Awesome little Asian market.Google tells me what to think, twitter tells me what to say and Facebook tells me who I can say it to.
Im always finding new items to try. Along with a few reasonably priced bags of rice flour, I found some rice and pumpkin pasta.
Love this place. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
If youre like me and love making curry and finding random Japanese Kit Kats thus place is awesome
Favorite oriental store. Has everything I need to make hot pot, and the only place I know of to get my fav hot pot base. If you need help finding something, the workers are friendly and will do their best.
Truly enjoyed shopping here. Great selections.
One of the best asian markets in town👍🏼
I have always loved coming here, very good selection of things that are hard to find elsewhere, at much better prices as well. It is my go to place to pick up large quantities of rice at a good price.
Love this well stocked market! There is a wide variety of products to chose from.! Meats, seafood, fresh and frozen foods. There are sweet treats, snacks, vegetables, assorted rice, sauces, serving dishes, utensils, tea and other drinks to chose from. Friendly service, good prices. This is a one stop market for most items needed to make your favorite Asian cousine as well as other needed items International dishes!
The lady in front was very nice and helpful, they also have a great variety of food, candy and snacks!
I love the Mei Hua Market. They have a large space to display all the merchandise they have and it really reminds me of my second home of Xiamen, China. I can get most of what I usually ate over there like flowering cauliflower in the fresh produce area, pork and leek dumplings in the freezer section, milk tea in the refrigerated area, along with the many other snacks, spices, soups and grains. I dont get there often but when I do, it fills my heart with fond memories. Plus, the Lucky Bakery is right next door, which is a wonder in itself.
Love this location for Asian grocery items
Good place for live crabs
Everything your heart desires
I love coming here because I can always find something I havent tried before. They have a huge selection of products and even a back room where they sell the cutest plates/bowls Ive ever seen as well as other kitchen essentials.
Very nice selection of Asian foods, and extremely helpful staff!
Huge selection, great prices on veggies and frozen meats/seafood. Parking is convenient as well.
Cute little place with a huge selection of goods. My only problem was narrow aisles.
Tons of weird delicacies...nice little shop
Very good prices and selection of Asian food and bulk rice/soy sauce. Looks are decieving much bigger inside than it appears from the outside. The staff is also very friendly, attentive and helpful.
A little unorganized in presentation and accessibility. But offer a great variety. Pleasant staff
Everything we need to make great food fresh and healthy. Plus ➕ friendly! Too.
Ive done all my shopping for Asian food products here for several years. The owners are friendly and helpful. They are always stocked up on products and its quite a spacious store.
Very friendly! Variety! Love the assortment of fish
This Asian supermarket has good stuff. Some things I bought in China appear here but expensive. Also, it has less expired stuff than Pacific Produce (5455 27th St).This used to be only one block, but seems to me that they bought the property adjacent to it and made it part of the supermarket. They seem to also own the one adjacent to that one but it doesnt seem to be connected, its just for storage.
Love this place since I can get the freshest vegetables for asian cuisin (nappa, mung bean sprout etc) in Miwaukee area. The price is also very reasonable.
This grocery store has all the necessary authentic food!
Place is bigger than youd expect. Variety of selection and decent prices. I havent noticed any issue with expiration dates but I still check to be sure.
Love this store. I saw there shipment of rambutans came in and had to run in to get some. Also where I prefer to get my kimchi.
Crazy selection and friendly staff. Im sure its a fixture in the Asian community, but for a tourist like me, its fun to visit and buy new things to try.
We can find all of our favorite ingredients at this location.
Very helpful people, nice variety of products found no where else. Unusual produce.
Decent Asian market with mostly Chinese products. Its small so not a huge variety, but good enough.
A lot bigger tat it looks
Really wonderful selection of all sorts of stuff. Well laid out. Friendly staff
Great selection and prices. Don’t let the small size fool you, it’s compact, clean and has more variety than some other bigger markets in the area. My favorite asian grocer in the area.
