Kind of sad when you have to give a store only 3 stars, but it would have been 1 star except for 1 employee, Raymond. The store is always a mess, always out of stock on many things, the pharmacy double charged me not once but on 2 separate occasions, etc, etc. Only reason Im writing this review is to thank Raymond for being their best and most caring employee, when the rest are either unhelpful or unfriendly. Kudos to Raymond!

My child needed an urgent prescription due to an allergic reaction. The pharmacy was out of stock which is not a huge big deal but when I tried to call and find out where I could get it they put me on hold for 25 mins. I called back and told them I had been waiting and it was a reaction. They told me they had 5 customers and put me back on hold. After 10 mins they came back and said sorry I have 15 customers in front of me. … pretty much, yah bye. I have been CVS and heard this pharmacist say they same thing in person. Sorry you’re too busy to service patients.Well that’s fine. My business can go elsewhere.

I went in about 2 weeks again and there was a very rude gentleman I think his name was Manuel working. He was intrusive and really made me feel uncomfortable as I stood in line to return items. He gave me really bad vibes. Unfortunately, I will not be shopping here as much because this guy was rude! Manuel needs to trained on how to talk to customers and stop screening people to go to the Self pay machines. He was rude and lacked savvy.

Wow! Folks can truly choose to be harsh, can’t they. Sometimes I wonder about some of the reviews that I read and help some folks just choose to be mad, get mad, stay mad. It seems when I go into this CVS specifically, there’s a number of disgruntled customers. I think would be kind of hard to keep a smile on my face, too, looking out and seeing a bunch of unhappy mugs with their arms folded and their eyes rolling. Privileged? Entitled? Who’s to say? The workers, those behind the counter are doing what they can to get us our meds.They seem to always be hustling. I’m grateful. If you plan ahead, your prescriptions will be ready and waiting for you. If that’s not enough, CVS will have them delivered right to your doorstep.There are always solutions.Jill- keeping doing what you’re doing and look good doing it. (Hair. Toss.) Friendly staff who were able to answer all our queries regarding acceptable medication for a sick breastfeeding mother. Has all the necessities you could need too. Homeless who hang around here can be a bit uncomfortable however.

This is the most poorly run cvs i have ever been to. It’s a shyt show. They had me wait an hour for a perscription. They told me it was ready, they then charged me for it, and then told me they didn’t have the prescription afterall. Complete disaster operated by incompetent people.

This CVS pharmacy is in a Target Store and they have twice given me 90 day supply after I asked them not to do just that but they like to play doctor there and getting a 90 day supply of the kind of medication that I have to take is just plain crazy especially after I asked them NOT to do it! So stay away, far away from there

A pharmacy is an extension of the health and wellness experience. CVS at 8491 Santa Monica Blvd. fails abysmally due to pharmacist Jill Kolin who openly discriminated against myself a person with disability on two separate occasions. CVS corporate was notified of both incidences as well as the State Department. This person should absolutely be terminated.

Only giving a 3 because the pharmacy manager Harut Urfalyan is one of the nicest, most helpful, kind and patient pharmacists I have ever met. Unfortunately, one of the staff pharmacists Joanne Pham is incredibly unpleasant. This cvs is the one I get ALL my prescriptions from so I know the staff pretty well at this point. Joanne being rude and in a bad mood is not an isolated occurrence. Every single time I have dealt with her in the past year she has been rude, short, cold, inpatient and unwilling to answer to questions. I was prescribed a vaccine by my doctor and she refused to administer it. She asked me why he prescribed it and then did not want to hear my answer, even though she asked for an explanation. She then asked to speak to him, so I got him on the phone but she refused to speak to him through my phone and insisted he needed to call her directly. My doctor asked if she could call him because he is incredibly busy but she refused. All this because she needs an explanation as to WHY he chose to prescribe this. I understand this might be because of certain policies the pharmacy has but she constantly seems to be bothered by everyone and talks to people in such a condescending way without offering any explanation as to why things are a certain way. I am not one to complain and have never written a bad review for any business before because I know anyone can have an off day but EVERY SINGLE TIME I deal with Joanne Pham she is rude, short, inpatient, seems to be bothered by everything and does not like to answer questions. Even when I have questions about my prescriptions I have to dig so much to get any information out of her. Extremely unhelpful and unpleasant to deal with.

