Great local hardware store, a refreshing change from having to go to a big box warehouse style store. Great Variety of products for home maintenance and improvement and the service is exceptional, if you have questions they are there to help and happy to do so. I will go here as much as possible to support a local owned shop.

I took 2 table lamps that had not been working for a couple of years and I finally decided to do something about it so in checking where to go it was Carlson True Value Hardware. Both lamps they fixed at a very reasonable cost. So glad I went there.

Personally, I have about twenty shopping trips to Carlson spread over five years, and everyone of them has been a success with satisfaction. I roll right up with my bicycle. Love that a clerk always greets you and offers to help.

Has everything you need. Always polite.

Carlsons True Value is the hardware store that is there to serve, fix & help restore your home projects. They will advise, train & special order whatever you need. Dont throw away those lamps & items with a short, bring them in for repair. Learn how to fix the minor plumbing problems with just the right product. Terrible service. Flat out worst customer service I have ever had. I never write bad reviews but this takes the cake. First off they sent out a trained professional to measure the window that needed replacing. It took them 4 weeks from the time they measured the window to get the window in. They then sent someone out to install, after cutting apart the entire sill they discovered they had measured wrong and would have to order a new window. The new window took another 2.5 more weeks to come in. This whole time there was no phone calls to apologize or offer to cut the rate quoted. 6.5 weeks for 1 window! I told them I wanted my $100 deposit back and I would be taking my business elsewhere. They refused to refund the money, so I told them they can come put in the window but I would not pay another dime, they have never come to install the window and no manager has ever called me to discuss the situation (I asked for a call twice). The lack of customer service is astounding, the pure bone headed lack of attention to detail in measuring the window in the first place is cause for concern but the follow up care (Or lack thereof) is pathetic. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Will never step foot in this hardware store again. I was looking for a plumbing piece when I overheard the woman working at the counter have a bigoted view point of MLK Jr.

For an old family owner store, I was very unhappy with the experience I had. A simple mower tune-up / repair and sharpening turned into a miserable experience. Depending on who you deal with at the store, the customer does not come first. Im all for supporting a local business but not this one.
