They do accept credit cards!Flavors on flavors at The Scoop Deck, the sign showing the flavors is massive but there are descriptioon each post breaking down what they are.The people lingering outside made it look like a huge line, but as we walked up on an early Saturday evening most were already enjoying their cones. They were well staffed and the line that was there moved very quickly. We opted for the double scoop kiddie cones in the homemade waffle cones. They waffle cones tasted great and the size of them contained the drips so well, totally worth the added cost. The size was plenty for both kids and adults.There is plenty of seating to enjoy your cone and I was surprised by the amount of parking. We passed our traditional ice cream shop to get here and we will do so again soon.

Graham Central and Cannoli were so good! Drove there from Cliff House before closing at 10 pm. Perfect atmosphere.

What a delightful ice-cream place. All the flavors we ordered were excellent. The portions really are generous. Nice outdoor areas for seating and light kid play. Lots of funny signs around too. Had a great time all together.

This place has amazing ice cream! I love coming here & indulging in some guilty pleasures 😂 the line may be long (especially if you go on the weekend) but its worth it. They have 2 order lines. One that goes inside & one that lines up out side on the side of the building. They have a description of each ice cream on a sign next to the flavors too incase you arent sure what you want 🙂

70 plus flavors, thats incredible! Make sure u find the paper posting the list complete with all the descriptions of what ea has. Some really creative & fun names. Excellent ice cream, with pretty big scoops. Mine was very good, peanut butter Iditarod, picked out almond joy for my husband. That coconut flavoring was absolutely fantastic. Im not really that much of a coconut fan, but it left a huge impression on me. Cant wait to return to Wells Maine for vacation next year! Im getting ALMOND JOY ICE CREAM!!

Really fun ice cream place with the most wide variety of flavors I have yet to seen. If you are not from Maine, be aware that sizes are humongous! For reference, the size in the photo is a double kiddie! Delicious! Will definitely be back

Top notch ice cream, tremendous number of flavors, efficient staff and lots of outdoor picnic tables to enjoy it all. Serving sizes are huge, so dont hesitate to order smaller than you normally would, and great that they have a sink to wash hands... Its all over packed and melts quickly (as good homemade ice cream does) so youre gonna get messy.

Best place to get ice cream in the area. Delicious ice cream and great service with a smile. Loads of classic and unique flavors to choose from. Vegan options too. Bring cash as the dont accept cards. There is an ATM there. Expect long lines on hot summer nights but staff does a good job of moving the line along. Very, very popular with locals and tourists alike.

Great ice cream flavors however I don’t think employees have the same idea or definition per say of how they see the sizes? for example, I ordered 3 kiddie sizes and 1 of them was filled all the way so that it was touching the cover/lid, the other was filled just right on the rim of the cup and the last was filled just in the middle, not touching the cover/lid. I think employees should be a better understanding of their sizes so that customers do not get different amounts of the same sizes.

Hands down the best ice cream in the Wells/Ogunquit area! Tons of flavors all of which are awesome! Ice cream is made in-house. And finally started taking credit cards in 2021!

Amazing ice cream, Huge menu and variety of flavors.Those who complained about the price in their reviews need to catch up on their current events and realize how much dairy and everything else has gone up. Dont blame the small business owner making a living. If you have nut allergies, Dont leave a bad review...you should have plaid in the dirt more as a child! Also, dont frickn come here and expect places to be catered to your sensitivity.

Amazing ice cream choices. The homemade waffle cones are a requirement on every visit. The thought and care of into allergen information is very helpful. I wish there was an allergen chart outside with the ice cream descriptions to help make decisions when they are busy.

They even have a detailed list of allergy sensitive ingredients in all their flavors, which is awesome for anyone with food allergies.

Omg, if I could give this place 10 stars I would. Super big list of hard ice cream flavors and the servings are huge. I am in town for 3 weeks and will absolutely be back. Employees were super friendly and the serving was fast. Other than the calories there is no downside here.

One of my favorite places to visit in Maine! Their ice cream is so very delicious and their portions are very generous! Their waffle kiddie portion must have had close to a pint of ice cream in it! 😋 yummy!

Hands down the best Ice cream my husband and I have ever had. There were soooo many flavors. My husband got Almond Joy & I got blueberry crumble. Heaven in your mouth!! We both got them in their daily made waffle cones. The small was HUGE and the flavor was AMAZING!!!! If I lived in Maine it wouldnt be good for my weight because I would want to visit daily to try each and every flavor. The staff was very friendly and smiling the entire time. Super clean & warm. We come to Wells/Ogunquit every year and I am so sad we havent found this gem until now. Do yourself a favor & visit the Scoop Deck.

Delicious homemade ice-cream in literally dozens of flavors. Generous with sizes. Its always swamped in the summer evenings, so try to go before after dinner time or youll be in a line out to the road. Well worth the wait though.

Loved this place. The selection that is available is amazing. Every- body that works here seemed to have a great, friendly and positive attitude. I had a chocolate peanut butter frozen yogurt. My grandson had the Monster Crunch. To say the least it was delicious. Even though its a tad bit pricey, Ill still recommend this place.

Ice cream lovers rejoice at this place; what appears to be dozens of flavors and portions are *incredible*. a kiddie scoop is probably the size of a large at your average ice cream place outside. flavors of ice cream themselves were also quite good, with some quirky names like bear claw and black bear. decor is quite peculiar as well. highly recommended.

This place has been a long time family tradition and for that reason alone I will go everyone when I am in Wells. The price hikes over the last few years have been unreasonable. A jumbo is now over 10 dollars ice cream is great price is not.

Crazy generous ice cream serving sizes and sooo many flavors. For those with extreme allergies they offer pre-packed pints to reduce cross contamination. Highly recommend checking them out but anticipate a line. This place is poppin.

This place has a large variety of flavors and plenty of seating and parking. Unfortunately two major downsides are all their flaws irs potentially are contaminated with allergens eg tree nuts. So if you or a family have a sever allergy this will make it risky to eat there. Also it is cash only .

We were visiting Maine for a couple of days and after looking at high online ratings decided to check out this place. I am so glad we did. Scoop Deck has dozens of delicious ice cream choices, friendly staff, nice seating outside (loved fresh scent of their Lilacs), and overall it was a very pleasant experience. Come here, and come often. Life is too short not to have this indulgence on a beautiful sunny day.

Some of these reviews are really rude yes you must wear a mask ordering but you can eat socially distanced from the order window. if you order something larger than the people after you, they will more than likely serve them first because its quicker. basically all the one star reviews are karens. the ice cream is very good and they have flavors that i cant get where i live. the lines are long but its worth it. if you dont like it thats fine . the give you huge scoops. i got a 1 scoop and it was GIANT i couldnt finish it. MUST VISIT!

By far one of the best Ive Cream establishments in New England. Pay no attention to the recent low ratings due to having to wear a mask (gasp)...not sure what rock those two crawled out from under. Welcome to 2020! Been coming to Wells since I was 4 and for as long as I can remember vacation always included multiple trips to the Scoop Deck. Our beach house is walking distance from this business and I can’t say enough positive things about them!!! Always friendly, impeccably clean, and generous portion sizes are the norm here!!!

We travel fulltime and this is at the very top of our list of best ice cream places in the country! Fresh, high quality ice cream with unique flavors and amazing waffle cones will keep us coming back for more. And we feel so much safer coming here with everyone wearing face masks. Were so glad Scoop Deck is following protocol and insisting that customers wear masks in line as well. Thanks for keeping us safe and well fed!
