My wife and I were looking to buy a used vehicle and really wanted to buy from a local dealer. I spent quit a bit of time looking at vehicles at many different dealerships in Wilmington. Its sad to say that a few of the dealerships were not very customer oriented. I spent 20 minutes on two different dealership lots and not one sales person approached me. Now, i dont like aggressive sales people but you should always acknowledge a potential customer and at least let them tell you if theyre buying or just looking.I said the above because this was not the case at Parkway. My wife was in touch online with a sales person and i stopped by one day to look at a few vehicles and was there for only a few minutes when I was approached by Jason Erdely.Jason was friendly and listened to what I was looking to do. Jason let me look at 3 vehicles and was very friendly and we talked while I looked at the vehicles.My wife and i found a car that we liked and my wife came by one day when Jason was off and met a seasoned car sales man by the name of Leroy. Leroy provided my wife with lots of information to make her comfortable in the vehicles we were looking at helping her go through the pros and cons of each, if any. Leroy spent all this time with my wife even though he knew Jason was who we were initially talking too...Jason provided a print out of the vehicles we were interested in and also kept in contact with me over the week that i was thinking about the car there that I liked while I was still seeing what else was available. The messages were friendly reminders that the vehicle we liked was still there and Jason even said he would come in on his day off if it was more convenient for us.My wife and decided on purchasing our new to us car, a 2012 Toyota Sequoia based on the vehicle but also because of the sales staff and their professional but friendly nature.Would recommend Parkway if you are looking for a vehicle whether its new or used....
We just purchased a new Subaru and had one of the best car buying experiences. David Shaffer was so helpful, he even put the new bicycle rack on the back! Despite this being a challenging car buyer market, David made it easy. He tracked down the car for us and managed the process with excellent customer support. We love our new Subaru and highly recommend both Parkway Subaru and David Shaffer.
First Selena was amazing counseling me on what channels to go through on getting my vehicle repaired and the Service Manager did what he could, but their hands are tied to Subaru Corporate.I called Subaru Care team last week after my Son who is in the military 2011 Subaru with 112,000 miles CVT Transmission failed the car is in my name due to it being purchased when he was seventeen 2 years ago also because he has been gone the last year and not driving it due to training in California. The cost for a Transmission to be repaired is close to 8,000 dollars. The part itself costs 6,640 dollars. I called Subaru because my son is only home for 2 months for additional training before he deploys, I asked Subaru being so close to the extended warranty could they assist me in any way with replacing the transmission outside of this issue the car is in excellent shape. Subaru America said they could not help me and could only offer me a $1,500 towards a brand-new vehicle Subaru locally said they would not even take the Outback as a trade in and told me to take it to pick in pull which considering this vehicle is in excellent condition outside of CVT Transmission, l I was dumfounded. With my son deploying he won’t be home for a few years, so a brand-new vehicle is not necessary which I told them. $1500 towards the repair and a Subaru staying on the road instead of being totaled due to Subarus known CVT issue I think would be more beneficial to me and their brand. Incredibly disappointed with Subaru America Care Team for One charging such an astronomical dollar amount to fix a Subaru transmission, two not caring about a rare circumstance like a military individual deploying in two months and not needing a new car but assistance with the repair of their current car so they can drive it until they leave on deployment.09/01/2021 I called you last week and I was at the dealership yesterday paying your service team for the repair on the CVT? So your response to me in this review seems very generic. Basically you wanted me to total my car and I could not trade it in through you but see what pick and pull would give me. Your $1500 towards a new car does not benefit me when my son is leaving on deployment and does not need a new car.
Amazing customer service I felt like I was taken care of like family, hands down one of the best dealership Ive dealt with in the automotive industry. The service department will go above and beyond to meet your needs even if they cant they will still give you options and solutions I dont see myself going anywhere else ever again. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and doesnt have to go and look up what theyre telling you. It is very clear that ALL of their staff have received formal training and regularly.

