A wonderful grocery store, but Ive recently had a very frustrating experience with the pharmacy. Specifically I have unsuccessfully tried 3 times to get a flu vaccine here. I hear from others that they have had wonderful experiences getting vaccines at their local Safeways. Maybe this is a fluke...Heres what happened to me:Try # 1 - I showed up to get a vaccine without an appointment (as advertised). Two people in front of me were allowed to go to the vaccine waiting room. When it was my turn, I was told that the pharmacy was not doing any more vaccines today, and that I should come back tomorrow. Fair enough. I understand COVID-19s impact on staffing.Try # 2 - I scheduled an appointment in advance. My appointment was confirmed via email. I arrived, and two people in front of me were allowed to go the vaccine waiting room. When it was my turn in line, I was told plainly by one of the employees that they were NOT doing vaccines today. (I hadnt received any appointment cancellation or anything.) I mentioned my appointment and they apologized and said that they cant control the central appointment system and that this frustrated them too. (Yikes!)Perhaps the thing that bothered me most is how the customers in front of me appeared to be treated so differently. I wasnt really sure, so I later asked the two people, and they indicated that they hadnt even signed up for an appointment. Like me though, they had tried to get a vaccine the day before.From my perspective, there didnt seem to be any meaningful planning for someone who had made an appointment. Its as if my appointment was meaningless. To be told were not doing vaccines today and easily seeing people in front of me get through really frustrated me. I felt like a pawn - not valuable enough to be planned for or spoken to authentically. I know 100% thats not what they intended, so I spoke to a manager and wrote a note to corporate. I received some apologies, and some reasons for the error. With that said, I didnt really feel like think they meaningfully addressed or acknowledged the larger issues here with the appointment scheduling system or how I was apparently treated differently than others.The manager invited me to return for a visit, affirming they could get me in. Unfortunately, I couldnt come in that day. Im now wishing I had...Try # 3 - Since my appointment hadnt been honored and apparently hadnt been meaningfully planned for, I decided to show up and try one more time without an appointment. As I arrived, there was a sign at the pharmacy saying that they can only do vaccines for those who make appointments now. LOL?Bad luck? This was the last straw - I tried THREE times. I need to get vaccinated as my wife just had a baby, but I have limited time so this is really frustrating.Its very possible others are having better experiences than me at this location - I know the people in front of me certainly did. To be clear, the employees here are very hard workers, and great members of our community. I wish them all the best, but really feel let down right now. Im still not vaccinated and cant get that time back.Update: Drove to Lake Oswego location. Flawless experience.

One of my favorite grocery stores. Great selection of produce, fresh meats and cheeses and a wide range of packaged foods as well. They have a huge selection of already made hot foods and a huge deli case with a plethora of different salads. It’s a wonderful selection of items that only gets better, not to mention the pricing is great as well.

Going to say Spencer is a stellar person that goes above and beyond customer service ! This is really what makes me appreciate shopping here, Everyone is super nice and today was just a Stellar Day. Thanks Spencer for being 😎

We frequent this store quite often. They usually have what we need and the hot chicken there is great tasting with meal deals included. It’s better than most common chicken restaurants.

I do not like to shop at Safeway after 3:00. Lots of newer cashiers and they are not very friendly. I may need to shop more at Market of Choice. They are super nice and happy to help.

Safeway has one of the better selections for a big name Grocery Store Deli. The staff there is always friendly and wait times are generally short. As this is the only local grocery store in the neighborhood most people know each other which creates a family atmosphere. Customers tend to wait in bunches instead of a line and yet still stick with the first come first serve protocol or simply say you go ahead. Local wine and other venders are often on-site offering samples. During summer time they run a almost 24/7 BBQ for the deli.Despite being a big name box store its always good to support the local community when we can. There are 2 employees in the deli. 2 employees on cart duty. 2 employees in seafood. 1 employee at self checkout. 1 employee bagging. 1 employee as cashier.20 people in line for cashier. 25 people in line for self checkout.Please staff your store appropriately. This is sad and has been common for the past 3 years.

The pharmacy is terribly managed. Had a huge line once. And only two staff members. One being the pharmacist.They get prescriptions days ahead. But never have them ready. This isnt just for me. I see people complaining in line about this being a constant issue.Maybe its time Safeway actually pays attention to their customers needs.

