Called before I went and was told they had my battery in stock. After I had paid and they brought out the battery to my car. I drove off, but for some reason decided to stop and check if it was the correct battery. It was not. Drove back to store. The cashier went to retrieve the correct battery, only to find out it was busted. Got my refund and old battery and left. Wasted trip.

One of the worse customer service. Went to get one tire changed and the guy behind the counter told me itd be about 2 hours which was fine. They had me waiting all day and when I called I was left on hold for over an hour. All the times I called after they didnt answer. Dont waste your time or money on this place

Excellent service. Gave me an estimate of 2 days, was complete in 1. Also went the extra mile, I had a hanging front bumper guard, my dealership quoted $150 to fix it. They did it gratis and never even mentioned it. Highly recommended.

Good service, friendly but I bought two new tires and preferred them in the front of my car. Told that the company policy prohibits when you buy two tires to put them in the front so I had to rotate all the tires myself once home?.

Very helpful I was told by another shop before I went to National Tire and Battery to get tires that I needed brakes they looked at my brakes and said I did not need them yet and gave me a good deal on my tires.

Sales person told me most of the tires the size I was looking for were not for vehicles but trailer type tires saved me on failing an inspection so plus plus on his honesty

Needed two front tires for my moms vehicle. They were ordered and put on the next day. The tires didn’t arrive on the truck as planned and they went out of their way to drive and pick them up from another location to ensure it was finished as needed. Brett was very informative, polite, and was even nice enough to help my mother get her GPS activated again when she didn’t understand why it shut off (from being towed). Thanks for all of your help! We will be back.

My husband and I use NTB at two locations cockeysville and Westminster. I recently got my oil change at the Westminster location since I work in the area and always have excellent service.Jack at the front office is very friendly and pleasant to speak with. This company hires employees that really care about what they do and it shows at both locations we go to.

Went in today, Wednesday 7/14, for a tire leaking air. Asked for someone to examine it and patch if needed. The front desk person said they were too busy (1 auto was in their bays) and that I could make an appointment for the following Monday, 7/19. He handed me a business card with Michael’s name on it ( I think it was that name as I trashed it in disgust). I went down the road to Mr. Tire and it was fixed in 30 minutes.

Wanted 2 buy 4 tires sale buy 2 get 2 free and they only have 2 in stocks so the sale is only if they are in stocks or they can get them before sale day ends. You can pay before hand and still get sale price.beware of these tire places.you cantpay before sale ends to get deal at ntb. Beware peps.

I dropped off a flat tire for repair one morning and it took them 24 hours to fix it after telling me it would be done the same day.

This NTB was the only location that had the tires I needed in stock. I called and the person I spoke to told me they were booked, but bring the car in and they’d see what they could do. I was needing the new tires ASAP as I’d run over something and was running on a spare. Drove an hour to get there. The staff was courteous and professional. I dropped the car off and walked to grab lunch. By the time I got back, they had the car in and found out what I’d run over. Had the car out shortly after that, and as good as new. They were fast, friendly, and professional. Would definitely recommend this NTB anytime.

Very nice place and great event

After having four brand new tires put on by the NTB in Glen Burnie,, 30 miles down the road I had a flat tire. NTB in Westminster, specifically, Brett did a wonderful job of fixing the mess made by a sister store. He went above and beyond to make things right. Kudos to Brett, you are an asset to NTB.

Took my car to Westminster location. They did oil change. Supposingly, looked over brakes and such. Told me brakes were fine. Got into my car and started home, when I realized I had NO brakes! Went back and asked them what they did to them. They checked and said that I blew a brake line under the hood. No rust or corrosion did I notice! I only drove around the corner. Didnt feel right when I got into my car, but I thought I was just a little tired from working. Well they must have seen me coming! A woman...alone at the time!! About a week later, it cost me over $275.00 to get my car back! What a rip!I took my car to my regular garage! Guess what I need? And...i hardly go 8 miles to work! I really had no choice at the time! I sure did hear a mouthful though! Next time if Im in that situation again...i will have it towed to my guy!Filed a complaint with BBB. Lets just say that they arent like they used to be! I might get chewed down for a review like this! I dont care! If it can help one...thats good! Put in a call for manager, who never got back to me! Gentlemen....i might be a woman, but Im surely not stupid either!Do these review stars go to any negatives? I had to put a 1 to write this review...however....minus would have been better! Purchased tires online from tirerack and had them installed at NTA, also wanted an alignment. When my vehicle was done, I was advised by the service writer that my truck did not need an alignment with supporting documentation. I appreciate not being upsold on something I did not need.

Never had a problem with Merchants. Theyve always taken care of me and my cars needs with no issue. They are very timely in the matter of getting you back behind the wheel. The only issue Ive had with working with Merchants has been the price. I chose to go elsewhere over that issue but other than that, I love them!