Went in looking to downsize from my Ram 1500 and got into a 2019 Certified Pre-Owned Volvo XC40. Unlike every other dealership I went to, Matt at Volvo was welcoming and not a typical overbearing salesman. He answered my questions, provided insight, but best of all, spoke to me like a normal guy. (I.E. - Was not fake!) Volvos service, trade-in and prices got me into a Volvo without looking back!
After spotting a Subaru on auto trader I reached out and spoke with Jacob whom was amazing. He was very responsive and we spoke for a few days working a deal and came to great terms.We showed up Saturday and met Craig who took us for a test drive and offered us a great interest rate beating our banks. Craig was very helpful and transparent through the process.We then set down with Ryan whom went through warranty and paperwork he was very easy to work with. Ryan and Craig made sure we understood everything we were looking at and signing.Over all this dealership was very good to work with. Not your average, aggressive, intimidating dealer ship. This felt more like we were hanging our with friends. A great experience, one worth making the four hour drive from Charleston again to buy a car.Thank you all so much!

Talk about painless. I wanted to give a personal thanks to Nathan Kolk for negotiating on a car with me completely through text message because I was very busy working. In addition, he handled all the paperwork ahead of time so when I drove 2 hours to visit my family/pick up the car, everything was done and ready to go. He was very helpful in explaining the car features in a quick and easy way so I understood how everything functioned, while not sitting there forever.Id also like to personally thank David Jackson for making signing the paperwork easy and painless. Ive had awful experiences buying cars (especially with trying to sell extended warranties) many times and he made the process so easy that I was genuinely shocked. The last time Id done this, the dealership held us for hours. I was done signing in little to no time at all here and was out within roughly an hour.The staff were also wearing masks and for the ones that briefly took it off (in their individual office/back corner/whatever) when they saw me with a mask, they put their masks on out of respect for the customer. Overall, this was a great experience and I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in a Subaru. Great place with great people.

I have only owned Subarus since I started driving (SO long ago 😂) so I trust them! Parkway Subaru can get a little frustrating at times, but they DO know whats best for your Subaru. They are trained to know from Foresters to Outbacks to Crosstreks to a 1984 the name rubbed off. Even if you dont understand, Scot and his team WILL take time to explain why they are doing what theyre doing.

Do not take your car here to be serviced. I have a 2017 Subaru Forester that was in need of an oil change, and for them to figure out why my A/C Compressor was making noise when turning on the Air Conditioning. Their diagnosis was that my A/C Compressor and Condenser needed to be replaced. After doing some research on my own, I found that the clutch on the A/C compressor was out of spec. Simply removing the clutch, using a special tool, and removing a shim, put the clutch back into spec and resolved my issue. I also had to purchase two cans of refrigerant because it was removed when Parkway Subaru performed their diagnosis and they were unable to put it back in. Their Service Manager refused to call me on this issue after I visited their facility on three different occasions to try and get refunded for the diagnosis. So all in all, I spent well over $200 for them to falsely diagnose, and steal my refrigerant. After removing the shim and filling the A/C with refrigerant, my Air Conditioning is working perfect, when they wanted me to spend over $1600.00 in parts. From now on, I wouldnt even trust these clowns to wash my vehicle let alone service it. They are a disgrace to Subaru!!!
Getting my 2019 Tucson has been fantastic, love these features....my seat has six different seating height which helps with my back issues, heated seats, great ride, all new technology and great gas mileage. Service department was excellent also didnt take but an hour...... fantastic!

Destroyed customers engine with grinding pad. They will take your money and leave you with a trashed engine and a $9000 repair bill. Their mechanics are terrible!!!!!!Yes 2014 is the last time you did work on my 2005 Outback XT. I was letting my sister a UNCW student use the car so that she could safely commute to school. I paid you to fix the head gaskets and I trusted your business to professionally do the job. After my sister picked up the car it continued to give problems, leaked oil, and was unsafe to drive! I live in Florida and my sister doesn’t know much about cars, when I finally did pick up the car I took it to Flow and they agreed that the head gaskets were leaking. Flow replaced a head gasket but because of the damage done to the engine with a grinding pad it also immediately leaked oil. Performance Subaru rebuild the engine and told me everything your mechanic did wrong! The repair bill was $9000 and my car is still sitting there 3 years later.
I dont normally write reviews, but my experience at Parkway Subaru and with my salesman Craig Nelson was so superb, that I want to shout praises. I was dreading shopping for a new car as Ive had terrible experiences in the past with car dealerships and some of the tactics they use. But I really wanted a new Crosstrek. I test drove a used one with Craig and then he called when a new 2020 came in for me to test drive. I decided to order a new one. The ordering process was so easy - all done online. Craig was very available through-out to answer questions and in the end, gave me a great deal. We ordered my new car right before the Covid-19 shutdown and with all the uncertainty, I wondered how smoothly it would go. Not a worry! My car came in ahead of schedule. A masked and gloved Craig personally delivered the car to me and continued to be available for any questions I had. Difficult times can reveal character and in these difficult times, Craig Nelson and Parkway Subarus shone. Ill definitely do business with them again!

