I have never been disappointed with the service at Appalachain Offroad. They are also very reasonably priced. I have taken my jeep there for several aftermarket changes and I’ve been very happy with the results. I also use them for regular maintenance. Prior to finding these guys I talked to a couple other offroad shops which made recommendations that would either try to sell me things I didn’t need or were way outside my budget. That has never been the case with my visits to Appalachain Offroad. They are very customer focused. I highly recommend them.
Mike is very knowledgeable and helped me out with a quick fix and answered all my questions. Highly recommend.
Great shop for off road vehicles. Quality work, Fair prices and very honest about what work is needed. #1 place I take my Jeep.
These guys fix it all with the fairest prices in the County.... From mall crawling to rock crawling they have you covered... Cant say enough about this shop and their employees....
Great prices, very friendly, very knowledgeable, and great work.
This is a top notch garage, all around great people to, wouldnt take my wifes jeep anywhere else, thanks
I don’t write many reviews but this place definitely deserves one!!! Frank and crew are awesome and super accommodating. Just bought a new Jeep JL and it’s my 4th wrangler. I’ve had lifts on all of them and these guys did a quality job.Frank answered all my questions in a timely manner and provided great advice through the process. These guys definitely care about the customer and love Jeeps!Frank was able to fit me in several times in their busy schedule when I needed work done. Their prices are also super fair.I will be coming back here again and again for service on my Jeep.
Great experience. I recently bought a used soft top that was missing some parts and the men at Appalachian Offroad were able to identify the part, and they gave me the part off of an old Jeep even though it’s not really sold at stores. I was then able to put it onto my Jeep successfully. Very reliable, very reasonably priced, I will be returning there in the future.
***This is where your Jeep wants to go.***Appalachian Offroad have been servicing and maintaining my Jeep for years.Honest and Forthright, Fair pricing, Trustworthy. This is a great shop with great people. They provide completely knowledgeable service for my Jeep. I always walk away feeling like I paid fairly for excellent top notch work that I can trust.
Outstanding service, knowledgeable mechanics who specialize in jeeps. Would not go anywhere else
Mike does great work at a reasonable price. He has been working/modifying my Jeeps for 15 years. Ive never had an issue with any work that was performed at Appalachian Offroad.
Great work and true experts on Jeeps.
I have two Jeeps and they both come here for all service. From simple to complex they handle it all. Very knowledgeable, very reliable, very professional. Mike and his crew are awesome even telling me not to do some of the work I wanted done because it would cause more problems. Will always take my Jeeps there for service.
Mike is a stand up guy. Gives it to you straight and I certainly appreciate that now a days in this industry. I had suspension install quotes from the dealership and from Trick Trucks for my 2013 RAM 2500 Mega diesel and Mike blew those quotes out of the water and did the work in half the time while keeping me up to date on the progress. A bit of a drive up to Westminster but well worth the drive. I highly recommend Appalachian Offroad for your suspension needs! Thanks again Mike.
After 130K miles and a winter of fun playing in the snow, I basically needed everything in the drive train replaced except the transmission. I called Mike after getting an estimate from the dealer. Based on his Google reviews, I told him he either had really good friends or really happy customers. He told me if I would give him the business, he was sure I would write a review too. I liked the confidence and really appreciated the work he did - on time and under budget! Here is that review Mike - I highly recommend Appalachian Offroad.
Great customer service! Very happy with lift kit install. They also went above and beyond to help me troubleshoot an unrelated issue. I would definitely recommend!
Not just a Jeep shop! I agree with all these 5 star reviews. Honest, talented mechanics are so hard to find. Mike and crew are the best. Finished on time and under budget lifting my F150. I will return!
Got some work done on my TJ. Frank squeeze into their schedule and the car was done and delivered as promise. Mike went out of his way to look at areas of concern. These guys are truly awesome !!! This is the only place where my Jeep will get work. Thanks Frank and Mike
Owned Jeeps since 1992, only shop Ive ever trusted to do any work on mine. They have built rollcages, regeared axles done suspension work etc. Ive also had them work on my Toyota pickup and Chevy trucks always been more than pleased with the quality of the work done. Owner Mike is a great guy who runs a fair and honest business and knows what he is talking about.
These guys are the best - they gave new life to my 2005 Escalade with a rebuilt front differential. They are honest and trustworthy and I will give them all my business. You are the best....
Ive been going to Mike for a decent amount of time. i havent been to him for over a year. i called him up about some problems i was having and he talked to me like i was just there yesterday. he fixes my jeep and let me know of any potential problems without any pressure to spend money (like other shops). hes very thorough with his work and my jeep is always fixed correctly. i drive over 45 minutes to get my jeep to his shop, but it is well worth the drive.
We recently ordered an item and never received shipping confirmation. After several weeks of waiting they said they were sorry it didnt ship and it would be sent right away with a confirmation email. One week later no shipping confirmation and still no merchandise. Called back and they said the package was lost. Without a shipping confirmation I doubt It ever got lost, most likely forgot for the second time. We canceled the order and will not purchase from this company again. Several months back, we ordered another item and to the same, did not receive any shipping confirmation. We did receive that item but had no idea when or where it was. I race off road full time and will definitely find a more reliable source for parts.