Probably the worst Safeway in the country. Absolute horrible customer service. The delivery service is lacking. I would not order from this store. Sarcastic smart mouth employees who refused to know what customer service is. The manager doesnt want to acknowledge it or do anything about it and has a bad attitude himself the store director Spencer cant manage himself out of the wet paper bag let alone manage this store. Ive been a Safeway Customer for 43 years I worked in the industry for about half of that and no people that have chosen to do this is their lifelong career. If you dont like your job dont do it otherwise put a smile on your face and treat your customers with respect and I understand thats why you have a job dont treat people like theyre a nuisance or they will shop somewhere else

No regard for face masks or proper wearing of face masks. Saw who I presumed to be a lead chatting with a group of people that weren’t wearing masks or were wearing them below the nose and they said nothing at all. I always have pleasant experiences at this store but when there’s a pandemic, I don’t want to risk the exposure.

Definitely a neighborhood store - friendly staff and great produce and meat, though sometimes a bit short-staffed it seems.

Why is the drive up and pick up so horrible at this Safeway? They didn’t pull receipts? What does that even mean! Just get the orders. Pick it. Then bring it to the car. Just take the signs down and make it regular parking because the 6 spots are a waste of space and a waste of time. I sat waiting for my order for 30 minutes. Then it was messed up. Had to go back half a day later and wait another 45 minutes!

Perfectly placed and easy to get in and out.

These folks dont care about hygiene and/or taking measures to guard against transmission of the coronavirus. Their clientele similarly dont follow wayfinding markers or have any sense of social distance etiquette. Employees dont appear to be cleaning high touch surfaces and overall its a very uncomfortable place to shop.

Typical grocery store with solid employees, I like using the app and getting good deals there.

I wasnt going to write - but no one is picking up the customer service line. I ordered 3 cakes on the same day. Cake 1 (plain white with blue writing, perfect!). The 2nd one (Paw Patrol) the writing is HORRIBLE! I was told sure, no problem all of that will fit. The day I got this one was Thursday 12/15 and it had been snowing and streets were closed, so I figured someone else did it, I did not complain. The 3rd one (Odell Beckjam Jr) I picked up today, it was not written on. Alexa took the cake and came back with the Tony 8. I should have just written this myself. The 2nd and 3rd cakes look horrible. They taste fine and the photos are fine, but if you are going to be writing on cakes, I think you need some more practice and a steady hand! All of my family thinks I need to go in and complain, but I do not really want anything. I am just not happy, but I will still shop at Safeway, just not the bakery for a long while.

Really the only deals at Safeway are their proprietary Brand. Always so much stuff in the aisles. It’s really beginning to feel like a flea market.

When I supposed to pick up my online order I received a “order delay” message from Safeway. I waited for few hours received another message asked me to reschedule the pick up time. When I tried to reschedule early next morning since we have a road trip early next day. There were no schedule pick up time available. I called the pick up number got the answer :”sorry can’t help.” I tried to cancel my order online but there was no cancel option found. I had to again call the 1800 number in the order email. Waited for over 10minites nobody pick up the phone. My last try was call the store. I waited 5minites got to talk to the manager. The manager said they were experiencing high order volume therefore they were canceling people’s orders. 3hours of messaging, waiting, calling, talking still no food☹️

What happened??? Six months ago things were great. The past 2 months have been poor. Prescriptions are sometimes ready and IF you complain you get a plethora of excuses as to why the CUSTOMER should be understanding as to Safeway’s understaffing and how busy they are. Today I called to MAKE SURE scripts were ready. I’m glad I did because they were NOT ready in fact a call had to be made to the doc because of ins issues and a lost script. This happened last month and yes they had to call last month too. BUT I was told they didn’t know and apparently instead of calling me and letting me know there was an issue, I guess they were just going to wait till I wasted YET ANOTHER trip to the store. With covid it seems a call would benefit US ALL. I asked for another person because the young lady wanted TO POINT OUT, why yet again I should be accepting of their position. I talked with Rob about another script and NO that script wasn’t available either, it too required a call to the doc. Yet no call was made and I wasn’t contacted about that script not done either. Then Rob gave me a lecture on WHY I SHOULD BE HAPPY! Wow! That was a first! He asked if I wanted his help and I passed.Sooooo today I will find a another pharmacy. Here’s the requirements:Have scripts ready in the time stated they will be ready.Phone calls if there are any issues.Seems simple enough, but then I guess NOT.

Great store, good feel/vibe, but Safeway is a bit pricey, compared to Walmart and WinCo.

Safeway is a great local grocery store. Prices are a bit high but always quality.

