To start off I would like to say I am so grateful for Joel and his team. After contracting several garage door experts and facing similar issues days after work was performed, Joel and his son finally gave me an honest explanation of the doors problem and worked with me to determine a permanent solution that was within my budget. Its been about 3 weeks and my garage door finally opens 100% of the time without any trouble for the first time since Ive owned this home. Could honestly not recommend anybody more then them.

Fast, knowledgeable, and friendly. Our technicians were helpful at explaining what they were fixing and how. Its not everyday you need to replace a spring or other heavy duty parts that usually last 8 to 10 years. For the cost of the repair, its expected life expectancy, and the customer service,it worked out to be between $30 and $50 a year for upkeep to have an automatic door when we dont have a service door in the garage!

A garage door opener was purchased at Home Depot for a newly installed garage door, and then we discovered that Home Depot does not install JUST the opener in North Carolina. We called Joel and were thrilled that he was willing to install just the opener even if he didnt sell it. He was friendly, professional, and efficient. He arrived when he said he would, brought all of the necessary parts for a new installation, and cleaned up the work site when finished. The charge was reasonable and must less than his competitors. We couldnt be happier.

One day my garage door opener decided to fail... The motor worked, the door opens manually and research and calls to the manufacturer confirmed the travel limiter was out of phase. I replaced the switch and the RPM sensor. Still, the opener did not operate correctly. Inspection shows that the drive belt was missing links and needed replacement. The garage door now 15 yrs old needed to be balanced.I reach out to local garage door repair companies... two responses and one that seemed very reasonable. I made arrangements with Joel Greco of The Garage Door Company of Carolina. Joel was able to make an appointment the next day. He arrived on-time, review and inspected the door and made his recommendation. We agreed on the approach that included balancing and lubricated both garage doors, replacing the drive belt and adjusted the travel limit on both doors.Less than one hour later, I had two operating and quiet garage doors for half the quoted price from the next closest offer. Joel is fast, efficient, professional, yet friendly. He cleaned up the area and placed a sticker next to the door openers to remind me of the next date for lubrication. Joel does not advertise, relying on word of mouth and Facebook.Highly Recommended!

Joel came to fix my garage door that stopped going up and down. Replaced the motor in less than an hour. My wife didnt like that the replacement had no motion sensor light and the door was still creaky. I let Joel know and he came back for no charge to replace the switch that had a motion sensor and put extra effort into making my door more quiet. Hands down the best service around! Thanks Joel!

A great way to gauge when a business has your best interests in mind is when theyre willing to lose your business if someone else would be a better option for you. This is exactly what happened when Joel came out to help us out. Our garage door had gotten stuck half open. He was able to get it fixed so that we could close it all the way (he did a great job doing so) and put a quote together for replacement as requested. Wed been thinking wed need to replace the door for a while based on something wed been told by our builder who had just done a renovation project so we were ready for it. Joels quote came in very reasonable, but he also made a suggestion that we reach out to the company that originally installed it. The brand of door wasnt one that he had the parts for, but suggested they may and it may end up being cheaper than replacing the whole door. We did so and found that it would, in fact, be cheaper to repair through this other company who is a dealer for that brand of door. Joel could have very easily just replaced the door for us, as we were requesting he do. He wouldnt even have been in the wrong to do so in my mind, but to go out of his way to make a suggestion that ended up saving us a ton of money goes a long way to show what kind of company this is. I could not recommend more strongly that you call them if youre in need of anything to do with your garage door!

Joel is a Rare Jewel. Most any guy/gal can be prompt, return calls, & generally be nice.However, Joel goes far beyond that all-too-often low bar. Our garage door quit working after a power surge this weekend. We called Joel Monday morning. He happened to be in my neighborhood at the time. Quick response when our garage door opener died. Joel understood I had a broken leg while trying to take care of Alzheimers Dad! He tried twice to make old opener work. Ended up adding a door reinforcement (saved old door) and installing new opener and keypad, as well as programming two older remotes to work with new opener.Would highly recommend Joel!

We decided to close in the bottom of our beach house that was built in 1956 on pilings. Quick response to my garage door needs. He called when he had an opening in his schedule and it worked out great for me. Only took him 20 minutes to asses my problem and resolve it. He knows his stuff. Very polite and performs high quality work. To take up the slack, he coils the electric wires coming out of the ceiling going to the garage door motor so they dont just hang there looking sloppy. Pays attention to every detail. Extremely good prices.

Joel is great! Within two hours of my calling him, he was here with all the parts necessary to fix our garage door. His pricing is competitive and he is very friendly and knowledgable. He went above and beyond by installing new springs (the same size as the previous ones), then realizing that they werent the right size - they would get the job done, but not up to his standards. He then took them off and put on bigger springs so that the door would work more smoothly. Dont even think to call anyone else - hes your guy!

He replaced the broken parts and diagnosed other issues that likely contributed to the failure, not accepting the failure just due to old age. He cleaned and lubricated the rails and wound the garage door spring. He likely bought me some more time with my old garage door. Joe is very friendly, knowledgeable, responsive, and has great rates. I was Concerned with my garage doors because i didnt have a lot of headroom, and i wanted to install sheet rock to my ceiling, in my garage. Mr. Greco then came out to the house, and helped me figure everything out, and told me about the Low clearance brackets that i have on my doors now, they gave me plenty of room for the sheet rock, and even an opener.Dude knew what he was talking about, very professional. thanks
