This company tried to charge me thousands of dollars for a cpap machine. They said it was a rental, like Im going to get over sleep apnea. It finally went to collections because I refused to pay that much. Finally agreed to paying $350 to settle this. A month later I got another bill saying that I had many accounts with them and still owed $2,700. I refused to pay anymore because they were just trying to rip me off. I will never do business with them again. I could have just bought the machine from Amazon much cheaper.
I have had two defective machines for Jan, Feb, and March. One overheated and had to be unplugged to avoid a fire. The replacement starts with a green light but within two hours, it turns yellow with no output. I then received a bill for a deductible in February. I called 4 different numbers and asked to speak to a manager. I never was connected to a manager. I was told that to get rid of the machine, I would need to sign against medical advice form. I am compliant with my Drs orders, it’s Apria that has the bad machines. I’m waiting for a manager to call me but I am not paying a deductible for which I am not receiving oxygen.
This company was bad 10 years ago and its only worse!! They sent a bill to address with my name on it to a place my mother lived. I never live there with account number never had. They charge for supplies that I never get...they didnt follow procedures in issuing a new CPAP machine which caused me 4 months of pain. I had to call all parties involved to fix. And I refused to accept any supplies from them. Im counting down days until my CPAP is paid. Then I wont have further dealings with them. How this company functions is a miracle each day. Any encounter I have is nothing but painful and stressful thats putting it mildly. If your experience with is good count your blessings!! Im happy for you!!
My sleep doctors office never seems to be able to download my chip for the reports that I need. The techs at Apria have always been very helpful, and able to print out whatever I need. They have also been very helpful when I need to order supplies.
I do not know how they can stay in business! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! They constantly mix up orders and billing. We have called customer service numerous times, and every time we get someone who does not speak English, and does not understand the business. We can not get someone who understands why we keep getting bills, why orders get messed up.... it is pathetic! When the reps realize they are as confused as we are, theyll transfer us to someone else that is just as bad.For the past four months, we have been on a cycle of billing and refund checks for one item ordered in May. Most recently, we received a refund check. Two days later we received a bill for a totally different amount. Our insurance keeps getting charged for things we didnt order or receive. No one knows what is going on. This place needs to be investigated!!!!
These people are absolute CROOKS. They sold me a C-pap machine, then constantly send bills for rental charges for that same machine! Then when you try to call them, you cant even understand the billing clerk because their English is so poor. I asked to talk to a supervisor, and there was none available. Do not use this product or this company. If you do, youll be sorry.
As others have said, if I could give less stars I certainly would. This company is only out for the money and not to serve those who need it. I was discharged after coronary bypass surgery needing an oxygen concentrator at night. The hospital made the arrangements with Apria. Before I even left the hospital they called me and made me pay over $100 on my credit card before they would deliver the machine. We told them that I had not been discharged yet, and we would call them when we got home to have it delivered. The rep on the phone said that was perfect, and they would deliver within 2 hours of our call. Well, that didnt happen. What did happen was that they called us 4 times wanting to deliver before we even got home....then, when we did get home it took 4 phone calls to find anyone who knew what we were talking about, and then the delivery window was 4 hours......needless to say, I was without oxygen for several hours when I needed it.Now, I have orders for an overnight test to determine if I can get rid of the machine. After a couple of weeks of wrangling with this a representative called us and said we could pick up the machine at their office, or for $14 dollars they could mail it to us. I told them I was not going to pay them another dime so I would pick it up. When asked when I could pick it up, the rep told me they couldnt schedule it, and someone from the local office would let us know.....that was a week ago, still no test or contact from Apria. Im gonna try again today, but Im not hopeful.HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!
If I could give them less stars, I would! After a week of telephoning and faxing, they tell us that they do not service our area. This is interesting because we were referred by a health care professional that has used this company recently. The lack of professionalism and communication is mind boggling!
New parents i recommend you do NOT have anything to do with Apria even if the hospital recommends it. We were incorrectly billed, overcharged and straight up lied to even when they were called out on it. And why would a company like this need your social security number!? It has been several years but i always think back to this when our little son was born. A special time made very stressful by a crooked company who supplies a lifeline oxygen machine.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! They have outsourced their business and Lord help you if you have an emergency, as they will do nothing to help. They wont fix our concentrator, they wont pick up their old tanks, and they have incorrectly charged us for the sixth month now. ABSOLUTELY ABHORRENTI cannot believe they treat their customers this way when they know damn well it is OUR LIVES on the line. They are nothing short of criminal in their negligence. If I could report them to the police I would.
So they charged my account twice eventually after many calls I got a refund. I told them to take my card off of their records so no more charges can be taken out unauthorized. They said new supplies would be sent to me every 3 month never said anything about any charges then my account had been charged even though they said that they took my card off of file after I told them they are not allowed to make anymore charges to my card. This business should be reported and healthcare companies should not automatically send your stuff to them they need to be flagged in the medical community and with insurances as well.
Not real good. You have to make an appointment for a fitting and another appointment to come back to pick things up. I have two different masks from Apria and neither fit. They are both ResMed. I dont know for sure if the problem is mask design by ResMed or the mask mask fitter. Just switched to Sleeptopia (dumb name I know) and had two different masks that fit. Any time you call Apria you get automatically forwarded to corporate and cant do anything with the local office without going through a centralized 800 number and appointments. I also kept getting spam calls from Apria and finally blocked their number using a phone app. Will not use again.
If I could rate this company lower then one I would. Now get this! Do not I say have your dear loved one, who needs Oxygen, to live. With Apria Healthcare LLC. They will be sued as soon as I can bring a tort case against this company. Which will include you, if you dont read reviews first, before you dive in head first, with a company that has no human concern about life and air.
They have our services all messed up, considering they were supposed to bring oxygen within 24 hours and we are going on 72 with still no delivery. The delivery driver tried showing up at 10:45pm to do an oxygen concentrator check for a man who is 80 years old and in bed before 9pm.Save yourself the frustration, call another company!
Terrible service, charging for supplies i dont have, messed up the billing, horrible customer service, avoid this company.
I and my wife have both been clients, and weve both had situations of being told one thing and them doing another...avoid them!
One word... TERRIBLE!!
Do not use this company. The price and the duration from the rental to own changed from when I agreed to get the machine. I was told I hadn’t made a payment but when I told them I had a confirmation number and a screenshot as proof that I did then the payment showed up in the system. Every employee says something different and they talk In circles. My bill was due Nov 17 and on Nov 9th I received a call from Apria saying they would be sending my bill to collections if payment wasn’t made. It wasn’t even due yet! After this I decided to return the machine. I returned it yesterday and got a paper saying I had returned it. Earlier today I received a voicemail from Apria saying that I had equipment that needed to be returned and if I didn’t then there would be a penalty. I called Apria and told them I had the paper as proof that I returned it and asked what the voicemail was about. She said that she didn’t know what the call was about but I had returned everything. Keep all receipts and proof for everything if you do business with them.
Just another place that after my doctor submitted my information I have yet to hear from. Its been 2 or 3 weeks.
