My first time purchasing from Father and Sons and the entire process could not have been smoother. I’ve shopped around for a few months visiting multiple dealerships looking for the perfect Ford Edge, and have dealt with many pushy and money hungry dealers, however I did not have that experience with Chandler and the rest of the staff. Chandler was great answering all of my questions and concerns. He was courteous and professional and always answered my calls and texts. The inside was super clean and all Covid protocols were followed. Mike was great to deal with as well, he was able to get me into a payment that was comfortable for my ideal budget. Would highly recommend and will definitely be doing business with them again. Thank you all so much.
Nothing but bad things to say about this place, manager is very nice but everybody else is so rude, the lady at the service desk argued with me about the 165$ diagnostic fee for a simple, and warrantied, item. Absolutely absurd. Place is terrible and I will never ever spend a single dime there ever again. Bought my car and within 1 week it already had a check engine light. After I brought it back for a coil pack issue they told me that instead of replacing the coil packs (which is cheap and easy) they swapped the coil pack from cylinder 1 to cylinder 3 to SEE if the issue would go away. Unbelievably lazy and ridiculous. Please if your reading this, NEVER go here, and don’t even give them the time of day.
I was happily driving my Gray 2017 Golf AllTrack and then saw several Tiguan R-Lines on the road. I contacted Chandler Twining to ask about a silver car on the lot. He was quick to respond and said it was sold. On the plus side he had a Gray car arriving from another dealer. That color was my first choice and it worked out that my Alltrack required the 90,000 mile service on the same day the Tiguan arrived. I took one look at it and made the decision to buy. We needed a radio/navigation code for our daughters used 2009 Jetta after her battery needed to be replaced. She went in for an appointment and waited an hour, they came out and told her they could not get the code that day and she needed to come back and expect to leave the car overnight at $200/hr. We have the vin and serial number of the radio and still they could not help. Long story short, horrible customer service. Don’t waste your time. If you need your radio/navigation code order at VWcodes online for less than $25 and get it in less than 2 hours without ever leaving your house!
I was completely satisfied. Finally brought the suv Ive been wanting for a very long time. Dave from sales was awesome. Not pushy very friendly and very helpful he even went out and showed me how to work with gadgets in the car and answered my questions. I am beyond siked on the purchase of my brand new 2020 Volkswagen Jetta R-Line! I told Chandler what I wanted to pay for the car, what I wanted for my trade, and where I felt comfortable with my monthly payments. No back and forth at all! We purchased a used SUV that they took in on trade. I inquired online and received a very quick response. We went through a few days of phone tag while I was missing opportunity to get out to see the vehicle, but they were patient. Eventually I got out there, the vehicle was in listed condition, perfect. Everything checked out and it was at a fair price. We settled on the price which was very fair and made a transaction within a day. They had it registered, and expedited the inspection. After hunting for this exact vehicle, and being played with by other dealers, Chandler came through for a solid buy. I would be happy to do business here again.
Do not recommend getting service here. First time Went in for simple oil change and they did not secure plastic protective Shields underneath which came undone on Highway. Scary. Was told mistakes happen. They did replace the damaged parts. Went in for another routine oil change and after waiting over 3 hours my car was still not even inside yet. While waiting for my keys the customer service lady was rude on the phone with a customer who had issues with their warranty. Customer service is dead. I guess mistakes do happen as I tried to give this dealership another try and it will not happen again.
Very disappointed in their customer service, I leased a car here and returned it in pristine condition on January 22, 2021. The salesperson (Chandler) told me to return it and they would take care of canceling the registration, the registration was not canceled until April 5, 2021, now Volkswagen Credit are sending me a bill for the personal property tax ( excise tax) for $189.88 for Jan 22-April 5th. I spoke to the Manager Ethan and he told me they are not responsible to cancel the registration on leased cars. Ethan was no help at all, he kept saying it’s not their responsibility! I would not recommend Fathers and Sons Volkswagen to purchase or lease a car. In all my years of purchasing vehicles this was the worst customer service I’ve experienced in my life! Again I would not recommend to any of my family and friends to purchase or lease a car from them!
Told me it will be 7000$ to fix a car when I got it 4 times cheaper in a different place. Do not recommend having your car fixed here.

This was my first time buying a car from a dealership and everyone was so wonderful. Angie simply highlighted the features of the car we test drove, and did not rush me into making a decision. She answered every email quickly and was always open to questions. I was mainly worried about being pressured into signing up for unnecessary add-ons and surprise fees, but Mike was not pushy AT ALL and even told me what plans I absolutely didn’t need. Everyone made me feel super comfortable as a first time buyer!