I’ve had the same experience with a middle aged blonde pharmacist as many other reviewers. She was aggressive and demanded the doctor RE-sign off on my prescriptions before releasing them. At first I thought it was good to have someone regulating but after the second time, when I really needed my medication... and she refused to give it to me without talking to my doctor, I was done. My doctor even commented that her issues with my prescription was odd as well and I have since changed pharmacies.

There is a rude and obnoxious pharmacist named Jill who looks like she hates her job. I’ve watched her put co-workers down in front of a line of customers. Most importantly, this person needs to review the HIPPA Act. I’m not disclosing the details on this platform for legal reasons however I suggest any person who feels like she has violated any of your rights needs to contact the Office for Civil Rights and CVS corporate representatives. I’m taking my business elsewhere where employees are professional, courteous and follow federal laws!

I never write reviews however this CVS pharmacy really deserves it. I can understand the long lines and waiting on hold for a couple hours.. But I seriously draw the line when it comes to the older blonde pharmacist Jill being condescending and flat out rude by insisting she knows more about my medication than me or my doctor and denying a refill of my prescription ! Lady STAY IN YOUR LANE and behave like a pharmacist. YOU ARE NOT A DOCTOR. You also have no right treating people the way you do. If you can’t handle the volume of people, transfer to another store and don’t ever take it out on customers! As long as “Jill” is employed here my Doctor recommended I switch pharmacies, which was my plan anyway.

Great experience for me at the pharmacy! The younger gentleman with great hair working the Consultation station today (11/21/19) was super polite, attentive, and fast! I was in and out in 15 minutes, and I was a walk-in! He recognized my name from when I was on hold earlier and the call got dropped. I wish all pharmacists could be like this, very customer-service friendly. I didn’t catch his name but I hope he gets the recognition he deserves.

The blonde pharmacist likes to play doctor. On two separate occasions refused to give me my medication. Once because she said she didn’t think it’d mix well with my other meds (my doc said it was fine) and the other I took too long to pick up my refill... she basically said that bc I wasn’t taking the highest recommended dosage that my doc was gonna have to switch the prescription. After that I decided to stop going there bc she clearly has control issues and I do not have time for that. The younger middle eastern looking pharmacist is great thou.. but I’d rather not take my chances dealing with that woman ever again.

Calling ahead is impossible- they don’t answer the phone in the pharmacy and just now Joanne in the pharmacy was extremely rude to me once she did answer the phone and mocked me. I don’t leave a lot of reviews but this really bothered me because I hold a pharmacy technician to the same standards I hold other medical professionals but clearly that is not the case at this location or at least with this employee. She should not be permitted access to customers moving forward without an extensive retraining.

I have called this pharmacy multiple times on multiple days and have had to wait on the phone for 30 minutes and still have not been able to talk to anyone. This is the only place that has my prescription drug near me and I can’t get a hold of them to get my medicine. Going to the actual store is not much help either their service SUCKS!

The Staff is very knowledgeable and work as a professional TEAM. The Staff is very professional and when approached in a decent manner, will multi task and tell you where or SHOW you exactly where the item you are looking for is located in the store. People complain about the elevator. THERE IS A NUMBER TO CALL, it’s been that way for over 30yrs. It’s energy efficient and works just fine unless you’re one of the persons kicking it, to avoid catching covid-19. The store is always stocked! Clean and very well managed. For those of you who do NOT want the receipts, get a “STORE/SHOPPING”email to forward them to! Durrr... It’s 2020!!! Get with the email program and save a tree! How have people survived and still able to type a bad review for their lack of educating themselves, jeez! The store and pharmacy are one of the best CVS brand representatives in the area. Be kind. Be Nice. Appreciate everyone for the jobs you help create and sustain! Without them we’d have nowhere to complain about systems and equipment that is NOT the hard working EMPLOYEES fault or in their control. This pharmacy is extremely difficult, when it comes to filling your medications. Ive had several occasions where theyve denied filling an RX before it was due, because I was leaving the country for work.. Every time, they ask me to bring in documentation and have my doctor call. But sometimes, I come in with all of the aforementioned and they say they need [fill in the blank]. So I get that, and then they need [fill in the blank]. And after making several trips to the pharmacy, with everything theyve requested; Ive still had certain pharmacists deny the early refill.I had a new medication prescribed to me, because the old one wasnt working, and they denied it because the dosage was too high. I speak with my doctor every month. He calls to make sure the medications are doing what theyre supposed to do. He knows my medical background and life-story. He knows what I deal with on a day to day basis. But for some reason, a person I just met (the pharmacist), thinks she knows better than my own doctor about what I should be taking...I would avoid this pharmacy at all cost. Theyre rude, judgmental, and assert their own opinions - without having an iota of knowledge about what goes on in your life.

