It’s sad to see another casualty of the pandemic and the ease of shopping on the Internet as SEARS is now in the process of closing their huge store in White Plains. Sears is one of the anchors of the Galleria Mall which also appear to losing customers,many of whom are worried about spending too much time shopping inside. As I walked though Sears, I could see that there are still bargains worth buying including large appliances and grills.

It is very sad how Sears has declined. People coming in wanting vacuums and lawnmower while there and salesman saying we dont have anymore. Not sure why still open, they have very little left to sell. As a lifelong Sears customer, I remember the old days and it pains me to see the current situation. Sad!

Great place if youre looking for a bunch of different stuff. But I recommend maybe not shopping here since its very expensive and most of the staff are pretty rude.

Nobody is there to pickup the phones in MULTIPLE departments and it auto hangs up on you after 3 minutes. I know that you’re business is circling the drain and now I know why!

Make sure your item is in stock before you order from sears. The item I ordered was delayed multiple times. We werent notified of the delay until the morning of, if at all.

Have been to this years throughout most of my life and Westchester to get all of my appliances from washers to dryers and other heavier equipment ( sorry I do leave my TVs to Best Buy)They are particularly good with refrigerators and air conditioners of different types and sizes that would fit most accommodations.If you order online or in the store their system of package retrieval from the warehouse and delivery to your car is always done with good service

They ripped me off and sold and installed the wrong size furnace in my home. despite repeated pleading .begging, and demanding to have the correct size furnace reinstalled or a complete refund they Claimed it’s not their problem and said we defend the installation. What ever happened to making customer satisfaction?! They were notified that Different contractors referred to me by the carrier corporation recommended a smaller size furnace installed In my home to reduce noice but they still refuse to return my money or replace the furnace. So I sued them. Stay tuned for the outcome!!! My family and I are forced to listen to this noisy furnace day and night 24 hours per day. The jet plane noise this coming from this furnace Is absolutely toucher. The thought of loosing several thousand on the wrong furnace is like a nightmare come true Sears transform sr threatened me with lawsuits for writing bad reviews. These are bad people it’s obvious why they are going out of business!!!!

Best customer service. Also when you order something and something is broken right away they credit your account unlike Lowe’s .

Clean store that is well stocked. Staff very helpful and friendly. Free parking in the parking lot that surrounds the building. Sales prices are usually good, most of the other prices are okay. If They dont stock something they can order it. It has a pickup for ordering ahead of you want.

Very slow and unusually quiet

It has a nice lady out. But it is a bit barren. I know this location is closing like the rest of them. There wasnt many people to help me, but that understandable since they must be laying people off.

This is one of the Sears closing so its dirty and sad looking... but if you want an item at a bargain go there and take advantage of their closing sale.

Not what they once were but still going strong, theyre still the best at providing certain services, and their Craftsman line of products are unbeatable for quality, endurance and longevity. Ive had the best experience shopping for stoves, water heaters and refrigerators with them, they will match or best prices of most competitors and their warranties are some of the longest and most complete available in any industry.

Going out of business. I never shop here but figured I would see what they were giving away... Nothing.

Hard to find sears now a days. The store staff was very helpful, I had to exchange an older craftsman hammer, painless and fast. The other thing I need to do was get a battery for a riding mower. The staff helped me to pick out the right size and even gave me a coupon for a discount because I had the old battery with me. The parking lot is large and easy.

Where to begin... First - this location doesnt sell television(as a matter of fact - they dont have an electronicsdepartment). Second - it was freezing cold on the lower level. Third- because it was so cold, all of the associates were wearing coats and you couldnt tell just who was a customer and who was an employee. If they are allowed to wear their coats then they should have some sort of identification badge so you know who is who.

The automotive dept sales rep was awesome. Besides helping select the proper car battery, he even loaned me a tool which I desperately needed to remove the old one. He was pleasant, courteoua.

This isnt the best store in the world, but its an essential part of White Plains. There are not any other stores like it close by. I hope Sears in White Plains stays around for a long time.

I would have given them 0 stars but I could not post a review otherwise. How convenient! I attempted to buy a washer and dryer over 7 months ago from the sears in white plains. They could not deliver the machines without damage. They attempted 3 times and on the 2nd time actually tried to give me the same damaged machine dolled up They even put new protective plastic on it! I finally got sick of this and I went to the store and asked them to pick up the machines after one of their own employees suggested it and told me I should go to PC Richards instead!? They were picked up. 7 months later and several visits to Sears in White Plains and a multitude of phone calls to Citibank/Sears. They are still trying to bill me for this merchandise that was returned. Sears in White plains does not show both machines were returned. I have never seen this level of incompetency! So beware!! No issues at PC Richards by the way!

Looks like a store on its last dieing breath. Doesnt carry as many products as before and floor help is scarce. Rumor is that chain is in trouble and by the look of the store its true.