Words cant even express the gratitude I have for Katy and her team in the service department, but Ill surely try! She stuck by my vehicles side and went above and beyond to make sure I knew exactly what was going on. She made sure to take her time that the vehicle surely needed. My 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe (not purchased here) had a one off type situation and Katy and her team got to the bottom of it. They took the time to think outside of the box! When breaking the news to me, Katy used some of the best customer service Ive ever received. The compassion is just overflowing from Katy. I felt like I was treated like family (the ones you like)! Im so happy I decided to make my appointment here! Id do it again in an instant! Remarkable service! Katy and her team deserve 10 stars!

My experience at Parkway Hyundai was a refreshing change from other dealerships in the area that Ive done business with. At no point in time did I feel pressured by my salesperson, and the finance department didnt try to sell me on worthless warranties or protection products. The amount of time spent in the negotiation process and finalizing the sale took a fraction of the time I was accustomed to. My salesperson Kiya was personable, knowledgeable, and respectful. I would not hesitate to recommend both her and Parkway to anyone looking for a new Hyundai.

Their service department is pretty horrible.... I went in for service on a (airbag) factory recall and asked about a rattle I heard. They said the rattle was a minor repair taking about 1/2 a Labor Hour to fix. I made arrangements to bring the car back in; per their request I dropped the car early (8:00-8:30am) in the morning so they could work it in that day. THEY KEPT MY CAR ALL DAY. At 5:00pm the service writer called me and I was expecting to be told that my car was ready to be picked up. The service writer then went on to list a number of up-coming items from the maintenance schedule and asked if I would be interested in doing any of those items now. I asking if any were required now or needed now and was told no. I then asked if my car was ready for pick-up (at 5:00pm!!) and if the work I had requested had been done? I was told the work had not been done yet and he asked if I still wanted it done? THEY HAD MY CAR ALL DAY AND HAD NOT DONE THE 30 minute task!! At that point I said I did not want the work rushed at the end of the day and I just wanted to pick my car up. And to top things off this dealership is consistently 50% more expensive for scheduled Subaru Service than dealerships Ive used in other parts of the country (like $600+ for a timing belt replacement compared to $399 elsewhere in a major metropolitan market with competition). Its a shame that I have to consider going out of town for Subaru Service I can trust.

The first salesman is now a manager and greeted me remembering I had purchased a previous vehicle from him and Tanner was a pleasure to deal with for this vehicle. Tacoma was great. I knew I wanted to stay with a Hyundai when my car died the day before. Staff is very nice and helpful. They stay over an hour after closing to take care of me.
I was to meet someone who was not there. I mentioned a test drive which did not happen. I think I was low-balled on the appraisal done by Parkway. Furthermore, there does not appear to be any benefit to being a loyal customer (2005 - todate) based on online pricing of Subaru. On Subarus site, the cost of a Outback Touring XT was lower than the cost of a Limited XT provided by Parkway.
Absolutely fantastic experience! Thought I had done a pretty god job researching Outbacks. Jeremy showed me otherwise! He was most impressive with his product knowledge and professionalism. I was looking for a newer vehicle, someone recommended this place. So I went and looked at a couple of cars. Used car quality seems pretty good, however they wouldnt budge on the price they came down $250. I was still in the market for a vehicle about 3 to 4 months later. They still had the same vehicle at a lower price than what they actually quoted me because it had been sitting on the lot for so long. Called back a month after that offered the same price, still wouldnt budge. Looked at their website the following week they had dropped the price to $500 more than I had offered them 6 months before. Went to Raleigh bought the same car that had more features and the same amount of miles for less than I offered the car for. Saved $2000 in Raleigh highly recommend going around that area instead of here or surrounding cities. Its a shame too, I work at an area where I come in contact with a lot of people that actually have money. Seems as though if your not broke or have horrible credit they dont want to help.
Jeremy Race is a great sales person. He is informative, giving you just enough details. He was able to answer all my questions. The Subaru Forester is a car that speaks for itself, but everyone at Parkway Subaru of Wilmington made the experience easy. Aaron Bishop, the Finance Manger, was thorough, he is very clear about every detail which is important when you are dealing with your money. There are no hidden figures. He told me exactly what my trade in was worth, exactly what the finance percent would be, and what the payment would be. He doesnt manipulate numbers to make you think you are getting a better deal than you are getting. After discussing everything with him, you know exactly where every penny is going or coming. Everything was so thorough. I have had my car for just under a week and I can honestly say it is the best driving car I have ever owned.
Rob, in the Service Dept., helped me. He was fast and efficient and courteous in every aspect. Ill most certainly use their Services to keep my Subaru running well, for as long as its viable.

