I was so excited to finally stop in the other day and I am so happy that I did. I needed a birthday gift and Libby was extremely helpful in showing us age appropriate gifts. The store has a great selection of science related items from science kits, collectible fossils and rocks, books, stuffed animals, and other toys and interesting things. This place is a great addition to the community and I hope its around for many years to come. I cannot wait to bring my son in and see his face light up with excitement at all the fun stuff you guys carry.

I love this place. You can buy great one-of-a-kind items @low discount prices. The staff there know about anything and everything. I could listen to him talk for hours.

This place is FANTASTIC! So many neat, unique gifts & treasures! Nice place to take kids and look around. Part store/part museum! Lots to reach and learn about dinosaurs, rocks, gemstones, fossils, and all things science! Also the best ice cream around!

The people who own this are so passionate about their store. They are so knowledgeable and ready to teach. They make it easy to learn too. Everything is at the level where the kids can understand. If your school has a chance to go there as for a field trip, do it. It is a hands on experience. Even if you go as an individual, it is a worthwhile trip. The books and toys that they sell are well worth the money. My son loves dinosaurs and science. He loves going here just to check it out. They also do a presentation every Saturday. Bonus, they have kirks ice cream. This is some of the best ice cream around. They have $1 ice cream.

This place is a hidden gem of Wheeling! Such a neat place for kids who are interested in science! Im so glad I stumbled upon it! Its one of a kind place with lots of interesting and unique things - dinosaurs, space, insects, rocks! Perfect place for anyone looking for information, an activity or gift related to science! Not to mention, the owners are very kind, knowledgeable and friendly. We decided to have a birthday party there in a few weeks for my soon to be 7 year old. Its going to be so much fun -- you get to use the Smart Center for the party and the owners are going to lead a fun activity on the topic we chose! Plus they have Kirks ice cream there as well! Looking forward to this so much and so is my little boy! And they have rocks made out of real dino poo, how cool! Go check this place out Wheeling friends!

Our family is just entranced by the SMART Center. We discovered it a year ago and my 5 year old son has been in love with Robert and Libby ever since. The passion and depth of knowledge you witness when walking into the Market is absolutely inspiring. Im so thankful Wheeling offers such a great place to hang out and enjoy.

I stopped in the other day to visit and picked up a wonderful gift for my science minded daughters. I picked up glass beakers that are equipped with a handle which makes them a glass to drink from. The chemical formula for caffeine is on one side and the other looks like a beaker. I also picked up a polished stone in the shape of a heart for my pocket. This reminds me every time I put my hand in my pocket of all of the people in my life that LOVE me and that I need to share that love.

Great place to visit. Mr. And Mrs. Strong are the best. Their Saturday lessons are educational for children of all ages.

We love this store! The couple that owns it are extremely friendly and helpful. They have a lot of hands on things for the kids and lots of neat things to look at. We always spend a couple hours wondering around and of course having ice cream!!

Since I discovered this store I make a trip at least once a month. The atmosphere is delightful. They hold free events for kids on the weekend and provide a wonderful source of informal science education. Support local businesses!

Best little science shop ever! Not only can you get great science toys, gifts, and books, you can get Kirke’s Ice Cream in a dollar cone. Libby and Robert, the owners, are science educators and they provide great summer camps experiences for kids at the store.