This place is depressing. Either get serious about the customer experience or declare bankruptcy and be done with it. No inventory, sales people with no knowledge, staff more interested in talking amongst themselves then helping a customer. PASS

I have had both a good and bad experience here. The good was that when we went in to return the woman was very fast and there was no hassle. The bad was when i was with my fiance we could not find the dressing room because the mens was with the toys for some reason and so my fiance went to ask someone on a different floor and the woman was extremely rude to him (i guess he was asking on the womans floor???) other then that it has been fine. The store is clean

Please do something about the gross mens bathrooms. Three toilet stalls, and only one has tissue? No soap dispensers? Unsanitary. Im a transplant recipient, so I might have been in trouble if I didnt have hand sanitizer with me. 😧

They have a great selection of items. I just dont think of them as a first choice to go to shop. Got to try to change that. They are a good value store.

Old. Worn. But always has the household goods I need. In today’s glitzy, flash world of iPhone reveal spectacles and self driving cars, Sears is a reminder that most of this country still gets grease under their nails from working with technologies other than phones and tablets.

This place is always my go to place. A place that was tried and true and who weathered the test of time. All sears needs is a little pick me up.

Good place to find the usual Sears fare, although the corporation running the company is running this once-proud American staple to the ground at the expense of the employees and its customers. Bankruptcy is close by.

The Sears in White Plains has been part of my life 50 years. In my opinion, they do a great job and trying to give customer service and selection. The appliance department is very good and sales people are helpful. Clothing and housewares are something you should explore. Sears is great for the whole family and they have a fine selection of quality clothing and items for the entire house. I also believe that America should go back to Sears and shop as much as they can to keep this retailer in business and fight those other retailers that are forcing them out of business. Sears is an American staple and we need to keep it. The prices and selection at Sears are good enough for us to enjoy all over the country. The White Plain stores is beautiful. You should give it a try and shop with your family, especially those who run on a budget. Sears is where American shops and we should continue to do that and support them to keep the company going and all those people employed and all the manufacturers making the products for Sears. America may consider shopping more often rather than buying things on lines. Shopping brings families and people together and allows you the opportunity to see before your eyes touch and feel. If corprate side or investors want to why sears will go into liquidation this store location is a shining example as to why. The layout is terrible and the selection of products makes little sense. The tool section is fantastic despite all of the other stores short comings.

AutoI went to buy tires for my car and after waiting there for a while. The man there ask me what I wanted. I want to buy tires. The only thing he said I no put I said why and he said I go home. I was waiting and waiting there to be serviced and hes ready to go home. No wonder theyre closing so many stores. I had planned to buy 4 tires for my car. How are you going to stay in Business with such poor customer service. And I was not the only one that left without being helped.

Great sales right now. Company was going out of business but is not anymore. Despite the rescue of the business they still have deeply discounted items.

I like Sears and you sometimes get point in cash. twice I didnt have to pay for a purchase, because I had $ 10.00 in cash. cool

Got my tires rotatated, balanced, and an alignment 150 before taxes (roughly). They did a decent job. Just the gease mark on my car door is kind of a pet peeve.

It is still a good place to shop for clothing, as well as a variety of appliances.

Too many years of mismanagement...Sears never seemed to be able create a comfortable shopping environment. Smh

Deceptive sales practices. i was made to wait 6 weeks for a suite of appliances, then the delivery dates were rescheduled 4 times on me, and only half the order was filled. I was told I had to wait another 4 weeks. The delivery men left my gate open and my dog got out, almost hit by a car.

Not as well equipped as other Sears but auto department is pretty good ...

Sadly I almost missed the entrance and thought it was closed. Its open!! Parking in the lot was sketchy.

I genuinely wish you could give a place zero stars. A horrible experience from beginning to end. Waited in line for 20 minutes with NO acknowledgement of the wait from the people behind the counter. The woman behind me spoke Spanish to the technician and somehow cut in front of me to get her car serviced. Then when I went to go pay for the services, the clerk, Abraham was rude and abrupt and snapped at the customer in front of me for putting the battery down on the counter. I will NEVER go back there ever again. No wonder Sears is tanking.

The items here seemed overpriced. We werent able to find what we wanted during this trip.

My experience was great. I was only disappointed to see that I had battery corrosion and I was not notified. I was there over 3 hours plenty of time to be made aware of the corrosion.

Purchased a Mattress and when it was delivered it was the wrong item, and part of the other item was missing. Now instead of fixing the mistake right away, I had to spend a day and half trying to get someone on the phone to help me. The customer service was horrible. I had to physically go back into the store and FIND someone to help me.In the long run I was finally helped and the problem was fixed, but only after I lost lots of time from work, lots of aggravation, and horrible service.I will never ever purchase anything from this store, because if you have a issue you are on your own.The General manager was very nice and he did help me with no questions asked, but it should have never got to this point.

I’ve been going to this store since way before it moved from the Walmart location and every year since they have gotten me more and more upset. I needed a suit for graduation and google told me they closed this location at 930, I get there at 840 and they tell me the hours are wrong it closes at 9. So I rush to look at suits and I don’t know what size shirt and coat I was, after asking everyone on the men’s department for help. no one wanted to help me measure my self or asist me. Mind you I’m willing to spend what ever money I need to get this suit. Long story short, no one helped me look for the suit in my size and I end up buying the wrong size and now I’m home staring at the mess I’m going to wear for graduation in the morning. I’m not giving you 1 star because I believe this won’t happen again and I hope it doesn’t.

I went here during my trip to Boston and it was a decent store.

I dont appreciate being followed around while shopping. I work retail so I know and only because I happen to have a bulky carrying bag.
