Long lines...... self checkout sucks have to frequently have someone come scan their card....nobody want to bag their own groceries we work all day.....prices are way too high not enough staff

Stop and Shop has so gone down hill! Produce is outrageously overpriced. I used to faithfully shop there weekly but this year I have stopped going. Went back today and they continue to convince me to stay away. Sad.

Another great order picked up curbside! Its so easy now - I let them know when I leave the house and when I arrive, the friendly associate is out in about 2 minutes!

Havent shopped in a S&S for quite some time but needed a few things in the area and my regular store wasnt. I found their produce nice and fresh and so much to choose from! I even found the panini bread that I havent seen in years! They have a substantially large organic and gluten free section of groceries and a separate large freezer section for just organic, vegan and gluten free. Great prices too. Clean, courteous employees. And I love that robot!

Sam Cooper that works in sea food is the best employee Stop & Shop has.. Sam is very respectful & professional, Sam deserve a raise for all the work he does!!! If I could give him 10 stars I would !!!!

How this store is rated @ 4.4 stars (currently), I will never know?? At MOST it is a 2 star store. Why? They never have sale items, you ask an associate but they are clueless! Cleaning is definitely not a priority. I usually try to avoid an actual (rude) cashier and use the self checkout but on this day it was very busy with every light lit up for help and one girl trying hopelessly trying to help and figured out where to go next ... so, I had to go through cashier ... after reminding her I had a $1.00 off coupon for an item, she forgot to include it! Unfortunately, I didnt notice until I was checking my receipt on my way out (which often has errors) I went back to the customer service counter where 2 customers were already ahead of me with NO Stop and Shop associate :(So, do you think they were just having a bad day?NO!, SHOPPING HERE IS A DIFFERENT NIGHTMARE EVERY TIME!!

Clean store and easy to shop. However, just like many stores now, inventory is low. Many shelves are sparsely stocked and your choice of an item is limited.

The latin section is wonderful, its amazing how much its expanded, but the Spanish coffee should be in this section.

Their meat department has gone down hill. The prepack meat looks gray, and the butcher cut meat doesnt look much better. Sad state of affairs when WalMart meat looks 100% better.

I usually dont go here, but yesterday I had no choice and I was absolutely not disappointed. Such a clean environment. Shelves were stocked. And the kid who cashed me out, I believe Justice is what I saw on his tag had EXCELLENT customer service, was fast and efficient and didnt mind at all that I had a big haul with coupons. He made me want to continue to shop there. Great Job kid and good for Stop & Shop Willimantic for hiring great staff!

They have the best fried chicken in town I always order it before I go my mom name is Laurie and so is the worker in the store 🙌 I always order 2 or more I have a big family 💞

Manager Kate rude and unprofessional to talk to customers while doing coupons. She needs to go back to customer service classes or leadership classes.

Card processing down. cash or check only. go to peoples atm in store and take out cash. cost me 3.50 fee. ring out, 79 + dollars..told no bags, only reusable at .50 cents each. very poorly run, stocked store.

Hate that self check out system. Telling the entire world what Im buying.

Was slow in and out quickly today

We like stopping there because its a unionized shop and the employees go the extra mile all the time every time. We know some of the cashiers and some of the department people and its always nice to be greeted and they like being greeted.I was surprised to find a whole bunch of carbohydrate conscious foods, low carb, in a variety of places within the store. Great selection great choices.

Very big store, lovely nice staff, very friendly.

We have not been going to this store for 2 main reasons. 1 being we feel that the prices are too high and two the building is in a state of disrepair. As you can see in the attached photo the siding on the building is rotting off the wall. The siding along the whole length of the face is rotten. I cant help but associate the state of repair and the visible wood rot to the quality of the food I am purchasing. Do they treat the produce like they treat the building? I hope not but I cannot rid myself of the association. I get that its Willimantic and not a fancier town but they need to reinvest in the structure. Just like banks use imposing edifices to convey a sense of permanence, grocery stores need to look fresh, clean and well kept. This conveys that the food shares the same characteristics. Step it up stop n shop!

They need to rebrand their name as Shop & Stop! This is literally what you do a majority of the time while you shop at this location. EMPTY shelves, plain and simple! If you go in with a shopping list of 20 items, youre lucky to come out with 3. This is NO exaggeration. I will post pictures of their shelves tomorrow evening. Our time shopping this location is quickly coming to an end. Big Y = big bucks in my opinion but at least I can walk out with most if not all of the items from our list.

This is one of the best stop and shop grocery stores prices are excellent and the cuts of meat and seafood and deli really has something special to offer

Was there at 7 was quickly in and out with getting everything I wanted especially the t-bone steaks wanting some for some time. Cant wait to have them with baked potato and fresh beans and squash.

Called to ask about an item and was told by a rude lady that its Thanksgiving and she hung up on me. I dont really understand why I couldnt be put on hold while she asked someone else to help? Ive been working customer service for 8 years and this is unacceptable. Its really sad because people used to be nicer here but not anymore, I guess.

