I review a lot of stores. In the past week I have been in 3 different Academy stores and this one is hands down the best. Clean, organized, friendly and merchandise displayed perfect. GREAT JOB. 6******.

This place is a very great store to shop at. The store is very clean and items are easy to fine. Employees are very kind, patient, and very knowledgeable. This is the best place to buy apparel,sports gear, and fire arms.

I just wanted to give a huge shout out to Academy sports on Maize Road, this store has some of the best customer service collectively that I have experienced in a very long time, I really appreciate all the help & kindness that you have given to me!

They have tennis shoes for me that are so comfortable and great price. We go for all kinds of things we enjoy going and shopping at Sports Academy

Shopping online is definitely the way to go recently mostly because its significantly less expensive. Academy changes that. Ive bought a bounce house, a trampoline, a tent, and a pool online in the last year. Recently found that if I just went to my local Academy Sports, I couldve got all of it for 1/2 to 1/3 of the cost. The place is extremely underrated if you ask me because I only very recently checked them out for the first time. Will recommend to everyone!

I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of doing a return to this store. Other lesser department stores in this town make returns like pulling teeth and over complicated. I give them a thumbs up for customer returns.

Fantastic. It has all sorts of things sports related and not once have i gone here and they do not have somthing i need from camping equipment to lots of sports stuff and shoes

The shoe department was very dirty and no one helped us. If it wasnt for my husband getting down the shoes we wouldnt of bought any. We told the management and they didnt seem to handle the situation .

Wish I could give them the negative stars they earned. Went in to purchase a larger bike for my son that has learned to ride without training wheels on 5-26-2021. After waiting around the store for over 30 minutes to see if they had the bike in the back that my son had picked they finally came back and said they have two in stock. I purchased the bike and they said the assembly person would be in on Friday or Saturday to put it together. I waited until 5-31-21 to call for an update because they had not called me as they had agreed to do when the bike was ready. After being on the phone with the manager for 15 minutes he finally asked for the item number, so I looked it up on the internet and gave it to him. He said that they had sold both the bikes they had in stock and I was out of luck. So I went to the store to be sure it was not on the rack just waiting for me to pick up. No luck, I received a refund for the bike and everything else I purchased on 5-26-21 and none of the employees even seemed to care they just wanted me to be gone. Well guess what, I will be gone forever. As an avid hunter and with both my kids playing sports, they have lost a really good customer forever. Do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else, as this place sucks.

Best place for your cheap smokers wood

Staff was helpful. Found a comparable tent for a third of the price from what I was looking at from the Coleman store and mattresses for a fourth of the price. I didnt feel like I was being ripped off and I appreciate that. Camping isnt really that cheap. Now were ready to go camping across from KS to the PacNW and we got all new gear for a third of our budget (our old gear was 30 years old, it was time.) I will shop here first for my gear from now on.

They were very helpful when I had to find shoes. Im hard to fit and they kept getting more shoes until I found a pair that worked.

Good selection of fishing stuff, although a little out of stock right now. I always go here when I need to stock up on fishing gear. Also bought a Shimano curado k here.

Would have been 5 stars but the employee wanted to argue on the posted price. The manager agreed the price posted was the price and gave it to me at the reduced price. $399.00 from a regular $499.00I have shopped there in the past and generally had good experiences.

Got some nice clearance item at the Academy, the sales will probably get better this weekend.

I really enjoy shopping here bc they have a variety of shoes, and clothing for all ages. I like going in the evening bc theres usually not many shoppers and its easier to get in and out.

I really like this store. They offer just about anything you can imagine for sports and the outdoors. They’ve also got a great selection of high quality shoes. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Nice place to go shopping for shoes or camping. I went there and hoping to find me a winter coat for my size. Im 3 or 4 xl size . They dont have them .

Very poor service I wait for almost one hr and they said somebody pick up my order that is no true.

Had great prices and an awesome staff I bet I had like ten different people ask me if I needed help and they were very knowledgeable about there products and was able to answer every one of my questions and even offered some real good advise to save me some work and lots of money I wish all retail stores were ran like this kodos to the management your doing something right I will for sure be back and will definitely spend all my active needs dollars with you guys

To be honest it was lame, I went there for the first time to be impressed and found it lacking in any way at least for a full grown male viewpoint. I own a pool was looking for great looking lounges, nothing. Thought Id check out their firearms section they claimed to have and aside from small self protection weapons like a James Bond Walthers PP, a Beretta and a few S&W, nothing. I find it hard even giving it one Star!

Clean, bright store. Lots to choose from. Ive had preconceived thoughts that Academy Sports was about sports equipment and high prices. Ive purchased the last couple of pairs of everyday shoes (including ladies boots) at a substantial savings.On the flip side, their reduced prices on outgoing seasonal items arent anything to rush in for.

Watch prices my ticket was rung up with wrong price till I pointed it out, then it was corrected. Over 10.00 difference. Just glad I cought it.

I truly feel like their prices are over-priced. They dont offer a military discount and when you asked about it they get offended by it. I swear that every time I go in there I think one out of 10 times I go in there I might find what Im looking for. I feel that the store could do better on pricing and that they could accommodate people better.
