Had to wait 30 minutes for my appointment to start but it was a Saturday and I was apologized to several times. I LOVE MY HAIR!! I feel beautiful and am happy with the high quality treatment. It was my 1st time going and I will return. I am so happy to go to someone who cherishes healthy hair.

Im very disappointed...I scheduled an appointment and on the day of my appointment, I was told I couldnt get what I wanted which is no heat in my hair, treated, and put into two French braids...I was told that I couldnt order add-ons(treatments, steam/protein) by itself (shouldnt that be on the site?)...why advertise healthy hair if its not practiced?!🙄...a lot of people dont want heat in their hair! Besides its humid and 80+ degrees outside! Why would I get a blow and go?! Thats wasting money? Ill take my business elsewhere🤬 #dobetter

Terrible etiquette with handling consumer complaints. I had been going to Carmen for nearly a year before she burned me with scalding hot water while sealing the ends of my braids. I didnt notice how bad it was until I got home, but when I told her about it, she implied I was lying, had her boyfriend call me to back her up and they made false offers to compensate me. When I tried to come to an agreement on the proof they wanted so I can get my refund/medical expenses paid/etc. as offered, she blocked me.This was handled so poorly and unprofessionally and I got injured. Im thinking about speaking to a lawyer. She styles hair just fine, but sit in her chair at your own risk.Photos below showing the severity of the burn. I reached out to her with my proof of injury and she ignored me.

I usually dont go to salons because in my experience they do not listen to the customer. I have been natural for about 10 years and have put alot of time in keeping my hair strong and healthy. I needed my ends cut so in August of this year I started searching for a natural hair salon and came across SBC. I went in and spoke with the person named Carmen and discussed what I wanted done. So taught we were on the same page, but i guess not I told her and her wash person that I washed blow dryer and flat iron at home the day before. And she said she still need to wash my hair, so ok I went with it. I even said to her this wont cause me any heat damage and she said no. Behold after taking out my braids I have heat damage went to talk with her about this and all she could do is laugh and tell me, she dont know what I want her to do. So if you go to this salon beware

The best place to go to get my hair done I highly recommend it to anyone with natural hair. Long lasting my hair been growing every since I been going there. I ABSOLUTELY love it there.

First time client: Tried to patronize this business since it was close by and had claims of specializing in kids hair, only to discover that theyre very UNPROFESSIONAL to say the least. Scheduled to have my daughters hair done SEVERAL DAYS IN ADVANCE, only to get a call an hour before her appointment to learn of some mix up with the scheduling. What, you didnt know your schedule beforehand??? The receptionist never got back with me, after the so called mix up and left, my daughter and I hanging!!! This is why Businessestypically dont succeed, because of poor customer service and lack of communication!!! WILL NEVER BOOK ANOTHER APPOINTMENT WITH THE BUSINESS, EVER!!!

I had an appointment in December to get my hair straightened, and not only did the appointment take 3-4 hours (which Ive never experienced at a salon when getting my hair straightened, typically it takes around 2) but I ended up with heat damage on my natural hair after the appointment. I knew I smelled hair burning, and I heard the stylist mention not knowing what that smell was. The detangling process was also painful because she detangled from roots to ends with a brush, rather than ends to roots with the conditioner in my hair. I appreciated her taking so long with my hair, but it ended up reverting back to natural three days later due to it misting outside. So, that, plus the heat damage made me pretty upset.

My sister and I get our hair done here all the time. They do a beautiful job everytime 🙂