This is the BEST CVS of all time. I have been going there for years and the people are always no nice and KIND. I have had to go to many pharmacies of late (sadly) and this one is the BEST OF ALL OF THEM - and you can also shop at Target if you need to wait. Kudos to the long time staff there.

I’m really dissatisfied with the pharmacy. I went to pick up my prescription, they didn’t have it and had to order it in, I received the text saying my order was ready for pick up a few days later, I went in and they didn’t have it (even though they said their systems indicate they do?) so they’re making me go through that process again. Luckily it’s something I can wait on, but I can’t imagine if this was a more important medication. Recommend going elsewhere.

If you are looking for a minute clinic this is a very good one. The nurse practitioner Aaron is so accommodating and easy going. He has a warm and gracious manner that put me at ease. Which means the world of difference when I was in so much pain with an ear infection and throat virus that was going around. Comfort and caring helps heal too!I recommend holding your place in line online. when I arrived I signed in and I didnt wait a minute!

Will at the pharmacy was extremely professional and has a great memory. I sat there for an hour because of an error my doctor had made with my prescription and he constantly checked up on me while maintaining a very professional attitude. He tried to reach my doctor in order to fill my prescription. He was persistent and very caring about helping me out, I also noticed that he continued to treat every customer with the same helpful attitude. I would always come to this pharmacy if it werent so far from home.

I’ve been on the same medications for over 10 years. I recently moved back to Los Angeles and was so pleasantly surprised to find a medical practice that treated me so well and understood my ailments. I had been withdrawing from my medications for about 5 days when I was able to get an appointment and was very close to going to the hospital (as I was risking having a seizure and/or stroke due to the withdrawals associated with my particular meds).My doctor wrote an urgency message on my prescription and even said that they could call her to confirm, yet the pharmacist refused and cancelled my entire prescription. (This was not for opioids, and I wasn’t trying to fill anything early. They were, however, two controlled substance that can lead to death of you stop taking them abruptly.)I didn’t catch either pharmacists’ names, but they were two women - one Asian and one Caucasian. I was clearly agitated as I was withdrawing and terrified of having a seizure (plus just normal anxiety due to my illnesses), but I was was trying to work with them as much as they would allow me to.Please - if you are on any meds that you need to survive - DO NOT GO TO THIS CVS. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. After having my meds resent to a different pharmacy - it saved me a visit to the hospital. None of it made sense - I’ve been filling my meds at CVS for years, which they could see. I’m also self-pay and wasn’t filling early so it wasn’t an insurance issue. The pharmacist just must’ve thought she knew me better than my doctor since she wouldn’t even call her to confirm. I won’t be returning, I just want to warn future patients. ♥️Thanks.

I went to get cash back on a gift card and I asked the guy if I could and he said yeah up to $40 which was great until I bought alcohol hoping to get my cash back only to have some lady tell me I cant get cash back on a gift card so I asked if I could just refund the cash and she said alcohol is non refundable so its almost like theyre running a scam.

WORST PHARMACY IN LA. DO NOT COME HERE! I recently came in for a prescription that I must take everyday. The doctor called the prescription in on a Wednesday, I went to pick up on a Saturday and they were out. After confirming that the prescription called in and after engaging with a VERY combative manager, I was then told that the prescription was not called in (a clear contradiction). I waited for an hour for them to resolve only to be lied to basically (it seems as if they were trying to get me out to move on to other customers). Now I am missing doses of a prescription that requires strict adherence. At any rate, most times I have come in, the pharmacy staff exhibits mild levels of incompetence, but this is by far the worst experience I have had with any pharmacy in terms of poor staffing and horrific customer service. Again, DO NOT COME HERE.

I went with my son today at this CVS in Santa Monica Blvd. We went to have a consult at the minute clinic. We spent 2 hours waiting on line to have an appointment. The Dr. Mike (or so I was told), after knowing we were on line for those 2 hours, left saying for us to wait or leave because he was going to have lunch (and was rude saying it). This cvs minute clinic is terrible. Do not recommend it.