My wife and I went to look for a new car and we were greeted by Bob Hart. He was very helpful and patient and we took several cars for a test drive. My wife fell in love with the Hyundai Kona turbo and she wanted it in orange. This is apparently very hard to come by and there was only one available in Virginia. The dealership in Virginia didnt want to give it up but Bob and his manager went to work and they were able to deliver us the car within a couple of days! We went to pick up the car and everyone was so helpful making the process quick and easy. During the process the owner stopped by to thank us and chat for awhile, she is very nice! The whole team at Hyundai were fantastic and my wife couldnt be happier, thank you Bob and everyone at Hyundai!

Hands down the worst customer service I have ever received. Brought them my Subaru just to check it out, no mention of a fee for this service, and upon picking up the car (no work was done on the vehicle) they declared that this had been a $125 service. For no maintenance, and no mention of the cost upfront! Rude to deal with every time. The kicker was that they assured me this $125 was reasonable because it included a free car wash. Will not ever purchase a Subaru ever again.

Our first service experience will be our last. Went in for a $89 offer that was told would be $112. $172 later. Fool me once shame on you.I requested to be told of the price before they did the work due to spending an unexspected $1600 on plane tickets to attend a funeral this weekend. I was showed a small filter that was a little dusty. This is what you are breathing would you like us to replace it? Was not told there was a fee for the filter, thought it was a courtesy until I saw the bill. Just to be clear about the fool me statement.
My recent purchasing experience was very good. The salesman, Layton Barefoot, was very patient and didnt make me feel rushed. While considering the correct car over the next two weeks, I was not hounded or pressured in any way. I would purchase again from Parkway.
Even though when we first stopped in the dealership, we were just looking the salesman, Craig Nelson, took us on one of the best test drives weve ever been on - including the highway! We didnt buy that day but ended up ordering a 2016 Outback from the dealership later in the month. We were not pressured in any way on the initial visit. Not only was the price the best deal around, the time spent by our salesman at delivery to instruct us on all the bells and whistles was above and beyond what we could have hoped for. We love the car!

I was extremely happy with my car buying experience at Parkway. My father was in the hospital and my sales rep Michael Campo along with the Finance Department made the experience as effortless as possible. They helped me to stay at the hospital to be with my father as much as possible so by the time I stepped into Parkway I was there to sign papers. I found the environment very inviting and never once that pushy sales experience i have encountered before. Never received my $50 gift card after my test drive. Emailed and called in multiple times. My last email from Jacob has again not been answered since he replied that the internet director is responsible. I guess I will call Hyundai Corporate next week and the BBB. I shouldnt have to go through this and while its not worth the aggravation to me, not its the principle of the matter.
I recently purchased my first Hyundai, a 2016 Santa Fe limited. Beautiful car. I have purchased many new cars in my lifetime and never look forward to the sales process. However, in this case, working with Parkway Hyundai and specifically with salesman David Jackson was a real pleasure. No pressure, just honest and professional service. Too new yet to rate service on the vehicle but from what I have already seen and heard I believe the quality for customer service is apparent in the service department also.
I had a very positive experience at Parkway Hyundai this past weekend. My salesman was Ken Berton and he couldnt have been more gracious and professional. He had a strong knowledge of the Genesis product line and was very helpful in us making the decision to purchase a new Genesis.I encourage others to consider this car and dealership and I recommend Ken to other prospective car buyers.
My salesman David Jackson was friendly, honest, made me feel very comfortable. He heard me telling my husband when we leave the dealership I would like to get a coke to help me with my headache he went to the soda machine and got one for me...that was very sweet. Also the Sales Manager Glenn McIntyre was very welcoming from the moment we walked on the lot. Over all had a wonderful experience...love my car.
We are fairly new at buying a car but this place is outstanding. Jeremy was such a joy to work with. He told our information other dealerships didnt tell us about and he didnt try and give us a low price on our vehicle we were going to trade in. He helped us get exactly what we wanted and we couldnt be more happy with the service.
Great car buying experience! My wife and I were looking for a new vehicle, so we went in and talked to Brady, we had given him some details of the Sonata we were looking for and he found one for us to test drive. They were able to give us what we wanted for our trade in, with a little money down we were able to get the payments where we wanted. I was completely amazed at the car buying experience at Parkway! The service, friendliness, and personal interest was above and beyond the norm. Not only did Parkway find the vehicle I wanted, but in record time and at a great price. Customer Service did an excellent job listening to my needs and must have requests. Bought my new Tucson at Parkway. My salesperson, Diana Kenny, made it a great experience. My Tucson has all the bells and whistles on it and Diana took extra time to make sure I had a good working knowledge how to use all the features before I left with the car. Diana gave me a great price which I didnt have to haggle for, which was a real plus for me. I would recommend Parkway and Diana to anyone and everyone!!!