Super friendly, awesome place for things you cant find anywhere else
Its small and the staff is friendly. They have lots of hard to find asian foods like frozen dumplings, ingredients for hot pot, and assortment of different asian vegetables.
Semi-regular visitors on our own or with international students. Of the area Asian markets, this one seems to have the greatest variety. We enjoy every visit.
Great prices, Wider selection. Great shopping experience. Staff is very helpful. Recommended!
Amazing store with everything specialty you could need for Asian traditional dishes even fresh butchered fish, sauces, peppers, mushrooms they have it all you will not be disappointed shopping here, you will always find something you need here
Huge freezer selection. I will definitely be returning.
Asking for cash instead of card !? Seriously in the middle of the COVID !!? Because they have a secret weird policy that they do not accept payment by card for Less than 10$ !& That’s not even written anywhere in the store. You just get surprised by the attitude at the cashier
Amazing selection of food and even a non-food section of kitchen supplies in the back. Full freezer section, small produce section with a lot of variety, small fresh seafood counter, large junk food section and entire back section of store devoted to dry goods. Dry section has everything from sauces, oils, dry noodles, preserved foods, and drinks. Good prices as well for all products. Only 4 star because customer service is iffy from cashier to cashier, some very nice. one time I waited for 2 min while the cashier literally made a phone call in front of me as Im standing there waiting for him to check me out at the counter. Didnt even acknowledge me.
It has reasonable selection of items I often stock in my cupboard. Prices is hit or miss. Some items are priced really well, and some on the high side of what I expected. Overall, it’s a convenient place to go if you can’t drive to Illinois.
Expanded selection. Very nice.
The staff were very helpful and I found everything I was looking for. They offer a huge variety of Asian ingredients and I got everything I needed to make pho. The only downside was that the store wasnt very clean.
I love cooking....and when I make Pad Thai or Bahn Mi I have to shop Here!! So much to choose from and great prices! The service was very too,!
The food came fast and it tasted good
Small and wasnt expecting much from it. Was surprised by the variety of things available here. Usually have a hard time finding wood ear mushrooms but this place had them. Nice selection of fresh vegetables and fish really put this place over the top compared to other smallish store of this kind. You normally have to go to Pacific Produce for those things.
Many selections, friendly staff, well organized store.
Had exactly what I needed for an unexpected Asian inspired supper!
This is an excellent Asian grocery. Reasonable prices. Good selection. Reasonable staff. Clean. A convenient size.
I found absolutely everything I was looking for to make tteokbokki, along with lots of other fun goodies. Great prices on everything, friendly staff, amazing selection of frozen, fresh, and shelf-stable items. Will be back often!
So many things I didnt know I wanted wrapped in a little market full of very kind and helpful people
Interesting place, lots of unique produce and a huge selection of frozen dumplings and pot stickers.
Standard Chinese grocery store. Good selection of packaged and canned foods. They also thinly slice beef and lamb for hotpot. The produce is variable, they dont seem to get daily deliveries, so sometimes they are fresh, but other times they have clearly been sitting there a while. You just have to be careful when youre shopping.None the less, its one of the only Chinese grocery stores nearby, and gets the job done.
They have what we need and prices are fair.
I always love coming here. The prices are good and the new expansion has added even more variety.
Great selection of wonderful food! So any noodles and tasty snacks!
I have to say the Asian community in Milwaukee is small, so its hard to find a big Asian grocery store. This is my favorite Asian market around, and covers all essentials. As mentioned by other reviewers, you need to be careful when checking expiration dates. I personally feel they are doing much better now. One reminder, most Chinese groceries mark manufacturing date instead of expiration date. If you cant read Chinese to double check, simply ask people around you.
Well-stocked Asian market - frozen, fresh, canned goods from many places. Even live seafood.
Friendly employees, theyll answer any questions you have and help you find anything you need. Great selection of products!
