My wife and daughter went there a few weeks ago and were ignored and never assisted after asking and waiting fifteen minutes. My daughter took her business to Bassett Furniture where she purchased a sofa and dining room table and will be going back for a bedroom set. They were very accommodating and treated her the way a customer should be treated. My son didnt know what transpired with his sister and went there today and asked for assistance and the same thing happened to him. Three people were helping a lady returning broken glasses instead of assisting him with a living room and bedroom set. He is on his way to Norwalk in his search. I gave them two stars instead of one only because the merchandise is priced fairly and the quality is above average.
I had a similar experience as below reviewer. I too wish PB had better customer service on a whole. I went in with husband to buy a big set and not given the time of day. I found that you have to find a designer and book appointments if you want help. And you have to pursue them. The first designer came to our home, took pictures then nothing more. The second I have to do everything in person with, she doesn’t email. Good luck & happy shopping!
I went to shop for about 10K worth of furniture. Nobody even acknowledged me as I entered, walked around, or left the store. I guess it’s better to spend mymoney elsewhere. The store was nicely laid out and clean; that’s about all they had going for them.
After shopping at POTTERY BARN #361 located at 27 Main Street Westport, CT 06880, I asked to use the lavatory to wash my hands. The lavatory is locked with a keypad in the Westport store. I was told I would not be given access as it is closed due to COVID. With the sanitizer receptacles completely empty, I asked the rationale as cleaning hands with soap and water is an effective tool in the find against the virus. The manager ignored my question and entered an office closing the door behind her.I understand were living through difficult times but the only way well make it through these times together is to treat each other with respect and compassion. My previous shopping experiences have been without incident and I dont believe my appearance factored into my treatment by the store manager.
Harassed by a young blonde here only to not receive any help. Then the older woman at the register made jokes of misspelling my name to Rhonda. She thought it was funny. But all I could see was their fear of a black woman. Terrible experience
Dealing with Pottery Barn has been my worst consumer nightmare. I ordered furniture in October 2020. Was told that it would be delivered 6-8 weeks. Then I was told that due to COVID and supply chains it would take longer. WEll 6 months later I get an email saying my furniture was going to be delivered. I in anticipation sold all my living room furniture as I had ordered a brand new living room. THe truck arrived with one chair for us. The majority of my furniture was not on the truck and two hours on the phone led the customer service people to tell me they had no idea where my furniture was. One rep said that I should just order a ready made couch and one person tell me that it was reasonable to wait another 6 months for a new couch set and love seat to be made. I also learned that someone had cancelled part of my order without my knowledge. I have emailed the CEO @lalber twice and heard no response. I have spoke to the #westportpotterybarn store manager who tells me that someone documented that they spoke with me to help sort this. NO ONE actually called me. There is no accountability in this company. NO ONE is willing to actually help. Shame on you #potterybarn for abusing your customers and their trust when COVID has made life difficult enough.
Michelle was amazing to work with. She is the best designer I have ever met. My girlfriend and I were in a time crunch to get our bedroom redone and redesigned before her family came into town. Michelle and the management team at this Pottery Barn moved mountains to help us! Look no further for your home furnishings / Beddings needs than this store. Ask for Michelle!
I just spent 4 hours with the exceptional Josephine Brown at Pottery Barn. She is a designer and I brought in a list of things I wanted to purchase to update my family room. It was an uninspired list and she sensed my hesitation. She talked to me, discovered the look I was going for and then in 4 hours designed an amazing space from top to bottom. I can’t wait to get the furniture!I am amazed at her talent, her skill and her patience with me. No one should design a room without Josephine’s help ♥️ Thank you PB for having people like Josephine on your team!! I will be back :)
Good luck finding someone to help you. Searched through some swatches on my own and ordered my drapery online.
Good selection of furniture. Interior designer available for in home consultation. Had a good labor day sales event. Could do better with some flexibility on pricing options.
Nicely merchandised store. They obviously take pride on how items are displayed. Very nice staff & easy to browse. I like the fact that there are seats while my wife looks around. Most of their style does not appeal to those with an eclectic taste.
Nice things and great customer service. Price on the high side but for the most part t is good quality
I’ve been to better pottery barns and they don’t even acknowledge you when you come in. Just wave or nod or something.
Great selection. Went here to buy a new comforter cover and pillow cases and found out they were on sale which made it even better! My only complaint was that there really wasnt any customer service and I appreciate that while shopping. Especially for home decor.
Nice store large variety of merchandise and friendly staff. Many unique items.
I ordered many thousands of dollars worth of stuff from them during a summer promotion that earned me rewards dollars. When Christmas came, I was excited to use my rewards for some holiday shopping, only to be told my $400 had expired just 3 days earlier (didnt see the fine print, on the back). Even after several calls and emails to customer service, and documented sales of more than $10k, they said too bad -- and email to higher-ups are corporate were simply ignored. So now I share this word story every chance I get -- BOOooooooo Pottery Barn -- you lost me FOREVER.
Love this store. Its big, bright, airy, not pushy and has a helpful staff.
The sales associates seem to have very little interest in the customers, myself and those around me. Otherwise, its a very nice store.
Not the biggest pottery barn Ive been in but very nice.... parking can be a challenge thats the only reason I gave it 4 ☆ instead of 5
Walked into the store and was amazed!
Expensive stuff
Super rude.