Flat fixed in a jiffy. Fit me in between others which was greatly appreciated. Covered under road hazard. No charge, doesnt get any better than this. Great friendly service.

What a great experience! Mr. James Campbell took excellent care of me. I live in PA and was down visiting when I saw the screw. It could not be repaired so I had to buy a new tire. Mr. Campbell fitted me in the schedule right away. They did not take advantage of me just because I had to have it replaced immediately. I highly recommend them. The customer service and pricing was exceptional. Thank You NTB, I will never forget how well I was treated. 🙂

Great employees an good service

I scheduled an appointment through Campbell, at least 1wk in advance, for 11am. My brake pads are under warranty, so I was informed the service would be no charge.I arrive at 10:45am, check in with Jack, and sit in the lounge. At 11:55am, I am informed that my car has not even been touched. I sat for over an hour! FOR NOTHING! Some courtesy to let me know things are running behind would have been decent. But no..I will never return, warranty or not!

Bobby agreed to fit my car in. Kept me up to date on the findings and get me a warranty discount on a premature breakdown of my tire. I very much appreciated the honesty and information given when asking questions about my mechanics on my car. Thank you.

This is the only auto center that Ill use! Ive been going to The merchants auto center in Westminster for the past 10 years. Ive tried other places but Ive never been satisfied. The same guys of been working there since I started taking my cars there years ago. They make it a personal experience! They always get me in the same day for any emergency, and even non emergencies, and they have the work done quickly. They never try to take advantage, or oversell, me. They are trustworthy crew. On the flipside, I would never go to another merchants auto center again! They are not all created equal, so beware! I bet hands-down the WESTMINSTER LOCATION is the best place to take your car for just about any work you need done. I continue to travel up to this location even if its out of the way ;)

Fantastic service and turn around time. Front end service very positive.Cons: did not have the correct tool to release the electronic parking break in order to flush the break system. They need updated tools from corporate to be able to keep up with modern advancements/trends in the automobile industry.

The best car repair experience I have ever had the staff Fred and Bob were very helpful and friendly had to leave my car and Bob took me home. Called me 15 minutes before closing to tell me that my car was finished (was expecting to get it the next day) which was OK with me. Bob came back and picked me up to get my car after closing. They are the best. Thank you very much for a pleasant experience I will be back.

I love this place!!! For years, I have been going to the one on Reisterstown Road, but Paul, who is very nice and helpful, referred me to Darren at the Westminster location. Once I arrived, I explained what I wanted and he offered me different options that mirrored what I wanted. I felt no pressure from a sales perspective and he showed me the tire that had a nail in it. I value the integrity of this place and he was extremely helpful. In addition to this, Darren was polite, professional, and was focused on helping me. I cant ask for more. You won a customer.

As always, the work on our car was done perfectly, for a very fair price, and it was ready early. We only go to NTB, because we trust their work and we have experienced them going the extra mile to make sure were happy.

Not sure what has changed. We have been going there since NTB took over Merchants. Jack was good but seemed off task. Matt is less than friendly. I took my wifes car in for service and tire rotation and balance.After driving it for a week I told my wife I noticed an oil leak in our driveway. I looked under the car and noticed oil dripping. I called and was asked to bring the car to the shop. At 10.20am today I received a call that the car was ready. I had to ask what the issue was. With hesitation Matt said it was the gasket on the oil pan plug that was leaking. I went to pick it up and was handed the key abruptly and without any explanation or apology for the inconvenience. I am concerned and we will be looking for somewhere else to get our car taken care of.

I think its probably the best NTB in Maryland. I have had bad experiences in all the other ones but not this one. They do a good job and the service manager Mr. Jack is a nice guy.

I called the Westminster MD store yesterday to make an appointment for today. The person on the phone took my info and said see you tomorrow after 1pm.I arrived early to drop the vehicle off and the manager said they probably would not finish the car today because they were so busy. I said it is a 30 minute job. He became nasty, started entering my info into the computer and a price came up 3 times what was on their web site. I questioned it and was told that prices had gone up. I said 300%, he said that NTB was raising prices. I said that the store, Merchant tire that NTB had just taken over was a good store but that I would never return to NTB. Typical Bait and Switch

These guys are great. I figured Id take my 11 accord to the Honda dealer for an issue it was having. Honda charged me a ton of money and the issue still wasnt fixed. I took my car to Merchants and right away they identified the issue and fixed it the same day. They never try to sell unnecessary services to me and always call me with the cost and details before doing anything on my car. They were also courteous enough to take me home and pick me up again when I didnt have a ride available. They are always nice and I never feel like theyre taking advantage of me like at other service shops.

