Super friendly person but very expensive service

Ive brought many devices to Gadgetworx between my kids phones and recently my own. Jay is awesome. Hes fixed them all and is always communicative every step of the way. I wont hesitate to have my devices serviced with him in the future (if needed).

Jae was absolutely fantastic! I called him at 1 PM, he gave me a quote and was able to fix my phone in 20 minutes. Awesome conversation and made my phone look much better 🙌🏻 Great prices, would recommend

I asked Jay, the owner, about a digitizer replacement for a laptop. The digitizer is the part of the laptop screen that deals with the touch input.I was quoted $650 and told that I needed to buy an entire new top to the laptop. I showed Jay a screen shot of eBay in which the part that he quoted me $499 for was selling for $250. When I showed him this, he told me to buy it and he would install it for $100.I repeatedly said that I was only looking for a digitizer replacement, and with the same $100 labor cost, and the cost of the part being $70, he would not repair it for me.The most frustrating part is that in my conversation with him, I got quotes like Im not saying it cant be done, and Im checking in YouTube now which leads me to believe that there isnt any real repair expertise being offered and its simply following online guides. Those guides may be perfectly accurate and good enough for most people, but when I have a specific requirement that Im looking for in which there arent any guides (a digitizer replacement), we hit a snag.When I asked the tough questions like The only way you will be able to help me is if there is already a video online of someone doing it for you to follow? I have an iFixit kit, Im as good as you in following a video. Thats not why Im asking for help., I waited significantly longer than my previous correspondence for an answer, which was the non-answer of Im going to pass.I was repeatedly told that he was not interested and to find another shop, which unfortunately I will now be doing.Bonus: I even offered to bring the laptop over to his shop so that he could open it up and see if he could do the replacement, but even when offered a free look inside to see if its possible, I was still told no, it wasnt possible for him to do. (As I said, possibly because there were not any guides online).

Great service! Jay was very helpful and friendly. He took all the stress away and had the phone fixed super fast. This is the only place to go to get your iphone fixed!

I had a problem getting a new motherboard to work on a desktop PC. Jay fixed the problem quickly for a reasonable price.

Ive been to this shop before for copy services (they do a great job with complicated requests like red card stock copies, cut into quarters and hole punched) so I knew that they did repairs. The price was great and the guys fixed my screen by the next day (they had to get the part or would have done it on the spot). Hopefully I wont need their service any time soon but if I do, I will go there again.

Very friendly and professional. My iPhone 3g had cracked glass and a couple of other issues. I ending up deciding (based on their help and honest advice) that it would be best to upgrade to an iPhone 4. I replaced my damaged phone for a much better one and paid little more than others charge for repair. For anyone who values true customer service, quality work, and fair prices, I highly recommend Gadgetworx in Wellesley.

Brought in my Ipad 2 with smashed glass. Repaired by the next day. Looks and works like new and at a much better price than Apple. Thumbs up!

They charged me 70 dollars for water damage treatment. I don t think they even opened the phone or checked it. They said the phone main board is fried. I took it home, the phone goes online and sync mail, get fb messages, and rings, only damaged part was the screen.All in all, they just charge and not try.Take your business elsewhere

Worst company EVER. They use cheap replacement parts instead of genuine parts. Theyll milk you for money at any cost. Bad customer service, and they are dirty! My iPad screen is falling apart after going to them a THIRD time for a screen replacenemt. DONT GO THERE!! THEY OWE ME LOTS OF MONEY AND A NEW IPAD

Worst place to go!!!! they fixed my iPad screen and when I went to pick it up it was scratch all Over in the back. My iPad was brand new with the exception of the screen being broken. I complained about it to the manager and also the fact that I was having difficulty typing in the screen he said he would give me a discount for next visit and also give me a free screen and iPad protector but that he had to order it. I waited so long fo his call never called to tell me the screen and iPad protector was in I called, someone else answer saying he was not in I left two messages and then I gave up. Its being almost a 9 months and nothing. I say stay away!!! They dont take their customers serious and dont stand by their word. I think if i spended more in the Apple Store I wouldnt be so unhappy with my iPad work by now.

He assured me he was certain my iPad was fixable. Had to call him repeatedly as he didn’t get back to me only to find out it wasn’t fixable. He refunded most of my money, keeping $59 for labor. Wasn’t very professional.

Whatever it is, he gets it done. A real straight shooter.
