The receptionist said yes but he probably has a customer, I then say we’ll does that mean not answer the call & ask the customer to hold one moment. The receptionist states that’s totally up to him. We had a great experience at Interstate Hyundai. Chad, our sales partner, was extremely knowledgeable about our new Palisade Calligraphy features. He and the sales manager kept us completely up-to-date on when we could take delivery and what to expect. The parts, service and extended warranty sales team members were also thorough and professional. No complaints and when it is time to buy again, that is definitely where we will we go! Everything went great, except for two small issues. Both deal with delivery. First, Jeep arrived with 650 miles (ordered in Monroe, La, but closest dealership with the color I wanted was in San Antonio). I figured I could get one free oil change to compensate for the mileage, but was told “No.” Second issue is related to scratches and areas rubbed white near the driver side interior door handle. The people that drove the Jeep from San Antonio must have had long fingernails or big hands, big fingers with bulky rings.Not really an issue, but the Jeep arrived with a cool looking dealership emblem. When I returned two days later to get registered online (app), they removed the emblem and replaced it with their plain, white sticker. I didn’t ask nor did they. Anyways, I removed it. Hopefully they won’t put their sticker on my Jeep when I return for services.

I have been bringing my Jeep in for service since I purchased it. Today makes the 2nd unhappy experience Ive encountered at the dealership when I brought my vehicle in for service. I am a member of the Jeep Wave program and noted that I was charged for an oil change today. I mentioned I was in the Jeep Wave program. Action was taken to correct the charges. While talking to the manager, I saw my Jeep being taken back to the service area, and was informed by the manager that the incorrect oil weight was placed in my vehicle. Next, I was told the tech stated he/she used the correct oil weight but the information on paper was incorrect. Next, I was told that the oil with the incorrect weight was going to be drained out and replaced with the correct oil weight at no charge, and was offered a free car wash the next time I return. Charged? I think not! No free car wash was going to suffice for this error. I just pray no damage was done to my Jeep. Next time a maintenance service is due, I will be driving to another dealership to get maintenance service.

This visit was for a recall for knock sensor software (963). So far, so good. I was told to expect an hour or so for service but, they finished in less than 30 minutes. Everyone was kind and polite. Overall a good experience.
Well the initial introduction was great, he seemed to want to help me get my recall on my vehicle fixed, so I dropped it off and went to pick it up at the end of the day. He forgot to tell me he had to order the part and that he would have to get back to me when he finally got it. It’s been 3 weeks now and I still haven’t heard back from him. Don’t know what the hold up is. I’d really like to get my recall fixed but not sure why they haven’t gotten back to me. He said he still had my order and would call me when the part came in but I haven’t heard anything yet. It is now April 12th and I first took it in mid March. I’d really appreciate it if they would get back to me.

My first oil change was supposed to be free. They said I had to get ahold of my salesman Andre to get it changed. I tried for a month to get ahold of him but he refused to call me back. The manager in the shop said because of this he would cut me a deal if he couldn’t give it to me for free. Well, it wasn’t free and it sure wasn’t discounted. I paid over $55 when I could have got it for cheaper somewhere else. If you buy a vehicle don’t use Andre and don’t trust them when they say “I’ll cut you a deal”. This is why people don’t trust car salesmen

Caution Monroe, LA car buyers– 12 weeks to repair an engine!On July 19th, while traveling in Louisiana, the engine failed in my 2013 Hyundai Tucson. It had under 100K miles and one owner, I was confident this would be covered under the warranty and had it towed to Interstate Hyundai. It took them A WEEK, and me having to go in person, to find out the engine failed (something I told them day 1). They quoted me prices to repair. I had to tell them to contact Hyundai, as it should be covered. Fast forward 3 WEEKS, the dealership FINALLY got all the information Hyundai needed to determine this was covered and provide me a rental (I had to get Hyundai Motors involved). It then took another 9 WEEKS for them to complete the repair with little to no communication. I arranged with Hyundai Motors to be reunited with my car in Atlanta, where I live. After it was returned, I found body damage to the hood and surrounding body. Neither Hyundai or Interstate Hyundai will take responsibility for the damage. I worked around dealerships for a large part of my career and dealt with at least 100 dealerships. In my opinion, Interstate Hyundai has a poorly run service department. If you buy a Hyundai in the Monroe area and want it serviced, I fear you will have to drive other cities (Jackson, Shreveport, Alexandria) to get competent service from a Hyundai Certified dealer. I believed in the product and the warranty. I own 2 Hyundais but have never come close to a similar experience as this. The service department is slow. Be prepared to take your vehicle in multiple times before issue is fixed. Car is under warranty, still not fixed, and will not give rental car. Will never buy this product again.