Took my 94 YJ in feeling like it was going to fall apart on the way. Took it home feeling like a Cadillac (almost). Exceeded my expectations in every way. They went above and beyond what I asked for. Mike made sure I got it back in time for weekend drive and the price was easy on my wallet. Ill be driving an hour to this shop for all my future Jeep needs/wants. Thanks a million guys!!
I have been meaning to write this review for a few months and finally am getting around to it. Appalachian Offroad diagnosed and fixed (on the first try) a problem that two other shops including the dealer couldnt figure out. They even managed to get it covered under my warranty, when the other shops told me they could not. Since then Ive been back for several unrelated items including a lift kit and Ive always gotten excellent service. I cant imagine taking my Jeep anywhere else... prices are fair and their knowledge is unsurpassed. Believe the reviews, these guys are the best.
You know that feeling when youre leaving a shop, and you think Finally, a mechanic I can actually trust, who knows what hes doing, and doesnt charge an arm and a leg? Theyre few and far between, but this is one of them. I dont write reviews unless I feel like I need to. Well, Mike at Appalachian definitely deserves it. I brought him a laundry list of things to do on my Jeep, and within 1 day, I got my Jeep back, all problems resolved, running 10x better than before I dropped it off that same day. I knew I was in good hands when he hopped in for a test drive, and instantly diagnosed 90% of the issues off of a 5 minute ride. His experience and instinct are invaluable. Most mechanics would trial and error your problems until they rack up a $1,000+ bill. But not Mike, he got it all right the first time, and when he told me the price, I thought it was too reasonable to be true, I figured theres no way he fixed everything. Nope, I was wrong. He fixed everything. My Jeep was running better than when I drove it home from the shop that inspected it 2 months ago! And he even pointed out some future repairs that I could use in the near future, but wasnt pushy about it at all, he was just looking out for me. Honest, fast, efficient, and most importantly, he knows exactly what the hell hes doing. If youve been around Jeep for a little while, you know how hard it is to come by somebody like this. He gives dealership quality work, but without the dealership games, lies, charges and fees, overly uncharged parts... He gets it done right and for a fair price, plain and simple. Definitely found my go to guy in Carroll county.
Had a great experience, everyone in the shop has a wealth of knowledge. Prices are extremely fair and work is fast and of high quality.
I recently had an AEV snorkel installed by Mike at Appalachian Offroad. Service and quality of work were outstanding. Paid half of what other 4x4 shops quoted me. Will definitely make this my 4x4 shop!
Great guys! Better service than any other shop around. For the job done and were very professional. Bringing my TJ back this month for some more work from them.
The best around for any off road need. Awesome knowledgeable staff that gets it done in a timely manner.
Best off road shop around. Honest and knowledgeable. Custom work thats affordable.
Had my Jeep Wrangler TJ re-geared from stock 3.07 gears to 4.10, after changing my stock sized tires to 32 inch size. My Jeep runs like new again. I highly recommend this shop for all of your 4x4 vehicle needs. Mike Bosley knows his business very well.Excellent business!!!
I have been to Appalachian Off-Road several times. Mike installed a 2.5 Teraflex lift on my 2014 Jeep Willys JK and it rides far better than stock. Mike saved me a ton of money by explaining the difference, and then selling me what I needed, rather than what I thought I wanted based on Internet research.I inherited a 2015 2DR Rubicon from a family member who lifted it using top quality parts that cost her a lot of money, but rode and drove like crap. Their answer, after spending close to $5,000 in their store, buy more new parts, because essentially they sold her the very basic kit that they knew would require further parts replacement to get it right.I took it to Mike, and with a few key component changes, it is much improved. I am adding a few more parts that Mike agrees will probably will need replacing down the road (and offered me several lower cost options) but my OCD is in full overdrive so I am replacing them now (and I bought heavy duty 1-ton units instead) just in case bigger axles are In the future.Save yourself time, money, and headaches. Mike can and will fix your Jeep right the first time.
One of the best ive found. A one or two man operation, so dont be in a hurry, but he appears to know what he is doing and i trust his work on my Jeep. That is something i dont easily say.Worth the hour drive to get there, and when you get 11mpg and typically dont travel far in your 4wd, thats saying a lot about my feelings toward AOI.
Very honest and reliable
Great Service, Great Owner, Great Prices. What more could you ask for.
No better off road shop on the east coast. Ive taken two brand new Silverados (2005 and 2015) to the shop and new 6 & 7 inch lifts installed. They stand by their work and Ive been dealing with them for 10 years.I would put Mike up against any shop anytime anywhere.........Not just anybody that I would take my 45k Silverado to with 100 miles on it.......
Best off-road shop in MD
Today is the second time I have called for parts, been put on hold for over ten minutes, then disconnected. (Zach) What gives?
Mike and Frank know what they are doing with Jeeps had my Jeep at Apple of Hanover two times to have it fixed almost five hundred later still the same problem took it Mike it was fixed and hour later and for less than a hundred dollars
Jeep place for Jeep upgrades