Decent grocery store but always overcrowded and over shopped. Ive often come in for items like broccoli to find out sold out. Just not sufficient as the only grocery store in west linn. Not their fault just need something larger or another option.

Love going here. Always has everything we need and the produce is fresh. Has a few bottle redeposit machines and doesnt make you use the ticket the same day. Place is hard to leave on Sundays though. Tons of sales happening and youll feel completely immune to using your better judgement by not giving in to them. ;)

I dont like waiting an hour in a line all the way across the store during covid just because they only scheduled two checkers. I dont feel the employees are happy an it shows

Pharmacy staff could not find my prescription so they argued that maybe it was sent somewhere else (like CVS). Turned out the voice mail from the prescribing physician had not been checked for a while.

Safeway was not too busy. Cashiers were friendly and the stickers were extremely helpful in finding what I was looking for.

Clean and tidy and efficient staff for sure.

There are often issues with the pharmacy, and masks are no longer freely available, but it is still our go grocer.

Its a Safeway. Fairly well stocked, mediocre produce and most things are overpriced compared to other stores in the area.I will say that the employees were very friendly and helpful.

If you have any hesitation or phobias about shopping safely with social distancing...this is not the Safeway to go to. The one is Lake Oswego on A Street is much more organized. When I arrived there were no clean carts, no baskets, no attendant and no hand-wipes. The one way aisle signs on the floor where the opposite direction of the stay 6 feet away floor graphics in the aisle. This means people approaching from the other end of the aisle think they are going in the right direction. Safeway staff were not heading the 6 ft away rule and brushed up against me in the aisle. In addition, the check out lines were crowded and no one way wiping down the conveyor belts. Other stores are taking this more seriously as well as shoppers. Many people were not wearing mask. I am not normally concerned with this but at this point in time, I too want the country to reopen and adhere to some preliminary guideline in order to stay healthy.

Just walked out of this Safeway and witnessed AMAZING service from Alesia (unsure of spelling) for myself and another customer. She knew of a weekly offer that could save another customer (in another lane!) money while getting more product they love. Then she grabbed a cart and went right to getting him the extra product. He (and I) were floored by how effortlessly she was there to help us, give her a raise and promotion for sure!!!

Had an online order that took 2.5 hours longer than it was supposed to take. Then they said they were out of items and I walked away with only eggs. No manager on duty and they couldn’t give me a receipt. So I don’t know how much I was charged. But would have definitely cancelled my order 2 hours ago if I’d known all I was going to get was eggs. I will never go back.

I love my West Linn Safeway! The employees are fantastic always say hi and are more than willing to help me find and retrieve any item I may possibly need. The bakery is out of this world the bread, cookies donuts and cakes we cant get enough of! The meat is great. The fruits and vegetables always look good. I can drop off my prescriptions and by the time Im done shopping theyre ready to be picked up.

Very rude curbside pickup! Sat with my mom for almost an hour waiting for an order I placed at 7am it was scheduled for 7pm and it’s now 8pm no receipt and half my order is missing? Spent 250 on half our order? Not a great experience at all for me or my mother, definitely will be taking this app outa the iPad! And contacting capital one!

Store is ok, but to shop here, you either need to a) not care how much things cost or b) really know your prices and avoid the high markups.Virtually everything is higher than competing stores, but some things are as much as 50% more. Im not sure what I am supposed to be paying a premium for.Im removing another star for trying to force me to use their app to get what should be everyday prices on items.

Went in this morning to pick up a prescription and a few other things. I have come to expect that when getting my prescriptions that the staff are less then friendly. Honestly if my insurance was taken somewhere else I would go there. On this occasion I decided to get a sandwich from the deli. I stood by the counter for 5-10 mins not getting help. I observed about 7 people working back behind the counter and made eye counter with a few of them. I gave up and when checking out told the cashier of my experience. Although she apologized she blamed me asking me if I was sure they saw me. I have worked in customer service for 8 years and know that customer service should be the most important thing. I am never asked if I need help when in there. The employees walk around with sour faces and always seem to be looking the other way in an attempt to avoid contact. I am amazed how much Safeways standards have fallen.

Pretty good selection except ethnic foods and bulk bins, (small selection and hard to use), service is hard to find, food is mediocre especially fresh fruit and vegetables which lack flavor and freshness and the bread which has a poor selection. But the worst part is the organization (tuna with the canned fruit, dairy is in 4 different places and so forth). The staff I do find have been routinely helpful and friendly though not always knowledgeable.

