off. I have never experienced anything like it.

Will NEVER Return!!! This facility was recommended by our PP. When we arrived we were completely ignored until 3 employees finally finished discussing some event that had happened, I guess, the previous weekend. When we were FINALLY acknowledged and semi-greeted we were handed a stack of paperwork to complete. After painstakingly completing the stack of forms, we were told to “wait” to be called. After waiting for over 60 minutes we were finally called. The nurse/assistant, with again no greeting, apologies, or explanation to our wait time, took us back to an exam room where we were required to again ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS we had just completed on their forms (What a WASTE of OUR time). The first smile we saw from the assistant was when the Doctor finally appeared. After all this time, we spent less than 8 mins with the doctor and his solution was a steroid shot and two bottles of nasal spray and told to schedule another appointment. We did schedule a follow up appt which we were unable to make, so we called and cancelled. We did understand that if cancellation notice was not received within 24 hours an office visit charge would be accessed, which was fine. However, we were not expecting the final insult to be a bill which stated we owed $50 DUE NOW!!! Since this is the first bill we have received, would it be so hard to just say “Please Pay this Amount”?!?!?!? This is an unwelcoming and unpleasant place. An update to our original post: We have received, and truly appreciated, a call from Cynthia who was very concerned about our experience. She listened attentively and seemed genuinely concerned. She assured us that she would address all of the issued we encountered. For this reason we will change our rating neutral and hope that Cynthia can deliver on her intent to improve future client experiences in this office.

Dr Tran recently performed a Turbinate reduction as well as Septoplasty to help with my nose. 15 years of misery was ended the day of my surgery. I woke up feeling incredible. I have a long history of hearing issues. I was born deaf, had 5 sets of tubes before turning 10 years old and a long history of inner ear infections.I went yesterday for vertigo and an inner ear infection and it somehow turned into you need an MRI. Even after I said no multiple times. 1. I do not need an MRI for an ear infection. 2. You Dr Strunk diagnosed me with tendonitis and tmj the last time I was there. 3. You would know this if you actually looked at my file and reread my history; you know the one I gave and the one youve already diagnosed me with. 4. I highly recommend if you think something is wrong with the brain not to try and treat it yourself, this is not your area of expertise. Plus, if something was wrong in between I would have more symptoms than vertigo. How do I know? Him I just lost my mother to small cell lung cancer that metastasized to the brain. 5. Dont scare people without properly preparing. 6. Listen to your patients, I have a history of inner ear infections. So instead listening to me because, ya know, Ive only dealt with this my whole life and I know what it feels like, you jump in with unresolved conclusions and must have an MRI.I, for one, am dumbfounded as to why I had to vent to an MRI tech about this and whom felt the same way.Long story short: YES Im pissed, NO I will not recommended you, and yes I think it was a money move. Jokes on you I got a refund. Tootles!PS the other staff members and nurses are awesome people! To bad they have to work with an incompetent Doctor.

Im extremely disappointed in the care (or lack there of) I recieved from Dr. Strunk. His bedside manner could be described as poor, at best. He doesnt explain anything. He talks at you (or actually to staff member taking notes on the door), not to you. When I asked if a medication was okay to use while breastfeeding, he actually said he didnt know. He made no effort to find out, and told me to check with your doctor that manages your breastfeeding. No, Dr. Strunk, its your job to tell me if a med YOU prescribed is ok. Absolutely unacceptable.Additionally, I feel like this place will get every procedure they can out of you, even if its not necessary. Dr. Strunk actually said to me, Well, you have United Healthcare. They will want to see youve had antibiotics before they approve a head CT. No explanation as to if I needed said medication (I was never given a diagnosis that day) or why a head CT would be needed or considered. When I cancelled my followup appointment, they asked if I wanted to cancel the CT, too. Um, I never scheduled a CT. They already had me down for an expensive procedure that another physician agrees, I do not need. I already forked over $250+ for the use of a special scope. Ridiculous.Run as far as you can from Dr. Strunk. Youre just $$$ signs at Bay Area ENT.

Beyond all expectation.I suspected I had hearing loss; however, Dr. Strunk examined my ear canals and cleaned them out before any tests. Ive had them cleaned before many times but never as painless as when Dr. Srtunk performed the deed.Of course being 62 it wasnt the ear wax but significant loss in the left and less so in the right. I could not believe I left that same day with a pair of high quality aids on loan and a scheduled appointment to see how they worked out. Folks at work took no notice till I mentioned my hearing aids the following week.Im writing this review today as I noticed Im to go back next week for my first visit since Ive had my own pair and I can truly say Im looking forward to the appointment. Not because anything is wrong, but to thank folks for the way their care has improved my day to day doings & interactions.

I visited Bay Area ENT and Dr. Strunk in April 2017 after researching ENTs in my area and seeing the great reviews Bay Area ENT had.I was having an issue with my right ear, hearing a whooshing sound that elevated from sometimes to all the time. During my visit, Dr. Strunk suggested the issue could be caused by a tumor and wanted me to get a CT scan to rule that out, referring me to the Houston Physicians hospital which is on the first floor of the same building. When I went downstairs to sign up for the CT and found out how much it costs, I questioned Dr. Strunk, asking him if there was another treatment course we could take prior to me shelling out the (very high amount of) cash to get the scan. He told me that he did not want to treat the symptoms I was having until he was able to rule out the brain tumor, so I obliged, paying the money and getting the scan.A week after the scan, I get a phone call from Bay Area ENT, from Dr. Strunks nurse, telling me that the scan was normal and that unfortunately there were no treatment options and that if the problems got worse to call and they would try to get me in to see what they could do.He sent me to get a CT scan under the premise that if I went and got it, regardless of what the results were, he could help me; and once I spent way more money than I could really afford just to prove to him that I did not, in fact, have a brain tumor (Which I knew I didnt, hence my asking if we could pursue another treatment option first), he THEN had his nurse inform me that there WERE NO TREATMENT OPTIONS for what I was experiencing.TL;DR: Bay Area ENT scammed me into paying a hospital (that they are likely affiliated with) a lot of money for a test I didnt need, and afterwards they told me that they couldnt help me.

I am only going to rate this place a 1 star! I was a new patient and got there early and I had to wait over an hour to see Dr. Strunk. He has horrible bedside manners!!! When I was finally seen he seemed not to care too much of what I had to say about my issues, but more in a hurry to go to the next patient because he was running behind. I felt rushed and uncomfortable! He thought I had sleep apnea and suggested I get a sleeping test done. So I got the test done and was suffering so bad I really couldnt wait a week and a half to get the results, but I had no choice. Fine, but I had called the receptionist telling them I really needed to be seen sooner and they said that there was nothing they could do till he looked at the results. So, a nurse called me back telling me he looked at them and to come in. I assumed they found something since I had to be called in. I got there and he said I didnt need a CPAP (sleep apnea mask)machine and it was probably insomnia but he doesnt treat that and so he gave me a list of 3 doctors. Again he was quick out the door, but at least this time I got in quicker. I felt this was a pointless trip b/c there was nothing they needed to do. They should have just called me instead of making me wait to see him in person. I called the doctors he gave me and 1 of them doesnt even treat my issues and the other isnt even taking patients right now. I have been suffering for a while now and the whole thing felt like it was a waste of time and money!!!!!