Im completely disappointed with this business. This morning I had an emergency with a flat tire. We put air in it just so that I could get to a shop to get it fixed, yet when I walked into the shop (with zero other customers) I was told that it would be more than two days before they could look at it. As someone who used to work for a tire shop, I can tell you that we would have never turned away someone who had a tire that was actively losing air. I then drove to Mr. Tire, who was able to fit me in and help. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

This place did a good job and had nice people

About a month or 2 ago my gf took her car here for an oil change, they certainly did change her oil, they also kindly checked on her cabin air filter among other things Im sure. They let her know that she needed to replace that and her broken glovebox... for those of you who dont know however; the filter is located behind the glovebox... which was not broken before the car arrived at the shop. So while checking on the filter it seems they broke the hinge on the glovebox and wanted to charge us to fix that as well. Im sure it was just some underpaid mechanic that fd up and lied to his supervisor which is why Ill have the decency to not leave 1 star. Not looking for a response from the owner as its all said and done, just here to warn other human beans... Not that I care for them much either. 😘

Yesterday 2/21/20, found out that NTB had not sufficiently tightened the Oil Filter and Drain Plug on my SSR causing an oil leak and if those parts had fallen off, it would have been end of an aluminum LS2 Corvette engine and or a crash due to the oil spill.After discovering this I went to NTB to check my old service records and was told that they had NEVER done an oil change on my SSR.Needless to say that will be the LAST time they ever touch any of our three vehicles again.Brian Eriksen

I brought in my brand new 2018 tacoma to get larger tires. I called first to see if they had the tires I wanted and they said they did on the phone, but as soon as I got there they only had 3 in inventory so I eneded up going with another tire. I got all 4 replaced and got a alignment. I went home to clean my truck and noticed all the wheels had gouges where the old wheel weights once were (they used a metal tool to take them off) and I immediately called there store and was asked to come in so they could see it. I went to the store and Bobby Wise the manager confirmed what I had said and told be he would make it right and all I received so far was 700 of the 1400 I was to receive. Its been almost 2 months and I am still waiting. Also the alignment that I was charged for was never done or done incorrect becase I took it to toyota becauss it pulled while driving, sure enough the alignment was off by more then just a little so I paid for another alignment to make it right. If you dont care about your vehicle id say bring it here, you will be lied to and cheated almost guaranteed. Still waiting on this check I was told I would receive.

Customer service was excellent came in near closing time and was helped as if I came in earlier in the day.

Where to begin? On two separate occasions, now, the guys at Merchants have come through like heroes. This last visit was a few days before the chaos of Thanksgiving and the travel that goes with it. Id been informed by another company back in May that the two rear tires on my Ford Focus were in poor shape, but finally got the chance to do something about it Thanksgiving week. The first place I went to couldnt do the job until Wednesday afternoon, and were fully $100 higher than I wound up paying at Merchants. When I walked through the front door, a customer was already being helped ahead of me, but that didnt stop Jack Elseroad from greeting me. I waited, and watched: He was cordial, professional, and took the time to explain to the customer exactly what each item on their bill meant, and answered their questions completely, thoroughly, and with respect. He never sounded patronizing or looked away from them as they spoke.When it was my turn, he listened to my situation and we reached a reasonable solution. I was fortunate to be somewhat flexible with my time, though I had just left my wife at the salon in the Mall - when I asked Jack when the work could be done, he said theyd be done by that evening. When I explained that I couldnt leave the car at the moment, he promised that itd still be done that night if I could get the car back to them that afternoon. Once more, the entire conversation was cordial, friendly, and with a handshake, the deal was done.He - and the entire team - were as good as their word. The job was done on time, at the price agreed, and with respect to not only my time, but to my wifes - and important to me - their crew, too. When I returned that evening to pick up my car, Matt Reter explained everything that had been done. When I asked about other services for my wifes car, his answers were the FIRST out of every shop in town to actually explain the nature of the task I inquired about. Like Jack, he was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.These guys were absolute rockstars, and took great care of my car and my budget. I cannot recommend them enough.

Really bad communication. I had a repair done for one window there and found out later that the cost was way overestimated. I also had a problem with what they told me for estimate and what was charged. I tried to work out with the manager and he never called me back. I was with Merchants for awhile, but in retrospect, I think they overcharged me and took me for a sucker. I would advise not to trust them.

Got an oil change . They rotated my tires and didn’t even put the lug nuts back on tight . Very dangerous ! They told all my tires were bad . Went to a another shop & they said my tires are good . First and last time going to this merchants !

Took my car into merchants for an oil change and later the same day the car starts acting up. turns out i had a loose spark plug so im assuming whatever idiot did the complementary inspection with my oil change didnt assemble the car back together properly. the loose spark plug caused a coil to burn out resulting in about a $150 repair. do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here.