Ya know... its a Safeway

This Safeway in particular is full of a bunch of employees who seem to not want to do their job. There are a very small handful who have been helpful in the last year I’ve been going there. Wait times are awful, every check stand will be closed during rush periods, the bottle return is always full and no one will empty it. If it’s a staffing problem, managers should do a better job at scheduling and hiring....very unsatisfied with their delivery in customer service.

I can tell that the Pharmacy has made some changes in the last 6 months...I used to wait in long, slow lines, I wasnt told when something was out of stock until I got there and they just seemed understaffed and overworked... I can see the difference... thank you for the improvements!

Ive been coming here since I was a kid. Its no different from any other Safeway. The deli food is good as far as Im concerned. The outdoor seating is squeaky and sticky.

We made an order on line and not only did we not get everything we ordered the woman that took our food to the car was not wearing a mask and not wearing gloves. We asked the to wear gloves becuase we have people that are high risk.

I love this Safeway. The people are helpful, they always give free cookies to my kids and there meat department has excellent quality and cuts. It’s is busy, but it is the primary neighborhood supermarket in a large neighborhood, and they do a good job providing adequate staffing.

This place had items that I cant find it any other store.

This Safeway has great produce, meat and deli. Good service. Good Starbucks. It can get busy at times.The pharmacy however is just too busy, long waits, high staff turnover and prone to forgetting following up on Rx refills. This has happened to me on several occasions now.

Employees very helpful and nice store

Typical medium sized Safeway store including layout. Lack of other Grocery choices in community puts a lot of stress on this location so service and quality suffer. For example, the Safeway at the top of the hill in Oregon City that is larger and has great service and selection is so different in every way, it might as well be a different brand of store all together.

Safeways prices have gone up.. assuming most stores have....however when us shoppers are in a crunch forInot enough checkers an your prices have gone up....my budget is very small and not able to PU all necessities....left Safeway an went to Walmart.....

Having to wait a very long time at customer service desk. Takes a long time to check out and theres always a problem with self check.

Its a Safeway, what more can I say? Average selection of goods for a moderate price; definitely not bargain cheap, but not very expensive for their store brand goods. Theres a pharmacy, Starbucks and credit union within the store. Self-checkout is fairly quick.

Dont go there if you want to get anything quickly. Also they are not the best at offering assistance or pretty much any general help that you need. Usually they just stand around until you reportedly ask them to help you. But at least they have good products you can buy so that gets 3 stars.Thanks Safeway. Lasting impression.

Pretty nice store with a good selection of specialty stuff. Can be a bit busy during prime time. I suggest shopping on the morning or late evening for no lines.

Love the store. Allways check the flyers they have for the best buys. Really clean store, lots of parking, most of the time great produce. We shop here often.

I used to work in the bakery at this store. The manager, Miguel would limit the employees from having an appropriate amount of water and bathroom breaks. This resulted in me contracting a UTI that turned into a permanent condition that negitivly effects my health everyday. There was also another employee in the bakery that contracted multiples UTIs because of Miguel being a psychopath and not letting her go to the bathroom. I would not reccomend giving this store your business. Go to Wal-Mart instead.

Would be nice if Safeway upgraded their pop bottle return machines. There is always 1 broken down and when they only take 1 bottle at a time...it really makes a line build to use the machines.*update...they did put in new more efficient machines!On a side note.... why have something on clearance if you are only saming 2cents....?! Literally makes No sense.

First I would like to say that the staff who work here are awesome! The reason my rating is 3 stars is because today, for the third time, products are not the same price at the register as they are on the shelf even after entering a club card for the discount. The beaverton safeway was never like this.

Not my favorite, but limited in West Linn. Feels like too much is crammed into too little of a space. Never enough registers open. Thank goodness for the self checkout.

My experience was wildly fantastic, if a little mundane. No worries, no hassles. My only regret is not finding beer nuts, moon pies, or Newmans Own Black Bean & Corn Salsa on the shelves. Other than that I have little to complain about...oh wait...I also cant get Lawrys frozen subs, but those havent been around for a couple decades despite being one of the greatest things in life. Im inconsolable over this - cannot remotely replicate the taste and texture. Otherwise my visit today was just fine

Our safeway is great went tonight for Chinese always tasty you get large portions and the cost well picked up dinner fried rice,chow main,orange chicken,sesame chicken 6 pieces of barbecue pork for 11.99.