Dont get me wrong the salesman was great. The sales manager however was a complete jerk. We tried to buy a mustang in full. He didnt like our offer and instead of making counter offer he and his friends in his office began laughing and mocking us. He then proceeds to come out and basically implied that we didnt have enough money. He was completely rude and clearly thought he was better than us. He literally ran us out of the store with rude words. We were prepared to buy the car in full for the listed price; however, we were trying to get the best deal. He clearly didnt want our business. I am a nurse and my mother, who was with me at time, is the head of radiology at a hospital. We went and bought a mustang else where. I can only hope this deters his business. Thank you!

I saw a 2011 Chevy Equinox online for a very reasonable, almost questionable price. I live a good distance away in Mississippi and I’m currently without a car so I wanted to do as much online and over the phone to avoid making an unnecessary trip. When I finally got everything together to make the trip, I called to confirm some price negotiations. I was told to wait for a call back, which came with news that the car wouldn’t even crank up. I wasted my time inquiring about a car that wouldn’t even crank up. I’m glad I didn’t make the trip, but I got my hopes up for nothing. This experience certainly left a despicable taste in my mouth.

First time buyers be aware of a contract service added on. You dont need it; its just an extended warranty. Also read carefully before signing any lines. I was a first time buyer and was not aware of a contract service fee and waiving off cooling rights. PSA: Cooling off rights gives you the right to void/cancel contract and return the car within a time period. Always ask about this before signing.When I found out about the contract service, I was denied a straight answer or additional documentation about it. Only when we spoke with the owner of the dealership was when the finance manager FINALLY produced the requested documentation about the service contract.Also, I was told more than once I couldnt cancel this service. You can cancel this service after its been tacked on. Theres a clause in the additional documentation that states it as well with a number to call to cancel it.Overall, my experience was a learning one. Hyundai produce great, reliable cars. And the sales person who helped me did his best.

Took my car to this dealership. It is still under warranty.. (2016 Hyundai Sonata) Drove over 30 miles.. Not only did I sit from 8am to 3pm but they hadnt fixed my car yet. The manager stated that he would give me a rental.. (He could have done this at first). They kept my car for 4 days only to misdiagnose my vehicle ( rack n pinion). Drove home 3 days later.. the same noise ( it was my axle on the drivers side) really!!!! Brought car back over on Monday to get diagnosed but still havent been called for my part.. (When I took the car the 1st time, new manager stated whole service department along with Techs have been fired.. Please get a second opinion when dealing with this dealership. Had to give a star for rating.. only reason why I gave one star.. would have given no stars...

Never trust these people. They will make you believe that everything is going as agreed but in the end comes up with something that doesnt even resemble what you agreed upon.Watch out for this sales consultant named Joshua Mark Hosea. He is really good at making people believe that they are going to get the car and at the agreed price when he has absolutely no idea what the end result is gonna be. At the end all he will do is point his finger at the other person. Dont waste your time and money on these people.

I had a pretty good experience with Interstate Hyundai. The paperwork process took a little bit more time then I would have liked. How ever everyone was friendly, but if youre going through Capital One Auto Navigato make sure to tell them up front it makes it a lot easier.
It took 3 hours when they told us 30 minutes, our charge was more than double the quote, plus it was to fix a mistake someone made but nobody will fess up to. Very dissatisfied and wish I wouldnt have gotten a Hyundai! Next time I will go with a company with better CS!

The staff is very moving. As soon as I pulled in I was greeted with a smile. I felt welcomed needless to say. Also I got to test drive a few of the vehicles and I must say Im not a fan of cars but the cars this place has I would definitely drive on a day to day basis. Great gas mileage. Heated seats. Some have heated steering wheels. Most come with the reverse camera witch I will say can come in handy for those who have trouble backing up. Great place overall but not quite five star rating yet. Very poor service. I attempted to buy a car from them, had financing ready to go, I had to ask for the buyers order 4 times. Finally got it after multiple calls to the sales manager. They also attempted to overcharge me on sales tax. The sales tax in my parish is 9%. They tried to charge me 10.4%. Do not trust them! Im 48 years old and this is the worst experience I have had. I had to walk away from the deal because of the way they treated me. Brian, the general manager was extremely rude and condescending to me. There are too many other dealers out there who are willing to negotiate with you. Do not buy here!!
Spoke with service on the phone because there has been Multiple recalls issued on my vehicle. It has 175,00 miles on it however recalls are still existent no matter how many miles there are on the vehicle. I spoke with Hyundai directly and they even said he wasn’t doing his job! He was also extremely condescending. Sir. These are people’s lives you are messing with...if you don’t wanna do your job then don’t have one:) So...one star from me.

I had a very good experience at Interstate Hyundai. Not only was my sales rep knowledgable about the product, he helped me get a lot of car for the price. I did come into the deal with my own financing, however, so the heavy lifting was already done.Even still, my sales rep, Trey, helped me get what I needed for my trade-in and was not pushy at all. Everyone there was respectful of my time (even the finance manager) and didnt try and push anything on me.10/10 would definitely buy from here again!
