Just visited this location and had a wonderful experience with Elle who was working the front counter. Her personality was bright and inviting and it was a pleasure interacting with her. This was my first time visiting an Ulta for purchasing hair products and my experience with Elle will be solely responsible for any future returns. I LOVE ULTA! My best friend gave me a gift card for my bday because she knows I love to take care of my skin & makeup! Its always nice to know when the workers care about making sure you find something that’s definitely for your skin!

Rude staff, one of the employees kept following me like I am going to steal. I was just browsing around because I mostly purchase online and use the rewards points in person. I guess it was almost time for the store to close but there were still customers inside. I was checking some products and said employee comes and tells me in a rude way WE ARE CLOSED, YOU NEED TO LEAVE.Like seriously? I asked him what was his problem-- Well the manager apologized for him. But wow, zero customer service skills, even if thats a first job. The other employee was trying to make up for his bad attitude.Not coming here again. Would rather go to the one in Mid-City or even Sephora.

Look for: Very good brands, deals at times, loyalty program, not so bad prices. Decent inventoryService: Can be scary. Will you get a nice girl, a mean girl or an absolute diva? Great selection. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. The prices are not bad considering its convenient location and selection. I got an expensive led mirror and the cashier told me she was happy with hers too. I took it home and she was right - the model is great! I can successfully practice my makeup techniques with it because it is well designed. I like this because its clear she wasnt just trying to make a sale.

Lilit is great! Very professional. She does wonders with my curly hair! She cuts and blow fry’s it with perfection!

This review is for The Salon at Ulta Beauty.I was much overdue for a haircut and because Im very picky about who cuts my hair it took me a while to research and find a place to give a try for the first time. I decided to give this place a try and booked an appointment withLILIT. Im glad I did! She is a true expert and professional at cutting hair. Layering hair takes a lot of skill and she nailed it. Both my husband and I had our hair cut by her and are very happy with the outcome!Bravo!So, I wrote a review for the salon back in 2020 and this is an update. The last haircut I got was great and reflected in my last review of this place.I received another haircut today by TIFFANY.You know how youre playing cards and a card gets trumped by another card? Well, thats the situation here. The last stylist was great, but this one was above and beyond. Im still at awe about how little I explained and how accurately she nailed how I wanted my haircut. Im an extremely picky person about pretty much everything and what was interesting was that when I sat in my chair I explained to her what I thought I wanted by showing her a picture of a style of hair, but then she very kindly mentioned to me the actual technical cut and what it would feel and look like based on the picture and then I explained to her in words rather than an image of what I was looking for....and literally a min later she knew. She just knew. After the wash and an amazing scalp massage she proceeded to cut my hair.....and I can honestly say that she got what I wanted 100%....not 90...not 95....a perfect 100%.She was professional, friendly and an expert and surprisingly affordable. The cut I got with the stylist before was the price of a senior stylist and much pricier and paid more, but for reasons unknown to me Tiffany is a Junior stylist at this particular salon, but I liked her cut better.Thank you TIFFANY! Keep it up girl.

The blonde woman working at the register yesterday late morning (8/28) was sooo patient and nice! i asked for her thoughts and opinions on product choices and she helped me out with that. then after i forgot to have my coupon and needed to pull it up she was very chill about giving me a minute to do so. thanks a lot :-)

We did not have a pleasurable experience at this Ulta . Security kept following us and the cashier was extremely rude. It was super uncomfortable and unwelcoming.

The worst retail service I’ve ever had in my life. They orders something for me and can’t provide a tracking number to me. According to the manager. I’ll never shop here again.

Wide variety of different products. They had everything I needed and of course more!!!

The store is organized and easy to navigate. SO MANY PRODUCTS. Its impressive the amount of beauty products they have (hair, skin, makeup, etc). Employees offered help but were not pushy at all which I appreciated.They only negative thing was check out took a really long time considering there were not many customers.

Theres a fair complected petite alt girl with colored hair there. She is the nicest and she was very patient. I didnt need a lot of help but I was indecisive lol. I went in for a setting powder and left with concealer, eyeshadow palette, setting powder, glitter... A full face basically. The lady security there was really cool too. She regularly patrolled and she looked intimidating in the best way but she had a really warm smile when I entered and left. The staff is just perfect.

Most of these reviews are about Ulta in general and not this location which is pretty unfair.The staff here are very knowledgeable and very nice every time I go in. I’ve never had an issue here that was due to the service of the employees. It’s not their fault you’re cheap and want them to do things with coupons that it says in fine print they can’t do. Plain and simple. I’ve witnessed some crazy experiences here and the employees have always handled it with grace and continued to serve others as if it never happened.Great job to this team!

Nice stuff, they do need more hair colors

I had a great customer service experience with them. When I first went in the staff was helpful in helping me find the product I had come for. Unfortunately, when I got it home and then opened it, I realized it was very much expired. So I went back today and the girl at the cashwrap was friendly and exchanged my eye cream for me right away with no trouble. She even went and got it for me, and opened it for me to make sure it was fresh! Good and easy experience!

