DON’T GO THERE!! OWNER IS EXTREMELY RUDE TO CUSTOMERS!! I had just arrived with my daughter who had gotten a gelato up the street. While looking at the menu on my phone he approached us and asked if we had purchased a beverage or something to eat from his shop. Of course, I said no not yet, but I can. He asked us to leave in a not so very kind way. He never gave us a chance to look at the menu and order before immediately approaching us or the opportunity to finish looking at the menu to decide. It was early Friday evening and there was only one other table occupied outside, so it was not like we were taking a table away from a customer who knows his menu and can order immediately. There was no one standing around waiting for a table. There really was no reason for his rude behavior. Kindness will grow a business, rudeness will close it. Just save yourself from embarrassment and being treated like you are not worthy enough to enjoy something from there. There are many other shops who would really appreciate your business, will allow you a few minutes to look at the menu, and treat you with respect.
My husband & I both had the Açaí bowl. It was delicious & refreshing. We will be repeat customers. Highly recommend.
A nice cup of coffee with some lovely baked goods. Decent eat in area with a few tables outdoors as well. Will def try again
Gg and Joe as a whole, is a nice environment and most of the workers there are friendly, however, the owner is very rude to returning loyal customers. This is the second encounter I’ve had with Joe where he has approached me in a very hostile manner. Both of the times he’s approached me he has questioned whether or not I have made a purchase “are you going to buy something because if not there is a Starbucks or library”. I also run a business, as a business owner to another business owner this is not the way you treat or approach customers - returning customers at that. He ruined the experience of being there by monitoring the amount of time you’re there for and how much money you spend. I think the owner struggles between the difference of a coffee shop and a restaurant. He’s waiting for customers who want to buy a whole meal and have restaurant service and kicking out customers who want to grab a coffee and a treat to get some work done on their laptops. I will not be returning to GG and Joe and I recommend anyone who is looking for a place to sit, snack, and get work done without being harassed go somewhere else. Best of luck of Joe.
Upbeat gathering place with counter and table seating indoors and outdoors. Healthy choices and good coffee. Extremely noisy with poor acoustics. Would have sat outside if it wasnt raining.
The vibe is nice but the food is severely overpriced considering the amount and quality they give you. An açaí bowl with only three fruit additions that takes up less than half the bowl should not cost 12 dollars. The customer service was fine but the food... wouldnt recommend
My first time here. Had a great smoothie, will definitely go back for coffee and pastries. They looked incredibly delish. The store has great outdoor seating and very chill indoors
Love Gg& Joe! I started going here the minute they opened which I believe was just months (?) before COVID-19. I usually get an iced drink a la costa bowl with almond butter and occasionally a delicious pastry they have. They’re consistent and delicious. They are always busy but are also fast in preparing the food.I like the new website ordering to avoid waiting long in the queue.
Fun vibes and good coffee. Food is expensive but its Westport 💁
Do not go here. I ordered a scone and a smoothie and it costed $14. The scone was dry and hard, definitely not freshly made. The smoothie was the blue sky smoothie and tasted like spoiled milk. I had to throw it out after taking two sips. Everything was extremely over priced, and the employees were not nice, and the smoothies were not enjoyable. My friend ordered an açaí bowl that was 1/3 full, and she paid $12 for it. I recommend saving your money, and just going to the starbucks down the block.
Expensive, slow, poorly run, found a hair in my last smoothie bowl...Joe doesn’t invest himself in nor see the value in his loyal regular customers, but sticks to his business in an uptight, cold manner, with zero interpersonal skills. After a strange and unimpressive experience with JOE today, making it the second terrible experience with JOE in the maybe three times I’ve ever seen him, after I’ve been a REGULAR there since they opened, I, utterly disappointed, am not going back. Joe clearly has no idea how to manage a business, let alone communicate with people, and focuses on the wrong things. I have been going AT LEAST between 3-5 times each week, and his lack of management skills has convinced me I am more valued at Starbucks. Which is where I will now spend my $10 each and every day.The kids at the register are nice, but the service is so slow. The customers sitting inside all take their masks off and keep them off-the kind of thing Joe should actually be monitoring rather than, for example, lecturing regular customers for bringing in a water bottle, or his kicking loyal customers out for doing some work or charging their phones on a day between paydays when they can’t afford a drink and have nowhere warm to go, IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC.It’s DOWN TO THE POOR MANAGEMENT. Its the fact that he times you from the minute you sit down. It’s the fact that it’s a smoothie place but they only have THREE BLENDERS despite the huge lines. The impersonal and clueless excuse for a manager, who again, doesn’t seem experienced with business or people, turned me off today from the overly-expensive product forever. You just lost this loyal customer.
