Reopened recently after a fire. 5 Stars! Nice selection! They do have minis here. Bagels are always fresh and soft. Not doughy like some of the other bagel shops. I almost dont want to give away this other little secret...the strawberry cream cheese...has REAL strawberries in it! Not the fake pink artificially colored cream cheese I see in every other bagel shop on the south end. They move pretty quick also considering there ia always a line.

This place has the most incompetent workers I have ever seen. It took me over an hour with 1 person in front of me to get a bagel with cream cheese and an iced coffee because the male worker had no idea what he was doing. Not once did he apologize for taking so long and literally 11 other families that came in after us left before us after having much more complex orders. Will never be returning

Not only are the Bagels fantastic but the assortment of cream cheese choices are amazing. Love the West Islip colors on the special bagels. I really enjoyed the taste, texture and flavors of these bagels and had the opportunity to try the organic chicken soup that the chef made and it was incredible good and not too salty. My kids loved the bagels as well and especially the organic chicken soup. There is so much attention and work done to these bagels and cream cheese choices that I’m excited to come back for more. The prices are super reasonable and the quality of ingredients exceeds the value this spot charges. This Brooklyn born 45 year bagel eating native approves Higbie Bagels! My kids want to come back again just for the chicken soup. Bravo Higbie Bagels for sharing your quality bagels to Long Island.

They have decent Bagels.But there is absolutely no parking.You have to park in the street.And the new manager decides she will park right in front of the store every morning. Not cool

Overall I can’t really complain, they are a local deli with great bagels and a very nice staff. I do have a complaint regarding the last few times I’ve been served here, everyone is very friendly but I always specify “well done everything” my bacon well done, hash brown crispy, etc. it truly does make a bacon egg and cheese for me. And I feel like every time I ask for well done products I get raw meat and floppy hash browns. I know it’s something silly to bother me but the few slices of bacon I got today were raw. It made the sandwich inedible, and I’ve been back in the past to complain and wait for a new BEC but after today I’m not sure I’m comfortable eating there anymore.

If youre in west islip and youre looking for a good deli, this is not the one. The worse service you could possibly think of. Every single time Ive ordered from here there has been a problem. They charged me 80 dollars extra for bacon on my 4 bagels more then once, delivered the wrong food and its a fight with them to try to correct their mistake. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Bagels are really good. Everything bagels here are perfectly coated with the right amount of seasonings. Yes they now have egg sandwiches! The town was missing an iconic bagel shop when they were closed for a few years. So happy they are back open for business.

Everything flagel with eggs, avocado and pepper jack cheese was perfection! The girl who helped me was super friendly and efficient (loved the thumbs up she gave me... twice)... I would definitely recommend this place. Fresh food made with love! Keep up the great job!

This used to be my favorite bagel place on earth! But lately I’ve noticed that my doordash orders aren’t correct, or on time. The phone wasn’t picked up when I called to correct my order. I stopped going inside due to corona virus, and when I finally got hold of an employee I had sent my husband to come in to exchange my food and he had to experience an uncomfortably long line in the heat and said he felt awful because the employees look overworked and look like they are suffering from the heat! I understand that it’s hot and the rush is not the employees fault but a little more care in the order would be helpful.

My husband and I frequent this bagel shop. Today when inside the store, a male customer was yelling profanities. I asked to speak to a manager. I spoke with a woman with brown hair and square glasses. I told her, “the man’s behavior makes me uncomfortable”. I was told, “he’s a regular; I can’t say anything to him”. I responded with, “this is bad for your business, especially when children are inside your store”. Very disappointed with how this situation was handled. Businesses have the right do deny services to customers, who are verbally or physically aggressive. I am hoping for an apologetic response from the owners of Higbie Bagels.

Finally found a bagel that I like that isn’t very far from home. Shame they are closed again hopefully they open back up again soon

I always came to this bagel store it was the best.. but my most recent experience unfortunately will stop me from coming back. I always get an acai bowl how it normally comes— with fruit coconut and granola. I pay additional to add nutella which i absolutely dont mind doing and recommend to anyone trying. But this time i placed my usual order which came out to 11.99 which is correct and when i received it the acai bowl was missing the fruit. It seemed as if it was made carelessly and when i called the store to let them know that it was missing the fruit, the staff tried to make it seem as if the acai bowl never comes with fruit on it and that theres an up charge if I want fruit..that it was pretty much “my mistake”. The girl then told me they ran out of fruit anyway. So obviously they just didnt have the fruit, didnt bother to tell me they ran out, and instead just ripped me off hoping i wouldnt say anything. She pretty much tried to make it seem like i dont know what im talking about when i’ve ordered this the same way multiple times. Ive worked in food service 6 years and usually am so understanding when mistakes are made, but 12.00 for an acai bowl with no fruit just seems silly to me. Sad to say i will no longer be supporting this local business during this pandemic.

Bagels are very good. However the past few times I have asked for vegetable cream cheese the amount barely cover the bagel and there wasnt even enough to spread around. Im not asking for an inch of cream cheese like some places give but at least cover the whole area please.

All of the people here are great. I dont think I have noticed an employee turnover in 9 years! Food is awesome and they really take care of their first responders.

Terrible service and unprofessional staff that continues to mess up orders and never try and correct it. Save yourself the headache.

Omg absolutely the best breakfast place! I ordered from them thru Doordash and I can happily and honestly say they are the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve tasted from anywhere that delivers to West Babylon. The egg sandwiches were right on point - over medium was perfectly cooked, not too dry not too wet (we tested this on 3 different occasions). We also ordered a fried egg sandwich and it was again perfect! Bagels are soft and delicious, lunch was perfect tasting and again right on point. I’ve tried their egg sandwiches on 3 different occasions, and their lunch on two different occasions. What can I say, I’m hooked! Tysm for the delicious food!
