The owner is kind of weird he sits in his blue or black Chevy suv playing music and looking at people
Over the years, I have been to many different auto and body shops, but this is one of the most trusting places I have ever come across. Everyone is simply amazing and most importantly provide great customer service. What I love the most of this place is how honest Steve and his team are. There was no taking advantage of customers as most places would when they see a woman looking for service. Because of Steve and his team, my Toyota Rav4 survived a painless 13 years. The service was efficient and had a reasonable turnaround time. I have been going to Auto Cars for an easy ten years and have not gone elsewhere due to the loyalty towards the customers, which is very rare to find nowadays. If you ever want an honest and loyal mechanic, then this is definitely the place to go!!!
I would recommend Auto Car Imports to anyone. They were able to get me in quickly and accurately diagnose my cars problem. Steve was fantastic. He kept me informed through out the whole process and thoroughly discussed my options. There were no surprises at all and the fees were fair. Theyve got a customer for life.
Stay away from Steve and his business. He is a scammer. I paid him, but he never repaired my car and also he changed the business address and doesnt answer on my phone. Please find another shop and not waste your time with Steve and his family. All the best.
It was great working with Steve. Though my bill went over 1k, the work done is phenomenal. Every single dollar I spent is worth here. Steve gives an additional discount for his first time customers. Everything done clean and everything is explained clear.I definetly recommend this place.
The staff is professional and friendly. My car was taken care of quickly and for a good price. I highly recommend Auto Cars Imports. I feel like theyre honest and trustworthy about recommended repairs and pricing.
These guys are the best, Steve is awesome. Very knowledgeable about any car including imports. I have taken 2 BMWs here and they sort them out quickly, accurately and fairly. Recently had a bad oil leak and they sorted it out for me once again, runs like new. Get in here. Thanks Steve.
I highly recommend Steve and crew for repairing your Audi (and other makes). After a long search for repairing my car, Steve was very helpful over the phone without even seeing the car. He gave me an honest opinion and range or repair cost - again, without seeing the car. I brought it in and he repaired it and a couple other things he found that were related. When I came to pick the car up, he noticed another issue when pulling it up for me. He brought it right back in the garage and let me borrow his car while they made this additional repair. I was not charged for this, as Steve took responsibility for it. Honesty and fair pricing is difficult to find, especially with cars that are expensive to fix, and Im thrilled Ive landed at a place I can trust and use moving forward. I highly recommend Auto Imports and Steve.
Absolutely recommend Auto Cars Imports to anyone who needs great work done on their vehicles. Its my first time dealing with Steve and he was just so cool and understanding, as well as everyone in the shop. See you guys soon. Thanks again Steve!
These guys are good. Very honest, very up front, very diligent. Im happy and Ill be back next time I need service.
This is an amazing place. The mechanic Isaac is great with all my family cars. Honest and hard working. Hes always going above and beyond to fix any and all cars.😀😎😎
Horrible mechanic service....First the mechanic did not even call me to let me know how much the estimate cost of fixing my car would be...they had the nerve to fix it without letting you know. Not even two days pass by when my car start over heating and fluid leaks out of my car...turns out these mechanic forgot to put a part back on my car, who does that..unprofessional would not recommend you going to this place they are not worth your money and time.
Good communication with the mechanic and he took the time to explain the repairs to me. Simply the best!
Very unprofessional. Steve worked on my Bmw supposedly fixed it without telling me. Cost more then a grand to fix. Car radiator broke the next day. And still had the audacity to charge me extra for it. Then guarantee it was fixed and my radiator light is still on!!! Customer be aware!! This place is a scam. No wonder they changed locations from glenview. And patty should’ve known better then to just tell she’s just “the middle man” even though she’s the one swiping my card. Shame on you.
I just found my new BMW service center. I finally got fed up with dealer who quoted me $2300 to replace a $10 gasket. ACI did it for a lot less than 1/2 and did it quickly and professionally.
Owner has gone off the deep end. Wont answer calls. Owes me property and work. All the ancillary companies I have tried to get ahold of (body and paint) are all giving the same story. Avoid like the plague this used to be a great place and something has gone terribly wrong!
These guys diagnosed and fixed my BMW lights. Steve is a professional guy who is fair with his prices and trustworthy. Looks at your car for safety concerns too. Didnt feel pressured into anything will be going back to get my wheels aligned after I finish moving.
This guys no longer exists in 170 Shepard Ave, Wheeling, IL 60090. I tried to contact many times to Steve regarding the engine light on issue. The day( a month back) i purchased the car from Steve, the engine light is on when i came home . I called him and he mentioned that he will fix and its a minor problem. Its been a month i was following up with him. He stopped taking my calls and when i went to see the shop last week, It was empty and steve didnt respond at all. They reset the engine light and sold the car to me and now the shop is no more exist. Am going to take this legally .
Auto cars imports is by far the best import repair shop Steve and his guys work on my three bmw cars very informative and reasonable.
The mechanics here know what they are doing. Great staff very fair. Steve goes out of his way for customer service.
My car died on the side of the freeway 45 mins from home on Sunday afternoon. Felt like a transmission issue. Great. Unfamiliar area, don’t know who to trust and thinking I’m about to be out a couple grand. The tow truck driver said this was the place to go so I left my car there and hoped for the best. Sure enough he was right. You don’t get this many 5 star reviews by coincidence. Steve called me the minute they opened on Monday morning, and had it diagnosed and fixed before 3pm the same day, under $300, but covered by my warranty anyway. They dealt with the warranty company and got everything covered so I didn’t have to lift a finger. These guys are fantastic. Thank you Steve and everyone at Auto Cars Imports for taking the stress out of an otherwise very stressful situation!
Steves been working on my cars for over 10 years. If you care about your car and your wallet, do not bring your car anywhere else. Honest, thorough, better work and way better pricing than the dealers.
The best mechanics in the area. They are very personable and knowledgeable in their customer service.
Wow nice people good service great mechanics flex prices excellent

The man get it done and super fast been comeing to him now for 25 yrs never has he let me down
Back in August of 2010, I bought a convertible Smart Fortwo - its one of those tennsy tiny European cars. When I bought it, I also bought a four year extended warranty, figuring that the car would be expensive to repair, since the only dealers which serviced it are Mercedes dealers, which also makes the Smart.Over the years, I had a high frequency of engine light issues and the dealers basically told me it was this little thing (gas cap) or that little thing (computer error) and did nothing. They lied - they didnt want to fix the major issues with the car under the terms of the extended warranty - they wanted to gouge me. The worst offender was Loeber Motors which kept my car for two weeks toward the end of the warranty only to tell me it was the gas cap.Within two weeks of the warranty expiration, the car overheated and stalled, and the shop I towed it to told me it need a new engine - dealer cost - $12,000.Of course the car wasnt worth that much. Then I remembered that during the frustrating process of shuttling the car back to Loeber Motors to diagnose the engine light someone mentioned I might take the car to Auto Cars Imports in Northbrook. I should have listened and I will not make that mistake again!Auto Cars Imports and their manager Steven are a rarity - an honest shop that does good work for a reasonable price. They rebuilt half the engine in the Smart (valves, head gasket) for $1800 and found the issue that caused the engine light - a loose wire that caused engine misfiring.Steven also has a great bedside manner; it is a pleasure to deal with him.Auto Cars Imports has made me reconsider my thoughts that I might never own another German car, now that I know theres someone who can service it for a fair price.
Steve and his crew are pros
Very quick