Theres people who can help you to find all your beauty supplies.

The manager Chris was a great help and gave me kind treatment to allow my purchases to go further! She made sure I was taken care of and I greatly appreciate it. From one store manager to another, kudos!

This was my first Ulta experience, and it was very disappointing. The store was dirty, the displays were disorganised, and a lot of the more popular brands were extremely low on stock.The staff were friendly and welcoming, however, I didn’t see any direction from the manager to have staff tidy, wipe displays, clean the products etc, rather than stand around chatting.

Didn’t have what I was looking for though the website made it like it did.

The staff here is awesome. They are incredibly helpful and will do everything they can to help you find what you want. Their prices are good, and they carry a wide variety of products. At this location, however, they have a very small selection of haircoloring products. But if you are looking for makeup, their selection is outstanding.

Great staff and this store is right next to target and a food court. Store is usually in stock for most items but items are tightly squeezed together since its small compared to newer locations

One of the staff in the store was really helpful, but the the cashier was NOT even courteous. We billed $150 and had to ask for samples, and she did not even give us a choice. The store was near to closing time and it felt like she wanted us out soon.Overall a really disappointing experience after a very happy shopping.

I love Ulta! Even though I make my own body creams and different items I still love Ulta for their perfumes and hair products. I love the gift items at Christmas

The worst beauty store Ive ever been to (specific to the 7100 Santa Monica Blvd location). Very messy and dirty. There werent testers available and the staff wasnt helpful or friendly.

I like the store and their extensive merchandise. Unfortunately all three times Ive visited this location there has been drama between the management and the customers. In one instance a customer was accused by one of the employees of shoplifting when in fact the customer hadnt done so but unfortunately the whole drama unfolded in front of all the other customers in the store tarnishing everyones experience.

You are already beautiful before you enter this store. I give Ulta 4 stars. You are the 5th star. 💞 They have cruelty free which I love!

I thought that this would be more like a Sephora but it was not. I felt like I was in a drugstore without a Pharmacy. If theyre trying to compete with Sephora they are doing a terrible job. Sorry I will always go back to Sephora because they know exactly what Im looking for.

Fast service

This place made me feel uncomfortable as if I was going to steal. At one point all staff was standing around so close to me. I have a career and make good money. If I want to steal, Ill make sure I rob a bank and not some 30 dollar foundation. Im going to return what I bought and purchase at sephora. They make me feel at home.

LOL ... maybe its just me (I have an established, low-maintenance beauty routine and am not super glam) but Im 0/3 in regards to good experiences here. I found what I wanted on the third try, and the process wasnt an ordeal or anything. But for whatever reason I have much better luck getting product advice, customer service, and generally adult-to-adult conversation with the people who work at Walgreens and Sephora. The price points for Ultas drugstore and high-end markets are about as same as those two stores, respectively -- so unless Ulta has something the other stores dont and I am fully committed to trying it, I would rather not take on the hassle.

Awful place. Unfriendly staff and cluttered shelves. Youre better off going to Sephora

Their customer service is terrible. Not one associate was accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable, or pleasant. The store was not busy. Locations in Burbank, North Ridge, and Glendale have been more helpful/knowledgeable. Disappointed in service. Will not use this location again.

I really loved this place because it has a lot of options and different makeup brands, you can also find great deals on some products. However the employees arent nice at all and they are SO superficial! If you go there and need basic help theyll treat you like you are less and not worth of it. I was very disappointed.

Customer service is the worst, their employees treat you like a shoplifter just following you around but not offering to help. Every time I go in there the security guard has to follow me, I get it its their job but I am spending money every time I go. This just make me so uncomfortable and I usually just go grab what I need and leave, cant even browse in peace.

I went to Ulta Beauty for a blow dry and I really loved the result for the price I paid, which is great compared to regular hair salons. The store is also a paradise for anyone who loves beauty.

They have a large selection including cruelty free. However its one of those stores where no one offers you help, yet expects you to get get their credit card. The atmosphere is peculiar depending on who is hangover and who is on a cleanse.

The absolute rudest staff I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED AT AN ULTA there was two checkers the lady looked at me and said he will be with you soon. Like why didnt you check me out right then and there? I wait anyways and she comes back 2 minutes later and she said i can get you now AFTER SHE FINISHED HER IMPORTANT CONVERSATION.Then my sister in law checks out i have already made my purchase and im standing with her and the guy says um can i help you? I said no. Im with her?Anyways customer service sucks here.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I literally was in there for 15 minutes asking the staff to get me a product that wasnt on display, and the woman at the front promised to call someone to help me, so I stood there waiting and they NEVER CAME. I said, Im still waiting, and no one seemed to care. The other woman working there said, We are actually understaffed today. It seems like every time I go in there they are UNDER STAFFED. iM SICK OF THE SERVICE HERE. IT IS SO AWFUL.