Bruh brought my car here several times one time they told me I need a new engine and transmission thankfully it was just a replacement of a timing chain I also tuned the car a few months down the road then went back because it went faulty and they wanted me to install a new ECM for more than 2k without including labor or other fees but wait that only COULD be a solution to the problem that I had wouldnt have even been a solid fix lol customer service whats that. But great place tho I’d bring all my Volkswagen Vehicles Here great staff and the best part free food.

Just bought a Golf R off of a private seller and have done oil changes myself on every vehicle up until now. They do the oil change and also send you a video inspection of your vehicle, a inspection report and a car wash included with the oil change. Won’t be doing my own oil changes as long as I have this Golf ever again! Amazing job and great inspection and information. Couldn’t be happier with the service provided. Honestly probably would have spent more money doing it myself!

Everything about this place is amazing! I just recently moved into the area from North Carolina and they fixed my car when I had throttle body issues. The service desk lady was very sweet and kind. She even went above and beyond to call Enterprise so that I would have a rental car set-up since my car would be there over night. Im going to bring my car there every time because of the great customer service I received.
We went to Fathers and Sons VW two different times and enjoyed both our sales associates each time. They very nice and very informative. The reason for the 2 stars is because the sales associates were awesome.We had a price that we were comfortable with and had a trade-in vehicle that we were offered at the base KBB value. The car had some issues and we scanned the car, it needed new camshaft sensors. The day after our test drive we came in to finalize the deal and the sales manager joined our negotiation. He was not available the previous day and said that because of the issues with our trade in they knocked the value down by 50%. We were a little surprised about the value cut, but we understood their reasoning. However, the approach and tactic used to tell us was condescending and off putting. We walked from the offer after they wouldnt budge on the new car price or trade-in. We never wanted to go back because we felt that experience was just so awful. We ended up going to Hartford with our trade and purchased a VW there.I do not recommend going here.

I recently brought my VW Golf to the auto-body service, due to paint damage to the rear bumper. I was given very prompt service on arrival, and a quick accurate estimate. I was given a choice of times for the repair, and got my first request.The vehicle looked as good as new, after the repair, and was so clean inside, that I thought I had the wrong car! Excellent service and repair!

I went today to get an Oil Change and it took 2 hours. I waited an hour and I was told the oil change was done and it would take about 10mins to wash and vacuum my car. Another 30 minutes went by. I asked for my car, they told me that they are finishing up washing my car. 15 minutes later I was still waiting for my car. They said they could cash me out while I waited. When asked about the long wait, their response was “I Don’t Know.” (I was in at 9am and was leaving at 11am.) After another 15 minutes, I finally get my car back and it wasn’t even vacuumed! I am hoping that they actually changed the oil and filter. I was OBVIOUSLY NOT A PRIORITY. I was one of the first customers to arrive at 9 AM and I saw others come and leave while I waited for a simple oil change. This wasnt the first time I had BAD service here but this is definitely the last time I will get my car serviced here. If anyone is looking to get their car serviced, GO ELSEWHERE!
I recently just purchased a New VW GLI from Fathers and Sons. My experience was nothing less than exceptional. From the minute I walked in to the time I drove it out of the showroom, everything went smoothly and without a hitch. Ethan was a phenomenal person to work with, as well as Ang who was my sales associate.I recently had to have a small issue checked out on my GLI. Simply put, Sue Roy was a life saver! I work extremely busy hours due to the COVID-19 pandemic and she was able to get me in last minute on my only day off. Both her and Ethan made me truly feel like family and I am and will be forever grateful. Friendly staff, easy to schedule appointments. If I give them a time frame I need my car, they tend to be good about it. If I have to grab my car after work, they will stay a few minutes late for me to get there if needed because of traffic. They always inform you what they find, they are honest if it needs to be done now or if it can wait. I have been going here 2 years since my car purchase and I really dont have any complaints with Fathers and Sons