I always will walk into a locally owned establishment before a nationally recognized branded store and these days its probably even more important. Yesterday while in Westport needed an afternoon pick me up and was glad I came upon this bright, cheerful full of life space in CT. Great coffee and bakery items with more options available. A true local gathering place with laptops open and notes being shared amongst the young patrons was in full force.Cant wait for next visit when in the area.
Good smoothies- and wonderful outdoor seating
My favorite place for a nice light lunch. Coffee is fantastic too. Decor is super cute, love the LA vibe and it smells divine, too!
I really liked the Anna banana bowl. Staff was friendly and we got our food quickly.
GG & Joe is a lovely place with fast services, great smoothies, and avocado toast. Great comfort place with free wifi, a beautiful couch to hang out with friends and family. Sunday I bought a (boss lady) and it literally came out in a minute which is unbelievable. Great job to Mike hes super fast with the smoothies. He was so kind and his waves are so nice. After I took the boss lady I said Thanks and he stated: youre welcome enjoy your smoothie and have a great day.
The place has a decent view and actually in many respects is a nice place. it loses a star for me because it is massively overpriced. If price is a non-issue for you, add a star.It loses another star because the owner was kind of rude. Up until today I would come by 2 or 3 times a week. I would get tea and a snack while I mess around on my laptop for a few hours. Today there was a long line so I decided to get things later after the line had settled down. A person who said he is the owner came by and suggested I go to Starbucks or some place else that offers free internet because he needs the seating for other customers. He said even though I I come by regularly, hes too busy to have people just taking up a table using the internet.I was happy to oblige his needs and simply left. I will no longer trouble him be coming by. I hadnt realized that spending a leisurely afternoon in a coffee shop has become unacceptable thing.
We went a couple times. Very popular spot. Good quality coffee and baked goods however; the staff isn’t too experienced and some protocols are missing like wearing gloves. The shop is busy and it seems hard to maintain social distancing. Perhaps someone on staff can encourage this behavior.
The taste of their coffee was love at first taste. I’ll definitely be back. 💕💕💕
Best avacado toast Ive had. Great relaxed environment and professional service
This place is awesome. Real clean with a great ambiance. Whether ur with ur family or simply meeting a friend out, the drink and food options are great and taste even better
Burnt, poorly made latte . Really nice location . Food seemed a bit pricy for what it was
Very clean and nice selection of assortments however there is always someone working behind the counter playing with or swaying their hair back and forth. Gloves and a hair tie would be more appealing when ordering and eating food.
The blue spirulina bowl was delicious. Seating indoors is pretty limited considering how popular the new cafe is. There is some outdoor seating.
This is a really cool place to grab breakfast. The interior decor is chic and there is plenty of outdoor seating. Definitely get their ice coffee!!
Smoothie was great, doughnut was great. Good music, friendly staff. Will definitely go again. Thank you guys!
I love all the healthy options and variety they have. I enjoy trying new things and I love the different bowls and avocado toast on multigrain bread. Sometimes it is a challenge to figure out what to order.
Yummeh, nice ppls
We ordered a gluten free avocado toast and acai berry gg& joe bowl. The acai berries were frozen- I was expecting room temperature berries.Except for that, both the entrees met our expectations. Outdoor seating and beautuful decor inside.
I had the blue sky smoothie, excellent. Service was great and staff was friendly
My daughters new favorite place to go to for a bowl or smoothie. And she has great taste.
Since moving to Wesport its clear nobody knows how to make a proper matcha cappuccino or latté... so I gave it a go at GG & Joe.I dont get matcha often here since working at Cha Cha Matcha locations in New York City and LA, where regulars included Kendall Jenner, Andre 3000, Leonardo DiCaprio - and notably Virgil Abloh who designed cups and t-shirts for the cafe (see image below).Nick made my regular matcha order: double shot of matcha with oat milk. I must say, its by far the best matcha Ive had in Connecticut and not far at all from the quality found in New York and LA.I will be coming back.LOVE YOU SO MATCHA™ GG & Joe!
Homemade almond milk makes all the difference!! My new favorite coffee joint in town! Thanks Gina!
Not only is the food delicious but the service is incredible. Everyone is so nice and their space is lovely!!
Delicious peanut butter smoothie! Nice clean space with plenty of outdoor seating.
Way overpriced. Portion size meh. Dont taste acai.
Pretty decent golden milk