I have been very pleased with the service here so far, though admittedly I havent needed them much as Ive only had my car just under a year. The times Ive been in- once for an oil change, tire rotation and a minor recall fix, and once for a wiper fluid refill, they were friendly, fast and efficient. The communication was great- they told me what was needed, how much it would cost, and explained the recall. I got a call later the same day saying the work was done. When I picked it up, the price was just what they said it would be. So far the customer service from the service department has been better than I got from the sales department, but I love my Hyundai!

We enjoyed a great experience with an experienced salesperson, David Jones. We enjoyed working with him, with Jimmy Todd as well as the finance people, Skip and Tammy. They met our needs and were helpful beyond measure. This was our 2nd opportunity to work with Parkway of Wilmington and both times we have been extremely satisfied. We had our Tucson serviced each time at Parkway and were extremely satisfied with the Service Department also. Just recently purchased a 2017 Outback. We walked in with a just looking attitude, and two hours later walked out with the keys to our new car. Jeremy was great...answered all of our questions clearly and patiently, and without any pressure. He is the reason we so quickly made up our minds. Also, Subaru is a great car.

One of the best car buying experiences Ive had in my 58 years. Josh Jones was very helpful, knowledgeable, and was more than willing to work with us on issues we had. We actually were just looking, but Joshs laid back approach appealed to us, and since they had the vehicle we wanted on the lot, the price was right, and the trade was fair, we went ahead and bought the Sonata. Everyone at the dealership was extremely friendly and engaging. As I said, one of the best car buying experiences ever! I highly recommend Parkway of Wilmington and our sales person Josh Jones.
Make sure you look rich when stopping here. Walked in to pick up some parts for a late model subie. Not a greeting or anything from the staff.The parts guy seemed really inconvenienced to search for head bolts. 🤷 Ill go out of my way to avoid them from now on. Not a very friendly bunch.
My experience with Parkway Subaru was pleasant, efficient and stress free. The car was purchased for my daughter who is a student in NC. But I live in NY. The entire purchase process, paperwork, registration, etc was done remotely. My daughter test drove the car, and took delivery, but I actually never stepped into the dealership. My salesperson and the finance guy were both friendly and easily accessible. Communication was swift and done via phone, email and text. Thank you Parkway Subaru for taking the stress out of a stressful process.
I bought a used Lincoln from Matt at Parkway of Wilmington. It was a great experience, he gave me a great price up front. The process was quick and simple. No extra fees. No issues. The car was in great shape and very clean. There was a minor fault on a sensor after the purchase. They said to get it fixed and send them the bill as I was 330 miles away. They paid it immediately. Jeremy Race is aces in my book. I recently went into Parkway to look at a Subaru. I have been unimpressed with SUVs but thought I would have to succumb to the current trend. My friends purchased an SUV in December from Jeremy Race and talked me into meeting him. That was my lucky day! He asked me what I was looking for and actually listened. No pressure, no pitch, just options. One leisurely test drive in the 2016 Subaru Legacy Premium and it was mine. Jeremy scheduled a convenient time for me to go through each feature of the car with him. He followed up a few days later to make sure everything was working properly and to see if I had questions. I have purchased several cars but I have never received such considerate customer service. I highly recommend this dealership. The experience was awesome!
