Eco friendly shopping. I almost always try to reuse, fix, and give new life to used things. The staff is super and really make going there worth while. We had found a kiddy golf putting crocodile with balls. But didnt see any putters. My son really wanted it ( he loves crocodiles). I happened to mention not seeing any clubs to go with it and she said hold on a second. I figured she had to go check the price because it wasnt marked. She came back with two blue putters and threw them in for a quarter. Totally made our day. We have had so much fun with that little golf set.

I have had excellent experience finding useful things at Resource VT for years. This location, the old Goodwill, is a great fit and works well for them. Household goods and furniture, with good turnover, can be found for extremely reasonable prices. But the most helpful department for us has been the electronics department, where we have been able to get computers, televisions, sound systems, and more, and have had several opportunities to have computers evaluated and repaired quite inexpensively. Thanks, ReSOURCE VT!BUT: ReSOURCE only delivers appliances (quite reasonably, I think $40). At their front desk (see photo), they post the phone numbers of two delivery services who can deliver anything else you might buy there. I called both. One never called me back. The other, JAMIE STROTMEYER of ME AND MY TRUCK called back the next day and said he could deliver in a week, but in addition to paying him, I would have to help. I agreed, since I needed the couch delivered, but said I thought it odd that he wanted me to help do what he was charging me a pretty good amount to do. Today, he called to confirm but then first tried to make me feel that I was unreasonable for wanting him to just deliver the couch without my help (though I said I would be glad to pay more (which would actually be more $$ than the couch) if he would find someone to help him), and then said he didnt think it would work out and flaked out. If you buy something that needs to be delivered, make other arrangements.

Fantastic store and employees. Recently purchased a used computer as-is and discovered it was not the advertised year and model. Took it back to the helpful associate in the computer section who was apologetic and ultimately made it right. Keep your money local and help out folks who need job training at the same time. Definitely the best second hand store in the area.

I wasnt asking for money back but maybe store credit nope nothing. Also there prices are getting ridiculous on thing a used couch for 250.00.

It looks as though a hurricane swept through the store. They really need someone to do merchandising. Re-source lost a fantastic employee in Jamie, she was spectacular at putting things together well. The store looked so great when she was bossNow the place appears to be in shambles. On the upside, I ran into one of my favorite past customers yesterday. I miss all my customers.Theres a huge selection of clothing, but be willing to dig around more than usual, as no rhyme or reason exists in that section. The cashier who checked me out was a bit rude, but perhaps she was just having an Off day..The new book area seems to be all thats improved.Happy treasure hunting!

Ive been to ReSource in Burlington multiple times, and had great experiences. It may have been an off day for the Williston crew, but my husband and I went in looking for a bed frame. I would have bought one of these beds if someone wanted to help me. :(

It’s greedy and disgusting that Resource is staying open during this crisis, especially since we now know that the virus can live for several days on some material. Organizations that continue to stay open and contribute to the spread show that they care very little about this community. Their response that the virus is not widespread is false and misleading and not what health officials are saying. Shame on you Resource for not supporting the community that has supported you for decades!

I love ReSOURCE. This is a great place to go for a used computer or laptop or a hard-to-find electronics accessory like a power adapter, cable or a mouse or keyboard. They carry a lot of used furniture, although sometimes prices on that are fairly high considering that it is all donated. Not a fancy store by any means, but its well organized and they use all of their floor space. Oh, and one of the few places in town that sells used mattresses for great prices, which they steam treat before selling.

Great store with an ever-changing inventory, funky finds, and killer prices. You can get everything from dishes to dishwashers, toys to toilets. Furniture is great, tons of fun vintage housewares. Found tons of fiesta ware recently for about $1/ piece, WAYYY below retail. Just a heads up, they dont sell clothing, but goodie is just down the street for that. Great source of art supplies, too!

Ol
Review №49

This place used to be a great place to buy cheap used furniture and housewares when it was in Burlington. Ever since they moved to Williston they jacked up the prices ($250 for a rickety 3 drawer dresser?!?) which makes it completely inaccessible to anyone with low income. This place was originally built to serve the community, not the affluent. That seems to no longer be the case, very disappointing.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Yesterday went in to purchase a computer monitor, Asked clerk st the desk if the unit was returnable in the event it did not work. I was assured it was as long as brought back within 3 days. Brought the unit back due to incompatibility with my computer (no HDMI connector). I was first offered an exchange and would have taken one except that all the other monitors offered also did not have HDMI connector. I asked for a refund and was offered a merchandise credit. I refused because a credit was of absolutely no use to me. I was. then told that store policy is NO REFUNDS, and that it is stated in the fine print (actually tiny) on the receipt. Exactly the opposite of the story on purchase. I left the store without the credit ($22) the receipt, or the monitor. I WILL NEVER RETURN, but be assured I will continue to express my displeasure with the stores business practice frequently!!!!

A community-centric store aiming to help people build job skills and improve their lives by preparing and selling everything from furniture to books to computers and more. Im staring at my exceptional-quality near-perfect-condition four-drawer maple hardwood dresser I just got for $75 from there, and its really quite a nice piece. Yesterday I also got a lovely vintage ball-bearing whistle tea kettle for $3, and its better than our electric one. My girlfriend was moving recently, so we needed to downsize her belongings a bit. We packed up a nice wooden shelf with two removable levels inside, and headed to Resource to donate it. I might add that this shelf was purchased at this store in this past. The girl who greeted us seemed snippy right off the bat, for no discernible reason other than, perhaps, our presence, and curtly asked us to pull out the shelf unit so it could be inspected. The two shelves that rest on the inside of the pegs were removed for transportation, and despite it being obvious how it would look with the shelves in it, she insisted we put it together anyways, which we did. The two shelves each rested on 4 small, metal removable pegs, and while putting it together, we noticed one of them was missing. I told the girl about this, and said a simple screw could be used in its place. With a rather annoyed tone, she said We dont repair furniture... Seriously? 30 seconds and a screw driver could have fixed this situation, but I guess thats too much work for these folks. While she was quibbling with my girlfriend, trying to convince her to drive home to look for the peg, I proposed that I would put a screw in to remedy the issue myself. She said, Well, I guess we can just get rid of one of the shelves... What?? For a store called Resource they dont seem particularly resourceful to me... Now, my patience running thin, I said that rather than see the shelving unit maimed and resold, I would rather put it on the side of the road with a Free sign on it. She then said, Excuse me, sir, I am having a conversation here? This is the point I realized she did not want to talk to me, as my girlfriend seemed apologetic enough to suggest we might return with the missing peg, should it be found... She then said: Sir, I just said I would take it!, rolled her eyes, and carried the shelf off. If she thinks we are returning with the peg, she is mistaken. I would rather smash the shelf into 1000 pieces than give her the satisfaction. You would think that if you are donating a quality ware to a business that ostensibly prides itself on fixing such things up, they might treat you without contempt. Such expectations are misplaced here. Spend your dollars on your second-hand goods elsewhere - these folks dont deserve them.