Review for Minute Clinic:If I could give this minute clinic location a -5stars I would. Came in at 11:30am for a job required TB test/read. It gave me a 170min wait time, and signed up for the text to let me know 30mins prior to appointment time to get back to the location. So I ran errands in the mean time. Received the text at 1:50pm and still sitting here waiting to be seen at 2:50pm...Awful awful awful. Wont be coming to this location ever again

Lowest level parking garage always smells like piss worse than a NYC subway platform in the summer; every now and then someone is sleeping there. I can never feel safe there. Pharmacy always has long lines and rarely is my prescription ready even when the doctor had called them 4 hours beforehand. One time I was waiting for my prescription to be filled. Unbeknownst to me, the person who washelping me left for the day without notifying her replacement it seems because when I followed up after waiting for more than 20 minutes, sure enough it had been ready for at least 5 minutes (I saw exactly when the Pharmacist put the prescription on the tray). This is West Hollywood yet the CVS is definitely the crappiest one Ive ever been to. And Ive been to ones in not-so-great neighborhoods in NYC.

1 star doesnt even do this place justice. It is by far the most frustrating, unprofessionally-run pharmacy I have ever had the displeasure of going to. The only reason I returned to them multiple times was because of the proximity to my apartment.But after they continuously didnt have my prescriptions ready (even after texting me to say they were ready for pick-up) and wasted - not exaggerating - hours of my time with one fruitless visit after another, I was completely fed up and have since stopped going here. One of my prescriptions took three full weeks for them to fill - again, after they had already texted me saying it was ready, and after I had contacted my doctor multiple times to ensure it had been sent to the pharmacy. If all this wasnt enough, the pharmacists had a completely lackluster attitude and hardly offered an apology for any of the above. I cannot emphasize enough that no one should use this pharmacy (unless youre a masochist).

Here is my experience with them. You be the judge.Thursday 4:30 PM - Handed in 2 prescriptions for a relatively common antibiotic. I was told they were a bit busy and would take one hour to get them readyFriday 11AM - Went to pick up medication. One was ready. The other was out of stock. No one had told me and neither ordered them. They said they could order that night. I asked them to check other CVSs around. A pharmacy employee told me it would take 20-30 min to call other CVSs and was going to call me back instead of me waiting there.Friday 3:30PM - Called them back after not hearing back from them in 4.5 hours. Spent 20 minutes on the phone. 8 minutes for them to answer in the first place. Another 8 minutes for them to check what is going on. After 8 minutes of silence, the response I got was that person was on lunch break (took them 8 minutes to figure that out) and they had no clue on what happened. The person on the phone told me hell check himself. I said Ill stay on the line. In 5 minutes, he was able to locate a store that has it.I could have had the exact same outcome 24 hours earlier if these people did their jobs right.Then I found out the medication that they gave me was supposed to be mixed by a pharmacist and it wasnt. Had to go back and tell them to prepare it.

Ive been shopping at the store for three years, I probably go every other day because I live around the corner and its on my way to my gym. I recently purchased a CVS branded humidifier and the thing was the worst so I decided to return it. I couldnt find the receipt but as this is not a problem for any other chain retailer because they can just look up my credit card information on the computer I didnt think it would be a problem for CVS. When I got there a guy named Pascual he couldnt do anything because I have to have the receipt and theres nothing you can do...when I started writing down his name and said I was going to complain he suddenly got very helpful...im not going to shop there anymore.

Long lines, dirty store, and the pharmacy hangs up on you after youve been on hold with them for 20 minutes. This hasnt happened once, but on multiple occasions. The Minute Clinic also will often run hours late. The staff in the store seemed friendly enough, but if youre planning on using the pharmacy or MinuteClinic, I would strongly advise using a different location.

I typically am very understanding of a employee having a bad day or being unenthusiastic but this was -- Literally THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I called at 6:30pm on 5/30/2018 to this location and after 15 minutes of being on hold, I told the man working I needed a prescription transferred. While he so rudely huffed and puffed 5 times, he proceeded to tell me about how busy they were today and UGHHHHH do you really need this today?! After saying yes and asking him to please try to get this in while he continued to make huffing sounds and acting like he was in excruciating pain for even being on the phone with me.. I asked if I could speak to someone else or a manager and he said I am the manger. Long story short he didnt transfer my prescription and I will probably NEVER go to another CVS pharmacy. He was so rude for no reason and I am only on here to write a review because if I was the owner of this establishment I would like to know what kind of people I was employing.

The pharmacist is aggressive and rude. Like she goes out of her way to be judgmental and pushy when you’re just trying to refill a prescription.I’ve currently been on hold for two hours with them.
