This store is just OK for Chinese shopper. Not many Thais or Vietnamese items. Mostly in Chinese which I cant read .... Prices are higher than other stores. Even higher than Woodmans store.
Great collection of fishes and food items. More clean area would make it best
Very nice ladies help me look for my tea and they have lots of good food and seafood
Very well stocked Asian grocery store. Their sea food collection is pretty huge, both fresh and frozen. Price is very reasonable. I always buy shrimp from here. Good quality vegetables and fruits. Staff are not rude. The whole store is packed with fresh produce, frozen items, snacks, noodles, sauce, utensils etc.
Awesome placeVery hard to find foods
Id rate this a 5 but they arent always stocked on popular items...CORONA OR ???
Good fruit and live seafood
Asian speciality produce, groceries, seasonings, noodles, seafood (live, frozen, fresh or dried) of all types and other meat and meat products are stocked to the ceiling together with kitchen gadgets and so many more speciality items. Very helpful staff to help you find whatever you are looking for. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Filipino and more types of food and food related items, gifts, kitchen gadgets and sundries.
The place for hot pot supplies
Good price on fish, service is acceptable. There is a bit of a language barrier at the butcher shop, but the manager is quick to assist with any questions. Id recommend this place to buy fish and other groceries.
Looks are decieving. The market is in the corner and is huge inside. They sell it all. Fresh, frozen, and the dishes to cook and serve on.Amazing selection of frozen foods. By far the largest Ive ever seen. Aisles worth. Terrific selection of fresh produce with competitive pricing. This is my go to grocery for all my Asian influence foods!! Fresh, live crabs...$2 for blues. Amazing! Lots of fresh seafood. Decent selection of meats. Even fresh duck, quail eggs, and more. Two aisles with seasonings and spices. I am the spice/season gal and this market has you covered with crazy low prices.Lots of gadgets, tools, accessories, pots, pans, plates, cups, tea pots, and so much more. The aisles are not wide. The shelves are piled high. There is a LOT in this store.Dont be in a rush when you go. Take your time and find all the goodies. If you love cooking Asian influenced foods... Ill tease you with a price. 16 ounces of sesame oil for under $4! Crazy prices right? Go have fun! Tofu, bean sprouts, and cabbages are crazy deals also.
Love the selection they have & especially considering I love trying new drinks!
Good place to get seafood
Convenient neighborhood grocery store near my home. Lots of fresh vegetable. Liked their precooked deli items but no fresh date.. several times purchase duck or chicken that was not made recent that was spoiled. They have live fish, crab, eel, frog etc.
Wow! This place is cool! Like being in China
Employees were very helpful
It was kind of neat. Pretty cluttered though. They had a lot of items, meats and produce, that you wouldnt really find anywhere else. Ranging from durian to fresh frog legs and eel and cuttlefish, they have a lot. They also have a smorgasbord of fresh items in tanks. Things like fresh fish to eels to crabs and lobster. The main issue I have and it took this from a four to a two star (I even thought about one star) is they had a lot of dead animals mixed in with their live animal tanks. Almost half of the crabs were dead. Many of the lobsters were and i couldnt honestly tell if any of the eels were alive. You can not have live animals eating off the dead ones, even if they are bottom dwellers like crabs and lobsters.
I have bought fresh durian from their store for $ 14.99 for 1lbs. but for $ 14.99 its for fresh durian. But when i bought it back was frozen durian and they took it from the freezer and sold at a very high price. Frozen durian only sells for $ 4.99 for 1lbs. They sell like 3 times more expensive. And they usually charge you more cheating when you buy a lot. Be careful when you shop at this store.and check that your invoice is completely correct for the price
Awesome selection but can be a bit overwhelming for a novice (me)
Good selection and you can buy more Taiwanese products here.
I live this place. I found a lot of things that I havent found at other Asian supermarkets. One particular find is all the varieties of dumplings, buns, and tofu. Super excited about the tofu. Plus their fresh produce area is bigger than other places Ive been too in the area.