Where do I even begin. I would give this place zero starts if I could. About a month ago I had a key immobiliser issue on my Jetta. I had it towed over to the dealership and the service tech said that he will charge me 175$ to run a diagnostics. After the diagnostics he said that he would have to reprogram a new key which will cost 390$. We agreed and went ahead with the key but after a couple days the tech calls me back and says that the key still isn’t working and that it will need a whole new instrument cluster that is gonna be over 1000$. At this point I knew something was going on so I had the car towed back to another shop. The very next day I had a dealer contact me from fathers and sons asking me if I’m interested in buying a new car and that they had a good deal for me. I got very upset and hung up, dealership.... more like a stealership doing anything to make money. Anyways, after I had the car towed to another shop the mechanic reprogrammed the key later that week with no issues and my car is back on the road. Just disgusted with how much they steal your money! Never ever will I recommend anyone to get anything done here. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Was bringing my car In for Tdi emission recall to be done, Scheduled the appointment about 1 month in advance, When scheduling the appointment I asked to please have a loaner car available for me. On the day of appointment, When I got there they had no loaner car for me to use, and on top of that they said car will be done end of day, had to wait, 2 days later. No calls, BAD SERVICE, after they did the recall couples months down the road I needed service to be done on the car I brought it to a Different Volkswagen Dealer l to have it fixed by warranty, they never summited the paperwork to Volkswagen Of America that the Emission Recall was Done!!! If I could 0 Stars
Im extremely disappointed in the service we received. I brought my car in for a simple oil change and it took nearly 2 1/2 hours!!!!! I mentioned my dissatisfaction to the woman at the front desk and she completely dismissed me, not even offering a simple sorry, which was all I needed. I want to add that Im 9 months pregnant and had my 3 year old with me. I brought my car here for convenience and loyalty, but it was far from convenient.

The woman who answers the phone at this dealership is extremely rude. I asked to schedule an appointment for my car. She told me that they had no openings till next Wednesday. Then when I asked her if there was any way I could bring my car in sooner because of the dire situation the vehicle was in, she barked at me and repeated that the earliest appointment they had was next Wednesday. So I asked her if they were any other dealerships around with a sooner appointment time, she told me to Google it. If you do not like your job, quite; there are plenty of people looking for work who will do 10x better than you. Also, I did find someone who got me in to see my car this week, this woman whoever she is, is costing you business.
Absolutely terrible service, over charge and HORRIBLE customer service, the people at the front desk right now are schiesters and have no idea what they are talking about, need to be more about the customer or don’t work there, there’s a job, you chose it so do it right and smile, absolutely miserable. I had just drowned my second car in 2 months and was sick of taking the bus. Mitchell got me in to a very nice Audi for a great price and in less than 24 hours since I had all the financing done ahead of time. I would definitely buy a car from Mitchell again. I just want to start off by saying WOW! I was greates before I even entered the building by Chandler (who sold me my car over a year ago) and as I entered the employees directed me in the correct area for service. This is the first time I ever went there for an oil change so I figured it would be the same service as where I usually get my oil change. But I was wrong, and I’m glad I was. I’ve had bad experiences at other auto mechanic places and I tend not to trust many people anymore with my vehicle. First of all, it was about the same price as the other place that I’ve gone to get an oil change, but here at fathers and sons Volkswagen, not only did I get an oil change but they upgraded my software on my vehicle AND washed my car. I went for one things and left satisfied and felt appreciated from start to finish. Thank you for your great customer service and I will definitely be back!-Mari
Fathers and Sons was the 4th car dealer I went to, in search for my next vehicle. By comparison, Fathers and Sons was the best experience by far! The staff was very courteous, and helpful, without being overwhelming. I had the fortune to have Andrew Lewis from sales, to help, and guide me through my purchase. He answered all my questions, and helped me to get the car I wanted. He guided me from the test drive, all the way to signing on the dotted line. He even chatted with me while I was waiting for the paperwork to go through. Fathers & Sons took good care of me and my VW. I was a 7:30 am walk-in from out of town, towed to Fathers & Sons thanks to Mass Pike pot-holes - two flat tires. Susan and Jeremy in the Service Department could not have been more welcoming. The facility is spotless, it reminded me of a Las Vegas hotel. Susan fit me into the morning schedule and the repairs were completed within three hours. Late in the morning, Susan offered, Were going to get sandwiches for lunch. Would you like one? Well, you bet, thanks! Next morning, I received a call from the dealership, asking how did things go for you yesterday? Perfect! Start to finish, a great experience.