Lots of different Asian foods and very good prices on fresh produce! My new go-to for homemade pho ingredients.
Love this market, even though its small its got a lot of products to choose from
Friendly staff, all staff is masked and Covid prepared.
This was my first time visit the Mei Hua Market. Very impressed.
They carry a great assortment of food - fresh, frozen, canned, etc. Very helpful if you cant find an item.
OK typical Chinese supermarket. Can improve with smiles and cleanliness but it may never happen.
Its a very good market. The owner and other workers are nice.
Love this place. Great products. Produce is always fresh
Nice Chinese grocery. Many foods, Vegs, you will get the Chinese stuff you miss. A little dis-organized.
If you love Asian cuisine and food and spices this is the place
It has a reasonable selection. It is kind of dirty. It has some live sea food available like tilapia and crabs. The prices are reasonable.
Very good selection. Friendly staff.
Found what I needed had to look for it but its all there many other items for traditional Chinese/Asian cooking fresh sea food staff is nice the smell is a bit much for me but I guess thats the traditional al market smell in Asia been to one I know many fresh items
Great Asian grocery. Clean and well stocked
This Asian market started out small but it just expanded! Like Viet Hoa, it looks small on the outside but is huge inside! Prices are pretty good compared to Pacific produce.
Best place to get my greens!
Best prices in town and now best selection after recently expanding floor area!
A well-stocked local Asian market with a good selection of produce, sauces, meats, seafood, and packaged goods. A go-to grocery stop
Nice selection but the prices are so high compared to Pacific on 27th and Morgan. Plus the selection is nothing compared to Pacific. Just go to Pacific
Good variety....
Love this store. Best noodles for Pho! Huge variety
We hit up MH every two weeks to replenish the necessities. Good selection of Chinese staples and difficult to find spices/sauces. Good folks...very kind and friendly.
With the closure of Rhino food on Hampton ave, we can been looking for a alternate south Asian groceries store, Mei Hua is a decent place with a lot of Asian stuff. It is not as big as Pacific Produce but it is a close second.
You can always find what you need. Dont need to go to Chicago to get it. Fresh produce.
Best Asian market around. Mix of fresh and imported boxed goods. Owners are running the registers. Prices are fair. I stop in once a week.
Beautiful produce. Fresh meats. Wide variety of foods and spices. Large frozen selection. Great prices. Clean. Wonderful people.
Im always on the look out for great ethic places. Having visited Chinatown, IL I was looking for something similar in the area and boy did I find it at Mei Hua Market.Staff is very friendly and willing to answer any questions and they dont judge if you arent chinese or not. I was surprised how large the market was much like what you would consider a size of Aldis. Great selections of different foods ranging from frozen to fresh (and I do mean fresh as in alive) to all kinds of noodles. My favorite items are the different teas they have both in bottle/can form as well as teabags. I visit now almost regularly and whats even better is around the corner is a great bakery with yummy treats. You cant go wrong. And pricing was cheap compared to actual grocery stores.
It has diffrreny kinds of food that we needed. Locste in a good area and decent prices. However, it can be cramp for a crat cuz kf.the small isles.
Has pretty much what you need in Chinese groceries. Nice people.
Its a good Asian market all around.
They pretty much have everything here. Frozen, produce, supplies, blue crab and various fish, tea, rice, condiments, dried goods and more.
Wide selection of groceries. One of the best markets around town
Went here recently, and after I got home and unloaded my groceries, I noticed more than half of the items I bought were expired over a year. Also the woman at the register was on the phone arguing with a debt collector while checking me out. Probably the most sad, and awkward Asian market Ive been to. Well, at least they have a good mochi selection (although its probably expired).
Very nice and friendly and helpful people. Had a bunch of Filipino foods and other countries as well.
Clean, new Asian grocery with fresh specialty produce, seafood and all the staples.
They expanded, apparently! I had trouble finding the rice vinegar until I realized they had a new section! Yay! They had everything I needed.