Smells a bit fishy. But they have some great deals on things that I cant find any place else
Fresh market everything here really fresh and reasonable price
Decent selection albeit chaotic
Great experience
Very unique store. Huge selection of imported frozen and dry goods. Great and exotic selection of veggies. Live fish, crabs, snails and more.Dozens of hot pot mixes, drinks, candy, snacks, spices, even cookware.Nothing is over priced, every thing weve tried has been good. The shelves are labeled in English just in case the item isnt.If youre looking for something you cant find elsewhere, or just want to try something new, this is a great stop.
They carry live blue crabs! Some good Asian fresh foods.
Convenient location and a nice clean store. Like most Asian groceries the isles are small, checkouts slow, and they are COLD in winter. They have a much wider selection than any other Asian grocery in terms of meats and produce. Its amazing what you will find there!
Sold us spoiled soymilk. Went to exchange it and was rejected because they said that product wasnt from here. When in actuality we just bought it from them 48 hrs prior. Sometimes doing the right thing is hard for these people and I just dont get it. Reported to health department.
They sold me expired seafood,I wish I Could give them a zero . I bought crawfish from this place today (it was froze from the fresh ones they sale) I couldn’t even eat them, the crawfish were OLD and I’m sure hazardous. The Crawfish meat even crumbled and was cloudy when I tried to open a few to see if they were ok (NO I DIDN’T DIGEST ANY) .Although I took the tiniest piece of a cooked one soon and it touched my tongue I gagged (tasted like mold as old seafood ) I feel they knew the crawfish were bad and still put them in the freezer to be sold as if they were some good. Do you all even realize how dangerous it is to sale expired food let alone OLD TAINTED seafood . I’m an avid crawfish/seafood eater and this place should be shame of themselves the health department really needs to pay them a visit.
Ok
I was looking for some fairly traditional Asian staples that you cannot find at a regular grocery store so looked up Asian Markets on Google. I got the find of my life time in the New Asian Supermarket! I started cooking serious Chinese food about 45 years ago when I moved to Madison, was happy but could not always find everything I wanted to experiment with. I walked into the New Asian Supermarket and immediately fell in love. Any and everything I had always wanted to try was there, I am not joking. All these years I have been looking for something called caul fat, and there it was, Utopia! Being from the Northwest I was shocked to find geoduck clams in this store, a bit pricey but well worth the $25/lb price when you havent had one in 30 years or more! They have everything that I could ever want from an Asian grocery store, in fact I forgot one item, Red Bean Sauce, so my son went the next day and purchased it for me...he is also a cook and loved the store as much as I did. If you only speak English, dont worry, all the workers are very pleasant and will take you to the cash register where the young lady will direct you or tell the worker where to take you. You will love this market if you like to cook Asian dishes as much as I do! Plus it is very clean, dont be surprised at seeing chicken feet, etc. when looking in the meat case, they are great because they hold a lot of flavor and are full of gelatinous-rich ingredients! I was going East on W. Oklahoma Ave. and missed the store the first time, the store is located on the right side of the little mall on W Oklahoma so turn right on S.108th street, it is located in the corner of the L of of shops. Look for the green metal roof overhang!
Awesome selection of ramen type packaged soups.
Great selection of fresh crab and sauces and noodles also great mushrooms 😀
Lots of variety, fresh, pickled, teas, candies, housewares. Thank you! Only frustration was checking out, there were three items I had to wait for a price check. But will be back. Thank you!
Wish it would say in English on the labels what it is and ingredients. Sometimes a picture is enough though
This place is the best, not just for Asian specialty items but frozen and live seafood, fresh vegetables and of course all sorts of unique ingredients. The truly best part is their pricing is sometimes half what you would pay at pick n save for the same quality or better.
More fresh and clean comparing to any other local Asian grocery places.
Great spot for a wide variety of authentic Asian food
It feels like to be in Asia was different but nice
Felt welcomed and everyone was helpful. Good selection of ingredients forbany new dish yoibwant to try. Fresh fish, durian fruits, frozen seafood. They have it!
Great selection of Asian food. Good selection of sea food and vegetables.
If youre looking for something in particular for your Asian inspired meal, youll find it here.