Expensive. Self checkout doesnt let you put your bags in bagging area.

As usual they need to have more than 2 registers open. That said I cant praise the staff enough for how helpful they are.

Walmart has cheaper prices for the most part. But its not a bad place to get groceries

1st I love Stop and Shop and will akways support you and your union workers but when I got to the store today, it was 1 way in and same way out to better keep track of who was in the store - all for keeping everyone safe but the entrance chosen was the one on the opposite end from the pharmacy and the self check out. It seemed the other entrance would have been a better choice - just a suggestion - I will walk if I have to - have a nice day :)

I shop here all the time and its very clean. I accidentally lost my wallet at this store and an employee found it so the store called me and I got it back.

My Husband and I shop at The Wilimantic Stop and Shop every week. We always have 3 different orders. One for our household and we shop for two other Family members . Two exceptional Employees ( whom we consider friends now) come to mind that just makes this so much easier and enjoyable to do week to week. They totally go above and beyond to help us. Kathy and B have to be two of the most positive people I know. They can be crazy busy but still take time to smile, genuinely ask how you are and help you in any way they can! We have thought The World of them before this unfortunate virus started, and now being in a time of uncertainty for everyone, they still show up with that same warm smile and continue to brighten Peoples day. I just hope they know how special they are and I want to Thank them for being so strong. They have Family too and still continue to take care of all of ours everyday!! 🙏💖

This is probably the most shabby Stop and Shop I have ever shopped at. It was in disrepair, the shelves were pretty empty, and there was absolutely not a soul around to help me find what I was looking for. I havent shopped here before and stopped out of convenience.

Seen some excellent buys. Disappointed that they had very limited selection of coffee creamer.

I dont understand why there is still only one entrance, exit. Forcing people to use one pushes people together when, during Covid, were supposed to be separated

Not as nice a store as Norwich.

Produce are fresh. Location is convenient. I love the scan it feature which makes shopping quick. Store is always clean and items are not difficult to find. Shopper card has a great feature where you can add your coupons via their website and the coupons are applied at check out. I love this feature. This is my primary grocery store.

Just love the people that work here they are always friendly to me and always try there best to go above and beyond.

They have good sales.

This location is running smoother than several of the others I have had to shop at during the Covid-19 pandemic

Check EVERY single item you buy in the produce for freshness--many will have expired dates, and when you tell the workers this they dont seem to care. Even though this is a unionized supermarket (which I support) the workers seem to HATE working there and are often extraordinarily rude to customers. Moreover, store management appears extremely confused about even the most basic facets of the storys operation. As of today I am will be back to shopping at Big Y, where they actually seem to want my money and can run an efficient business, and where I am not continually finding my produce getting mildewy as soon as I get it home.

I usually cant stand large grocery stores, but the Willimantic STOP and SHOP offers large store products with home town people. Staff is always helpful, produce and meats are fresh and plentiful. Anytime you need help, every person is so willing to help. The cashiers are courteous and prompt..very friendly, clean, and well stocked grocery store.

The Deli really needs competent employees. Asked for an item clerk took 3 minutes to find it. When he returned with it he sat it on the counter and then called out number for next customer without even slicing my order. Line was long and this employee was more interested in chatting with another deli employee.

I ran out quickly to get some Nyquil. Wasnt feeling well and just wanted to medicate and go to bed. They required proof of birth which I did not have, forgot my license at home. I was furious and asked to talk to the Manager. She said, Its our protocol because one of the ingredients is alcohol. I asked, Do you card when people purchase real vanilla extract? She replied no. What an idiot. There is alcohol in that product as well. I buy wine without an ID, I order a drink without an ID but I need proof of birthday for Nyquil?????? BTW I am 60 years old.

I am a loyal Stop & Shop customer and I have an issue with your new coupons in your flyer. Not fair to exclude those who dont have digital access. If your already printing the flyer then print the coupons as well. Looks like prices have risen because you tried to screw your employees not you screw the customer. Greedy management is all I see.

Not a good place with grocery pickup, if you can find a spot to park since people park in the pickup locations and leave their cars. I wish there was a way to enforce the reserved spots.Constantly missing items from grocery pickup, then having to argue with management since they never believe your claims.

Very friendly and knowledgeable...Johnny, the owner is mainly the only barber, but there is never a wait and they take walk ins, which is a BIG plus because the other 2 barbershops on Main street dont and their customer service and skills dont even come CLOSE to matching New Look Barbershop. Come here, men (and women with short cuts too)! You will not be disappointed!PS- I am a female with long hair but a shaved undercut...this man is the bomb with cuts!

Nice grocery store. There is wide variety of produce, the prices are fair, the store is clean, and the staff is friendly. That Marty robot thing monitoring the aisles is creepy though.