I was in a bind when it came to buying a new car, i needed something that i could get into asap for cheap but without losing any quality. Justin helped out with getting me into a 2014 Jetta s for as cheap as he could, and when i say as cheap as he could i mean him and the sales managers ran at least 20 different payment variations for over 30 minutes trying to shave every dollar they could. I couldnt be more grateful, and i will most likely either buy the car when the lease is over, or certainly lease another after this best service i could ever ask for.
We recently purchased an end of the year model Golf Wagon. The staff at Fathers and Sons has always treated us extremely well and we got a great deal. My husband has his Audi serviced here as well and they go out of their way to assure us a pleasant experience. Id recommend this dealership. Even though we live in Connecticut and have another dealership in close proximity, I prefer to go to West Springfield to Fathers and Sons Volkswagen.
I have purchased two volkswagon vehicles (2009 Volkswagon Jetta Sedan and 2014 Volkswagon Jetta Sports Wagon) that came from Father & Sons. Both vehicles had costly repairs within 60k miles, transmission replacement and a water leak that required the second vehicle to be disassembled. I am discouraged from buying a future volkswagon vehicle due to the poor quality of the two volkswagon vehicles I have recieved from them.
My husband decided I should be driving a new car when the odometer on my 2003 Audi reached 163,000 miles. We had seen the Q3 in Copenhagen when we were traveling in June and thought it would be a good option for me.When we visited Fathers & Sons in September, I test drove the demo and liked it very much. We placed an order for the Q3 and Vinnie told us it would arrive in December. As it turned out, the car arrived earlier and we picked it up last Thursday.Fathers & Sons handled the registration and the inspection, filled the tank, and gave us thorough instructions (thank you Jonathan Schulz for your patience and clarity in describing all the incredible electronic features of the car).Although we live in the Berkshires, we continue to purchase our cars at Fathers & Sons in West Springfield because they provide 100% satisfaction.

My family bought a 2010 used car from this dealership 4 years ago with 65,000 miles on it. Within the first two weeks of driving it we had noticed that the car had a hard time switching gears when coming to a stop and accelerating from 0mph. We took the car back into the dealership and they took a look at it, coming back to us a day later saying that the car used to have manual transmission and that they had done work on it to change it into an automatic; this was why it had a quirky transmission. This was never explained to us before we forked over 12.5 thousand dollars to them, and would have been something we would have liked to have known prior to buying the car. Along with this, every single light on the exterior of the car had to be replaced within the first 4 months of us owning the car, and the interior lights burnt out within the first 2 months. We also had to replace 3 of the 4 original tires on the car within the first 6 months. As if this wasnt all bad enough, the check engine light came on last week, and we just found out today that theres now a cracked oil seal and the cost to fix it is now more expensive than the cars worth. Same scam like all dealerships are but a nicer one because of the nice new building. They did sell my girlfriend a Jetta CPO, we shall see how they hold up on honoring warranty work.

Very clean dealership, lots of selection. Supposed to be low pressure, but I dont know that Id agree with that. They do have some great mechanics.

I recently purchased a 2015 VW Golf from Father & Sons and the experience was very pleasant. Everyone was very accommodating without being pushy like other dealerships I contacted. My questions were answered promptly, they tracked down the car I wanted, gave me a good price for my trade-in and a great price on the new car. Kevin, Justin, Jodi and Serena are a fantastic team. I highly recommend them for anyone on the market for a new VW. They said that they wanted us to leave happy and we did.

Brought my car in for an oil change and the staff was very helpful and quick! My vehicle (2015 vw passat) had a recall and they took care of it for me and gave me a loaner car for the inconvenience. I would recommend fathers and sons to my family and friends, I have purchased my last 2 vehicles here and will continue to do business with them.
Where to begin. Oh yeah. My Volvo was towed in to this dealership on Friday the 8/5. We called into the Service dept, to tell them that it was coming. On the following Tuesday the called to ask us where is it? On your lot I replied. Fine. We were told the rate to do a diagnostic would be x amount of $ per hour. Fine. By Tuesday afternoon. We were told that we needed a new battery to run the tests. Fine. Little did I realize they would put in a 300.00 battery. Long story short they said they could not fix our car. Made arrangements to have the junk yard come and get it. Paid what I owed. The service men told me my car was runnjng...I said that is impossible. Finally, they drove up in he wrong car. MY CAR was never even looked at. The key was still in the ignition, stuck, no battery in the car. Disgusting. Yes, I know everyone makes mistakes. But this is just incredible. Poor communications.They did refund my money. But he damage is done.I had to give you one star just to be able to post a comment.This really should have a negative star.

My husband and I recently brought our vehicles to Fathers & Sons for service. The service director, Steve OShea, couldnt have been more accommodating. He went above and beyond, as did our service advisor, Sue Dore. Everyone was great, including the customer service rep, Susan Roy who followed up with us every step of the way!
Just go somewhere else. Arrogant, rude, unhelpful. Just go anywhere else.