Good selection of ingredients. The live seafood area smelled pretty bad. Not a bad place if you need Asian ingredients
Hard to find produce and products can be found here. Huge ramen selection. Some cookware available as well like woks, soup spoons, rice cookers. Love the variety and selection.
Don’t be scared of the smell, they have lots of live seafood in the tanks. Good selections of things.
Slow trying to check out, lack of cashiers.
I live right by this market and I absolutely love it. Ive tried so many new things and the produce and kimchee are fresh and delicious. There is also a live fish market in the back. Will continue to go often.
It was not open. Open sign on. Goggle said it was open.
Great prices, clean, and good selection. If needing Thai ingredients this is the place to go. Fresh produce and noodles, has a cold case with premade items (Papaya Salad...), and selection of frozen goods.
The moment I walked into the store it has a unique odor rushing into my nostril.
Be sure to check expiration dates! The only issue I have. Other then that great custumer service. The best asian market in Milwaukee.
Very wide variety.
They have a great store, with awesome tea coffee, snacks, honey, energy drinks, and everything Ive gotten there, was top quality. They are very keen on giving due respect, the staff are extremely knowledgeable, and the store is as sanitary as any that I have seen. They Are The Best Grocer Ive seen. Next is the As in market in 76th and Fon Du lac.
Wow, what an incredible selection of authentic Asian food! Amazing!
All you need to make fried rice and sushi. They also have live crabs and fish to get.
Amazing collection of Asian food, cooking supplies.
I liked this store the first time I shopped here. But the second time, I was disappointed on the vegetables. They didnt look great.
Prices were ok compared to Chinatown. Would have been nice to have teh Tarik n glutenous rice
Horrible customer service from cashier. Seems she doesnt like other nationalities other than Asian.
Chinese grocery. Slot if ready to eat food. The cashier is friendly always give us a bottle of tea or cookie when check out.
Good selection of foods, customers service is lacking. Cashier make you wait a while to pay for your items because shes too busy putting together an other for some else.
Always find what I need and very friendly and helpful staff. Fresh and delicious food!
Huge place!!! Lots of selection!!! Good prices. Will go back for specialty items.
Really good if you like to try something new in the kitchen.love it.
My favorite of 3 Asian markets in the area. They dont always have everything Id like but overall good selection, good prices, and easy to shop at.
Awesome selection of Asian food. Lots of live fish and other live food. Great prices.
Variety of seafood.
Lots of hard to find items, need improvement in fresh veggies selections/quality.
This place was very nice, clean, and smelled good. Staff was friendly and helpful!!
Great place to buy stickey rice
As a whole, gregarious asian imports are quirky...
Doesnt feel clean and it smells. Feels more like a storage room
This store stinks horribly.Bring a mask.
Authentic Chinese food and ingredients! Clean environment, friendly people! You will love it.
Great atmosphere, fresh produce, genuine Asian products.
Very cool authentic store!!
Great prices for lobsters- you wont believe it
Awesome place to adventure and find weird stuff that probably wont find in a normal supermarket. Dunno if the smell was something rotten or durian fruit.
Great selection
It smells terrible of bad seafood
A friend Jim Mitchell got some cans of Fried dace in black beans for me there. I have never been there. But will some day. Neil Ostberg,Slinger,Wis.
Very good food. Not so good bathroom
They have everything you need at super prices. Our go to Asian store.
Went in and bought some soup bowls. It wasnt busy and they seem to have alot of Asian food.
I loved how tasty the candies are.
Very big selection of Asian food.
Ok Asian grocery. Probably better than all other around Milwaukee, but still not a lot of options.
Has tons of cool and adventurist stuff.
Great place, smells like 🐟
I found a Kabocha squash here, something I have been looking for in farmers markets and regular grocery stores. I also got a Daikon radish, another hard to find veggie. I didnt get enough time to explore this store, as it was about to close, but I cant wait to go back. I give it 4 stars only because it seems rather old.
Awesome
All kinds of stuff you can find here
I get my Seaweed from there love the seaweed fresh raw unsalted I put a slimy cup of that in my smoothies
Its different than other stores
Nice little exotic food shop
