I’ve worked for paper source and have been to a few of their locations and had great experiences. This location is consistently the outlier.Of the handful of times I’ve been there in the last year, I am always made to feel like an inconvenience by walking in: no greeting, no offer to assist or asking the reason I’m shopping. I’ve asked if certain products are in stock only to be met with an annoyed look accompanied with: we sold out of that a LONG time ago.I called this afternoon to ask a question about a product and was hastily and rudely put on hold (I do not mind being put on hold- retail is busy and in store customers come first! But you can quickly and politely put someone on hold just as easily!). When the associate was able to speak to me, I asked what kind of printable labels they had in store; I wanted to make sure they had a certain size in before driving to Westport. This seemed like a massive inconvenience for the associate who asked if I had an item number. No item number, I wanted help and possible suggestions to see what the store had in stock. The associate told me she had what I needed and that I should search the paper source website (I did- websites don’t always accurately reflect what’s in stock in store). Because I was assured that the store had the right size printable labels in stock, my fiancé drove to take a look around. Not only was he not greeted nor offered assistance, but he was told the store did not have what we needed in stock.TL;DR shop at other paper source locations, PS online, or a local shop. This location is not worth coming to.
Cool
This store offers a Happy Returns drop off. Easiest return Ive ever made. Really cute stuff inside the store, too.
Unique foils - gift paper, cards, pretty fun kitschy items. Trendy and fun
Rude manager. Seemed so bothered and irritated with simple questions. When I have entered the store on a few occasions very excited about planning an event, I have gotten shot down and left feeling angry with such negative behavior. As much as I try to support retail stores, I will avoid this place at all costs and go elsewhere or online. This by far the worst Paper Source that I have been in.
Love buying gifts for people in this store. There is something lovely for everyone!
Came into paper source last minute to get a card for my grandmas 80th birthday. Darla went out of her way to help me find the perfect card. My grandma was thrilled and laughed out loud saying it was one of the best cards she got that day. Cant thank Darla and paper source enough.
My favorite place to go for paper craft supplies. I do a lot of crafting and card making and they have the best selection of paper. I find the staff to be kind and very helpful.
The service charges are mind blowing. A simple gift wrapping is $15-$20 and blowing up a balloon costs $25. Never coming here again.
Great people
I literally just left the Paper Source in downtown Westport and I will never go back which is unfortunate because I adore their store. The last time I was there about 1 week ago I had my 1 1/2 year old son walking around the store while I shopped. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. One male employee helped me find a specific size envelope I was looking for.Well when I returned home later that day I realized that I had purchased their flat cards instead of envelopes. Today I returned to purchase a few more gifts and to return the flat cards. I had the receipt with me and although I had opened the cards thinking they were envelopes the cards themselves were in perfect condition. The woman ( I am assuming a store manager) refused to take back the cards because there was some crud (it was in my sons diaper bag) on the outside PLASTIC part of the package. This could have easily been wiped clean.I am not concerned about the $5+ dollars I lost. What makes me extremely disappointed is the fact that the employees who worked there the first time I was there that were extremely nice and sympathetic to the fact that I had a wild toddler (who was very well behaved by the way!) was this time telling him to NOT touch anything and to keep an eye on him. Like he even understands what you are saying. He is 1 1/2 years old. They were making it extremely stressful to shop while micromanaging my son expecting him to act like an adult. Maybe because their manager was there? I dont know. Regardless, they were rude. The fact that with a receipt in hand, and the item itself in perfect condition they refused to take it back. Seriously? Because of some smudges on the plastic wrapper?I am a business owner who works with high end customers and I understand good customer service. This was NOT good customer service. Any parents with toddlers thinking about going to Paper Source in Westport I recommend finding a different store. I will not be returning. You arent a china shop, you are a paper and gift store with lots of fun and bright color items decorating your space. Children love your store and to put pressure on parents telling them not to touch anything while shopping is ridiculous.
Literally just walked out of the store without making a single purchase. Managers if you care, see who was working at 10:20 on Monday August 14th. No one greeted me at the store when I entered. I went and and asked a question about the handmade papers and it seemed to be inconvenient to want to help me. When I found what I thought would be a possibility, I went to the same sales person for assistance. She was busy writing some things down at the counter and I continued to wait until I decided she was just plain ignoring me. Though I love Paper Source products, I doubt I will be back, at least to this location again.
I’ve given this location a few chances and they continue to be rude and “put out” by having to help you as the customer. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Spendy stationary with a variety of offerings and customization.
A truly great selection!

Products are great - staff is incompetent.
RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL management. Need I say any more? Dont support this company!
